    Cream Crab Souo
    Christopher B.

Went to Maryland for the weekend, swung through Baltimore, and had lunch at the Rusty Scupper on a local's recommendation. Locals: 1, Google Reviews: 0. Best suggestion I've ever received in my life, no notes. The crab cakes. THE CRAB CAKES. 95% crab meat, 5% "why would we add filler bread, are we monsters." I didn't know crab cakes could have a personality until this one looked me dead in the eye. The Cream of Crab Soup was the best thing I've ever put on a roll and then had to switch to a spoon for, like it graduated from bread delivery system to full-blown soup mid-bite and I respected the glow-up. Not pictured: the Tuna Poke, which I'm still mad about. If you like poke bowls, do NOT eat here, because every poke bowl after this one is going to taste like a disappointing participation trophy. You will compare every future bowl to this one and every future bowl will lose. This is the place for a great meal, a gorgeous view, or the best first date that will ruin every future first date by comparison (sorry to whoever you date next). I repeat: do not go here if you ever want to enjoy food anywhere else again. You've been warned.

A gorgeous harbor front spot with great service, solid food, and even better vibes. We came during Restaurant Week, $55 two‑course menu, live jazz, and a smooth dining flow for our group of five adults and three kids. The kids stuck to burgers, tenders, and salmon while the adults enjoyed the fixed menu. The best part?, celebrating my mom's birthday! The staff doesn't do the traditional song, but our table started singing when her dessert arrived and the entire restaurant joined in. People clapped, one guest even came over to wish her well. It was genuinely sweet. With four alcoholic drinks, the total was just over $500, not bad. Very seafood heavy menu, but offers American staples as well!

The Whistle Pig Maple Old Fashioned was outstanding and set the tone for an incredible meal. I ordered the crab cake with asparagus and mashed potatoes, and it was honestly the best I've ever had. Everything on the plate was amazing from start to finish. Our server, Dante, was friendly and extremely funny, keeping us all laughing throughout the evening. He even went out of his way to bring separate gluten-free bread for someone in our group, which was a thoughtful and much appreciated touch. We had a beautiful view of the harbor with live piano music in the background. It couldn't have been a more perfect evening.

this meal was top-notch and I have to say the portion sizes were pretty great. I couldn't even eat all the vegetables, although they were so delicious on my plate. They didn't have as many gluten-free appetizer options as I would've liked to see but I asked him if they had gluten-free bread and they did bring me out a gluten-free bun lol I thought it was funny, but I really appreciated the effort. Went with a group of people, beautiful views I think it would be hard to have a business meeting there because it was so loud, but the white stuff was amazing and as I said, the food portion side was delicious delicious I had the blackened cod in the blackening seasoning that they use is out out of this world highly recommend

The crab cake was an amazing experience. Highly recommend. Great food with wonderful views. Our waitress was very nice and provided great service.

It was all good from the greeting, seating, service, and food. We tried the calamari, small seafood tower - 4/5 all was fresh and tasty and the lobster could have been more tender; entrees: blackened shrimp and grits, crab fettuccine, crab stuffed shrimp all good and rich with cream and butter, presumably. It was two of our birthdays, so complimentary cheesecake and ice cream were provided. Sometimes the service can make or break your dining experience and our server was perfectly accommodating. Oh - the champagne and limoncello cocktail were delicious. We had a good time.

Came here after spending the day at the aquarium and we are glad we made the walk around the harbor to get here. Service was great, our server was super cool and helpful. The restaurant is more upscale and has an incredibly nice view. We got lucky there was an air show so there were navy jets flying by the entire time we were there. The food was very good, I got the crab stuffed shrimp, my wife got blackened rockfish, and my sister got the fry basket. We also got oysters to start. Prices are a little steep here but given the location and ambiance, it's expected. Either way we had a great time and meal. I'd recommend this place to someone visiting Baltimore.

Had a really good lunch here. The salmon and vegetables were cooked well and the service was great. The view of the water was perfect as well.

Rusty Scupper was my first time visiting, and I have to say--the all-you-can-eat buffet brunch is top notch. The variety alone makes it worth it, but the quality seals the deal. My favorite was the omelette station (I'm an omelette guy), and they did not disappoint. Fresh, made-to-order, and exactly how you want it. If you're into seafood or southern fried catfish, you'll be in heaven--they've got it all covered. Drinks included with the price $67 person! Crazy deal! They also had a live pianist playing, which added a smooth, classy vibe to the whole experience. The atmosphere is relaxed, the bathrooms are clean, and everything felt well put together. I'll definitely be back. If you're looking for a solid brunch spot in Baltimore with great food and a nice waterfront feel, this is it. Oh yeah and the service was good.

Went to the Rusty Scupper for the first time today for Valentines Day dinner. They had a wonderful prix fixed menu for the holiday. It was a beautiful setting. My only reason for lower score was because they sat us in the table all the way to the end. My husband's view for the evening was the parking garage. We enjoyed the food all the same. My husband had the calamari to start (a healthy portion - we had leftovers). I had the half & half crab soup. It was a bit salty but went well with the delicious bread that they had. He had the sea bass (beautifully cooked). Nice and light. I had the lobster. We had the cheesecake and tiramisu for dessert. The food left us full. A satisfying meal.

Came back recently during happy hour just for a drink and a crab cake, and had a great experience. I enjoyed the Rusty Scupper Ale which was refreshing, and an absolutely delicious crab cake with large chunks of crab. We were also served bread which is just as good as I remembered from our prior visit. Our waitress was also super friendly and checked on us frequently. This is definitely one of my favorite spots in Baltimore for a nice dinner, and I look forward to coming back again when I'm in town.

Was in Baltimore for a day and wanted to make sure we got crab cakes before leaving. We had been walking around the inner harbor for a while and made our way over. We didn't get full dinner as we had another planned stop before flying home but that didn't impact service. Crab cakes were great. Large lumps of meat and not much filler. I also had the cream of crab soup. It was delicious and had a generous amount of lump crab meat. The Rusty Scupper ale was good too. Dinning area has a great view of the harbor area.

Birthday celebration with the Family....And, this restaurant couldn't have been more fitting!! From the views, ambiance and fantastic menu....I have no complaints! Rusty Scupper has been around since the ages of time at the Baltimore Harbor. I remember coming here in the 90's ( yes, dating myself...lol) and was surprised that they are still around and one on the original "OG's'" here at the Baltimore Harbor! We were a Family of Ten and were accommodated to the upmost. Never had to wait for a server and the customer service was on point. It could not have been better!! We were sat at a window table with a great view of the harbor. Our server was prompt and attentive (Bellinis galore!). We were here for the brunch layout. The food was fantastic!! Ham, prime rib and lamb carving station, seafood. custom omelets, fantastic buffet spread of delicious food...of all the breakfast classics and comfort food eats. And of course.....The Seafood!! Oysters, shrimp, crab & lobster.....you name it....they served it. In all, our food was top notch. Our severs were very attentive.... helpful and pleasant but not overbearing. Our water glasses and drinks were never emptied. Between the quality of the food and customer service, it could not have been a better experience! Thank you Rusty Scupper! I would recommend for the Sunday Brunch, any casual dining while in the area or special occasion! The vibe is great and the food is delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and left completely with Buddha rubbing--full bellies and satisfied. Will be back!! Thank you Rusty Scupper for the outstanding food and service! Will be back for sure.

Is parking free at the restaurant?

No, parking is not free. Reduced rate of $9.00 per day at the lower level parking garage with Rusty Scupper validation.

Do you take walk-in during Saturday brunch or do we need reservations?

You must make reservations. I learned the hard way my first time abs had to leave.

Is there a kids menu? My kids are 10 but still eat like toddlers 🤦🏽‍♀️

Not sure if there is a kids menu since we did not have any small children with us. I know the dinner menu provided did not include any kid choices. I am thinking that they do but it is a separate menu that you have to ask for. Hope this helps!

There's no outdoor seating, but inside you can get just as good as a view. Also park in the garage and take your ticket in to get it validated.

I wouldn't wear cargo shorts but that's because I don't consider them casual dress. A lightweight pair of slacks, maybe linen blend and a polo shirt is more of my idea of casual. Plus you're going to be indoors so it's cool. You only need to walk…

The food came pretty quickly, so it's a nice choice if you're bringing kids (or hungry adults).

It's right on the harbor so depending on where you are seated you may be able to get dinner with a view. Reservations were easy to obtain and I was able to be promptly seated once I arrived. The staff were friendly and my server was attentive. I ordered the crispy fish sandwich and was pleasantly surprised at the portion size. The meal was delicious and I left full. Highly recommend if you're at the harbor.

We order the turkey club, hush puppies, cream of crab soup, the charcuterie board, fries, and fried oysters to share. The turkey club was the star of the show. It had nice layers of avocado, the chicken was cooked well, and the bacon added a nice touch. For drinks we stuck to the margaritas and they were perfect! I would say you can skip the fries, the seasoning was great the batch of fries we had seemed like they might not have been fresh. The rest of the menu was so good I would still say you could skip the fries and order a double serving of hush puppies.

We immediately asked the hostess for a different table. She told as that the three booths and the six other two-tops were all reserved. She left us with no attempt at an apology and promptly put reserved signs on all the open tables. When we left an hour later, one booth and 4 two-tops had never been used. Much to our dismay, we saw people seated outside even though we had received a text before arriving saying the patio was closed for the evening. To add insult to injury, even half empty, the noise level was so uncomfortable since everything was tile, marble, or wood that the alarm sensor on my smart watch sounded because of the decibel level. We will not be back.
