Philly Cheesesteak
Melinda S.

We stopped here for a late lunch and a drink. We chose a seat at the bar. Staff here were friendly and there was a decent beer selection. They have an outdoor seating area and table seating inside as well. We decided to share a cheesesteak and fries. The fries were average in my opinion. The cheesesteak was good! My bf and I both enjoyed it. It was a large sandwich and we were both full sharing it. I would have added a bit more pepper and some garlic or onion powder, but that's just me. The roll was good, the meat was tender, and the cheese whiz worked well with jt. Overall, this spot had a nice, casual vibe and I'd return again.

We stopped by a little after 11am on a Saturday and there were 12 of us. We were able to get a table outside for all of us with not a lot of notice which was great. It's right across the street from the convention center which is convenient. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My crab cake sandwich was a bit on the pricey side but good. I thought my friend's nachos needed more toppings and cheese. We also got orange crushes which were pretty good. Our server was very patient and funny and we all loved him. He was the best party of the experience!

Love this place! It has so many cool beverages. The service is quick friendly and through. It is a cute tavern bar setting. It is great for groups and visiting friends or family. Eating and sipping.

Crab dip and baguettes

Arrived here around 1230 on a Thursday, no wait at the bar. We had just got in from KC and we're hungry, decided to have the crab appetizer with the baguettes, so good. Enough for a meal for 2 but would make a great app for a group. Kelly and Jazz were behind the bar taking care of everyone. This all paired well with my Paloma and my sisters Margarita. I will be back!

Had an event there on a second floor - greatly organized, welcoming staff and delicious food - from crab cakes and meatballs to deserts. When we were down - crowd downstairs were so vibrant- made a place look good

Do NOT eat here! Bad food quality and lousy customer service. Uncaring management. I experienced the absolute worst service and food quality at this restaurant on 6/17/25, to include double-charging me for mac & cheese with crab. The restaurant's manager, Jennifer Myers, was totally rude to me and reneged on her promise to correct a bad meal. They served me mac & cheese w/crab ($28) with VIRTUALLY NO CRAB meat. When I reported the problem to the manager, Jennifer Myers, she promised to replace my meal with an option of my choice: two crab cakes. Twenty minutes later, she pulled a bait and switch, and served me a MKT price ($58) crab cake dinner. When I called out the double-priced meal, the manager returned, over-talked me, snatched the food back, and left me with nothing! She even called me "aggressive" when I asked for better service, and advocated for myself and respectable service. My table companions told her, "He's not aggressive." In the end, I left with nothing. What kind of service is that? Terrible. Eat where the restaurant's staff respects you. Skip Pratt Street Ale House! Do NOT visit this establishment, unless you're prepared to accept worse-than-mediocre food quality and lousy customer service. Go to Okona Grill or somewhere else where people welcome you and provide top-notch service and food. You'll thank me. Trust me.

Customer Service: 5 Affordability: 4 Food quality: 4 Portion sizes: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Military discount: Yes I decided to stop by the Pratt Street Ale House this evening for dinner, because it was within just two blocks from my hotel. This is a popular sports bar that is close to the Oriole Park at Camden Yards and the Baltimore Convention Center. I ordered their fish and chips for dinner, and choose to watch the baseball game in the bar area. This sports bar was not busy and I didn't have any wait. My fish and chips was seasoned very well and it was a large portion. Lastly, I was given a military discount of my meal which was a pleasant surprise. @glampedlife

Hot chicken sandwich

I wondered why the building was so big, but it all made sense when I walked in and the place was packed (both up and downstairs). Got on the waitlist with an estimated 30 minute wait, but we were seated within 15. My girlfriend wanted a regular hamburger, but Pratt Street Ale only has specialty burgers, which was kind of odd. They don't even have an option on the register for a regular hamburger, so we still got charged for the specialty. However, it did taste REALLY good - maybe not $17 good, but up there. The hot chicken sandwich was okay. Not as spicy as I'd like, and I wish there were some more pickles or coleslaw to add flavor. Fries were amazing if you like crinkle cut! My biggest gripe was PARKING! There is virtually no parking nearby unless you're willing to pay $40+ for 45 minutes in the public lot. Insane! No street parking in front of the building, so you'll have to drive around for a bit to find a meter. But you'll get a nice walk on the way to and from the building!

We loved every single thing. The bangers and mash might have been our favorite, it was super flavorful, and they even included some mustard to go along with it. My husband ate most of it. We were impressed with the portion sizes as well. The fish and chips were delicious. The fish was super flakey and not dry. Even the crawfish etouffee was super tasty. When we arrived back at our hotel bar they were about to close and suggested we check out this place. We followed there advice and were so glad we did. Upon entry they appeared to be closng down and said they go with the number of patrons to determine their closing time. This worked out greatly as once we arrived and only two other patrons were at the bar a swarm soon followed. Our favorite bartender is Laura. I noticed a huge difference in her making my drink and the other bartenders who only ask for your order but give no suggestions, do not offer to allow you to sample something on tap, and the potency. I soon realized that I will only recommend this place to others if Laura is the bartender. There were times we wanted to try something new, she asked a few questions and handcrafted us the perfect drink. Her personality was amazing, drinks were strong, and she kept people wanting to drink and be apart of the banter. If Laura isn't there I am not going. We went two nights in a row and the second night we were there we brought with us a couple we met who were in Bmore from Cleveland for a cruise. They enjoyed the place but it was missing her personality, patrons, and the drinks weren't as handcrafted, special or potent. now for the food. This is by far a pub with the best food I have ever tasted. I ordered the fish and chips that was an amazing fleshy piece of cob hand breaded and a jambalaya that too this day I am still dreaming about with its chunks of chicken breast, sauteed small pieces of sausage and gravy like texture filled with flavor that was bold and packed a welcomed punch. My partner had some type of irish sausage dish and loved it. We will return to visit Laura this spring for our next rendevous here for sure.

My wife saw they had black bean soup and a pork special, so we decided to stay and were seated. Since our last visit about a year ago, they've made some changes. The seating has been updated, with a second bar added along with high-top tables and booths. The space looks very nice. Our server came over, took our drink order, and we asked for a bowl of the black bean soup. When he returned, my wife asked how the pork special was, and he said it was very good, so she ordered it. I ordered the cod fish and chips. When the food came out, everything looked good at first. Unfortunately, the fish and chips were very greasy -- it seemed like the fries were placed on the plate to soak up the grease from the fish. My wife's pork dish was worse. She was given two slices with connective tissue running through them that were so tough she couldn't even get a fork into them. The other piece was also extremely tough and difficult to cut, and the gravy had no flavor. When our server finally came back to check on us, my wife showed him the pork. His response was simply that he would let the manager know and take it off the bill. There was no offer to replace the dish or bring her something else to eat. After that, we never saw him again. My wife eventually asked another server for tea, which a different server brought. Later, another server came by to see if we were finished. I asked how much the eggnog was, and she quoted the price for a bottle, said I just want a glass, she said I'll get you a menu I explained to another waitress I just wanted a glass. Eventually, I got it -- though I asked for it without ice, and it still came with ice. At that point, I just drank it. The best thing was the bean soup. Overall, this was not a good meal and honestly the worst experience we've had in the 10+ years we've been coming here. Between the food quality and the lack of follow-up from our server, it was very disappointing. It will be quite a while before we return.

In March 2018, my girlfriend at the time wanted to go here as there was a group of people going for St. Patrick's Day. We went here along with her young pre-teen daughter. They almost weren't going to let us in, but my g/f assured we just needed to eat, and they said since it was before 9 PM, it'd be ok. I enjoyed my Shepherd's Pie, a solid option here. After eating, there was dancing on the dance floor and a couple of people I knew. Then, my g/f went out to the dance floor. I'm sitting at the table with my g/f's pre-teen daughter who fell asleep. It was awkward for me especially since someone asked me if she was ok, and I said she's just tired. We left sometime in the midnight hour. But the fact of the matter was that my g/f shouldn't have put her daughter in that situation. On a positive, her daughter graduated high school & is still alive today in 2025, so her mom did something right. The other time I was here was in February 2023. The servers were friendly and prompt, and cheerfully gave us separate checks when it was time to pay. But, unless you like your beer warm, the drinks may disappoint you. The fries were good though, and the fried fish that others ordered looked to be perfectly done. So perhaps I'll come back when I'm in the mood for some classical fare. Too bad about the beer though.,,

The shrimp po'boy was large enough to split and was comparable to a sandwich from New Orleans in quality. I was tempted by the club but the turkey isn't the style I like, otherwise I could easily see myself trying more of the menu because it's clear the cook was skilled. The rail ginger beer and rum was inexpensive and well made and their selection of beer while currently missing a few key dark beer items was not bad at all, they included some draft beer options as well outside of the standard light beers and National Bohemian. All in all I would see myself returning when I head to the area for Ottobar events to try more of their food menu, just remember to get there somewhat early before the kitchen closes at 10.
