29th street tavern is a low-frills, divey bar. We stopped by because I had always drove by the red neon lights and was curious. Catfish nuggets were the special of the evening. They were pretty tasty and I love the fresh cut fries. The portions were good. And my boyfriend loved that resurrection beer was on the menu. Would definitely return.

View from our table for two, love this kitschy stained glass pub vibe, it's nice and clean including the bathrooms.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Foreign Legion/VFW post vibe is pretty cool, went on a Tuesday night around 9 and even though the bar was full we only had to wait 5 minutes for a table for two.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartenders were polite and cleaned our table quickly, considering the place was packed they were doing an amazing job. The Buffalo Garlic Parm sauce for the wings was clearly home made and without realizing it we were there on a Tuesday making the wings only 9 dollars, the blue cheese is very mild but worked well with the sauce. The shrimp po'boy was large enough to split and was comparable to a sandwich from New Orleans in quality. I was tempted by the club but the turkey isn't the style I like, otherwise I could easily see myself trying more of the menu because it's clear the cook was skilled. The rail ginger beer and rum was inexpensive and well made and their selection of beer while currently missing a few key dark beer items was not bad at all, they included some draft beer options as well outside of the standard light beers and National Bohemian. All in all I would see myself returning when I head to the area for Ottobar events to try more of their food menu, just remember to get there somewhat early before the kitchen closes at 10.

This is an excellent neighborhood dive bar. The prices are reasonable and the food is very well executed, classic bar food. The deviled eggs were particularly good; they taste like something you get at a family cookout. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar has the exact kind of ambiance you would hope for at this type of establishment - it's dimly lit, covered in dark wood, with some old, yellow and red old stained glass lamps, and a dart board in the back[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

29th street is a hidden gem! Truly one of my favorite places to eat! I have yet to order something from here that I do not like and they are super consistent! Every time I come, the food is just as good as it was the previous time. Menu is affordable. I forgot to get a photo of the chicken cheesesteak and blt but both were delicious. The handcut fries are AMAZING as well.

We went in a cold day snowed streets hoping to get tomatoe soup and grilled cheese. With a sub for mom. We met some nice bartenders that were attentive and engaging. Didnt have my soup nor grilled cheese. So I settled for a salad. Mom enjoyed her Wed special, cheesesteak so that was enough for me

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great local spot for a beer or cider in a friendly environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartenders are genuinely nice folks, too. Somehow, I'm going to make it here soon for a happy hour to take advantage of their great.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is a hip and cool scene, a packed local bar scene.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a delicious veggie burger and fries and a non-alcoholic beer. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Food was awesome especially the Maryland cream of crab soup. Service was excellent. Beers are cheap.

Smash burger and fries. #Yum

I really should just copy the review @OctaviusS wrote and paste it here (with attribution!). We went on the early side, and I think all three of us got burgers -- but the burger that was on special, the smash burger. So, so good. I also love their selection of beer, and the cozy, homey atmosphere. Definitely plan to visit again when I'm in Baltimore again.

I've popped by a few times because it's all the buzz. I typically get whatever the daily special is and it hits every time 10/10.

I wanted to try their…read morechicken salad with mango dressing that was on their menu but it was sold out so ended up making my own custom salad. It seemed like they were out of a lot items even though it was prime lunch hours. Also some of the ingredients didn't look too fresh. For example, the blueberries and shredded carrots looked old and dried up. Anyways, I decided to get jerk chicken with mixed greens and had the option to choose 4 more items (cherry tomatoes, candied pecan, hard boiled egg and bell peppers). I decided to try the honey ginger dressing. The lady making my salad was very polite but did take some time to make the salad. Also, the place is called "Tossed Together" so I thought they would toss my salad in a bowl but they just gave me salad dressing on the side in small plastic container with foil on top. Had to be careful transporting it to my office so the dressing didn't spill over and get all over the place. The salad was good, but I wouldn't say it was $12.75 good. Portion was small for the price and as I've mentioned earlier, some of the ingredients didn't look fresh. I understand this place just opened up not too long ago, so they might be still working out their kinks so I'm willing to try this place out again maybe in a month or so.

But I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this gem. The owner is funny and witty and "tossed" together a yummy chicken chipotle salad wrap. It sounds boring but it's fantastic and the ingredients are so fresh. They have a nice assortment of wraps, salads, soups and fresh pressed drinks. Definitely about to be my go to for healthy delicious food.

This place is pretty amazing in my book…read more I used to eat here often in 2011/ 2012 for lunch. I returned to this place 3'2025, and things are back to usual. Anyhoo, instead of past fav David and Dad's Café, I went with the Circuit Court lunch list pick of Nalley Fresh (in the famed Sun Trust Building). You get various protein and add-on choices and choice of salad or wrap or whateves, plus chips (Uglies) and sweets, including their "famed" chocolate brownie. Courteous and efficient service, plus I think they gave me better than the 10% discount as a sad sack juror! Excellent chicken Caesar wrap with vinegar chips and brownie! I highly recommend Nalley Fresh for your jury duty lunch where there is some window seating with AC if not outside tables on a less hot day. Bonus: It you ask nicely, the adjoining lobby desk person may lead you to a tucked-away bathroom to freshen up before you head back to do your civic duty for the rest of the day. (Note: Lucky me, I did not get picked, and by early afternoon on a Friday, we jury "orphans" were released again to our "normal" lives--to live free and easy for another year.)
