We came here for the Christmas pop-up to grab a drink and a snack before we headed to a neighbor's Christmas party. The decor was fantastic and so cozy, the service was great, every staff member we interacted with was friendly. We had a mix of cocktails, whiskey, and beer, plus some delicious, hot, and fresh fried tenders. I still haven't made it here for a full meal, I look forward to coming back in 2026 and updating my review!

This is one of our go to spots and is a can't miss if you're visiting Baltimore. With 100+ beer taps there's something amazing for everyone. (They do also have cocktails, cans, and regular drinks, but I will judge you .) The bartenders here are top notch and know their beers. On Friday night we went here late and I did not have any idea what I wanted, but Jaime served me two amazing beers with just a few suggestions of styles from me. He's 10/10 every time we see him The only thing slightly lacking is their bar food. We don't generally eat here but they do have a nice menu with everything from nachos to pulled pork. I do love their tater bowl! Finally, the space is very large, they have several bars and an upstairs. Plenty of TVs to watch sports, lots of tables and plenty of bar space. If you are coming for a beer fest make sure to get in early to get a seat at the bar for the best beer and service in town.

Chimay x4 on tap. I like that. Playing some punk music during the day. Attentive bartender. Bald tattooed punk playlist playing gentleman. Made me happy. Even happier sitting in a sunny window.

Visiting Baltimore and I chose this place for the many recommendations it has on its "pit sandwich". Aside from blue crab, Maryland/Baltimore is also known for this sandwich consisting of roast beef. Max's takes this a step further with an option it also add smoked turkey. Sunday afternoon the Ravens are playing and even with that I was able to get a seat at the bar where I was promptly asked what I'd like to drink. After a quick look I got a local Maryland beer and ordered the pit sandwich with both roast beef and smoked turkey. The beer was fantastic and the sandwich ok, nothing spectacular about it considering it was $16. I do feel like it needs a sauce of some type to really bring it together and for $1 you can add an aoilo and onions to it. It took 30 minutes for me to get the sandwich which I had to ask the bartender to check on it for me. When my food was brought out I touched it to check the temperature, the exposed meat was cold and the meat between the bun was slightly warm as we're the tots, so I feel like it sat for a long time. Definitely spend the extra $1 for that aoilo and onions

Just an update that this place is still amazing! Love coming here for beers and for the events they have. The bartenders are fantastic, the selection of beers and liquor are great, and love their chili, cornbread, and quesadillas! Always a great place to hang out!

Love a good pub service! Makes ordering easy. All staff was great, friendly and attentive. Great vibes from the staff to decor which created a comfortable atmosphere but still unique. Beer selection is awesome- a good mix of local and international. We tried The Pit Sandwich- turkey - chef's spicy special - it's a MUST order! The turkey on its own was flavorful and cooked well - the combination with the other flavors of the sandwich were exquisite. I'm still thinking about the sandwich and wish I lived closer so I could have it again. We will be back next time we are in fells point.

Max's is my go-to happy hour/big friend group hang out spot. They have amazing cocktails and also the best beer menu around so everyone is happy. The space is huge so you can spread out and take over an area if you like. They always have the important games on and the vibes are always so chill and fun. The bartenders are funny and offer great suggestions.

Max's is one of my favorite spots in Baltimore. I got the raspberry sour which was amazing. The service was fast and the bar had a great vibe.

A solid spot to meet up with friends in the Fells Point area. There's lots of seats and TV's perfect for watching a game. I had an orange crush during my most recent visit and the prices were great (compared to DC lol) and the bartender was friendly. I personally didn't have any food but everyone around me looked like they were enjoying. They offer typical bar food, no frills but solid food. Highly recommend, just sometimes parking can be tricky in this area.

Max's is an old faithful of mine! I have been here countless times for nights out and to watch Raven's games. The food is decent bar food and they have a huge selection of beer, alongside cocktails and wine. They also offer karaoke on Friday night's which is a lot of fun as well. This is a good spot to hang with friends and family, and it's good for a large group!

Very casual pub. Feels exactly how you'd expect. Ordering could be tricky when it is full, because they do it publicly style & you order from the bartenders. Thankfully it wasn't too too busy when I was there. The pit beef sandwich is insane.. It's seriously so good! Get it with the horseradish aioli and fried onions. Chips are perfectly crisp and on the thick side. Everything is seasoned well. I don't drink, but didn't feel out of place here.. If you like beer this is the place for you. They have more beer selections than anywhere I have seen. Will be back when I'm in Baltimore again.

I have struggled with my Duda's review since August since I would strongly recommend it but I'm also price-cautious. To make matters worse I don't remember the exact crab market price but it was possibly $31 or $32 for one and low $50s for two (fact-checkers welcome). The crab cake was superb. All killer, no filler. The potato salad was very good. While I didn't love the price/volume I can't claim expertise on market prices and If you look at the drink prices this is clearly not a ripoff place. Possibly it's a better deal if you're with a group and can split some apps. In line with my slow education that Baltimore has more than the Inner Harbor, Duda's had a spectacular sense of place. It was a rare experience in feeling like a true locals place that is friendly to tourists. There's no record scratch and "you ain't from around here." The waiter was excellent and was impressively emphatic about the crab cakes.

Even if you don't really drink this pub is still a nice dinner/date night outing. Will say some of the seating was a little uncomfortable (both my bf and the gentlemen next to us are over 6 feet tall but sat on tiny chair/stools) but that might have been the only negative. We were not super hungry so we decided to share a lighter plate and an entree. While the menu does change almost day to day sometimes I do believe the cheese and chutney plate is a constant. Two cheeses, some chutney, butter, spicy brown english mustard and rye bread. So simple but so delicious. I could have eaten that by myself. For the entree we split a half poussin (a quail?) which was served with borlatti beans and an aioli. Again everything was really yummy. I'd come back to the Wren again.
