Super cute restaurant with very friendly service. The restaurant is tucked away in Fells Point but is surprisingly huge so larger parties are welcome. Decor is also top notch. They have cute events like Galentines popups with local businesses and themed drink menus. The creme brûlée filled cinnamon sugar french toast (yes it is a mouthful but it is so good! try the cookies and cream version too.) I tried my friend's marco dopo short rib burger and it was also delicious (the tomato jam gives it a sweet and savory taste) The Le Moxie mocktail is good but not as sweet as I hoped. Tart lovers will like it. I'd definitely come back to try more of their menu!

I hadn't been here since they first opened, and I wasn't very impressed with the food during my initial visit. However, I dined here again last week for a girls' night out and really enjoyed the experience this time around. We had reservations, which I highly recommend since the restaurant was very busy. All of the appetizers were delicious--we ordered the calamari, beef carpaccio, meatballs, and sweet potato. Surprisingly, the sweet potato stood out the most. The green sauce it comes with is incredibly flavorful and pairs perfectly with the dish. We each ordered our own pasta, and I chose the squid ink pasta, which I thought was delicious. The pasta was cooked al dente, and I really enjoyed the flavor. The only downside is that the pasta dishes are quite expensive for the portion size, and I didn't feel completely full afterward. That said, the service was excellent and the cocktails were also very good. I would definitely come back to try some of their other pasta dishes.

Service was great. Food was delicious. Cocktails were amazing. Music was a vibe. However, those with a seafood allergy are limited because the preparation is not separated when it comes to the fryer. For example, we checked out the menu, I had my mouth set on the Tuscan chicken lollipops. Learned when we arrived, they were fried in the same oil as seafood. I had to find other options, but that really sucked.

Right as I walked in, I noticed the very festive decor from the Christmas tree to the entrance of string lights for the holidays. I loved the inviting feel the restaurant gave. We were seated near the back in a booth that accommodated 7. We ordered drinks and then went straight to ordering our entrees. We ended up all ordering from the pasta section. I went with the mafalde -- veal ragu, grana with a tomato base. I also tried the squid ink chitarra, spicy crab spaghetti, lobster diavolo, and the sausage rigatoni. I'm glad we all got something different cause we all shared like family style. My favorite was the spicy crab spaghetti since it had a kick to it and I enjoyed the crab balls. I think it's a cute spot in the heart of fells point for a date night or a celebration.

I stopped in here with some friends. I wasn't really hungry but I saw the crab toast on the menu. I am so glad I decided to order something to nibble on bc this was the best crab toast I have ever had in my life! I would order it over and over again! The staff was welcoming and the ambiance was great!

I loved walking in and seeing all of the cute, funky, modern decor. Every worker here was super friendly. We decided to split the Bruschetta, the Spicy Salami Pizza, and the Chopped Salad. The food here is A+! Every bite was so delicious. That pizza is currently haunting my foodie dreams. The only knock on this place is that it is exceptionally loud, so I can't recommend it for a date night. We will definitely be back for the food, though.

Menu needs work in my opinion ..some non-pork options would be great, but it's a lovely spot for cocktails. I really enjoy the calamari, "In the Loupe" cocktail and their espresso martinis.

One of the nicer restaurants in Fells Point with really cute decor. I've been here a few times now for brunch, happy hour, and now dinner recently. The space is a lot bigger than it appears from outside. There is a lot of seating inside along with a back dining room area and a smaller upstairs room for private events with a bar. My experiences have all been pretty good here with solid food and solid drinks. I was with a few friends this time and we got seated in the back dining area. We ordered a couple round of drinks that we all enjoyed. Shared a Bruschetta appetizer and ordered our main entrees. I should have gotten something different but ordered their Spaghetti Limone. It was very plain and really lemony flavored. Pricey for just lemon flavored spaghetti noodles, ah well. My friend's dish - Squid Ink Chitarra, was great which I've also had before and the others enjoyed their dishes as well - Mafalde and Sausage Rigatoni. Service was very slow tonight. I think since we were put in the back, our server who was also bartending, had us out of sight, out of mind lol. It took 15-20 mins every time he came to take orders of something and almost 45 mins for our food to arrive. We were enjoying catching up so it was fine but we noticed the slow service. Other past experiences were good too. Brunch pizza and mimosas were good. Happy hour specials for drinks are great. I like their Tuscan Chicken Lollipop and Meatballs on the happy hour menu. Overall, a cool place to come to for some great ambience and good food and drinks.

I really enjoyed my meal at Prima Dopo! My husband got the Sushi Style Italian Roll as a starter and I ordered the spaghetti. The food was delicious. Two people ordered a pizza as well which was shared with the group. They have a pumpkin spice espresso martini on their menu right now too which my husband also got. Our server/bartender Brooke was fun and helpful with the larger party and made good suggestions about the menu. My aunt ordered the malfade which was undercooked but Brooke was nice to take it off the check and offer another item instead. This would be a really good date night spot in Baltimore plus they also apparently offer brunch as an option too! There was a live dj while we were there plus they're decorated for Christmas!

We were in town for a family trip, we went during the day time, the restaurant was really nice. We wanted their lunch menu, but they only serve brunch on weekends. Our server was really sweet, she could tell we were disappointed about not being able to order the lunch menu, but everything was so good we had to go back for dinner and it was even prettier in the evening. We started off with calamari and it was really good because it was crispy and it had a spicy kick to it. The cocktails were great. The pasta was made in house and it was so good. We really enjoyed everything. I wish we had this restaurant here in Nashville. I'd definitely go back whenever I go back to Baltimore.

One of the best Caesar salads I've ever had was from Prima Dopo. Super fresh, perfectly dressed, and the flavors were on point. I also tried the spicy salami pizza with fresh roasted garlic on top... chefs kiss! To sip, I had the Prima Frizz--not only was it pretty, but it tasted just as good as it looked. Highly recommend if you're into bold flavors and cute cocktails and vibes

I didn't order as much as normally would have because we were heading to the game but still what I had was great! Our friends ordered a lot of various dishes for the table and my husband definitely indulged in some items aside from his skillet too. Menu- Fabulous! So many options and a little something for everyone. Service- Again, amazing! A lost art in restaurants where we currently live. I always miss Baltimore even when we're back home to visit. Decor/Vibe- I mean this is hands down a place to get those great pictures! Just look at it! Parking- Ample street but it is Fells so there are garages too. So cheap and on either end of Thames, and that's what we opted for.

I came with a friend on a Wednesday night - she made a reservation ahead of time but I think it would've been fine without one too. The staff were friendly and the food came out fast but the service was slow at the end (there weren't any servers around, we had to actively try to find someone to ring us up and get boxes after waiting for a while since we were in a time crunch to leave). This is the 3rd time I've been here and the service was slow the other times as well. We ordered the beef carpaccio, sausage rigatoni, and the lobster diavolo. The carpaccio was just alright, but both pastas tasted great. For drinks, we ordered the Le moxie and cafe kinda dopo mocktails. I ordered the coffee mocktail without really looking at the price and when the check came back as $13, it seemed rather absurd for a watered down iced coffee. I realized as I was writing this review, that the server incorrectly charged my drink as the alcoholic cafe dopo ($13) vs the coffee mocktail that I ordered ($12) - not that it was a huge difference financially but it was incorrect nonetheless. Besides the slow service and the incorrectly charged/overpriced coffee mocktail, the restaurant has a nice ambiance for date night or food/drinks with friends.

The service from the bartenders was not so great or welcoming. When I asked about the espresso martini and asked for it without lavender, the bartender made way too big of a deal. The espresso martini is pre-made. I opted for a vodka soda and it was pretty hard to drink. The menu feels limited. They do not have pineapple, Red Bull, or many other popular mixes. Positively, prices are very good, especially compared to the other bars in the area. I would like to go back and try the food because it smelled amazing and hopefully find something better to drink on the menu that I like!

There's a back area, sort of like a dinning room, with little booths for those wishing for some privacy. The red lights gives the bar that good old 1920s (prohibition) feel. I felt at any moment the authorities would swing through the door forcing us to hide our drinks. **Wild thoughts** Kyle made a cocktail he's "been working on" and he needs to put that shxt on the menu asap! So delicious. It was late night and I stayed here about an hour (closed the spot ha) and I was able to enjoy a mini impromptu concert by another patron Ebony, as Kyle was sweet enough to play some of her music. All in all, a perfect end to my evening. High recommendation for Rye. The End.

Fells Point

This one was an unexpected gem and one of the most memorable stops of our Fells Point trip…read more We walked in on a Thursday night (not sure of the exact time), and it was completely empty. No bartender in sight, no other patrons, no background noise. For a moment, we genuinely wondered if we were in the right place. The bar is down a flight of stairs, tucked into the basement, and it's notable because it's Fells Point's only and possibly first basement bar, which already gives it serious character points. We waited near the bar for a few minutes, heard nothing, saw no one, and eventually started heading back up the stairs to leave. That's when Steve, the bartender, literally came after usnot in a weird way, but in a very human, "Hey! Sorry about that, I was in the stock room come back in!" way. And honestly? From that moment on, the experience completely flipped. Steve was phenomenal. Friendly, welcoming, deeply knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the place. He's worked there for 18 years, and once we sat down, he turned the bar into a living history lesson. He shared stories about Fells Point, Baltimore, Edgar Allan Poe, the building itself, and all the ghost stories tied to the space. He also told us about the celebrities who've passed through, including the fun detail that Blake Shelton once sat in the very bar stool I was sitting in and ordered a Bullet bourbon. Naturally, that kind of trivia just adds to the charm. Drink-wise, I ordered an Angry Orchard, and my friend had a single Tito's with cranberry and soda water. Our total was $26.16, which feels pretty standard for Baltimore definitely not cheap, but not shocking either. The bar itself is small, intimate, and packed with atmosphere exposed brick, low ceilings, and that cozy, historic, slightly haunted vibe you hope for in a basement bar. It's also connected to The William Fell Inn hotel through a separate entrance, which makes it feel like a hidden secret rather than a tourist stop. We loved the history, the stories, the ghosts, the setting and especially Steve. Being the only patrons that night was actually a gift, because it let us really soak it all in. That said, we're absolutely planning to come back on a busy night to see how the energy shifts when it's full. If you love historic bars, good storytelling, and places that feel like they've seen things Anchor Bar is a must. ‍

It starts with a regular old fashioned, then once you've sipped out about an inch, they put a bunch of herbs on top and light them on fire with a kitchen torch. The result is a whole second cocktail experience. Well worth the $21. They also serve food, and if you're not sure what you're in the mood for, you are in luck - they serve food from both restaurants upstairs, Duck Duck Goose and Osteria Pirata. This is an old school basement bar with the decor and lighting to match. It is not a highly polished, brand new speakeasy with mood lighting. This place has been mixing cocktails behind the same wooden bar since flared jeans were in fashion the first time. Definitely worth a stop. The bartender, Steve, is a real treat. He wouldn't tell us any ghost stories, but did tell us that this is potentially one of the most haunted places in town.

Smooth, rich, perfectly balanced... this is the kind of drink that reminds me why I started my little espresso martini passport in the first place. It was giving luxury, it was giving intention, it was giving I need another one immediately. For food, I started with the crudo, which was super fresh and beautifully done -- light, bright, and the perfect way to kick off the meal. Then I had the scallops, and this is where they really won me over. Perfectly cooked, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth... just one of those dishes you don't want to end. The whole experience felt elevated without being stuffy -- gorgeous waterfront vibes, amazing service, and food and drinks that actually deliver.
