Our server was nice, she was very understanding and never made myself or my family feel like we were being too much when we asked 100+ questions. For food I ordered the spicy Salami Pizza, and it was so good! It was more of a balanced taste where yes it's "spicy" but there was moments of sweetness too. I didn't picture all the food but we also ordered the Carbonaro, butter noodles and lobster Mac. I will warn you tho the "Mac and cheese" was very cheesy but we were expecting something more like baked Mac so that was a little disappointing. My cousin in law also ordered herself a cherry expresso martini and she absolutely loved it! My baby cousin ordered a Shirley temple and she said "this is the best Shirley ever" now I believe her because kids do not lie when something taste good. If you are looking for phenomenal Italian food with a cool vibe, head straight to Prima Dopo! My daughter found this place and it did not disappoint. We started with a crab toast, which was a nice piece of toast with arugula, dressed in a lemon dressing with fresh pieces of crab on top. We both wished we didn't need to share it with the other! I got the Dopo salad, which was well dressed, had plenty of meat and cheese and very filling! My daughter got the sausage rigatoni which had one of our favorites, mushrooms in it. Not only is the atmosphere unlike something you would anticipate when entering a restaurant in fells, warm, beautiful ambience, chic decor. In regard to a catered dinner party, Prima Dopo did an excellent job. The staff were amazing, keeping the food table full with fresh food and drinks in your hand. The menu of choice for the evening was: Salad, Charcuterie board, meatballs, pizza and bruschetta. Drinks: Full bar. My drinks for the night; bourbon neat, spritz, champagne and red wine. Favorites of the evening: Bruschetta that was out of this world (OK Prima!) and the spritz. Overall, it was a great experience for a catered event. We had been to Prima Dopo twice prior. Wonderful experiences with food and service both times. We reserved for Christmas Eve for our family of four at 7:30p. We received a phone message that restaurant would like us to move reservation earlier as kitchen would close at 7p that evening. I called back and talked to a manager who assured us that the kitchen wouldn't close at 7p, just last reservation would be 7p. He also assured us that the 15 minute reservation hold would be in place and we wouldn't be rushed out as the last seating. They wanted to get workers home early for holiday. Perfectly reasonable. We arrived to restaurant at 7:09p on 12/24. We waited for a host for several minutes. Restaurant was near empty. A server came to hostess stand and told us kitchen was closed. She said she would double check with kitchen. The manager appeared and told us kitchen was closed at 7p, restaurant would not be able to serve us. I shared what I was told on phone by a different manager when I moved our reservation earlier. The manager was curt and unapologetic, we would not be served. WOW! Worst hospitality EVER on Christmas Eve to boot. Hospitality is the golden rule for restaurants. As delicious as the food was at Prima Dopo, we will not be returning. Deeply disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. The dining room is spacious and can definitely accommodate large groups. I dined with a party of 7 on a Sunday afternoon. We had a reservation but one wasn't necessary. I ordered a le moxie, Caesar salad, sweet potatoes and chicken parm frites. The le moxie was fresh and not too sweet. I usually ask for salad dressing on the side when I order salads but I forgot this time. The dressing was heavy but the salad was good. The sweet potatoes were my favorite out of everything. The basil yogurt was unexpectedly delicious. The chicken parm frites was just okay- the sauce was salty and there was too much of it to eat around it. Arriving early for our reservation, we were shunted into a corner while the hostess figured out what to do. She took us to our table which was available and set but she would not let us sit down. She then told us that, despite the fact that our table was set and available and ready she could not seat us because we were an incomplete party. She then told us that the restaurant was very busy with several parties and there was no room at the bar and there was nowhere we could wait. Basically she told us we could not be accommodated in the 20 minutes that we needed and that we needed to leave. Fortunately, the Pendry is right across the street and we had a lovely time at the bar and dinner with our friends. We have stayed in Fell's Point several times and have dined at many restaurants here, but this newcomer has quickly become a favorite! Located in a historic building on Thames street, the design of this restaurant is inventive and just cool! Peek in and there is a bar and lounge area. Note the hummingbird mural and several seating configurations, including swinging wicker chairs. While walking through, don't miss the iron horse scale which was not allowed to be moved. Move along to a smaller, quieter bar in the back and turn right to enter one of the loveliest dining rooms I have encountered. It feels like you are sitting in a sophisticated garden. The menu features craft cocktails and Italian food with a twist. Two of us split some small plates/bites and one main including crab toast, stracciatella toast, Tuscan chicken lollipop, Burrata, and dayboat scallops (with risotto). Every item was so well seasoned and tasty that it's tough to pick a favorite. Our server was friendly. The food arrived as it was ready. It almost came too quickly. We were absolutely stuffed! Prima Dopo was highly recommended to me by friends, so I was very excited to try it. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Our waiter left us without refilling our drinks for over an hour and a half, completely forgot our appetizer, and was largely absent throughout the meal. What was even more disappointing was the lack of attention from management. Multiple managers helped run food to our table and walked by us several times, yet no one checked in despite the obvious issues. We felt completely ignored and undervalued throughout our entire dining experience. We even had to ask if there was any sort of discount or accommodation that could be made given the poor service, only to be bluntly told no. Even after expressing our disappointment, not a single manager came over to speak with us or apologize. Mistakes happen, but the complete lack of accountability or effort to make things right was awkward and uncomfortable. Disappointed because on the phone, it seemed like no fee would be present. I understand if restaurants charge money for outside food, but not letting people know upfront is really shady. Also, a 3% credit card fee, which I found odd. The positive is that the decor is lovely, and it has a view of the water. Overall it's a trendy Italian spot. Everything that you order is photo worthy but not much to write home about. The cocktails were a big hit for me, they do a great job of bold flavors and fun combinations. In The 'Loupe was a favorite of mine and had such a pleasant unique taste. I walked to the door, looking to spend money having dinner and cocktails here and the 'bouncer' wouldn't let me in cause of my sleeveless cashmere Vest. He said "you need sleeves to come in". He then proceeded to let 3 women who are not wearing sleeves and men in ripped cargo shorts and flip flops. I'm not against dress codes, but this was very upsetting; he then continued to pretend I was not there speaking to him as I asked to speak to someone about this dress code. So I took my business next door to Thames Street Oyster House. All I'm saying is, unless you have a particular reason to not let me in wearing what in New York would be alright in most places, be consistent across the board. So now I know I don't need to come here. Men, make sure you dress down for this place! read more

We were seated all the way in the back of the restaurant in their dining area with a few other groups. My biggest complaint here was actually the dining area itself - I'm not sure why but they had 2 giant TVs in the small dining area which were super distracting, loud, and in my opinion ruining the atmosphere of the restaurant. I understand having them in a bar, but for a nicer Italian restaurant it was a bit surprising. I did really enjoy the food/drinks here though! I started with a glass of white wine which was great. For the table, we split a stracciatella toast which was a nice combination of sweet and savory flavors. I wish the serving was a little bigger, but it was still nice to try a few bites. I really enjoyed my main dish which was their mafalde pasta which is served with a Bolognese-like sauce. It was super rich and meaty, with a great tomato base. Came here for lunch with some friends from out of town and we were blown away by it! The decor inside is unlike anything you've seen in a Fell's row home. The wallpaper is funky, there are swings in the entrance, the bathrooms have funny neon signs, I could go on and on. It's an Instagram worthy spot, for sure. Our server was super friendly and we had a great conversation about the best Italian food in Baltimore. He was really attentive and took care of us! The drinks were all delicious. The four of us tried seven drinks between us and each one was flavorful, packed a punch, and looked really beautiful. The food was incredible! For appetizers, we had the burrata plate with peaches and prosciutto and the fried calamari - we devoured them both. For mains, our friends shared the spicy salami pizza and they said it was really good, they ate it pretty quick! I had the Cluck Around and Find Out chicken sandwich and it was perfectly fried, the breading was crispy, and the chicken was super juicy. I could only eat half but I had the other half for dinner that night! We made reservations for here at 4 pm on a Saturday, although you probably don't need reservations for a really early dinner like that. We walked into the restaurant and were automatically transportation to a beautiful and trendy place that did not seem like we were in Baltimore! Their espresso martini has a housemade Mocha, not an espresso shot. It also had chocolate shavings and a beautiful layer of crema. Reminiscent of a tiramisu. I'm not a fan of coffee/espresso, but I really liked it. The honeydew crush was refreshing and very pretty. It was a little sweet, but I always lean more towards sweeter cocktails. For food, we got the crab toast, the bruschetta toast, the burrata, the calamari, and the sausage rigatoni. The food came out pretty quickly and is meant to be family style. We didn't love the crab toast and it was a little pricey. We really enjoyed the bruschetta toast and thought it was better then the crab toast. The burrata was fine, as was the calamari. We might have hyped up the calamari too much in our minds, and it didn't meet our expectations. We ordered the rigatoni after we got our appetizers. It was good, a little too al dente for me, but that's just a preference. The mushrooms and sausage were good. Service here was really nice. And quick. When we were looking at the menu and ready to order the rigatoni, another waiter/host came over and asked if we wanted to order anything else after he saw us looking at the menu again. I like that they were that observant. The food was fine, I'd honestly be back for cocktails and maybe that bruschetta toast. And the trendy vibes/atmosphere. One of Baltimore's best new spots! My friends and I had reservations for 5 people for 7 pm on a Saturday night. Our table was ready upon arrival. The time and care put into the design of the restaurant is clear - it is beautifully decorated with gorgeous accents, colors, and textures. Major props for the design here. There are 4 main areas of the restaurant. The front is the most casual, then a few booths and high top tables in the back. Then there is a separate room with just a bar, very swanky, and another formal dining room to the side. Not sure how you can designate where you'd like to reserve but we got a booth and it was perfect. Definitely take a walk around when you get in! We started off with cocktails and they came out notably fast - all were delish! I had the In the Loupe and I love spicy, but this was even too spicy for me! I know that peppers can change their heat level so not a big deal. I asked the waiter if something could be added and he said absolutely - gave me a few options, had it fixed, and brought it back right away. Very speedy again. And this time it was perfect for me! If you like spicy - that is a must get. I also got the Prima Fiz which everyone tried and loved. I tasted everyone else's cocktails too and really everything was good. We got some crab toasts, chicken lollipops, calamari and salad for the table. The crab toasts were actually full of crab - one person took some home because it was too much and we didn't finish! The chicken lollipops come with only 2 but they were DYNAMITE. A must get to split with one other person. Crispy chicken, great garlicy flavor in the mashed potatoes, and the honey and spice was great. Loved these, we were nearly licking the plate. For entrees, again, everything came out so quickly. Most people got the squid ink pasta - we all crushed it. The waiter actually took time to explain all the pastas - he was super knowledgeable. The squid ink pasta was great, I personally prefer a more shell like pasta than a longer noodle here, but that's just my individual preference. It was still bangin. My partner got the carbonara which he loved. Guys this is what Baltimore dining is all about! Overall, everything was incredible, I am so impressed. Being pregnant, I really appreciated the mocktail options on the drink menu and my drink was delicious, not overly sweet. Our table ordered two appetizers to start - the chicken lollipops and meatballs. The meatballs were good but not amazing. The chicken lollipops were really good though - nice and crispy and the mashed potatoes were great. For my entree I got the scallop risotto, which was just okay. Scallops were cooked perfectly but the risotto was very heavy with raw onion which I don't care for and it wasn't listed on the menu (if it had, I would've chosen something else).
