Went a here on a whim because we were hungry after the monument lighting. Come to find out they have a comedy open mic nights durning the week. That made the environment interesting to say to the least. Plenty of seating for it to be a bar which was refreshing for Baltimore. Service was so so. It took quite a bit to get the bartender's attention but they were doing a lot so I get it. Food was good. The wings had great flavor but a few of my wings were not wings. They were just chicken balls with bones. Seeing those kind of turned me off and I didn't want eat anymore. So essentially, I left 4 wings on the plate because of how they looked. We also ordered crab dip. That was fantastic! The pita bread they used was so good! Warm with a slight crisp to it. Overall it was a bar, so I wasn't expecting much. This is a cute spot. I think when I go again, my focus would be more on drinks and music rather than including food. The night that I went, the manager shared that more than five people had called out, so I'm trying not to hold the service against them. It was clear everyone was working really hard and trying their best. The food took a really long time to come out and unfortunately, it wasn't the best. The pasta was super spicy, which I was not prepared for, but it was enjoyable. The chocolate cake was served cold, and as a result tasted a little gritty. The drinks were nice. The crab dip was all right, but did not come with enough bread to eat it. And when you asked for more you had to pay an additional fee. This place is beautiful. Like, old world, old money, crown molding, wooden paneling, gold filigreed wall sconces, wallpaper that cost more than my car, fancy. It's also huge, with 3 floors and about 4 different bars/spaces with different vibes that house different events. I can't speak to the food here, but it is a great place to drink a glass of wine, listen to music, or catch a comedy show. It also has reasonably priced mocktails, if that's your thing. read more

I've really tried to give this place grace, but I can't give it any more of my business. Of my several visits, the only consistently positive experience I've had is Jasmine's service. Even during busy times I've been where she was the only server working, she's always really pleasant and never made me feel rushed. This review is about tonight's experience. After picking up my order (by foot), I get home and see that someone named Maurice called to let me know only half my order was given to me (I believe he's the manager). I asked if he could just credit that portion of my order, and he said I'd have to do it through the app (there's not an option to do so). There was no offer to have the order delivered to me so I just walked back to pick it up. He did apologize for the inconvenience when he handed me the bag, and said he put a $10 card in the bag. When I got home and open up the food (dinner-sized scallops entree), they gave me the smallest scallops I'd ever seen, they were not pan-seared (or under-seared), were rubbery and had NO flavor. This was not worth the price, the inconvenience of walking a half-mile back to the restaurant for, and def not worth the $10 card that I'd have to spend $30 to unlock on an order that automatically includes gratuity. I hope if this happens to a patron in the future, they will consider having the order delivered, and at least throw in a complimentary appetizer or dessert if it's too much of a hassle to credit them. I had high hopes for the Manor, especially because they have happy hour 5-8pm on Wednesday - Saturday. Ambience was very nice and upscale. I loved the vintage look and the music playing was a vibe. We were a large party and they sat us in the back. I would say it was better suited for a party no larger than 10 ppl because we had 13 and 3 people had to squeeze around the bar table next to the table and barely had space. Food was a hit or miss and service was very slow. Some food came out cold, some overcooked, and some orders didn't come out until we were trying to pay the bill. The Brussel sprouts were great. The chicken caesar wrap was good but it needed more caesar dressing. My friend had ordered the chargrilled oysters and they came out dry and overcooked. I ordered fried cauliflower bites and they were supposed to come with a house sauce. They forgot my sauce and I had to wait for them to bring my sauce only for them to bring cocktail sauce. After trying to track down our server with no luck, I find her behind the bar and inform her I got the wrong sauce. The other server/bartender next to her says (all loud and wrong), "well you got shrimp and that's the sauce it comes with!" I politely replied, "No, I actually ordered fried cauliflower bites." She quickly apologized and goes get the sauce and brings it back to the table. The house sauce was just marinara sauce and it did not to help the lukewarm and soggy cauliflower bites. The drinks were also inconsistent. I first tried the watermelon margarita and didn't care for the taste. The watermelon syrup tasted like medicine. I then opted for a classic margarita. The first one was great but the second one was very watered down. Now back to the slow service. I believe the issue was the weren't staffed to handle a large group. The place wasn't really that busy. The server and food runner kept blaming the kitchen staff saying it was a language barrier and that's why the food was slow to come out. We also felt rushed because our server claimed it was another large group after ours. We were trying so hard to respect the next party's reservation time but it was nearly impossible because of the food and service being so delayed. By the time we left, it was 30 mins after the other group was due and they never showed. The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 2 was because they comped us with a round of tequila shots. My girlfriend and I decided to check out the brunch here. Our server was Montez who informed us that he was the only server and asked us to bear with him which we really appreciated. Our order was taken once Montez was able to make his way back. We also were told that the bartender called out which left a deficit in their coverage but I loved how everyone shared in making sure they helped in anyway they could. Our food came out in a reasonable time. I got scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, turkey bacon, and glazed apples. My girlfriend got scrambled egg whites, regular bacon, and pancakes. We also got a bottle of Prosecco for the table. The food was came out hot and prepared to our liking. It was several people celebrating birthdays so the energy was nice and the DJ was definitely on point! There was also an option to purchase hookah if that's your thing. The GM came over and introduced himself and we were checked on often between our server and the young lady that was hosting. We really appreciated the transparency on the staff coverage which makes all the difference. There is parking lot right behind the establishment that requires payment. A gorgeous historic lounge with a few floors and outside seating. I was invited to support my friend as she was getting her bartending license and her first test was working at the bar here. The staff was kind providing support to the bartending students and while servicing customers. The live DJ was sweet too. I wish I got to hang around a bit longer, but we definitely agreed to come back again to enjoy this space at its full potential. Also, if you get to come here get the chicken wings. read more

This was a pretty terrible experience. We went on a Wednesday night. Around 7pm. We ordered our drinks and didn't get them until 15 mins after our meals came. We got our meals 40 mins after ordering them. I ordered the 1/2 pound of shrimp off of the happy hour menu for $6. It had 7 small shrimp in total and half of a white onion. 1/2 pound of small shrimp is at least 20-35 shrimp and for large it is 12-15 Shrimp. They under-portioned my meal entirely. The crab egg rolls were completely over seasoned. The shrimp & grits looked as if it had been sitting for a while before hitting our table. The bartender's drink service was very slow and the drinks were not good at all. As for ambiance, the setting of the restaurant is nice but the music was awful. When we first walked in there was a variety of music playing softly. About 10 mins into being there they turned the music all the way up and we could t hear ourselves talking. It wasn't good music at all. It was like terrible club music. We sat in the dining room. It seemed they paid most of their attention to the bar area. While the dining room was left hanging. Our server was very nice and did his best. That was the best part of this experience. Overall I would not eat here again. It was probably the worst dining experience I've had in a while. Out server did say service is better on other nights of the week like Saturday and Thursdays, but this is not an excuse. It was a party and it's wild because this place is built like a Victorian home inside and it's literally like a big house with three floors pretty cool wasn't expecting thatthe service was good except they were so many people. It was hard for the bartenders to be tentative, but I don't blame them and they were pleasant enough. I would definitely come back on a Sunday or would be ideal to go back to that party shout out to certified fly guy. The food was pretty solid. I've been to The Manor several times and I'm always amazed by how GIGANTIC it is in there. The name for the space is spot on! I've not eaten here yet, so that's definitely something I'm interested in doing at some point. I usually grab a beer and chill at one of the bars. I did that this past Saturday, 8/24. I was there for a Vegan Day Party, but that was lame. I had a Heavy Seas Tropicanon at the main 2nd floor bar, and a lovely bartender from Canada kept me company. It was very nice. Came here on my birthday 2/18 and the drag show was phenomenal & place is gorgeous. In the words of Beyoncé, "10 10 10s across the board" for the performers. The reason why I had to give it an overall score of 3 stars is because of how unorganized the seating was. I bought a total of 9 tickets and my entire party had to sit separately. Granted we were all in the same row but it was in pairs and luckily the co-owner was able to add me a table to seat 4. Another young lady after me had 12 tickets so I could only imagine the stress she went through with that. There was a line prior to 11am when they open and there is only street parking and nearby parking lots so must arrive early. Once seated and situated, there is a specific drag brunch menu that is no where available online. I called once a week for about a month of planning my bday to ask what's on the menu because I have tree nut & peanut allergies. Each person who answered could never provide me that info and kept telling me to call back. I forgot to snap a pic of the menu but it consisted of pick 3 items for $25. Choices were chicken & waffle, French Toast, biscuits & gravy OR pancakes for selection #1. Selections 2 and 3 were sides of bacon, sausage, eggs or potatoes. One glass of orange juice or cranberry juice was $4. The shocker though was 1 glass of mimosa was $20 while bottomless was $25. Several of us got bottomless and it was 75% orange juice. The food was actually good for majority of us but I was disappointed in the mimosas and it took forever to get a refill. My girlfriends at another table ordered Pineapple Mimosa and they said it tasted like straight pineapple juice. They do not give you salt and pepper at the table, my mom had to ask for it. The pepper mill was the size of a hookah once brought over and used only by the waitress. During the show, it was a total of 5 performers and it went on til 3pm. I had never been to a drag brunch but I've been to a drag show so this was one of the best shows I've seen. Evon Dior Michelle was an excellent host, fantastic performer and gorgeous! Sapphire stole the whole show, we loved her! The entertainment part of my birthday here was 5 stars, management just has to really get organized when it comes to seating. Sadly we didn't enjoy the extremely elevated noise from patrons and staff, the physical altercation that was thankfully ended before beginning. Way too much action for me on a workday evening. We did receive apologies but I was already shook by then. This was my first time at the Manor. I met three of my girlfriends here for a Sunday Brunch event. They started off a little late for the event. They were very busy. They had all the tables full. They were pretty short on the wait staff, so it's understandable. They do offer parking around the back of the manor. The brunch was held on the first floor. They also have a second floor level that was not open to the public at the time. They do have a unisex restroom, which was clean. Another plus. The wait staff and everyone were so nice in accommodating our group. We all loved the show and brunch. I had the Manor Breakfast Special with a Mimosa, which was also delicious. The show was very entertaining. I would love to return. Everyone said they had a really good time. So we will be back. read more

Starting off our waitress was super sweet and friendly I absolutely loved her and don't blame her for any of this, this restaurant has some of the worst food ever, (clearly based in their prices) not only because it's clearly frozen and just heated up, but I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with steak, the steak was absolutely disgusting there was so much fatty on the meat you can barely chew it, and on top of the my pasta REAKED of seafood, MIND YOU I NEVER ORDERED SEAFOOD WITH MY DISH! Ya'll. The ambiance in here is amazing! You might be familiar with this historic building as it once housed The Elephant. It's gotten a bit of a facelift since then with moody, colorful lighting, a bumping sound system throughout, and a few other updates. But much of the building remains the same including original Tiffany light fixtures, Tiffany glass, and the gorgeous stained glass dome you can see above the spiraling, wooden staircase. If you love historic buildings, you will be in heaven. I haven't had a chance to try anything from the food menu here but I did come by for a quick drink during a girl's night. I got a dirty martini and my friend got a tequila and soda. We were in a bit of a rush, otherwise we would've stayed a bit longer to explore since this place is three stories with several different rooms with different themes. They do a drag brunch on Sundays and karaoke on Wednesdays. After hours, this place is known for their strong drinks and immaculate vibes. It's Pride Month and my cousin and I wanted to do something fun to celebrate so we decided to go to the Manor for their drag brunch. Tickets for the event must be purchased in advance and tickets for the entire party must be purchased by one person. Your ticket purchase is considered your reservation so the number of tickets purchased let's the staff know how many people are in your party. Parking was pretty easy. There is a paid lot behind the building which is $7 for the whole day on weekends. We arrived pretty early and were in front of the building right at 11:00. However, we had to wait outside for at least 15 to 20 minutes before the doors opened to let us inside. Once inside, I gave my name and we were directed to a table in the bar area. I was disappointed in this because I got there early hoping that we would get good seats. I saw a couple other empty tables that were in the main dining room and one of those tables remained empty the entire time we were there. If you get seated in the bar area, you won't get the best view of the show. I ended up ordering the bottomless mimosas and the chicken and waffles. My cousin asked if you could change the flavor of your mimosa with each drink and the bartender said yes. However, she brought the mimosas out in carafes. The carafe was full to the brim so my cousin asked the bartender if she could pour her drink for her so that she doesn't spill it. The bartender says, "oh you'll be alright" and walks back over to the bar to continue making drinks for other people. Eventually, she came back over and poured our first drink for us so we could avoid creating a mess. Needless to say, the mimosas were weak! I drank damn near the whole carafe and didn't feel the slightest of a buzz. I'm a lightweight when it comes to alcohol. Usually after two or three mimosas, I'm feeling some type of way. Not here. On the other hand, my food was pretty tasty. I just wish the portions were a little bigger. I saw pictures of other people's food from months ago and it definitely appears they scaled down on the size of the waffle. The drag performers did an excellent job and the show was a lot of fun. I'm really torn with this place. I really enjoyed the experience but wish I had better seating especially since I was there early. Also, the service was not the greatest. After we received our food, the bartender didn't come to check on us at all to see if we needed anything else or to clear our dishes off the table. I really think that The Manor only deserved two stars, but the food was super tasty and the show was awesome, so I wanted to give them a bit of grace. The possibilities for this venue to be great are there, but management is lacking. Hopefully this review will help them make improvements. My experience here last Sunday was very lackluster. I purchased my ticket online, to celebrated my friends' birthday. A few of my other friends attended the Drag Brunch months before and really enjoyed it, so I was looking forward to a good time. My friends and I arrived around 1030am, as the venue is first come, first serve and with a party of 11, we wanted to ensure we sat together. The venue was set to open at 11am, but it didn't open until at least 15 minutes after. When we entered the venue, I was taken aback by how gorgeous the establishment was. Baltimore truly has some of the best, hidden structures! The venue was fairly clean, but we noticed open napkins and straws under our table. Luckily, the tables were cleaned. Unfortunately, the cups on our table were not so clean., so I ended up sending mine back. Cleanliness is important, but of course it is even more critical during Covid! My party was one of the first to be seated but one of the last to be served. Our waitress said that she was not experienced at serving, so why they would give her a large table of 11 guests is beyond me. We literally had her running rampant trying to fulfill the orders for our table. For brunch, I ordered goat cheese croquettes and the chicken and waffles. I also had the bottomless Rose. The food, once we got it, was very good. The Rose I was served was Andre, then later a bottle of Wycliff. Both of two of the most cheapest champagnes on earth. Not sure how the can justify charging $25 for bottomless drinks only to give you a bottle that's less than 5 bucks. Now, to the Drag Queens!! These ladies put on an awesome show! This was my first and I was thoroughly entertained! The show honestly made up for the horrible customer service we received! If I could give 3.5 stars, I would probably do that. The space is beautiful and the food was tasty! However, as others have said, the service was incredibly slow, despite there only being 2 other tables with people. It took over 15 minutes just for someone to come fill my water glass. My friend and I split one of the specials - baked brie with cherry jam, honey, and crostini. It was delicious! The entrees were all fairly pricey so I opted for the Wild Mushroom and Basil flatbread, which was pretty good. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, but based on the service and high prices proportionate to the quality of the food, I'm not sure if I'll be back. read more

The manor is such a beautiful location. When you walk in you are graced with knowing you are in a historic building. I would say they could update the chairs that they are uso g for dining but otherwise it's so beautiful. They have chandeliers in several places and man they are beautiful as well. I went here during a specialty party night called Spice world. It was a drag party. I was disappointed because they only had about a 15 minute routine between two groups which was not explained. I was told by one person it would be an hour experience at 12 but that unfortunately didn't happen. It was still very fun to see the two groups that were out there. Chanel was my favorite!!! Such a sweet personality! The employees seem very lovely and helpful when o had questions. Even the bar on the main floor the lady that was bartending was so sweet! The drinks were pretty good. The prices are on average $16 a drink. I wasn't able to enjoy any food as the kitchen was closed, but I heard the food is pretty decent. I will definitely be back hopefully on a Sunday to attend the drag brunch. All in all it was a lovely space, and hope to get to enjoy other events taken place here. read more

I attended the weekly drag brunch on Sunday , the show and the queens are amazing but the food and the staff need a major overhaul. The menu is limited, the food is pre made and was served cold, overcooked and not appetizing at all. I recommend you eat before attending the drag brunch. The food is horrible and the service was extremely slow and the place wasn't even packed. I urge this place to do better and to really become a great plus for people to enjoy. TLDR: Ambiance 5 stars Service 5 stars Food 4 stars (scallops and tortellini 5 stars!!! Lamb lollipop 1 star) The interior space is very spacious and elegant with a lot of fine detailing in the walls, the chandeliers, and even the bathroom. The service is also excellent--we were greeted promptly at the door without a reservation and seated in an area to our liking. Throughout our dinner, the chef and the waitress would regularly check in on us to make sure that our dining experience was going to our liking. As for the food, our favorite dish by far were the scallops. They were so soft and had, an amazing texture that I've never had in a scallop before, and they were so flavorful. I was very sad when we finished the third and last scallop. our second favorite dish of the evening was the duck confit tortellini. The flavors and the textures of this dish were excellent, and the touches of sweet and sour notes of the cranberries and orange zest blended really well with the fall homeyness of the butternut squash and pumpkin seeds. Both of these dishes were very reasonably priced at under $10 each. Unfortunately, the other three dishes that we ordered that evening were not as impressive. The fall flat bread was tasty, but nothing to write home about and in my opinion, not worth the $16 price tag. The Deconstructed stuffed Portabella was very interesting on the menu, but unfortunately didn't taste very good when we got it because it was quite dry and flavorless. Lastly, the lamb lollipops were my least favorite dish because the crust on the outside was extremely bitter and the meat of the lamb itself tasted and smelled like it had gone bad, to the point where I could not finish my lamb lollipop. However, I give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt that it might have just been my lamb lollipop that was defective because my friends portion was satisfactory to her. Overall, this restaurant has, a really fine extravagant interior with a great service staff. They have a couple dishes that are spectacular and worth revisiting the restaurant, but they also have a few dishes that just missed the mark that evening. read more

We came to the Manor with friends on the last day of restaurant week. The space is very cool - each room is slightly different and it feels very historic and Mt. Vernon-y. The service was definitely slow like so many have mentioned, but our waiter was very nice and apologized several times, plus we were busy talking so it didn't bother us that much. We all got the crab dip for our first course which was tasty, but came with stale chips. We asked for bread instead, but got more stale chips. Womp. My next course was the short rib which was pretty good especially on a cold winter night. For dessert we were disappointed to learn the raspberry donut cheesecake wasn't an option anymore (and it sounds like it hadn't been in a while which was weird because restaurant week is only 10 days). Instead I had ice cream for dessert, which is kind of boring and not really worth it for the price. Overall, it was decent but I'm not in a hurry to return. read more

I went to the drag brunch back in May 2021, and I thought the drag brunch was exceptionally fun and one of the best ones that I had ever been to. Quick FYI, the hostess has $1 bills that you can exchange if you have bigger bills. The queens were amazing and really turnt it outtt, like they were really giving. I hope that the other people who couldn't get a good view of the drag show will be able to go again at some point and witness how fun of a show it is with a better view. The venue itself was very pretty as well! I loved the contrast between the elegant, expensive looking venue with all of the queens dancing and lip syncing with money flying flying around! Such a fun comb! The bottomless mimosas were flowing, the dollar bills were flying, and the queens were serving. The staff were nice and also having a great time watching the show, which I really enjoyed witnessing! Disclaimer: I wasn't thrilled to have to pay for a ticket for the drag show, but after seeing it, I would do it again in a heartbeat! Like I said, the queens REALLY turned it for me! Came here with a friend before the Washington Monument lighting! I had been looking forward to trying this place out and they were offering a complementary bottle of champagne with dinner reservation and entree order for the occasion. The space is really beautiful and fun! I ordered a French 75 and my friend and I split the butternut squash salad, pumpkin ravioli, and the Buffalo chicken flatbread. I thought that the food was decent and the presentation was good. My biggest qualm is that the quality of food does not match the price. I enjoyed my meal but it was overpriced. I would return here maybe for brunch or just post dinner for drinks because this spot feels pretty cool! read more

The comedy show was entertaining but the service was horrible starting with trying to order just a glass of Chardonnay that took 20 minutes when I received the wine in a dirty glass then replaced it with another glass of wine and the second dirty glass ‍ the irony of it all i cleaned the glass myself so i could drink it but guess what.....my dirty wine cost me $15.25 then I come into the bathroom that was nasty & dirty. The toilet is broken when you flush it the water leaks all over the floor. They got two stars just because of the show. The rest of it was shitty. Will never come again. 2/27/2025 7:30show Thank God the show was free!!!! but what kills me I was coming from Fogo at the inner harbor I had two drinks, shrimp and lobster tacos and sweet Thai chili wings with aïoli dressing with a complementary shot of tequila and the cost for that ticket was $31.04 a damn shame has nothing to do with the money. Queens were AMAZING! Service was the worst service I've ever had. Didn't even get water or anything to drink until an hour and a half of being there. We ordered mimosas and got unopened bottle of champagne with no orange juice. Took another 30 min for the juice. Ordered another round when we got the first one and never got it (another hour and a half later) and refused to comp us for even one bottle. $300 for 5 UNOPENED bottles of champagne with no orange juice. read more

This place had been on my restaurant bucket list for awhile. The restaurant is beautiful and located in Mount Vernon. You will find a trendy hipster vibe here, along with an adorable bartender named Brent and very friendly servers. My party of four began with cocktails and the Mediterranean Board. It was delicious and plenty to share around the table. The Conservatory cocktail was very tasty! Unfortunately, they were out of several liquors needed to make the other cocktails on the menu. We were told it was because the drag brunch earlier in the day literally wiped out all of their alcohol for the weekend (what were they to do tomorrow for Sunday drag brunch)?? I enjoyed the lamb lollipops (pistachio crusted! Oh My!), the duck confit tortellini (yummers!!), and the gouda mac and cheese. These tapas are very reasonably priced and plenty for building a meal. Our service could have been a bit better (he asked us if we were in a hurry when he introduced himself - and I should have said yes!). This was a three-hour event, but it was with good friends, with delicious food, tasty cocktails made by Brent, and in a beautiful historic building. My mom and I came for the drag brunch on a Sunday. we showed up at 10:50, and we were seated immediately when doors opened. Unfortunately, we were seated in the bar area even though there was an open two seater in the main room that remained open the entire show. I wish they were better at seating, as we had to miss most of the show because we couldn't see it. What we did see though- Evon Dior is an AMAZING host! She touched every room for a good amount of time, and I really appreciated that she didn't leave us in the back hanging. We had so much fun, and $25 for the show is a steal. I had to give 4 stars because of the poor seating as well as the very average food. It's nothing to write home about, but it is cheap, so I can't complain too much. read more
