My mom and I came for the drag brunch on a Sunday. we showed up at 10:50, and we were seated immediately when doors opened. Unfortunately, we were seated in the bar area even though there was an open two seater in the main room that remained open the entire show. I wish they were better at seating, as we had to miss most of the show because we couldn't see it. What we did see though- Evon Dior is an AMAZING host! She touched every room for a good amount of time, and I really appreciated that she didn't leave us in the back hanging. We had so much fun, and $25 for the show is a steal. I had to give 4 stars because of the poor seating as well as the very average food. It's nothing to write home about, but it is cheap, so I can't complain too much. read more

By far the best drag show/brunch I've been too. The host Brooklyn Heights was amazing as well as the other performers. Not only did the Queens keep us entertained but also the audience. The food was ok. We had the chicken and waffles and the biscuit and gravy (not a fan of the biscuit and gravy). Took awhile to get our drinks. Asked for a drink menu but never got one. I would defiantly go back. Get your tickets on Eventbrite. read more

I had high hopes for this place after all the local foodies hyping it up...It's a beautiful space with great energy! Pros: Beautiful space, friendly servers, menu is complex but not overwhelming Cons: It was freezing inside when we visited, only 1 server was working..so everything took forever, food was mediocre (steak and burger were over cooked) *Didnt complain bc most places are like this due to worker shortages, it was just annoying for how much I paid and what I got. I love the space and I hear that the brunch is better, so I'll def check it out! read more

Really good food and cannot wait to go back. Cocktails were really good and the price point was comparable considering the area. Once we finished eating, we went upstairs and found cute spots for selfie and photos. We also stumbled upon the drag show which took place on the opposite side of the bar. I enjoyed the rustic Caesar salad and this wild mushroom pizza. This pizza was like none other! It has wild mushrooms, basil pesto ricotta, pepperoni, arugula, cheese blend, and spicy honey! I mean what a fun time in your mouth! I sipped on the Oaxaca old fashion made with Mezcal tequila. I may order this pizza for dinner tonight! read more

This place has so much potential, but....We didn't have a real waitress, the hostess was filling in while the waitress was otherwise occupied. She was well intentioned but it just wasn't the level of service you'd expect for the price of the food. The food too had potential based on the description, but it was a hit and a miss. The stuffed mushrooms were painfully salty, the Brussel sprouts were overly sweet, the pasta that came with the chicken Marsala was drowning in a lumpy, gray sauce, and the mussels had no seasoning and came out smelling fishy. The best part of meal was the complimentary bread. The vibe was a bit weird too...you're sitting in this beautiful space filled with character but the music from the upstairs lounge is drowning out the restaurant's music. On a positive note, the decor is lovely and it is close to good parking. read more

This literally hurts my heart because my expectations were so high and I was super excited. Booked the drag brunch for me and my girls to celebrate the besties birthday. First the drag shows energy was very exciting, the MC (Brooklyn Heights) kept everyone engaged regardless of where you were seated. Our seats were down the stairs by the front window so unless we stood on the stairs we couldn't see anything. I feel this restaurant while gorgeous isn't really a good fit for a show like this. The drinks were delicious, perfect balance of champagne and OJ. Kudos to our waitress who keep them flowing. The downside of our experience was the mediocre food, I follow a pretty well know food blogger on social media and based upon his reviews and pictures I picked this place for our celebration. I could understand if the actual plate arrangement was different or if the blogger used a picture filter but it was even worst than that. I paid $16 for a few slices of cold bread and soggy bananas. I did ask my waitress about this but she stated there was a typo in the menu and the french toast isn't stuffed. Everyone else got the chicken and waffles which too came with some complaints. Waffles was hard, chicken over fried and had to wait forever to get extra syrup. Unfortunately this restaurant just hit the mark for us and we wouldn't recommend or make this a regular. @just2blkgirlseating read more

So we all had high hopes for this storied location. And indeed if this review was only about ambience then this would be 5 stars. Unfortunately other factors must enter into this assessment. I suppose the most important quality of a business is it's honesty. Here, on this point, The Manor fails. I won't go into detail other than to point out that the drink prices on the menu are anywhere from 1-3 dollars less than you will be charged. Already heady at 6 dollars on the printed menu handed to all customers Corona Extra bucks up to $8 by the time you pay your tab. But wait, why stop there - The Manor kindly adds another 9% to even those prices . That goes for all cocktails , beers and wines regardless of whether they are bottled , draft or by the glass. I mean why should the owners of Manor pay the sale tax out of their pockets when they can pass it onto you? On a recent visit with multiple tabs the difference between the menu price on the dinks that had prices that were also ordered by me came to $30 PLUS, thank you, the sales tax of 9%. I know of no other restaurant that adds the liquor sales tax to the listed price of a drink listed on the menu and ordered at the bar. If this was carry out for packaged goods I could see why. But its not. These are poured drinks served on site consumed on site. TO add insult to injury there is no warning that the MD liquor tax is added to the cost of the listed drink prices. No surprise there as the prices haven't been updated since they opened so why bother with full disclosure at all? One would think this is the end of this review. Sadly it is not. The service was not prompt and this might be due to the fact that they needed more bartenders and certainly more wait staff. The ones serving us looked haggard and exhausted. No smiles to be seen there. The menus are enticing to be sure; and if a 4 oz., 39 dollar steakette is to your liking you are in the right place. I have read the other reviews of the food and the ringing complaint of small portions is constant. Even at Prime Rib one can expect something for $40, your not going to leave hungry. Now I understand that a great deal of capital has flowed into the Manor to make it beautiful and inviting. And there it succeeds; and if you are loaded with cash and feel like spending it this is the perfect place to throw it around with abandon. ITs not New York but just close you eyes when you see the bill and perhaps you will be transported there. read more

Love the aesthetics but the food didn't match up to their looks. My friend and I had their shrimp and grits, steak, bread pudding with vanilla ice cream, and crème brûlée. Everything was either dry or lacked flavor. The bread pudding was the biggest disappointment, it was 3-4 small slices of dry bread that was hard to tear apart and chew. Felt like it was sitting out all day and was heated up in a microwave. The ice cream helped a little. I would go back for their brunch to give it another chance. read more

Amazing dinner! Great drinks. Prices extremely reasonable. I'm super impressed! Support this place Baltimore.

We purchased tickets for two people weeks in advance for The Manor Drag Brunch which we have attended several times. This time when we arrived at 11am for a 12pm brunch. We were seated at the bar, which had zero visibility of the drag show. If I wanted to sit at a bar I would have gone somewhere else. I came to this brunch to see my favorite drag queens perform and I was denied that opportunity even though I paid. What added insult to injury was the fact that other people came in after us and were seated at tables because they had more people in their party, and there party was a group of gay men or one really obese man who required a two and was told he could pay for table later. Over all. Very disappointing experience to the tune of NEVER returning again...Sorry Drag queens! read more

When I walked up the steps, I knew what to expect with atmosphere. However the food was a different story. They totally ishkabibled the food (it was good). If you are looking for something totally different but the same. For some, you might need a Food Networ translator. For everyone else, you have been eating at far too many boochie spots. Eat, drink and be merry but bring your Black Card because they DON'T SEPARATE checks. So large parties beware!!! (-*). read more

Paige, our waitress was amazing. She was friendly and it was like visiting an old friend. The drinks were good (although when Terry asked for a "crown royal with a splash a coke" he got way more than a splash). I had the crab bruschetta. It was ok. Bread was very soggy. The short ribs were delicious but they came up short. A lot of fat on the plate. I brought it to the waitress's attention to let the chef know I didn't appreciate the fatty piece of meat (fat with meat Vs meat with fat). No consideration was given to the check about this. If you get half meat you should pay half price. That's ok. I would come back for drinks or the drag show. Oh and the bread pudding was delicious. Don't sit by the front window on a cold night. Vents all across the floor make you think you will be warm but the bar was full so it was hot back there so we (two measly customers) were left to "chill". Again, I would return. read more

My husband and I went to dinner on the opening weekend of the Manor and had a wonderful time! The ambiance is so chic and beautiful, and we really enjoyed the antique chandeliers and style! We had the mussles to start (delicious broth) and the duck and the pork shank as entrees. Both were delicious, but the real standout was the pork shank! Melted off the bone! We also checked out the upstairs ultra lounge, which was really cool and had multiple rooms to hang out. I highly recommend The Manor for a romantic dinner, a dinner with family or friends, and nightlife! We will be back soon for drag brunch!!! Can't wait! read more

I went for brunch and drag yesterday - it was hella fun but I do agree with the comments that detail sitting in the bar being annoying - I didn't get to see most of the performances but I will say the bartender was lots of fun and the MC hung out in the back and it was definitely a good time. It's a lot of floor for a performer collecting money and dancing to work - perhaps they do a group number that has drag queens/kings dancing all over the venue so that folks feel like they are getting their value out of the show. Food was good and well presented. read more

Bartender Adam is awesome. The manager Brian is horrible. We ordered the duck and got 1/2 the portion. His "solution" was to give our guest a simple salad. This restaurant won't be open for very long. Customer service is a hot mess. Brian seemed to be too focused on getting a hot date from the bar, rather than pay attention to the business loss and money walking out the door. read more

I came to the drag brunch here while visiting my best friend in Baltimore. The drag brunch was AMAZING and I definitely recommend it. Drag performance aside, I really liked this place. It's beautiful and the waitstaff was amazing. We had the goat cheese balls, beet salad, and chicken & waffles with unlimited mimosas for brunch. Everything was delicious with the exception of the waffle. It had a strange aftertaste. Otherwise, great experience and would definitely recommend! read more

This was the worst restaurant I have been to in years. I wish there was an option for zero stars. I loved this place before new owners took over. We arrived to learn that there was only one other table in the entire restaurant occupied on a Saturday night. We ordered drinks. I received a $12 "Chardonnay" in a champagne flute. Not only was it a half glass at best, it was definitely not what I ordered off the menu. It was a low quality, extremely sweet desert wine. The food was worse. I was skeptical and ordered a brick oven pizza. I received a half cooked mess that did not match the description on the menu. They forgot to add marinara sauce and served raw dough and cheese. My daughter's pizza was also lacking half the ingredients. She ordered a gluten-free crust, and it seems they heated up a frozen pizza and tried to pass it off as a heirloom and burrata wood fired Pizza. My husband got a burger, which was edible, but cold. Our waitress has clearly never served before. You have to pay online and an 18% tip is already included. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was to work with the staff at The Manor. They helped us plan a dinner and bourbon tasting for 42 people, and everything went off without a hitch. The food was perfect, the drinks were awesome, and the service was helpful and attentive (despite our size). I would totally recommend them for any event. read more

Honestly not much of a show. I went for the drag brunch and was very disappointed. The food is THE WORST and I don't say that lightly. I was so excited for the drag show given the great reviews but they just walked around or did a couple moves here and there and just kept coming around and collecting more cash. There are much better drag shows. Would not go again. read more

I was apart of a private party that booked the restaurant. When we arrived staff weren't accommodating because management hadn't properly handled the reservation or staffing. I can understand why the staff weren't happy initially. They weren't the problem. The food was very late in coming out, and for the very small portions, the value wasn't adequate. They charged $55 for like 5 very small wings, a very basic Caesar salad, and a nicely battered chicken patty over 2 burnt Brussel sprouts cut in half plus tax and an automatic 20% gratuity. We actually got overcharged at my specific table that sat 3 and they kept trying to charge us for 4 people, took very long to get us our check after 5 repeated attempts, then didn't properly remove all the associated fees from the 4th person being removed. We just paid and left because it was already very late. Again the staff did the best they could all things being considered having been blindsided by an after hours dinner party they didn't know about. The bartender poured great drinks, and I kept hearing them encourage each other to remain professional and not let their tiredness show. Don't blame the staff, blame the manager. Lastly, maybe it was due to the overall experience, but know your portions will be small for the price, people who ordered the short rib received overly cooked meat, the ravioli meal had only 4 small over cooked raviolis, the lemon pistachio chicken breast meal had a decent size chicken patty but again just had 2 Brussels cut in half and everyone's Brussels were burnt. We may have had a better experience had the staff been prepared and not in their feelings. I would rate this place a 1 but the staff deserve some appreciation. read more

I booked a table for 10 gay men who were so excited to attend Sunday drag brunch and I don't think we could have been more disappointed. We followed the instructions (as all good gays do), and arrived at 10:55 a.m. We were kept standing on the sidewalk until 11:45 a.m. Once inside we waited 30-minutes until someone took our drink order and another 30-minutes for drinks to be served. Our food order wasn't taken until 12:30 and our food didn't arrive until 1:30. The server (Page) was excellent. The drag performers were terrific. The management of the restaurant was as poor as any I have experienced. They announced that there were over 100 people attending but only 3 servers and 1 bartender. Why sell-out if the staff is so limited? It was interesting that almost everyone in the place raised their hand to say that they were there for the first time. I would guess that no one goes back after the experience we had. AND, including the cover, drink, food, tips to the queens and tips to the servers, each of us easily spent $100 for a good show, an incredibly long wait time, and flavorless food. We will definitely find another way to support the drag community. read more

We just had the most delicious and fun dinner celebrating my friend's birthday! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the food was delicious and the service was impeccable! We had a party of 10 and ordered pretty much all the apps to share. Everything came out out timely, presented nicely and tasted amazing! We had the best time; the staff is warm, friendly and go above and beyond to make your experience memorable and enjoyable. Our waiter Mikael(spelling?) was on top of things, very patient and super nice! Thank you for taking care of our party! We will be back! read more

Bad, sadly it was Valentine's Day. We sat at 5:30 and didn't leave until after 8:30p. This was because we didn't get our meals until 90 mins after sitting, only to be given 25% of what we ordered. Once we made our waiter aware of me getting the wrong order and my wife missing things from hers, that's where the wait got longer(additional 1 hr). What's crazy is that we were one of the first people to get their meals. Some groups were waiting for 2hrs. Unfortunately we won't go back, coming from nyc I thought this would be a happy medium; good decor, ambitious menu... but it fell short of the mark. Our waiter, when we saw him, was great and very kind. But I think he knew the whole restaurant was upset and overwhelmed. read more

Our waiter/bartender, Adam was very attentive and fun. The ambiance of the restaurant was amazing. Unfortunately, the service, or lack there of from the manager, Brian was not to up to par. I ordered the Hickory Smoked Duck as my entree. The presentation was great, but the portion was not. The entree came out with a petite-sized breast and a few spears of asparagus, for $28. When I commented on the size of the entree to Adam, he told me that he would get the manager and he was positive that I could be given more. When Brian came over, he was somewhat not very apologetic, then proceeded to tell me that the size and cut of meat was listed on the menu (which it was not, because we asked him to verify) and that he would talk to the Executive Chef to make changes in the "future". There was nothing that he could do for me, but offer a side salad to supplement my entree. Not to mention, I was the first of five to finish my meal first, because it was so miniature. I continued to watch my friends eat their meal, while mine was gone. Being that this restaurant has only been open for 3 weeks, I would definitely take a look at the menu and ensure the price of the meal reflects the size of the dish. I would also focus on customer service to ensure that ALL your guests are adequately taken care of so that in the future, they will return and tell others so that the business can prosper. read more

This was chosen by my significant other for Valentine's Day; currently as stands this establishment offers fantastic food at slightly elevated prices. However, as a new restaurant they have quite a bit to learn for customer satisfaction as far ambience and practical seating. Love this place! A great restraut with a unique menu and lavish decor! The kimchi eggs Benedict and carrot cake pancakes soooooooo good!

The ONLY good things about my brunch experience at The Manor were the Drag show and our server, Shaylie. Brooklyn Heights and the other queens put on an amazing show and Shaylie went above and beyond given the completely unprofessional lack of management at this restaurant. To start, I scheduled reservations in November that had to be rescheduled to December. I had to call 5 times to get a refund as only one owner has access to do so. Each time my info was taken and I was told someone would call me back. No one ever called me back. I finally spoke to one of the owners the day before who told me I was only refunded the amount that they could replace with people on their waitlist. This was understandable but would've been nice to know sooner than the day before after I had to call again. When we got there, my party of 12 was seated in the back room. This barely had enough room, I had 8 people at a table and 4 people standing at the end/sitting on benches. After 15 minutes of being seated, the server asked if she could move us after another group of 16 came in. After seeing that the other table was even more squished than our current table, we declined. Another server came in 10 minutes later and very rudely asked us to move again. She said we should want to move because "normally people are pissed when we sit them in here" And she blamed us for potentially affecting the drag performance due to lack of seating. Again, we declined. A member of the group of 16 came to us and said that they were seated in the center of the room and the ceiling was dripping on them. She also realized that her 16 guests wouldn't even have been able to fit in our space either. Finally, all of our food arrived cold. Someone in my party ordered the smoked salmon Benedict and the eggs came completely cooked through. Again, the queens put on an AMAZING show, but the owner never once came in to apologize for any of this. The servers were clearly stressed and the food was cold and mediocre. Very disappointing. read more
