I've been trying to visit for the last few weeks. They are not open every day so make sure to check the schedule ahead of time. Today I ordered the lavender matcha with oat milk, and it was super delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced: subtle floral notes from the lavender paired so smoothly with the matcha, and the oat milk gave it that creamy finish. When you walk in the store, no matter how busy it was, she greeted each person as they walked in. You can tell she really enjoys what she does and what they have to offer. It is not a big space but, it doesn't affect the quality of the product they provide. Its like the saying, "big things come in small packages." We had the please of trying a few things off the menu we tried the lavender matcha. Strawberry matcha, mango sticky rice matcha and the banana pudding matcha, they were all a 5/5 but the mango sticky rice was the top flavor. Called before I came to see if the crab biscuit was available. A pleasant young lady answered the phone and told me that they were available. You can't place an order over the phone so, I took a drive there. It wasn't busy when I arrived. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. It's a small place but, the set up is very cute. I'll start off by saying this: sistah sweets is definitely worth the hype. There's other cupcake spots and desserts similar in Baltimore but I think this is the first black women owned or at least recently. I used to visit their truck so I know what I'm talking about. My wife and I tried out their matchas. I had their mango sticky rice and my wife had the vanilla matcha. We got the 16 oz and with oat milk. Pros: the matcha they used is high quality. You can tell that based on the density and if the matcha tastes gritty when sipping. If this is your first time drinking matcha this is a good place to try It out. The matcha and mango blended well as they used REAL mango puree and I believe condensed milk. Cons: we've had better matcha at different spots. Just to name a few, Kyo matcha and tour le jour. I also think that $10 for a 16 oz is a bit egregious. Especially compared to these other locations. Regardless. Service is still amazing, ambiance is warm and girly. I've seen Sistah's Sweets all over social media and have been dying to visit. I'm not a huge dessert/cupcake person, but their unique flavors of matcha and other drinks are really what lured me in. I got a Dirty Shirley Temple and a banana bread matcha and my God...were they both delicious. Have you ever taken a sip of something and immediately started smiling because it was just. that. good? It took every fiber of my being to not go back and buy 5 more drinks. I find that for other coffee shops/cafes, most flavored matchas are extremely sweet, and take away from the natural earthiness of the matcha. The banana bread matcha had a nice sweetness, without being overpowering. Now for Ms. Dirty Shirley--I absolutely LOVE me a regular Shirley Temple, but the vanilla cream almost made it seem like I was drinking an ice cream float. I'd never had a Dirty Shirley before so I only got a medium, and after the first sip I wished I had gotten a large.
