Interactions have come across as dismissive and unwelcoming, and the overall tone doesn't feel consistent from one customer to the next. After experiencing this more than once, and returning at different times to be sure, it's clear this isn't an isolated situation. Good products don't excuse poor customer experience. At a certain point, how people are treated matters more -- and right now, that part is falling short. My husband had a craving for cronuts so I stumbled on this place only a 15 minute drive away. The ambiance is really simple and sweet pink and floral decor around. I even loved the head covering of one of the workers matching the pink and floral theme. A lot of flavors were sold out which led me to think more must be really good. We were able to try vanilla and churro which were both delicious in different ways. If you enjoy the crunch of a cronut churro is probably up your alley. If you enjoy some icing then vanilla is a sweet treat while also being buttery and airy like the perfect croissant. What a cute spot! The outside is painted pink which makes it's a great photoshoot opportunity! The area for customers is quite small, with two tables for eating. We got in about 15 mins after opening and the place was crowded and it looked like they were maybe already running out of things. We got 3 different cronuts- a rose, blueberry, and chocolate! The rose and blueberry had jam inside the layers which made it absolutely delicious- I LOVED the rose, could eat for the rest of my life. It seems like they switch up flavors fairly often though, so not sure how much it's available. I was looking forward to finally trying this local bakery located in Fed Hill. You can't miss their cute pink exterior. The inside is quite cute and everything displayed looked really good. I used the Yelp check-in to get a BOGO for up to 2 free donuts for the #womenrunbaltimore deal. I got 2 glazed and 2 roseberry donuts and also decided to try the Spanish crema. The donuts weren't as soft as I thought they'd be but were still good; super sweet of course. The Spanish crema had a custard inside that is similar to a Boston creme's donut. The more bites I ate though, I started getting a funky taste and consistency. I realized I was eating raw dough and sure enough, the inside all around the cream part was not fully cooked. Kind of weird and a little off putting. It was still good overall if it wasn't for the raw dough in the middle which I didn't finish once I realized what it was. The staff was also ok. Not the friendliest front house person who I interacted with. He was a bit brusque and a little condescending with the couple questions and comments I had. Dulceology specializes in Alfajores, which are traditional Argentine pastries made with two delicate, melt-in-your-mouth cookies filled with creamy dulce de leche caramel. They are handcrafted according to Argentine tradition and topped with coconut shavings, powdered sugar, or covered in chocolate. I was finally able to try their donuts on my third visit last weekend. Don't be like me- be aware that they only have donuts on the weekends and/or place your order in advance. Customer service was great. I was overwhelmed by all of the options of pastries and baked goods but their team was patient. I had the opportunity to try their blueberry cupcake, chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream, and pumpkin spice and cookies and cream alfajores on my first and second visits. Everything was delicious. The buttercream was light and airy. It was my first time trying alfajores and I was surprised by how much I liked them. I enjoyed them with coffee but I'm sure they would go well with any warm drink. The donuts are worth the hype. I would be perfectly fine with never having a donut from anywhere else ever again. They're baked croissant-donuts. I was able to get original glazed, apple pie and churro donuts. I enjoyed them all but the apple pie donut was my favorite.
