Came here with a friend on a Thursday morning after a visit to JHU. This is on a small side street by the university and there is free street parking available. There is exclusively indoor seating with several tables though it was busy enough by 10:30 am that only ~2 tables were free. It looks like this is a spot a lot of people work/study at. They have numerous desserts in their bakery displays but we only tried the drinks since we weren't hungry. Sakura latte (iced) 4/5; this is a strawberry matcha, didn't really taste any Sakura or other cherry flavoring that said I did enjoy this latte. The matcha effect was slightly stronger than the strawberry which I enjoyed Chai Latte (hot) 3/5, my friend got this and noted it wasn't a more spiced chai and felt it was fine

Baltimore Bakery Crawl stop #2 of seven places! My best friend, her college bestie, husband, and I spent Sunday 2/2 exploring different Baltimore bakeries. I tried three things here, so this review is based on that! This bakery wins the aesthetically pleasing award of the seven bakeries we visited. It looks like an amazing spot to meet up with friends or get some work done (some people had their laptops out). They had plenty of seating available and pastries/cakes that will look incredible in any of your yelp photos. As a group we ordered the cream cheese garlic bun and strawberry choco chiffon cake. I also got a mocha. The cake wasn't for me, the strawberry was too artificial for my liking and the cake itself was very ok. The bun was fun, the cream cheese filling was a bit sweet, overall it was fine. My mocha was ok too. It was cool to visit this charming spot. It's very vibey.

This is a family owned coffee shop specializes in croissants. We came here for light breakfast. I ordered almond croissant with house coffee. The croissant was flaky, light, and with almond filling. There was some coffee floaters and I wasn't sure if it supposed to be there. But it tasted okay. Nice place to hangout. You can sit either inside or outside.

Lovely cafe, clean and organized. The treats are fresh and delicious! The staff are friendly and welcoming, I look forward to coming again :)

Such a sweet little spot, and a perfect place to catch up with a friend on a chilly winter afternoon. There's some cafes that focus on aesthetic decor more than the food. This place offers quality food for reasonable prices and is way more my speed than the overly curated places in more visible spots of the city. Check out the hidden gem (not on Tuesdays though, they're closed).

I came here on a Monday morning after reading about this new bakery! It was a little hard to find as there wasn't a sign outside. We saw a red awning, looked into the window, and saw it was the bakery. The owners were really nice. I ordered 3 croissants (regular, almond, and double chocolate) and the brioche blueberry roll. I also got an opera cake and a lemon raspberry cake. We also got a cappuccino and a peach soda. They had a couple of groups in there already. All the baked goods were beautiful! My pastries were packaged nicely. We waited to try it when we got home. The croissants were really good. My husband loves a good plain croissant. I enjoyed the double chocolate. They were flakey and delicious. The cakes were fantastic. Super great flavor and delicious. The brioche blueberry was good, but i probably wouldn't get it again. They are a little pricey, but I guess with rising costs these days, it's hard to avoid.

Excellent pastries and coffee! Highly recommend! My coffee order did take a few minutes and there was some confusion but I think this was a one time issue. Just be prepared to wait a few minutes for your coffee.

I came here to study and try a new cafe, and I'm glad I did! I ordered a ham & cheese croissant, a cookie, and their Thai style iced coffee (Es Yen). The croissant was one of the best I've ever had, and since I love Vietnamese coffee, their coffee really hit the spot for me. I'll be back here again to try other baked goods!

A cute cafe near hopkins undergrad campus. Enjoyed their hot chocolate. Their cream cheese garlic bun (not pictured) is so good too.

This place has a really nice cozy feel. Lots of folks studying and working, beautiful laminated dough pastries. I got the garlic cream cheese bun--it was good. A delicious mess but a little too sweet for me. In retrospect I should have gotten one of the amazing looking croissants. I noticed after I ordered that you can watch them fold the dough around the side of the cafe. Would definitely come back.

    Coconut Croissant

Seriously the best croissant I've ever had (which is saying something because I've had them in France) the coconut croissant was AMAZING not too sweet but sweet enough. The tomato toast was also delicious and had a sweet (the ricotta) and savory flavor. You have to try this place, like it's a MUST if you like pastries.

This cafe/pastry shop/coffeeshop in the Ambassador building spans French to Thai and does everything well! I've stopped by three times now - sometimes for just a coffee, sometimes for coffee and a pastry. The service is the best (everyone is so sweet), and the coffee is always great. I don't have a huge sweet tooth (more of a savory girl), so some of the pastries are a little too sweet for me, but they are beautiful - and they always seem to have different pastries every time I stop in! It has some inside seating (seems to be popular with students who live nearby already since it has quiet, peaceful, could study here vibes), and a few tables outside as well. Really charming addition to the neighborhood! I'm sure I'll be back many more times!

Unfortunately, the atmosphere, food, and counter service didn't fully match the setting. Right when you walk in, the large menu is on the wall to the right. I had my daughter with me, the sun had just been in my eyes, and I missed it. When I asked whether they had a menu, the worker behind the counter just looked at me instead of pointing it out. I eventually noticed a paper menu, but it didn't seem to include the coffee drinks. There may have been another menu for specialty drinks, but getting basic guidance felt harder than it needed to be. I ordered a cortado and the house sandwich. The sandwich needed more cheese and more flavor. Hot sauce probably would have helped, but the sandwich should not depend on me fixing it. The cortado was easily the star of the visit. It was served with a small glass of mineral water, which was a classy touch, and the coffee itself was very good. Overall, this was a 3-out-of-5 experience for me. Great location, good-looking shop, excellent cortado, forgettable sandwich, and counter service that felt either checked out or purposely unhelpful. I'll probably check it out again, but I'm in no rush

It was a community dinner party with Chef Char. You had a choice of a ticket with or without wine pairing. Me and my friend chose the ticket with wine pairing. The ticket included two glasses of wine. The menu was not printed online so we went in kinda blind on what was served. The first course was a roasted vegetable dish which consisted of broccoli, fingerling potatoes and pears with a Greek yogurt sauce. The second course was chicken thighs with risotto in a tomato sauce and the third course was a granola strudel with pears. There was also an arugula salad with grapefruit segments and parmesan cheese. I can be brutally honest, none of the courses were seasoned well. The first course was cold, the vegetables were wilted and did not mesh well. Was not expecting pears to be with my roasted vegetables. The second course was underwhelming as well. The food did not have any flavor and the dessert was not my favorite at all. I only ate the fruit out of the dessert. The chef did come out and let us know what each course was, however I felt that she really wasn't too personable with the guests. A few of the guests at the table were her friends so she only engaged with them, and of course they hyped her up, however the food was bland and underwhelming and the majority of the guests including myself did not finish their plates. If there is another community dinner, I hope it will be with a different chef in mind As I stated before my review is of the event, not the business as a whole.

Driving down York Road one day I decided let me finally make a pit stop into Baltoz. An open space counter to see some of the magic in the kitchen, no frills to the restaurant, but a warm and inviting atmosphere for hanging out and enjoying a delicious pizza for dinner. All of the baked goods displayed on the counter entice you to indulge in a sweet treat before ordering a pizza. My first visit I just settled on some cookies and a jalapeno cheddar bagel, since I was on my way elsewhere for dinner. But let me tell you how the chocolate chip cookie instantly became one of my favorite bakery cookies. And the bagel was decadent for my morning breakfast, covered in cheddar cheese with those crispy edges that bake at the base of the bagel. On my second visit I settled on their corn pizza since it was a different flavor combination, and it tasted like a slice of summer. Corn, basil, and ricotta, and you can't go wrong. And the staff has always been really pleasant with each visit. I'm a sucker for baked goods and a wood-fire pizza and I can say Baltoz has stolen my heart. I'm looking forward to trying more of their rotational baked items. And I know for certain their pepperoni pizza has to be a showstopper.
