I came with a small group for breakfast and we had no trouble finding seating, even on a weekend. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a self-serve water station inside. Food is brought out to tables, which was really nice. I ordered the seasonal scramble and a banana bread latte, both of which were really good. Everyone else in my group loved their food and drinks as well.
Wow, it has been a loooong time since I have been to Cunningham's! So glad we arrived before the rush because around 9:00 AM it got crazy busy. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito and two drip coffees at the counter by a lovely young woman. She was very kind and had a positive attitude. Zeke's Coffee is always delicious, and our orders were delivered to our table in no time. The breakfast sandwich was fantastic, as was the breakfast burrito with turkey sausage. It was huge so I took half home to enjoy later. Alyssa was very friendly and helped me find a to-go container and also replaced the coffee that was out. Very friendly and professional employees here. Free hour parking across the street in the open lot. The highlight? Purse hooks at each table along the wall. Nice touch! It's the little things....
Something has changed at this cafe. Once my favorite cafe in Towson I was there the other day and my experience was pretty lackluster. I feel like ownership might've changed. I know their upstairs restaurant sold the Atlas group and rename to perennial, but that has since closed. the café, though I thought had stayed the same, but it looked like a whole different group of employees when I walked in. Their breakfast menu skews very heavy and I opted to do a biscuit sandwich because it felt like the smallest item there l, the coffee I think is from ceremony - the espresso was fine. The biscuit tasted really mass-produced and almost cafeteria. It wasn't bad. I just remember their food being really elevated and unique. I will say, though best part of Cunningham's was a service. The staff was really friendly.
I really liked the ambiance of this place. I went on a Tuesday around 12PM. Service was fast and I could see many people either choosing to sit inside or outside, not just taking carry out. Iced white mocha latte 4/10: Tasted watered down to me Farmhand breakfast 5/10: One, I wish this was hot when it came out. I felt like there was too much salt overall in this meal even after mixing it all up. I'd be willing to try this place again as I had a sip of my friend's chai latte and thought it was good
The Apple pie iced latte was amazing! So happy to have fall coffee flavors that isn't pumpkin! It was perfectly sweet and leveled out with the espresso. The location is in quaint area of Towson. There's parking across the street in a small lot, but gets filled quickly. There's lots of space to get work done in the cafe and there's also outdoor seating. The service was great, they were informative and nice. Will definitely be back to try more items
Cute little place in a little downtown Towson. Very busy for brunch time and they do serve breakfast all day. We got avocado toast and a cup of soup. The avocado toast was $13? And it was miniature. They must really want you to be skinny here because there was not a lot on this plate. It does come with one sunny side up egg, which is helpful for sustenance. Overall, the flavor was fine but they put this harissa yogurt on it and it's very overpowering because there is almost no avocado on this toast. Really could've used an element like arugula or some micro greens or some goat cheese. The tomato soup was the soup of the day was actually delicious. Did need little bit of salt, but that's just my preference. Portion size for four dollars was very good as well, but it comes with no toast or bread or crackers and they want you to buy pretty much a loaf of bread on the side if you need it. While the soup was very flavorful. It definitely needed a crispy or chewy element to it . Overall, it was a fine spot because of limited options, but I'm going to expect we're going to need another meal sooner rather than later and I wouldn't go out of my way to come here
Local bakery cafe that's super popular in the morning! For this visit, I tried their blueberry muffin and iced coffee. I enjoyed the blueberry muffin as it wasn't too sweet and the crumble on top of it added to a nice texture. Iced coffee was nice and strong. I came around 11 am so there wasn't too many loaves of bread left but I managed to pick up a rosemary lemon loaf which looks delicious!! Service was good too and super helpful in answering my questions. Despite a long ish line, it went by really quick to order. Ambiance is nice too with indoor seating and outdoor seating. It definitely seems like a pretty popular location to meet friends and family so definitely check this place out!
Super cute breakfast spot. It looks more like a coffee shop. The number one perk for me is that they open early. I tried the Masala Chai Tea and a cheese danish. The staff were nice and welcoming. They are pet friendly and have a cute puppy wall with photos of pups.... Too cute. The down side for me was I was given a cold danish. Not sure if they offer a warm pastry option or not. They also have lunch so I'll be back to try that.
I've been a customer of Cunningham's for some time now. The cafe is a wonderful, local option. I'm a fan of their breakfast burrito paired with a hot latte. They also have a full menu of lunch items as well as daily and seasonal specials. The atmosphere is very low key and relaxing. You can sit outside with a book, friends or inside with a laptop. You can Bring your dog, too! The cafe itself has indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are pleasant and the space is very clean. They have a dedicated lot that does fill up quickly, so plan for that. You also have the option to call ahead and pickup. I've done this on occasion and the food is just as god when I get to my destination. Great local business to support!
This is a Towson staple I missed while I was at Loyola, so I'm happy to make up for it now. The café is absolutely adorable, the enclosed patio is beautiful to sit and enjoy your coffee and a bite to eat in the sunshine. I noticed fans and heated lamps installed in the ceiling, which will be so nice as it gets chillier and people want to enjoy themselves outside. The staff are all great, I only saw young college-aged people working and they were all so nice, friendly - and incredibly fast! Almost all the tables inside were occupied by people chatting and eating, but the noise levels were still perfect for studying, a date, or sitting in a corner reading. The breakfast burrito was really tasty and hit the spot and satisfied my breakfast craving. It's packed full of eggs, avocado, home fries, black beans, and pico de gallo. Not spicy at all (for the heat-averse readers), super flavorful, very filling - highly recommend! The Baltimore Turkey sandwich was the perfect rustic sandwich with avocado, lettuce, bacon, and cheese. If you're looking for a tried and true classic, this is your sandwich. Both of our hot drinks were delicious. The masala chai tea latte was perfectly spiced and with creamy, smooth sips. The latte was really tasty and well frothed, much better than a Starbucks latte.

The prices can be a bit high but the food quality is amazing so that justified it for me. Also- if you are a student if you show your ID you can get a bit of a discount! Love this place!

Very disappointing, have been to this cute little spot in Towson a few times.. and each time the food becomes more mediocre at best. The front staff who takes your order is very welcoming and friendly but what I really also would like is good presentation and quality for food you pay a little bit more for, since this is a bougie cafe in Towson. I paid basically $30 with tax and tip for two small pancakes and a tiny breakfast sandwich (not sure what I was tipping for as the only thing the runner does is bring your food to your table, we bus our own tables and go inside to place our orders. I like to tip but I think when you go to a cafe that wants you to tip I would expect a little more assistance similar to a restaurant) The pancakes were seasonal and supposed to be mixed berries, yet came out with only a few blueberries and one sad raspberry, I was told there would be strawberries but did not have a one. No other fruit and some melted whipped cream. Very unappealing for paying $13.50. And they Sandwich was about the size of a deck of cards and dry, very bland. I was hoping this place would pick back up as the last few times it's been trending downward. Sunday was not that day.. and might be my last time visiting them.
Drove by this place looking for a cafe close, went to my Yelp for review help. The reviews were mixed but it seemed popular. There isnt available parking near. I went in and was met with soothing holiday music and friendly staff. I ordered the Seasonal Scramble with the help of the staff I was settled not to get the asian pears on my scramble but on the side. The seasonal scramble comes with home fries and multi grain toast. The eggs are made with goat cheese and some other ingredients. The goat cheese was not a hit with this. The home fries were cold. I also ordered their popular cinnamon toast latte. I was not a true fan as the coffee used is quite strong ang bitter. I ordered to go and to my suprise I see that this is an Atlas Restaurant Group establishment. Because these folks were nice, I may come back and try something else because this $18 meal was not tasty. It gave me a queasy stomach smelling and eating the eggs with the goat cheese. read more

In the heart of Towson, Cunningham's Cake and Bakery is just a mere block away from the hustle and bustle around the busy Towson circle. There is a parking lot across the property, alternatively you can comfortably park at the mall or on the streets and have a nice brisk walk to the bakery. I discovered this bakery for the sole purpose of finding a local "sourdough bread plug", and boy am I impressed! Breads are first come first serve and typically sell out in the morning or early afternoon. The staff are friendly and helpful with your orders. The food is delicious and light, a great spot to get your day started over a quick brunch. read more

I visited Cunningham's prior to the pandemic to indulge in their special Valentine's Day menu. I had previously been to Cunningham's Bakery (downstairs) and loved the casual, laid-back vibe for coffee meetings. The cafe upstairs is certainly more upscale but with the same level of care and cleanliness as downstairs. The different atmospheres (and price points) of the cafe versus the bakery really make Cunningham's stand out as a one stop shop for any kind of meal or occasion. During the Valentine's Day Dinner, my friends and I each selected entrees from the prix fixe menu. I chose the salmon and was impressed! Not only was the fish fresh and cooked to perfection, but it was adorned with fresh garnishes and a fluffy cake underneath. This was a presentation of salmon I had never seen before but was pleasantly surprised with how the different flavors worked together. The cocktail menu and wine list is expansive, which made it easy for everyone in my party to find something they enjoyed. Whether you're stopping in for a quick pastry and a coffee downstairs, or enjoying a classy, four-course meal upstairs, Cunningham's has something for everyone and every occasion! read more

Every food choice is great but there is an area of improvement. If you order on the app or website you should incorporate a counter for pick up orders since it's so busy in there. read more

Great cafe in downtown Towson! Was staying by Goucher College visiting a relative and was really craving some GOOD coffee. Could have easily wandered over to Starbucks but this place caught my eye and it was within walking distance so decided to check it out. Was so happy we did! It is right below Perennial which looks like an amazing restaurant (need to check it out next time I'm in town). Cunningham's has it all! From breakfast specials to salads to any pastry you would like, they have the works! So many things on their menu I wanted to try so we went back a second time. Not only is their coffee fantastic but their food is just as good! They even have homemade bread available to take home. Nice outdoor patio with heaters too AND they are dog friendly. Will definitely be back when we come to visit again. read more
First off, the ambiance is excellent: cozy rustic/industrial coffeehouse vibe with lots of warm wood, brick, twinkle lights, and Edison bulbs. The outdoor seating is very cute and comfortable. In regard to the food, I ate here once before and was very pleased with the quality. They have a nice selection of breakfast and lunch food, and a good amount of drink options too (coffee, tea, fancy sodas). I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on ciabatta. The egg was cooked omelette style on the sandwich with cheese folded in (which I liked a lot). It had good bread that was soft and crusty. Parking: they have a small dedicated lot for Towson town center visitors literally right across the street (score!) but other parking is virtually non-existent unless you want to pay to park in the garage. Room for improvement: - The bathroom was kind of dirty looking and bare-bones (not the same style as the rest of the cafe at all). There are plenty of little fixes they could make to warm it up (softer lighting, decor, paint). Overall not a big deal but just a very strange contrast. - There definitely could have been more bacon on my sandwich. I popped the top off and the bacon didn't cover the whole footprint of the sandwich, so I didn't get some in each bite. Overall I would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area for the vibes and quality of food. I would probably arrive pretty early on a weekday though, since it seems super popular and there is limited parking. read more

This is an excellent spot for a quick breakfast either to go or eat at the restaurant. If staying, they have seating both indoors and out. Today was my first lunch there; I had a pastrami sandwich with a salad! It was pretty tasty! They also offer various coffees that are available at all times. The service is amiable too, with quick staff to answer any questions. Regarding prices, it is a little on the higher side, but that seems to be the norm these days. read more

Service was quick and efficient for weekday morning. Vanilla cappuccino hit the spot with a smooth richness. The farmhand breakfast was average. The eggs were well prepared. The home fries were a little greasy and soggy. The bacon was cooked well and the toast was on par. read more
What a find! My friend and I finally stopped at this place after passing by it so many times in Towson. It's located easily off of the roundabout. Parking is available across the street. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is perfect. Not too many options which I prefer. I feel sometimes having too many selections can ruin the quality of the food. Stick with smaller selections and be really good at it. This is that place. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and my friend ordered the French toast. The French toast was airy and flavorful. The biscuits and gravy was a wonderful surprise. The gravy was not heavy and had a savory spicy flavor that was unexpected and welcomed. Normally biscuits and gravy are coma inducing but not this time. I ate it all and didn't feel tired. It was so good. The vanilla latte with oat milk was also delicious. The ambiance of this place was so homey and inviting. Seeing the wall of dogs put a huge smile on my face. I'm so bringing my pup when it's summertime. read more
i was in the towson area and looking for a good lunch place and the reviews said Cunningham's was good so decided to check it out i got the powerhouse sandwich plus the grilled cheese - the grilled cheese was a bit disappointing and i would not recommend it but the powerhouse was really good with great flavor and good ingredients (including the bread which tasted fresh and paired nicely with the sandwich) overall the powerhouse was a nice and tasty sandwich so would recommend that read more

This place had a really nice vibe. Rustic and soothing. There was indoor and outdoor seating which was nice. I ordered the spinach salad which was very fresh and delicious. It was a good sized salad and there was a pleasant amount all the other salad elements. I recommend this place. read more
