I went in and was met with soothing holiday music and friendly staff. I ordered the Seasonal Scramble with the help of the staff I was settled not to get the asian pears on my scramble but on the side. The seasonal scramble comes with home fries and multi grain toast. The eggs are made with goat cheese and some other ingredients. The goat cheese was not a hit with this. The home fries were cold. I also ordered their popular cinnamon toast latte. I was not a true fan as the coffee used is quite strong ang bitter. I ordered to go and to my suprise I see that this is an Atlas Restaurant Group establishment. I came with a small group for breakfast and we had no trouble finding seating, even on a weekend. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a self-serve water station inside. Wow, it has been a loooong time since I have been to Cunningham's! So glad we arrived before the rush because around 9:00 AM it got crazy busy. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito and two drip coffees at the counter by a lovely young woman. She was very kind and had a positive attitude. Zeke's Coffee is always delicious, and our orders were delivered to our table in no time. The breakfast sandwich was fantastic, as was the breakfast burrito with turkey sausage. Something has changed at this cafe. Once my favorite cafe in Towson I was there the other day and my experience was pretty lackluster. I feel like ownership might've changed. I know their upstairs restaurant sold the Atlas group and rename to perennial, but that has since closed. the café, though I thought had stayed the same, but it looked like a whole different group of employees when I walked in. Their breakfast menu skews very heavy and I opted to do a biscuit sandwich because it felt like the smallest item there l, the coffee I think is from ceremony - the espresso was fine. The Apple pie iced latte was amazing! So happy to have fall coffee flavors that isn't pumpkin! It was perfectly sweet and leveled out with the espresso. The location is in quaint area of Towson. There's parking across the street in a small lot, but gets filled quickly. There's lots of space to get work done in the cafe and there's also outdoor seating. Cute little place in a little downtown Towson. Very busy for brunch time and they do serve breakfast all day. We got avocado toast and a cup of soup. The avocado toast was $13? And it was miniature. They must really want you to be skinny here because there was not a lot on this plate. It does come with one sunny side up egg, which is helpful for sustenance. Overall, the flavor was fine but they put this harissa yogurt on it and it's very overpowering because there is almost no avocado on this toast. Really could've used an element like arugula or some micro greens or some goat cheese. The tomato soup was the soup of the day was actually delicious. Did need little bit of salt, but that's just my preference. Portion size for four dollars was very good as well, but it comes with no toast or bread or crackers and they want you to buy pretty much a loaf of bread on the side if you need it. While the soup was very flavorful. It definitely needed a crispy or chewy element to it . Local bakery cafe that's super popular in the morning! For this visit, I tried their blueberry muffin and iced coffee. I enjoyed the blueberry muffin as it wasn't too sweet and the crumble on top of it added to a nice texture. Iced coffee was nice and strong. I came around 11 am so there wasn't too many loaves of bread left but I managed to pick up a rosemary lemon loaf which looks delicious!! Service was good too and super helpful in answering my questions. Despite a long ish line, it went by really quick to order. Ambiance is nice too with indoor seating and outdoor seating. I've been a customer of Cunningham's for some time now. The cafe is a wonderful, local option. I'm a fan of their breakfast burrito paired with a hot latte. They also have a full menu of lunch items as well as daily and seasonal specials. The atmosphere is very low key and relaxing. You can sit outside with a book, friends or inside with a laptop. You can Bring your dog, too! The cafe itself has indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are pleasant and the space is very clean. They have a dedicated lot that does fill up quickly, so plan for that. This is a Towson staple I missed while I was at Loyola, so I'm happy to make up for it now. The café is absolutely adorable, the enclosed patio is beautiful to sit and enjoy your coffee and a bite to eat in the sunshine. I noticed fans and heated lamps installed in the ceiling, which will be so nice as it gets chillier and people want to enjoy themselves outside. The staff are all great, I only saw young college-aged people working and they were all so nice, friendly - and incredibly fast! Almost all the tables inside were occupied by people chatting and eating, but the noise levels were still perfect for studying, a date, or sitting in a corner reading. The breakfast burrito was really tasty and hit the spot and satisfied my breakfast craving. It's packed full of eggs, avocado, home fries, black beans, and pico de gallo. Not spicy at all (for the heat-averse readers), super flavorful, very filling - highly recommend! The Baltimore Turkey sandwich was the perfect rustic sandwich with avocado, lettuce, bacon, and cheese. If you're looking for a tried and true classic, this is your sandwich. I absolutely love Cunninghams! I used to work in the building above the cafe so it was super convenient to go down and grab some food. The employees are always super welcoming, kind, and helpful. Some of my favorite items are the avocado toast, any of their beverages, and pancakes. Their sandwiches and fries are also delish. I was interested in coming here because Cunningham's as a bakery supplies, high-end bread to some of the high-end restaurants in the Baltimore metropolitan area. I would've expected a robust bakery to have a wide array of fresh baked items... instead this café is set up like any other standard café. In regard to the food, I ate here once before and was very pleased with the quality. They have a nice selection of breakfast and lunch food, and a good amount of drink options too (coffee, tea, fancy sodas). I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on ciabatta. The egg was cooked omelette style on the sandwich with cheese folded in (which I liked a lot). It had good bread that was soft and crusty. Parking: they have a small dedicated lot for Towson town center visitors literally right across the street (score!) but other parking is virtually non-existent unless you want to pay to park in the garage. Room for improvement: - The bathroom was kind of dirty looking and bare-bones (not the same style as the rest of the cafe at all). There are plenty of little fixes they could make to warm it up (softer lighting, decor, paint). Overall not a big deal but just a very strange contrast. - There definitely could have been more bacon on my sandwich. I popped the top off and the bacon didn't cover the whole footprint of the sandwich, so I didn't get some in each bite. Overall I would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area for the vibes and quality of food. What a find! My friend and I finally stopped at this place after passing by it so many times in Towson. It's located easily off of the roundabout. Parking is available across the street. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is perfect. Not too many options which I prefer. I feel sometimes having too many selections can ruin the quality of the food. Cunningham's menu isn't particularly massive, but each item is carefully tailored to be absolutely delicious. The breakfast sandwich is inexpensive, but my favorite way to start a day. The hangover fries are perfect for the night of, or day after an ultimate party. All their sandwiches are made on what tastes like fresh made bread and their pancakes are light, fluffy, and the perfect receptacle for maple syrup. Much like their food menu, Cunningham has a limited coffee menu that's packed with quality. Expect most styles of coffee: americano, latte, iced, etc, with an optional shot of flavored sweetener, or sometimes a combination of sweeteners for specialty drinks. You won't find the crazy concoctions you'd expect at a Starbucks, but you will find perfectly smooth and aromatic coffees. My first time here. I took my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday. She had the caesar salad with blackened chicken. I had the cobb salad with added blackened chicken. They were both soooo delicious. My salad was lightly dressed per my request and to my liking, with substituted vinegar dressing. Birthday girl ordered a chocolate black bottom cupcake and I had the raspberry dessert. They both were very good. Outdoor patio seating is very nice with umbrellas sheltering every table. There is a free parking lot across the road which is very helpful, as downtown Towson parking can be problematic. I found this place from the chef winning cooking show awards.
