I found this place on Yelp and ordered my sister's graduation cake. It was extremely easy to place my order online. I got a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream layered inside. It came out perfect and everyone said they loved it! I personally enjoyed it more eating it the following day after it had been refrigerated over night. I will definitely order from here again.
What a great cake shop! I found the shop through Yelp and was coming into order a custom gluten-free cake for a birthday celebration coming up. Not knowing exactly what I was looking for, the staff were outstanding assisting me with what I needed. I placed the order and paid for the cake and was about to leave when I decided that I wanted a treat for myself and I got a triple chocolate cheesecake cupcake which was out of this world. When I got home, I found out the birthday girl wanted an all chocolate cake and knowing that that was an option, I called the store back and asked if there was a way that we could modify what I had ordered for something else. Since it was more than a week before the cake was being picked up, they said it was no problem. Really great store, super location, delicious cake items, and they even have dog biscuits and pupcakes for our furry friends. Can't say enough about this place and I highly recommend to visit here if you're looking for a cake for a special occasion and if you need a gluten-free cake they have many options for you to choose from. The cake prices are reasonable here and this will be my place of choice not only now but for the future. I highly recommend a visit here.
I love it here. Stopped by a couple of days before my birthday. I was only gonna use my $5.00 off birthday reward to get a cupcake. I entered the always clean store. Immediately was greeted and asked how I could be helped. Although, I came in for a cupcake, it was an already made cake that caught my eye. Between the pleasant service and the never disappointing treats.......I ended up purchasing a cake for my birthday. I was able to use my reward on the cake. I was given direction on how to keep the cake fresh until I was ready to serve. I left in the fridge until 2-3 hours before serving time. My red velvet birthday cake was on point. I was not disappointed. The icing did have an after eating coating on my tongue. That was the one thing I didn't care for. Overall, I give the cake a 8 out of ten.
I had my boyfriend's tinned fish themed cake made here and I cannot rave enough! I ordered a carrot cake and it was the best carrot cake I've had. The design was outstanding. Customer service was great and you are able to pay for your order online! Pickup was easy, just walked in and gave my name and my cake was ready! They showed me the cake and had me sign saying I was satisfied. Truly amazing and I will 100% get more desserts from here!!
One of the few places I can go for a dairy free dessert. I usually get the cupcakes. But today I got cupcakes and a jar since they had the vegan version of both. I will say the vegan cupcakes flavors are very limited. I would like to see more than vanilla and chocolate variations but also I'm thankful I can eat them. The jar was pretty good. Thick and creamy. Perhaps a bit too much crème. Though they are perfectly sweet the cupcakes lack flavor. They are still very fresh though. Service was polite, informative, and fast. Y'all gotta come see the inside of this place, it's beautiful. And if you can eat dairy the selections are so much wider. I just wish the had sitting with strawberry or lemon in a cupcake. I'll come again though.

Tried some cupcakes first- fell in love with the moist cake and delicious frosting and were amazed by the black bottom cupcake. Proceeded to immediately order a black bottom cake with raspberry filling. It was both beautiful and delicious!!!

So I've stopped in to deliver the cupclouds and the store smells like sugar. Then I finally order one (6) of these tasty treats, and omg. I am in heaven! Gotta get you some of these!!!
I ordered my daughters birthday cake from here. The ladies behind the counter were so nice and my daughter loved her cake. So did her friends. I had to horde a few slices so I could have some. lol.
I've been trying different bakeries around Baltimore, and this one is my favorite so far. I've visited several times, and their black bottom cupcakes are absolutely incredible. The shop is clean and beautifully decorated, and the staff is friendly. Their desserts are reasonably priced, always fresh, and consistently delicious. I've also had their cake jars, and they're fantastic too!
This cake was absolutely delicious! And need I even say...BEAUTIFUL! My son surprised me for my birthday because I had been wanting this cake for months! If you haven't been to Jason's, what are you waiting for?
I'm so glad we booked Cake by Jason! Let me start by saying Jason is an old high school friend of mine and Jason has ALWAYS been such a bubbly bright soul. He was always so friendly to everyone, kind to everyone, and he was just so sweet every time I was around him. With that said, I always had any cake for any occasion made by him. I've referred him to others for their cakes, etc. every cake has had such detail focused on and Jason is seriously the king of cakes! For our wedding, if you can't tell from the pictures, I was SHOCKED when I saw the cake. The preview picture was ok, but this cake dropped jaws on the floor! A three-tier cake that embodied our horoscopes, had rainbows in it, crystals, a red carpet, and the moon and stars as a cake topper! All was genius! It was a red velvet cake with cream cheese and strawberry filling. I didn't want to freeze it because it is so freaking delicious! Overall, I wouldn't have gone with anyone else for my wedding cake but Jason and the cake was made with such love and inspiration! read more

One of the few places I can go for a dairy free dessert. I usually get the cupcakes. But today I got cupcakes and a jar since they had the vegan version of both. My mom was getting married a few days before Christmas and I wanted to get a small but beautiful cake to celebrate afterwards. I decided to check out Cakes by Jason to see what pre made cakes they already had and this beauty was exactly what I was looking for! My mom loved it as did everyone else. The cake was moist and the icing was delicious and not overly sweet which I like. 10/10 experience as I was able to grab and go same day for this cake. They had several options available on the day I went. I can't wait to go back to try the cupcakes and cake jars. Everything looked and smelled incredible. This is the 6 inch cake and it was more than enough for 10 people. read more

I was surprised to see Cake by Jason Hisley is the same shopping center as Edo Sushi. I've had this location bookmarked for some time and I was excited when I saw it! I ordered the red velvet and a limited flavor, unfortunately I do not remember the flavor but I think it was cake batter. The red velvet was ok, I wasn't blown away. The cake batter was pretty good. Customer service was great! Will definitely visit again. read more

~ This place is fire !!! Was looking for a top-of-the-line bakery to order a birthday cake, cause y'all know the monster's birthday is early November. Saw this place online & it didn't disappoint. Clean, beautiful decor, wonderful staff & smells wonderful. While I was ordering my birthday cake I decided to grab a couple of cupcakes just to see what the taste, texture & moisture was going to be let. Best I've ever had. I tried a bunch of this, but I just wanna focus on the red velvet cupcakes. The way the cream cheese blend with the red velvet is legendary. The other cupcakes were good as well, don't get it confused. Your going to wanna grab more red velvets when you make your decision. I'll get back to y'all on the birthday cake when it arrives. I recently ordered the Vanilla Chocolate Signature Cake but changed up the actual cake to marble and the filling to cannoli. I also got it as a 1/4 sheet as opposed to round. It was less layers than the round which was perfect for my guests. Everyone loved it and raves about how light the cake and buttercream was. I highly recommend! read more

The interior was clean and they have replicated custom cakes design on the walls. The cupcakes were delicious, however, I would have to say the cookie dough cupcake left me uninterested. The triple chocolate cupcake was magically scrumptious!!! The chocolate peanut butter cupcake was good but if they added a center then it would have taken it to the next level!!! Finally, all the icing on the cupcakes were delicious! Great place and I would 10000% get treats from this location establishment again. read more

I was thoroughly impressed with Cake by Jason Hisley. I ordered a two-tier buttercream-strawberry pink and white cake for a 75th birthday party about a week ago. It was the most beautiful work of art I've ever seen. A confectioner's sculpture, if you will. It tasted great, and it was enough to serve my 30 guests and have a few pieces left over for later. The customer service was great. The website is super user-friendly. I will definitely be ordering again for events in the future! read more

THE BEST CAKE I HAVE HAD. Amazing baking and fantastic details. I ordered a Peter Rabbit and his family cake for my sister in law's birthday. She always makes awesome cakes for everyone's birthday so we wanted to do something special. This was my first time ordering a cake from Cake by Jason. I want not sure what I was going to get since I have never had it before, the cakes looked really good in picture but wasn't sure how was it going to be from the inside. The minute I saw the cake my jaw dropped because it was a show stopper cake. Everyone at the dinner just wanted to talk about the cake and how amazing it was. It tasted great. It looked great. I couldn't get over the details on the cake. Even at the age of 42 this was her FAVORTIE cake. I am willing to make an hour long drive one way to pick up a cake from Cake by Jason cause it's pretty epic. :-) read more

I stumbled across this bakery after a quick bite in the same shopping strip of stores. The store is rather large for a bakery, although indoor seating had been removed I thought social distancing could safely occur if someone wanted to eat dessert inside. I was greeted immediately and offered assistance by at least three individuals. Since this was my first time in the store it took me awhile to scan the options. I landed on 6 cupcakes to share with my family. Once home, my stash had diminished to one option (sister and kids) so I only sampled the cookies and cream. The cupcake was fresh and I really enjoyed the icing. The center was a little too gooey for me. It was like a pudding interior. I should have taken better pictures because each was a mini-masterpiece. Next time I'll try a few more flavors for personal consumption ;) read more

When it comes to Gluten Free options, what's available? Does it change on a daily basis? I would love to taste one and possibly purchase a few for Valentine's Day for someone who cannot have gluten in their diet.
The flavors change daily but normally it is some type of vanilla flavor and chocolate flavor. They post the new flavors daily on their Facebook page early in the morning. And if you are special ordering something, I'm sure they can accommodate you.…
