The place may be scary but the food is great. It is a very dim place. Seems like the electricity for the lighting is on the same circuit. So the lighting is not bright. Also the was are freshly painted but the whole seating area is a dull shade of brown. Needs a more cheery color. You can so see straight into the kitchen a participant would be nice. As for the the food the bacon on the BLT it was perfect to me. Very crispy. Fresh tomato and lettuce on toast and it was great. The wife had a bacon and cheese. Her was good. They have a great bakery case which I want to try out. My scone wasn't the greatest. But it was tasty with fresh blueberries. The ordering is also quirky with no signs to direct you. You have to place your order at the counter and somebody will bring your food to you. However, since she did not take the order she either ask everyone or you intercept your order. They could use those numbered table signs to fix this. Quirky but I would go again read more

Ordered a 2 egg and bacon on everything bagel. The bagel was not as good. It didn't have the chewy bagel texture like your typical bagels. It was soft and little on sweet side. Next time I will order just regular white bread. The egg and bacon were good though. read more

Was getting gas across the street at the Royal Farms wishing for somewhere to get a good breakfast (and that wasn't Royal Farm lol). Spotted this tiny place that looked like a local joint. Staff was super friendly and the prices were fantastic. I got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich that was frankly one of the best I've had for just over $5! Not doing that across the street for sure. They also had bakery items that all looked delicious. Fresh zucchini bread for $6.99 a loaf. Prices were very good. This place just rocketed to the top as one of my go to breakfast spots. The only thing I would complain about is that their hours don't extend into the evening. Great little ma and pa place to eat, which I find to be the best places for a down home meal. The portions are always more than I can finish in one sitting. The food is excellent. The service is beyond great. And I cannot forget their bakery goods......OMG outstanding. My favorite are the scones and cookies. And the cake slices are something that I take home to eat because the portion size is huge. read more

Oh so good. The hot turkey with 2 sides ( fresh cut fries!) and another side of your choice is the tops. Corned beef with Swiss is a huge sandwich. Prices are very reasonable and portions huge. I found Kelly's kitchen as a local breakfast spot and was excited to see pictures of a recent remodel- but unfortunately the picture is false. That was of a different restaurant completely. This place is very dated and dark inside- not terribly clean either. Food was alright- inexpensive. My daughter and I split the Kelly's breakfast. Waffle with two eggs, home fries, and bacon. Waffle looked great- they even added some sprinkles for my daughter which she loved. Home fries were cold and under seasoned. The bakery case looked great. I think I may return here if I'm in the area for baked goods to go, but I'd prefer to not dine here again. read more

This place has everything I want.I went 2 days ago around noon.I ordered the 3/4 pound(yes!3/4 pound)cheeseburger.I asked for lettuce,tomato,raw onion&mayo cooked medium.And it was perfect!And I love burgers. I think there are like 3 tiers of burgers.The lowly fast food slop burger.The fast casual burger like wayback,5 guys and Habit.And then theres the craft burger.Thats what this is! Its cooked on a char-broiler for that outdoor grill flavor,perfectly seasoned.Fresh condiments,butter toasted bun and melty cheese.It comes with fresh ripple chips and very crispy snappy pickle!I cant wait to go back! I love places like this.Those "mom&pop"places versus crap from an corporate dumpster like applebees or chilis.I wish them tons of success. p.s.I have also had their all day breakfast.It is HUGE!! People that work here are very polite. Food is nice it's like a home made bakery. Everything is reasonably priced. What more could you ask for? They get busy on Sunday mornings so don't be in a hurry but nothing too bad maybe a 10 min wait for food. Will definitely be back! read more

This is a new place for me and I have been back several times in the past few weeks. The food here is very good and the prices are amazing! I was looking for someplace to get a decent BLT for lunch and not only was it good and cheap - it came with chips and a pickle. Very tasty. The baked goods are also very good - so far, I have tried the cheesecake, the chocolate topped shortbread cookies and an awesome orange-cranberry muffin. The burgers are huge and fresh. So far, I have only been here for lunch, but the breakfast is very popular. I always call in my order, because they are always super busy during lunchtime which is a great sign. We found kellys by mistake one weekend a few years back and we have been eating here ever since. The Kellys breakfast is always the go to. My favorite is the waffle but that's French toast is good too. And my niece LOVES the chocolate chip pancakes! The kellys breakfast is pretty huge tho so if you aren't in the mood for something that big, the breakfast sandwiches are great too. And the pastries! At 12600 Eastern Avenue, Kelly's Kitchen & Bakery is a small mom &a pop style restaurant that has everything you can ask for from all day breakfast to custom cakes and desserts. The shrimp salad is outrageously good and Kelly and her dad George are very friendly, he often comes and sits with us while we're dining and my 7 year old loves him. I eat here so often that I can't just isolate one food to talk about because Kelly is OCDish about making sure that every dish she prepares is amazingly delicious! Shrimp wraps are a personal favorite of mine and the chicken tenders are a close second. But there is NOTHING on the menu that you find disappointing. So, stop reading this review and go get your Kelly's Kitchen on! read more

My wife wanted to meet somewhere for lunch, so I picked this spot which was pretty much a mid point for us. Pretty easy to find with lots of positive Yelp reviews. Pros: The actual meals were very good, and the lady working the counter was friendly. Breakfast all day is nice. Portions are large. Prices are low. Cons: The wait was unreasonable. There were only 3 tables occupied and it took just about 45 minutes to get our food. Plus our pastries seemed a bit soggy and there were flies in the display case. So, we probably won't be back, unless we called ahead and ordered carry out. It's not great for a sit-down restaurant with dim lighting and not legit table service. read more
