Usually, I get a deli sandwich and enjoy the food. But this time I got chicken tenders and fries. They must have burnt something in the oil because it had an over taste and flecks of being burnt. My wife and I travel from Dundalk to Ravage quite regularly . We normally call ahead that way when we get there our food is ready . Called today , 1/18/26 at 2:11 pm . Wife went in to get our order . After 30 minutes of waiting in the car . I called her and found out they gave our order to a Uber driver and were remaking our food . Wife said the cook was back there slamming pots and pans around . Made her feel uncomfortable . Hey this isn't our fault . After waiting for a while longer , I was getting ready to go in and get a refund and go somewhere else , she was walking out . I could tell by the look on her face she was pissed . Well so was I . It was now 3:08 , almost a full hour of waiting . No form of compensation or apology . She returned in the store to find out the owners name . The girl taking the order said his name was Cena and he was there . Nobody stepped forward to acknowledge my wife . I am EXTREMELY mad about this experience and not sure we're gonna continue to patronize this establishment . I spend too much money there to get this type of treatment . My husband read some good reviews on this place, so we decided to give it a go. It is located in a plaza at the end of the strip. Easy to find. It is a very unassuming carryout/dine-in deli. They do a healthy carryout business. The menu is loaded with goodness. Everything sounded like something you'd love to sample. The young man at the register could not have been more helpful and told us what the most popular item was... the cheesesteak sub. He said his personal favorite was the MD Crab Grilled Cheese. It has a blend of 4 cheeses, lump crab meat, and Old Bay Aioli. I knew I had to try it. They are generous with the crabmeat! I got it with a mixed whole grain bread. Out of this world delicious. I could only finish half. In the past, I have had versions of this that were greasy, not so with this 1. My husband opted for the large size Mobtown Classic sub. It was enormous, well stuffed. And when they say well stuffed, they mean it in the truest sense of the word. The sub roll was nice and fresh. He had them brown it, so it would be less wet. Half of that went home. Checked this place out for the first time last night with my husband. We located this establishment on instagram. We ordered 2 cheesesteaks, sweet potato fries and the El Cubano sandwich. All was delicious. Couple things though: fries were heavily sea salted & meat on the cheesesteaks were a little over seasoned as well. As an African American woman, I never say this so to be saying it means it was a bit much! All in all, food was delish and we would definitely return. Service was quick and staff were friendly. They even brought our food to our car as we waited outside due to covid and the temperature outside last night. Additional tip: the items showcased on their IG page are specials only. The Noble Pig is another favorite -the Soppressata and Pulled Pork just add a level of complexity to the savory/salty flavors & make this sandwich crave worthy! Speaking of crave worthy, the Duck fat fries are the fries to order. Order a large only if you have a house-full to feed. We've also had the Slow Cooked Beef Brisket sandwich that was very good. Great food and LARGE portions! This was my first time at Ravage Deli. I got an order for pickup and it took about 15 mins. There was a man w/ mask, sitting outside to take credit cards behind plexiglass, so no need to even go inside. Between my boyfriend and I, we got the Mile High Rueben, the Marylander, duck fat fries, and bacon/jalapeño Mac and cheese. All sandwiches and sides come in multiple sizes, including XL. We didn't get that size for anything but it was already huge! The Rueben was great! I got a large and I couldn't even eat half of a half! I order my Ruebens a little uniquely- I do half corned beef and half turkey which they were able to accommodate. The cheese was plentiful and marble rye was fresh. Only note would be the sandwich was a little "wet" but w/ sauerkraut and thousand island, that's not unexpected. Recommend napkins! My BF got the Marylander, also large. He loved it and said the roast beef and crab dip were both delicious. His only note would be that the crab dip was used as the sauce, and he would've liked some type of additional sauce as some beef pieces were dryer. The duck fat fries were a knockout!! Sometimes I don't like duck fat fried if they're too greasy or oily, but these were the item we fought over for sure. Topped w/ Parmesan and chives, crispy and plentiful, you don't want to miss out on these! Last but not least was the bacon jalapeño mac and cheese. We loved it! The cheese was more on the liquid Velveeta spectrum, but that's ok. We would try the other Mac and cheeses next time! Overall, everything was great and we'd definitely return. This little deli has a pickup window and a few tables for indoor dining. They also have an nice variety of sandwiches and other options on the menu. Just got done from visiting Ravage and they're doing things right. I wasn't even aware this place was around. We got 2 Philly cheesesteaks and a crab mac n cheese. There were a couple of orders in front of us, but the wait wasn't that long. Staff is very friendly and there's a chill vibe between them that I witnessed which made for good communication to prep for game day rush. We were first given the wrong order, but that was quickly corrected and we got cookies that are VERY good. Everyone was super apologetic and made sure we got the right order so we could dig in. Even got compliments on our Pokémon and Kirby masks lol. I loved the flavor of my Philly and I was super plain today with just provolone and onions. I liked that the meat was the texture you expect and nothing felt overcooked. The hoagie had a nice chew to it and held up great against the cheese and meat. The crab mac n cheese is a great portion size. I like the pasta that is used for it and the crab in it is good. I think my only thing was it could use some more salt. Well, it was actually the worse take out food I had in 10 years. All 18 wings were all different sizes with very little ice. The Dutch fries that used to he great were one big clump of greasy potatoes. I remembered their fries used to be great and the best in Perry Hall but tonight by far the worse. Person who answered the phone was friendly and patient (I asked a few possibly annoying questions and requested some modifications). My order was ready at the promised time for pickup. The cashier at the pickup window was also very friendly and welcoming. FYI they take Apple Pay. Took my food order to one of my favorite local breweries that permits BYOF, i.e., Ale Craft Brewery, and enjoyed my meal with a pint of porter. This is my go to spot! The menu is absolutely amazing and I have an extremely hard time narrowing down my choices because all of the food is that good! It's a very small deli with minimal seating but I promise you it's worth it, it's definitely best to go during the down times. All of their bread is fresh. The baked goods, meats and cheese are from local farms and Boars Head and trust me when I say you can taste the difference. Everything my husband and I eat here no matter how busy it is, the owners and workers are very attentive and they keep the store very clean. It is somewhat expensive to eat here but it is definitely worth it..especially if you consider how fresh the food is and the large portions. Service was excellent. My kids and I had our first visit today and they were very accommodating to my picky eater, found something & made it special. The kids raved about the creamy Mac and cheese and loved the dash of old bay in the recipe. Maryland crab soup also got a big thumbs up. Top of the list for me was the chicken salad. I've been to Ravage Deli twice now, and their sandwiches are SO good. The first time I went I got the Marylander which was roast beef, crab dip, and cheddar. My second visit I got the El Cubano which was a pretty traditional Cuban sandwich. Their sandwiches come in regular or large. I have gotten the regular size both times and if you're trying to eat "normal" portions I think these sandwiches are definitely shareable or enough to save half for another meal. That being said, both times I've been I finished my whole sandwich :P They also have duck fat fries! I think I've tried better duck fat fries downtown, but they are still very good. So, to start off, let me say this: I saw some two star reviews on here talking about price. What? It's 8.50 to 10.00 for most things on the menu. The things that are more expensive than that include a Bison burger, which is pretty much what you'd expect to pay. The lunchmeat is Boar's Head, which is great and known for being pricey. The other stuff is usually select cuts of meat, hell the burger is from a local beef farm (Roseda). It's more than worth the money. The fact that somebody said they'd rather go to Royal Farms means they just don't get it. That's fine, for them, but for me, I can taste the difference. Okay, so now that my rant is done, on to my actual review (not that the stuff I wrote wasn't a review): This place is great! Like I said above, select choices of meats. They also seem to buy their own veggies from local sources when in-season (their tomatoes on their sandwiches are always grrrrreat). The prices are what you'd expect for a place of this quality. The service? I don't really know - we ordered delivery at work and so all we know is that. The delivery guy is nice and loves coming to our office. So far I've had had the Roseda farms burger, the chicken salad on croissant, and duck fat fries (with parmesan). All of these were exactly as described and tasted amazing. They were worth the money. I ordered my food Sunday at 2:00. Got confirmation of the order at 2:05. the email stated my order will be ready in 15 minutes. Got to the restaurant at 2:25. We did not receive our food until 3:10. I saw several people come in and receive their food after a short wait. The worker told people that came in to order that the wait will be 20-25 minutes. I waited over an hour food wings and a wrap. To get charged $85 for dinner for four people at a sub shop is ridiculous. There are far better choices around the Perry Hall area. When I say they have the best burger and wings in the area, I don't say that lightly! This is the second time I've had the Kobe Beef burger from @ravagedeli. It's a Half Pound American Wagyu Beef Burger( I got it rare), with House Made Berkshire Bacon, I chose smoked Gouda as my cheese, Caramelized Onions, Shredded Lettuce, and Tomato all on a Brioche Bun, and i asked for some mayo. Like the perfect burger! My wife got the sour dough turkey melt, which I tried of course! Absolutely amazing! Now wings as most of y'all know I take very serious! Since I do keto, I find myself always ordering the same items from carry out spots: cheesesteak without bread or burger without the bun. I've had many a breadless cheesesteak in my day, but this one was hands down the best I've ever eaten. The meat was cooked perfectly and had a little char to it, but not too much (not burnt). I could have eaten 2 bowls full of this meat lol! And it was very tender and well seasoned. My companion got a turkey sandwich and the sourdough bread was buttered and toasted to perfection. Before Covid I would have given Ravage 5 stars but during and after Covid this place has become a real disappointment. Their cheese steaks use to be the best anywhere now they are nothing more the grease soaked sub rolls with not so good steak.
