Baked goods - A bakery display case contains an assortment of baked items including cookies, muffins, scones, and pastries, each labeled with handwritten descriptions in different colors. Behind the case, a staff member with a headscarf is seen working, with kitchen equipment and shelves in the background. The scene captures a busy bakery environment with a focus on the baked goods available for sale.

Baltimore Bakery Crawl stop #5 of seven places! My best friend, her college bestie, her husband, and I spent Sunday 2/2 exploring different Baltimore bakeries. I tried one thing here, so this review is based on that! I love a vegan, gluten-free and soy free bakery. One of my favorite spots in my city is similar to this. I wanted to try more, but was feeling pretty sugared out by stop five. One of us got the hibiscus lemonade and really enjoyed it. She used to work at a gluten-free/vegan bakery so was eager to try the almond jam cookie. I'm not a big jam person, but still enjoyed the cookie. Everyone in our group really loved it. It's a tinier shop, but there are window bar seats that fit about two people each (a total of four can be seated). The cashier bakers were extremely kind and helpful with suggestions on what to try. I'd be excited to return and try more.

Display case variety - A glass display case showcases an assortment of baked goods including cookies, scones, and pastries. Handwritten labels on the glass identify items such as blueberry, cinnamon bun, strawberry glaze donuts, lemon poppy, and morning glory. The background reveals a bakery interior with shelves holding containers, utensils, and additional baked goods, along with a person partially visible on the left side.

This place is perfect for people with celiac disease like me! Everything was so good! I can't recommend it enough. None of that gross dense gluten free/vegan food. Everything was fresh and tasty and somehow fluffy. The service was great. Space is a bit small though.

Another check in! This time I ordered s'more bar and got impressed again. It has graham cracker bottom, and thick, smooth, rich and creamy chocolate on the top. Honestly it is one of the creamiest chocolate layer I have tried in a dessert. It's not grainy nor bitter, but very thick and pleasant. Within the graham base there are chocolate chips as well, so basically every single bit I can have some amount chocolate, which is beyond satisfaction for a chocolate fan like me. Would check back every time when I'm in Baltimore. Also people are very patient and friendly here. Love the service. They also have dog treats. It has several seats, but most people grab and go. There are seats outside of the shop to sit down and eat.

Anyone looking for a vegan and gluten free bakery, Harmony is the place! I made the short drive to check this place out and it did not disappoint. I got their Kale Caesar Salad, a carrot muffin, and a cupcake. The cashew butter dressing in the salad was simply delicious. The baked goods are thicker in texture but it doesn't deter from how good they tasted. It's pretty small inside but quaint. Just enough room for some people to order and take things to go. I'll definitely be making more of an effort to come back and try their other menu items.

Harmony Bakery is by far my favorite bakery in the area. It's about 40 minutes from me, but I love to make the trip to stock up on their amazing tasty treats and savory dishes. We first discovered Harmony Bakery several years ago when looking for a bakery that would be able to make a wedding cake safe for me and any of our wedding guests allergies. They did an amazing job with it, it tasted delicious, and the presentation was BEAUTIFUL. My favorite things from Harmony (other than our wedding cake), have to be their cappuccino Oreo, tomato pie, and butternut squash and spinach curry quiche, and their mushroom and spinach tart. It's very small inside, but they get the job done, and I hope they can one day add in another location that is closer to HoCo so I can come much more often.

'I've been meaning to try this spot for some time now but I'm always in Hampden after they've closed. Got here around 3 on a Saturday afternoon and they were busy. A small spot with a couple of window seats and outdoor seating. Surprisingly they still had a good selection of items-it was almost closing time. Since it was my first time, I had a few questions and a kind lady patiently answered them. Got a few items for trying. Spinach/Mushroom Tart-flaky crust with Cashew cheese and caramelized onions, Potato/Onion Galette-Butternut Squash and caramelized onions. Both savory tarts were excellent. Ordered some sweet items also. Shortbread Almond Jam-wow! The Rosemary Cashew Biscotti-unlike any Biscotti I've ever had! The Samoa Bar was recommended and is one of the most popular items -rightfully so-delicious and crave worthy! Service was friendly and patient. The best part is I would have never known they are Vegan/Gluten free-no flavor sacrifices here. As with all Bakeries, get here early for the best selection. Don't miss the Samoa Bar and Shortbread Almond Jam!

I feel like I could write paragraphs about this place (in the best way possible) but I'll keep it short and sweet and just say, do yourself a favor, AND GO. Rotating dishes/pastries, amazing quality of food/drink, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. You cannot go wrong here!! Again, JUST GO!

For anyone with dietary restrictions, Harmony Bakery is a godsend. Even if you don't normally eat vegan, GF, etc., you will probably find something to love here. My sister is dairy free and I'm gluten free so I knew Harmony would be a great place for us to try out together. The inside is tiny with just enough room to place an order and a few small stools if you want to eat inside. It smells absolutely amazing inside and the display case has a variety to choose from. I even spotted some mac n cheese and other tasty treats in the fridge. I chose a butternut squash and spinach tart plus a cinnamon roll. The tart was hefty! Very thick crust with plenty of butternut squash on top. It was seasoned with curry or something similar and tasted absolutely amazing warmed up. The cinnamon roll was just OK though - it was extremely thick and difficult to eat. My sister got the vegan quiche and a cookie and she really enjoyed both! I'll probably grab a cookie or something similar for dessert next time instead of the cinnamon roll. The presentation of some of the items isn't great (lumpy empanadas and other misshapen creations), but if you can look past the visual imperfections, the flavor is great. I will definitely be back. It's so nice to have a place nearby that I can enjoy my favorite carb loaded treats without worrying about gluten.

This all vegan business is such a treasure! They have an incredible variety of savory and sweet options. When you enter the bakery the inside space is tight. There are a few spots available for indoor dining, and there are many more outdoor seating options. If you want something savory they have quiches, pizzas, and grab and go salads. They will gladly warm up a pizza or savory item so you can eat it hot and fresh on the spot. For dessert they offer muffins, donuts, brownies, cookies, and salty/sweet bars. I purchased the Samoa bar and the balance of salty and sweet was absolute perfection. It had almonds, chocolate, and coconuts and I loved that it was decadent without making me feel sick from eating too much. I highly recommend this treat. To wash my meal down I got the hibiscus tea. It was a perfect drink for a warm afternoon. I would definitely purchase again. While I was leaving the bakery I noticed a preordered cake with stunning decorations. If you need to find a vegan cake for a special occasion this would be a good spot to order from. Next time I visit I need to try their savory items. Everything looked fantastic and I cannot wait to explore more of the menu.

I came to harmony based on a recommendation from a friend and I feel lucky to have found it. I ordered a Samoa and it was delicious. A slight brown butter, maple syrup, and salt taste laid the ground work for the chocolate and coconut. Every bite was better than the last. It was by far the best sweet treat I've had in a very long time. I can't say enough good things about my experience here or the quality of the sweet options. This place is a gem. A sweet sweet gem.

Upon a referral from a friend, decided to check this place out. We were still kinda full from Ekiben run so we sampled Samoa Bar and the Good Karma Bar. Between the two, I really enjoyed the Samoa Bar. It had a bit of coconut which I do like.

    Isn't this gorgeous!?!

Amazing bakery! I've gotten sweet treats from here multiple times and most recently had them make my birthday cake. It's been awesome having a bakery that I can eat anything they have. And my birthday cake got great reviews from all my gluten-eating friends too!

An adorable little bakery with a very friendly staff. They're really busy on weekends and near opening, but off hours you can chat about all their goods! Everything here is both vegan and gluten free. If you tolerate gluten, I can't recommend the bagels. They have the cakey texture of a loaf, which is almost inevitable when you don't have gluten to work with. Otherwise, though, I've greatly enjoyed all I've had here. The Samoa bars in particular are wide and indulgent. The rotating selection tends on the sweet side, but is certainly fun and bright. Seating is exclusively outdoors, so come on a nice day to fully relax with your pastries!

Earl grey cake - A rectangular slice of Earl Grey cake with white frosting and a decorative swirl of cream on top is shown in a clear plastic container. The cake appears moist with a light-colored frosting, and the container is placed on a gray surface outdoors, with a blurred stone wall in the background.

The service was on point, everyone was very nice, and the noise level was fine. Here is something I literally have never experienced anywhere else: My sister has a couple of food allergies and she gave the waitress a piece of paper where she listed out what she can and cannot have. A few minutes later, a lovely young woman (I think she said she was a manager) came out and discussed the list with my sister in detail, just to make sure the restaurant got it exactly right. My sister almost cried! As far as timing goes: They don't take reservations, but they have an efficient system -- when you arrive, they take down your name and phone number, tell you how long the wait will be, and then text you when it's your turn. They told us 40 minutes but it turned out to be only 20, so it's good we hadn't wandered too far away. Next time we're in Baltimore, we'll definitely be back.

A friend and I shared the Collard Green Caesar (chopped collard greens, pickled red onion, boiled peanuts, cornbread croutons, hot sauce Caesar dressing, and Parmesan) and 2 pieces of fried chicken (served with a biscuit, pickled, and honey butter). You aren't going to find black bean burgers and cauliflower wings here (not that there is anything wrong with those). Instead, you will find small plates like Cannellini and Pan (bread with white beans) and Batata Harra (spicy Lebanese potatoes). Soups like Roasted Pumpkin. Mains like Steak, roasted veggies and Polenta in gravy. Pizzas like Meat Lovers with vegan bacon, pepperoni, sausage and spicy Italian sausage. There is plenty more dishes I just named the ones we ended up ordering. My wife started with a mocktail that included coconut and was meant to taste like a Creamsicle popsicle. Incredibly, it did. I was intrigued by a number of lattes but considering it was night and I had already reached my coffee quota for the day, I abstained. After that, we ordered and received our small plates and soup. The Cannellini and Pan was incredible. I don't know how to describe the bread. It looked like pita but it didn't taste or feel like any pita I've had before. The beans were flavorful, with a hint of spice. Speaking of spice, the Batata Harra was very spicy. Good, but definitely not for someone who can't handle spice. The soup was good but didn't really blow me away like everything else. Next came our mains, Steak and Polenta and the Meat Lovers Pizza. A lot of the pizza meats and cheeses are made in house at Oleum giving this pizza a unique taste all to itself. The crust was great, the meats were good with a hint of spiciness and the cheese was not too much and flowed with the rest of the pizza. The steak was a locally made vegan steak that cut and looked like real steak (I didn't quite have the same texture as I remember actual steak). Paired with polenta, mushrooms and Brussels and topped with gravy, this dish was incredible. To end it all, I took a carrot cake to go. Also excellent. The wait staff was incredible. Two different servers and the owner stopped at our table to check on us. Oleum is not cheap. This meal, with tip, was close to $150 dollars. But the quality and taste (and amount of leftovers) made the price more palatable. Will definitely be back!

Both times, the service was impeccable at the bar, and while being formally seated. The salad dressing was a bit skimpy and the croutons were extremely hard. I asked for some honey to add to the sauciness of the dressing, which in hindsight, I should have just asked for more dressing. I've had vegan ceasar salad dressing before that somehow mimicked that anchovie-taste, which is what I expected here. For the soup, I had my mouth ready for a sweet savory taste, but instead it was salty savory which altogether changed my viewpoint on how this soup can be made. I asked for chili oil to give it a little pop. Onto the breakfast burrito - a sight to see! I'm not a breakfast burrito girl, but a friend let me taste her leftovers and I thought I HAD to have my own. At first bite, I can say it was a whole YES. My only ask was more seasoning, and to have cooked the tofu down just a bit more so it didn't give the consistency of a runny egg. I asked for sriracha, chili oil and ketchup to seal the deal. I highly suggest offering at least one of these sauces/oil as a free accoutrement, instead of charging per oz. Ambiance is always warm and inviting. The dark wood gives a homelike vibe and the music is on point. I will definitely be back for the breakfast burrito in hopes of more fun sauces on the side!
