16 dollar Margarita DELICIOUS definitely shareable

I have been here twice! This is officially my favorite Mexican place in MD! The tortilla chips are warm and fresh and the salsa that comes with are amazing. It legit makes you want to make your own, or at least ask if they sell it. I landed both times on the carne asada fajitas! Amazing the amount of both meat and veggies! The cactus is delicious yes Cactus! Fransico was our sever today, he was awesome! My hubby got a burrito and some empanadas to share. Amazing I will definitely be coming here as long as we live in Maryland. The fajita are definitely shareable . Great location great service

The food is so good! Even just the fajitas veggie mix we ordered on the side. Our server was attentive and friendly. And, it was actually a nice day to eat outside. Sometimes I forget how good this place is but I love being reminded. This was a first for breakfast though.

This was the second visit to the Severna Park location by our women's group. This location has limited seating. This time, the manager refused to do separate checks as they had done for us before. We did have to ask them to turn the music down, because it was deafening and we could not hear to talk. I ordered two chicken street tacos, which were tasty & a good value. My friends ordered the empanadas and a Burrito bowl. One person ordered queso with ground beef and asked that it come out with the rest of the food, but they brought that out first. Even thought it was not busy when we arrived at 11:30, it was hard to get any attention to order drinks, to place our order, to request a box, and to ask for the bill. We had to wait & wave someone down. The staff is friendly enough, and there were three front of the house staff there, but no one ever came back to see if we we needed anything. I think they are geared more for the carry out business.

I have liked the food here for the most part, mostly out of convenience, but all in all it's good. Last time ordered carry out and found a piece of metal in the quesadilla. I let them know, but was ignored. So won't be going back.

This location is one of several in the Annapolis area. This service location is in the Severna Park area. The service and food at this locale is excellent. 5-star. The service is spectacular as in attentive and efficient. The food is first rate and consists of tasty, sizeable portions. This locale for this chain is worth a visit. Go and enjoy. **We rate this type of restaurant for what it is where it is. We've found better 5-star experiences in other geographic areas but, this assertion in no way undermines our assessment of this operation in this area.

This little Mexican spot may be small, but it packs a big punch! Inside it is very colorful. The Al Pastore tacos are incredible perfectly marinated, tender and full of flavor. The fresh toppings and warm tortillas make each bite delicious. The service is just as impressive, friendly, welcoming, and always eager to make sure you have a great experience. If you're looking for authentic delicious tacos and a cozy setting, this place is hidden gem.

Came here last week for early dinner. The interior is on the smaller end with under 10 tables. I ordered a margarita with splash of oj and it was good. For food we ordered the carne asada fries and Baja fish tacos. The fries were great. However, the Baja fish tacos missed the mark for me because they weren't crunchy batter wise. It was kind of soggy and fishy. When we first came in, there was only a few tables seated but by the time we got our food the restaurant was full. The server did the best she could do but seemed like they need to add at least another server to the schedule because she was the only one taking orders and making the drinks. Definitely want to try their edgewater location since others seem to rave about that location. Definitely decent Mexican food for the area though, will try other items next time.

Great food--tacos, burrito, fajita--and drinks. Great service too. Fairly small and noisy, but okay atmosphere. We'll be back.

I had heard about a seafood place in Severna Park, but I wasn't in the mood for seafood. That's when I came across Betty Lou's. As soon as I looked at the food photos, I knew that's where we were headed. It was about a 20 minute ride from Annapolis not bad at all. Betty Lou's is located in a shopping center. There were a few cars in the lot when we pulled up, but I wasn't sure if they were there for the restaurant or other businesses nearby. When we walked in, there was one person sitting at the bar. We asked if we could sit there, and the bartender (don't remember her name) was very pleasant and welcoming. She thanked us for coming in, and when I mentioned I found the place on Yelp, she explained that everything is made fresh to order. They have an excellent selection of craft drinks on the menu, the assortment of cocktails and wines that look very good. My wife ordered an iced tea, and I had the Jimmy Red Old Fashioned. The drink looked fantastic, and she took her time carefully measuring each ingredient. That's how cocktails are supposed to be made balanced and flavorful, not just tasting like straight liquor. If I wanted that, I'd just order bourbon neat. For lunch, my wife ordered the meatloaf with collard greens and roasted potatoes. I had already decided on the chicken pot pie after seeing it online. I did find it a little strange they don't offer mashed potatoes as a side with meatloaf, that would've made it a home run in my opinion. When the food arrived, everything looked excellent. The pot pie was larger than I expected compared to the pictures, and the meatloaf was a generous portion as well. After the first bite, I can honestly say it was one of the best chicken pot pies I've had loaded with tender chicken, carrots, onions, celery, and a rich, flavorful gravy. And the pastry crust? The BEST I've ever had. It was big enough that I had leftovers for dinner. My wife's meatloaf was tender and flavorful, and the collard greens were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The roasted potatoes were just okay again, mashed would've put it over the top but that's just personal preference. She also had plenty leftovers for dinner. The food was great, the décor was nicely done, and the service was excellent. If this place were closer to home, it would definitely be a regular spot for us. We need something like this down in Calvert County. Overall, if you're looking for a great meal and well-crafted drinks, Betty Lou's is absolutely worth the drive even if you live a little ways away.

On multiple occasions, we had to ask for basic things like utensils because they were forgotten, and servers didn't check on the table as often as they should have. The food also took longer than expected to come out, which felt unnecessary given the type of restaurant. My main issue, though, is the pricing. The food is very expensive for what you get, and the prices don't feel reasonable or justified. On the plus side, the drinks are actually really good. Overall, it's not a bad place, but between the slow service and high prices, it's hard to say it's worth it.

I initially placed my order on GrubHub, but found out once I arrived at the establishment that they do not partner or work with GrubHub, which is unfortunate because you're still able to order from them on GrubHub. It was easy to cancel my order so I could get a refund and I just ordered with the gentleman at the bar. The service was quick and friendly hence two stars. I ordered the flautas which are rolled chicken tacos that are fried and topped with lettuce, cheese, crema, pickled jalapeños, and pickled red onions as well as an order of guacamole that comes with chips. The flautas were just ok as most of their flavor came from the pickled vegetables as the chicken tasted unseasoned. The guacamole was old with a lot of brown on top with very soft onions and tomatoes, which tells me that it wasn't made today, even though their menu states that it's made fresh daily. I scraped the brown part off to try and salvage the parts that were fresh as I really wanted to try it and I was starving. The guacamole was very underseasoned as the only thing I could taste in it was the avocado. The chips were stale. My meal came to a total of $28.62 with tax. $14 for the guacamole and $13 for the flautas. Needless to say I won't be back.

I'm not sure if there was supposed to be chicken in it, didn't find any. It was corn, beans, tomatoes and a thin stock. Soup was lukewarm, not hot. Dressing on top looked attractive. Chips were the best part. I got the drunken shrimp tacos which I expected more from. Three small tacos and a small lukewarm serving of rice. Platter could have been filled out with beans, chips and a heavier serving of condiments on the tacos instead of the barren looking plate for $16.50 We also got the Queso Fresco Chicken Tacos... bland overcooked chicken. Just underwhelming for a $48 quick lunch (40 + tip) that left us unimpressed with quantity and quality. I'll try this place again some busy summer day when the margaritas are flowing and the kitchen is busy. Perhaps this was just because we went on a slow winter day, but I expected more. It looks like a fun bar on a crowded day. Plenty of room and festive decorations.
