We had a lovely lunch here on a terrible rainy day. They have a great patio, which is probably worth coming back for. Everything we tried was tasty. The posole was excellent and almost as good as the kind your favorite aunt makes. The refried beans were creamy perfection. The tortillas felt handmade and the barbacoa was authentic. Even the brunch burger was a win. And of course, the margaritas, mezcalitas, and micheladas were excellent. The guacamole was a little one note, but the chips were thick and crispy and salty. Stopped in one weekend afternoon and they were packed! Luckily I was still able to grab a seat at the bar. I typically like to try out spots street tacos to get a sense of the place. Their menu was also a bit limited, so that was what seemed like the best thing to try for the first visit. I grabbed the 3 street tacos (chicken, steak, and chorizo). They were just okay. Had a group lunch here yesterday and I cannot say enough good things about this place!! Not only was the food outstanding, but our server Jennifer was also top-notch! She took such great care of us. There were 9 of us ranging in age from 62 to 88 and she could not have been nicer dealing with us old folks. The food was very good, and I was able to have it without cilantro which is a big deal to me as it tastes like soap to me. I tried the Guava drink, the sorrel, and the Texcoco burrito -- everything was bursting with flavor and so fresh. My girlfriend ordered the shrimp fajitas and loved them -- they came sizzling hot and well-seasoned. The drinks were refreshing and unique, and the portions were generous (although more pricey). Lovely spot for cocktails and appetizers. Def recommend this as a date spot as the restaurant is small inside. There is outside seating available which can be nice depending on the weather. After reading some of the reviews, I was a little skeptical about visiting Lime and Salt. I'm so glad I threw caution to the wind and stopped by to have a bite to eat. I met up with my BFF and we were so excited to try the food and drinks! Located within a strip of store fronts, Lime and Salt was a very unexpected surprise for the palate.They have outdoor seating, as well as indoor and take-out options. The restaurant is small in size, but it's big on flavor. We were seated promptly and checked out the menu options. Our server was Lauren and she was excellent! Great customer service and very attentive! I started off the night with the chips and guacamole and the Meche-Rae drink. Now one might say I ordered this drink because it had a piece of my name, which is absolutely true, however, I also got it because it consisted of a mix of a margarita and sangria. Absolutely delicious! The Guac was really good and fresh too! For my main entree, I ordered the tinga enchiladas and a Al Pastor taco! The food was very good and flavorful! I loved each and every bite! My BFF loved her food, as well. The restaurant can get pretty loud because of its size, but it wasn't to the point that we couldn't hear each other. The restaurant is a neighborhood favorite and is literally always packed and patrons always seem to be in good spirits especially when dining in the outdoor area. The to go food did not disappoint and left my boyfriend and I stuffed and happy. Below includes our review of our food: Steak Burrito - 5/5 tasty and filling! Shrimp Tacos - 5/5 delicious and a nice bang for your buck! Chicken Tinga Taco - 4/5 a large and flavorful taco but the chicken was a tad dry Barbacoa Taco - 3/5 a decent taco but nothing exciting. The shell also became soggy in transport and I love less than 10 minutes away. Guacamole - 3/5 flavorful but at least 1/3 was brown so I questioned the freshness Black Beans - 5/5 some of the best I've ever had! On the plus side, their margaritas are on point--both the spicy and the strawberry versions hit the right balance of sweet, tart, and tequila kick. For food, the al pastor, tinga, and carne asada street tacos were the clear winners. Each had plenty of spice, which made them fiery but downright delicious. Where things slipped was the overall experience. Service was fine but nothing memorable, and the atmosphere felt a bit rushed for the prices they charge (With cars rushing by in the street). Nothing was bad, it just didn't quite reach that "must-return" level. I'm originally from Texas so Mexican food is a passion of mine and when I found out this place was closer to my house than our normal Mexican spot, I was really excited to try it out! We went on a Friday evening after work around 5:30pm. Parking was a bit of a pain. The restaurant is located next to a strip of businesses that all share a small parking lot so if you don't get there early, you will have a hard time finding a spot. We ordered the horchata and la Fresca margarita. Both were delicious but the horchata was a bit sweeter than I would have liked. For appetizer we ordered the chips and salsa and the chile con queso. The salsa was okay but the queso was almost inedible. It was a weird texture and was bland. Would not order again. For dinner we had the compadres burrito and the chicken fajitas. The burrito was huge! Enough for two meals easily. It was filled with tasty, flavorful barbacoa and carnitas, cheese, and rice and I enjoyed it. My husband said the fajitas were decent but not the best he's ever had. Overall, not a bad experience but we probably won't be back. The spot is located off to the side , definitely might miss it, if unfamiliar with the area . Parking is tight but convenient . Today I had the steak quesadilla- it was very tasty, but I was disappointed at how greasy it was. How greasy was it? Well, there was a puddle of grease on the plate when it was served and it was hard to eat neatly because the layers slipped and contents fell out. Service, as always, was good. I love the outside patio seating option, it is a draw for me, even though it is right next to the Piney Orchard 'raceway'. Today we needed a quick lunch before leaving Baltimore. We were crabbed out and decided on Mexican. Lime and Salt looks nice when we entered, and we were promptly seated. Our server came over to get our drinks after sitting for 10minutes. I asked for a Diet Coke and 3 waters. She said Come, and I corrected her and she repeated Diet Coke. After about 5 minutes our drinks came. We were ready to order our food. The server seemed very unfriendly and almost annoyed to have e to serve us for some reason. I got a combo with pork tamale and and ground beef enchilada. Two people shared a combo with a tamale and some kind of pepper. The 4th ordered shrimp quesadillas. Our food came out in about 15min. The tamale was ok, little dry. We weren't expecting it to spicy hot with the sauce on top. But they were decent. The quesadilla were a little bland... mediocre. My wife liked her pepper dish. Sorry can't remember the name. The enchilada was awful. The ground beef almost tasted like it had chemicals in it or the beef was bad. My wife spit it out... literally. I didn't finish it. The server never came around to check how the orders were, but I did have to flag her down and get a Diet Coke... she still had brought a regular coke out even after we corrected her during the ordering process. My drink was dry halfway through lunch. Never filled. I had to flag her down after waiting for 15-20min to grab the check. Just terrible service and very mediocre food. The experience was not good. My friend and I ordered two baja burritos, but they only brought out one because she thought we ordered one to split. The burrito was pretty good, but not amazing. The margarita was good. I just didn't feel blown away by this place, and thought the prices were a little steep. The service here was great. James was our server and he was on top of things. We got chicken quesadillas, lamb quesadillas, churro donuts, and queso with chorizo. The parking lot is shared with other businesses on the strip but it is about 20 spots. The parking is either 15 min or 2 hr spots. The lamb quesadillas was supposed to be a birria quesadilla but it wasn't. It was just a lamb quesadilla with the consommé on the side. If you are looking for a real deal Birria quesadilla you won't find it here. The donuts were good enough and the cinnamon ice cream was great. The queso was barely pliable because it isn't like a sauce that was made with cheese it is just a dish a melted cheese and then meat was sat on top. I would get this again. We came here for late lunch/early dinner. The food was good, it wasn't the best I've had but definitely not bad. The service was a bit lacking. Our server wasn't busy but kept getting distracted on his phone and left us waiting quite a few times. There were employees all over, either on their phones or just paying attention to the customers that they knew. Boy, am I glad that she extended the invite, Lime and Salt was amazing! An all around great experience I arrived before my friend did, so I ordered the Strawberry Mojito which was very good! It was strong enough without being overpowering. It was so good, that I order another when my friend arrived. For my entree, I had the Caesar Salad without the pepitas. The salad was rather sizable, filling and refreshing! For a girl who is obsessed with all things salads, this was one of the best salads that I've had. I visited Lime and Salt for the first time this past weekend. It was a really nice day, so we sat in their outdoor seating area. I got there when it wasn't too busy, but it slowly got busy within an hour, and as a result, the waiter wasn't as attentive as time went by. We started out with ordering nachos, and these were amazing. I definitely recommend them. I also got the red sangria, which was needed for such a warm day. The nachos were pretty filling, so I only ordered one shrimp taco to eat as my main. Even though I was full, I saw a pic of their tres leches on their yelp page, so I had every intent of ordering it before I even got there. I didn't see a dessert menu, but we just asked the waiter for the tres leches and she brought it to us. It was such a huge serving of cake! Ordered the wings, 8 pc @ $16. For two dollars per wing I expected a fresher product. Ordered the Fundido with chorizo which quickly cooled to a hard stretchy plastic. Thankfully they replaced it with a regular queso with chorizo, also very powdery in texture. Witnessed one worker drop a dish towel on the floor then pick it up and wipe down the condiment station without rinsing it off.
