Our server was nice and asked us all the questions regarding each of our orders (how spicy, light vs dark meat, what kind of protein). The food was pretty good. For an Italian Caribbean fusion restaurant, the flavors were pretty good. My rasta pasta had a good sauce that was creamy, buttery, and had a hit of zest (I opted for medium spice) but I think I could have handled more. My drink was the Copper Calypso which had your choice of spirit (vodka or rum), mango juice, and ginger beer. It was almost a take on a monitor if it came with mint leaves. Prices were a little higher than I want. The portions were pretty good, but I would have ordered more if the prices agreed with my wallet (lol) Over all, still a great experience!

We…read moremet my sister and her husband standing outside of the restaurant because there is no waiting area inside the restaurant. The decor is really cute inside and we were seated right away. My cousin and his girlfriend showed up shortly after and someone came to pour water. They let you know as soon as you're seated that there is a 90 minute time limit for the table and it starts as soon as the waitress arrives. We ordered lemon pepper wings, codfish fritters and jerk chicken bruschetta for appetizers. The wings were delicious and hot out of the oven. The fritters were good, but thin, and didn't have much saltfish in it. The bruschetta was nothing to write home about. For entrees we got jerk salmon, jerk chicken, oxtail lasagna, lambchops and 2 orders of braised short ribs. 2 people received their food at least 10 minutes before everyone else. If you're going to impose a time limit, your kitchen and wait staff need to be on point, or the timer shouldn't start until after everyone receives their food. The jerk salmon was very well cooked, but hardly seasoned. The oxtail lasagna was like regular lasagna, but instead of ground beef, they used oxtail and it had bechamel sauce instead of marinara. It was also very cheesy. It wasn't bad, but at $36 I would have expected more. The lambchops were out of this world. Very well seasoned and the gravy was finger licking good, but you only get 3 per order. My cousin didn't let me try his jerk chicken, but he said it wasn't bad. To note, a lot of reviews said the rice and peas weren't good, but we must've came on a good rice day because our rice was good. For dessert we got bread pudding, rass prince, tiramisu and flour-less chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was too thick and the texture of the mousse in the rass prince wasn't that great. The tiramisu and bread pudding were good though. This was the first time I've been to a restaurant where the waitress didn't come back to check on us mid meal. No one could order a second drink and we had to ask a random person passing about getting our water refilled. The manager came by before dessert to ask how was dinner and we had to ask him for water (since it still wasn't filled) and for a dessert menu. At their price point, I would expect better service, but since 18% gratuity (and 20% for parties bigger than 6) is automatically added there isn't any incentive for the wait staff to do better.

Like if they are doing it clock-wise, you can't switch giving orders with the person after you. I thought that was funny because when the orders came, they still had to ask "who's who." Anyway, overall would reco for a mall area. Jambalaya was a hit - white, brown or pasta and the meat was generous. I'd say most servings are pretty generous. Fair kids meal pricing too, with usual crayons and activity paper menu. If the server take nice group picture I would have rated 6! J/k. Only reason it's 4 is because I don't feel the servers have the "right" energy for that day. I would have understand if it was one of them but both of them were almost nonchalant. LOL!

And the vegan options? Shockingly good. Thanks to the Gardein chick'n plant‑based options, there are actually numerous vegan dishes to choose from--you're not stuck with the sad "token vegan entrée" or piecing together a meal from sides. It's real variety with real flavor. And bonus: they don't cross‑contaminate. The vibe hits that perfect sweet spot between sports bar and local pub--lively, comfortable, and never chaotic. Staff stays on top of everything, too. Drinks refilled, plates cleared, questions answered... they're attentive without hovering. And the table‑side ordering system is killer. It makes the whole experience smoother, faster, and honestly kind of fun. No waiting around, no flagging anyone down--you're in control. Yard House nails the combo of great food, great service, and great atmosphere. It's the kind of place you walk out of thinking, "Yep, we're coming back."

Unfortunately, my recent visit ended on a sour note that I can't ignore. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken and was enjoying it until I bit down on something sharp. A bone fragment had made its way into my dish and cut my gums. Not a pleasant experience by any stretch. I calmly handed the piece to the bartender and flagged the issue. To their credit, the staff was attentive and immediately asked if I'd like to order something else. I appreciated the gesture and ordered the short rib meal to go. Here's where things went sideways. When the bill arrived, the short rib was on it. Given the circumstances, the implication had been clear, the replacement meal would be taken care of. I asked to speak with the manager (Cio) to clarify. Rather than owning the situation, the manager offered a flat 15% discount. On a meal I ordered because I found a bone in my food that drew blood.I declined the short rib entirely. Look, accidents happen in kitchens. What separates good restaurants from great ones is how they recover. A 15% discount after a guest is injured by your food isn't recovery. It's a miss. The ambience is nice. The food has real potential. But until management understands what genuine hospitality looks like when things go wrong, I'll be taking my appetite elsewhere.
