We had a nice experience at David's Restaurant & Bar. The cocktails at the bar were very good, and the bartenders were especially friendly and welcoming throughout the evening. The calamari was tasty and perfectly crispy. We also tried the octopus dish, which had good flavor, though I personally would have enjoyed a little more octopus and fewer fillers like tomatoes and peppers. Wanted something different for brunch after church on Sunday. I jump on my trusty Yelp to get recommendations. I was excited about David's after reading the Yelp reviews and then going to David's website to see what would be served at brunch. The Good: Parking was easy in lot A of Arundel Mills on the hotel side of the casino. The restaurant itself was really cute. Open, bright and airy...it kind of looked like a magazine picture. The cocktail shrimp were good...you can't really mess that up. Everything else: I was really disappointed at the food, the presentation and the taste. For my husband and myself for brunch was $159. That included the buffet plus bottomless mimosas for me ($15) and bottomless Bloody Mary for my hubby ($20). We have paid this before at places like Rusty Scupper but the value at Rusty Scupper was worth it. At David's that price included limp French toast, undercooked bacon, hash brown triangles like they give at school lunch, egg bites that were microwaved and topped with cheese and then steamed over a hot table. The turkey sausage seemed like it came from Costco/Sysco while the chicken Alfredo was searching for the chicken. Think continental breakfast at Hampton Inn My eyes lit up when I saw oysters on the half shell, but those had to have been partially shucked hours before we got there as they were dry and we had to use a knife and fork to finish shucking them at our table. Nothing promised from the website was actually on the bar. Some Yelp posters had mentioned that David's had carving stations. No such things were there yesterday. No carving station. No omelette station...just dreary looking hotel food. The mimosas and Bloody Mary drinks were good, but good luck with the bottomless experience. Our server disappeared for long periods often and 20 minutes into our meal my glass sat empty awaiting its first refresh. Also, the price is not posted as you enter and there are no menus so just ask how much it is before you partake. I just say do better. If you charge Rusty Scupper brunch prices...offer similar or better quality. Carving stations, omelette stations, a buffet that looks like the chef really cared about what was offered and an accurate depiction of what you are serving on your website. The brunch buffet we had on Sunday was worth $15 at most (not including bottomless drinks). No pictures...I was too mad at myself for paying that much for that meal. read more

May, the hostess, did an amazing job taking care of me from the time I arrived until I was seated. She checked in on me throughout the evening to make sure everything was going smoothly, which I really appreciated. Jeremiah, my waiter, was also fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and made the overall dining experience even better. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lively, especially for Ladies Night. The bartender was awesome he was kind and fast and knows how to make a good drinnk! Great for any occasion. We wanted a brunch but they only do brunch Sunday, but the Saturday lunch menu was great! We ordered the expresso martini and it was soooo delicious!! Went their for happy hour and there was half off of appetizers. The HH menu is only listed on the website as there are no actual hands on HH menus in the restaurant. Thursdays are R&B nights with a live DJ. He was so awesome and played the best 90's and 2000's R&B. The volume of the music was just right; it wasn't too loud or too low. The crab dip and wings were awesome! I ordered the honey old bay wings, then I ordered another batch shortly after...lol! The crab dip came with chips and bread to dip...well seasoned, portioned right and delicious! The only issue was that they were short staffed so there was only one server available. Interestingly enough, there were two hostesses. I felt like one of them could have assisted with serving since the bar was pretty much self-seating. For faster service, I ordered from the bartender and cashed out everything with her. I went here with a few gfs before going to a concert inside of the casino. The restaurant is located inside the casino closer to the hotel side. It was a bit challenging finding the restaurant because we parked in the garage on the other side. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hostess and informed they were short staffed and it would be a much longer wait although reservations were made. We sat a the bar for few and listened to the DJ which was on point. Several people were trying to order food from the bar staff as we were all going to the concert. We were finally seated, I ordered a burger and a red Sangria with a side Brussels spouts. My food was good. Our waitress was friendly and we were about to get to the concert inside on time. We had dinner here tonight. There was a bday party in the restaurant with a DJ. Dinner was not quiet, not unpleasant, but busy and took a while for both our drinks and our food. We were seated right away, received water and suggestions from Nadia. She kept us up to speed on our order and made sure we had what we needed. This airy, bright, relatively quiet casino restaurant was a pleasant surprise. An interesting alternative to the very good but omnipresent Cheesecake Factory also in Maryland Live. The hostess was very pleasant and helpful. A friend and I went for brunch. William our waiter was very responsive and accommodating. Although the bar wasn't open yet, he managed to get us drinks: large and potent. My burger was also supersized, with a generous portion of delicious fries that ai struggled to finish: a bargain at $20. My friend had the Classic Eggs Benedict. It was tasty, but the English Muffin wasn't toasted well enough to be crisp. The coffee impressed my foodie friend who found it nearly as rich as espresso. Had an amazing dinner with my son at David's where they had a wagyu, wine and whisky Wednesday menu. Mamata was our waitress and she was so incredibly sweet, she told us to order the pull apart truffle bread and I can tell you now, it's the best thing you'll eat EVER! The restaurant is inside MD Live casino and it has free parking so there's no issue there. The casino is decorated beautifully, I couldn't stop taking photos. I decided to try the happy hour menu at David's after noticing several ads on social media. David's is located inside of Live Maryland near the front entrance. Happy Hour is from 4pm-6pm. They offer half off on select small bites and discount on select cocktails. The bar is fully stocked with a variety of spirits. Free parking is available in the casino garage or the neighboring lot. Cocktail - Ordered the Peach Margarita, received the original Margarita. 3.5/5 - taste bland. Parm Garlic Wings - Order the wings crispy and the they weren't fried crispy. 4/5 - good but not crispy Fries - 3/5. - they were over cooked and hard. I guess they mixed up my request for the wings The location is very spacious with several tv's and a stocked bar. This is a nice spot to watch your favorite sports game. Came here on Tuesday after my niece's high school graduation at Maryland live. My family had a great time. We are we chose about seven different appetizers, and my favorite was the caramelized onions and Gruyère flatbread. For an entrée I got the rockfish on the bed of risotto. I feel like the risotto was cooked perfectly. There were lots of cocktail selections and even mocktail selections. Unfortunately, upon arrival on New Year's Eve, we were informed that these offerings were not available that evening. The restaurant itself is roomy and has plenty of seating even if you just want to eat at the bar and watch some games. The food was very good with too marks going to the brisket and the pasta. Personally, I wanted another vegetable option besides the salad. I ended up poaching some broccoli from the chicken and it was really good. The dessert array was lovely, but it wasn't as good as it looked. Maybe a focus on taste over presentation could help. I did have the cream cheese and either strawberry or rasberry pastry and that was delicious. The bottomless option was of course on point and we had a really good server. Came here with my friends for drinks before our dinner reservation elsewhere. We easily could have eaten here as the food looked really good, but just came for a drink and a chat before our dinner. The server was excellent, funny, and had some great recommendations for me since I rarely drink alcohol. I settled on an Angry Orchard, and my friends got fancy martini's and an old fashioned with premium bourbon. The ambience here is outstanding for people watching as it is right off the casino and near the hotel lobby. I highly recommend a visit here whether for a drink, a chat, watching a sporting event or having a nice meal. Our server was good. The ambiance was an upscale but not stuffy. The food on the other hand was not that great. It took at least 30 minutes for my husband and I to get our salmon Cesar salads and we were the last to get our food at the table. My mom ordered the meatloaf and was so huge like a brick. Portion made no sense. My oldest got the crab cakes and it was burnt on the bottom. My youngest got a burger and he didn't even want to finish it. The only saving grace was the starters we got. This place has been on my radar for 2 years to visit and today was my time to shine !! 1st, let me tell you how long it took me to find this establishment. Totally my fault for not doing my research. I parked in the garage of the casino, which was pretty overwhelming yet, convenient and safe. It was not necessary. I walked 3K miles confused through the casino looking for the restaurant w semi - confusing signs to guide me. This restaurant is located off the lobby of the hotel. You can park FREE in the outdoor parking lot that has Costco in it and walk across the street. Lesson learned. Anyhoo, as I entered the establishment, the place was gorge. Attractive seating, great decor, perfect natural lighting, and plenty of space for the buffet stations. I visited for my ggggf's birthday brunch. I was greeted by Becky who was super-duper. She was helpful and expedited our beverages as needed as well as made sure we did not have dirty plates in front of us. She was kind and a pleasure to talk to. The buffet had great options. I went with four friends on a Thursday night. Place was almost empty. Server came after a few minutes and took our drink orders and appetizer orders. Three cocktails and two glasses of wine. Three appetizers. She came back 10 minutes later with one glass of wine and said the bar was backed up. We saw her chatting with the bartender for a while at an empty bar. Ten minutes later she came back with the other glass of wine and the cocktails. Another ten minutes later and our appetizers arrived. We placed our main course order and it took another 20 minutes for our main courses to come out. I ordered a wedge salad and another diner ordered a turkey club and another ordered a burger. Nothing should have taken very long to prepare. Again, the restaurant was sparsely populated. We spent way too long at the restaurant. A Tale of Two Visits at Davids Friday night was phenomenal. The steak was cooked perfectly, the truffle butter rolls were next level, and the vibe was lively. Huge shoutout to Mamata. Ask for her. She was kind, attentive, and made amazing recommendations. Five star experience, no question. Then came Sunday brunch and it all unraveled. We were not greeted when we walked in. After waiting awkwardly, I approached Mamata who graciously remembered us and helped seat us, even though it was not her section. Our new server hyped the 55 dollar buffet, promising seabass and New York strip steak. Instead, we got dry soy glazed fish that was definitely not seabass and well done roast beef. When we asked, the server doubled down, said that was strip steak. He offered to get the manager, who showed up looking disheveled, confused, and shockingly unprofessional. His only response to our concerns was, "Is that all?" I ended up reporting it to the hotel front desk because the manager seemed genuinely unwell. We paid 153 dollars before tip for bottomless mimosas, dry fish, and meat that did not match what was promised. I have had better brunch at a chain buffet. Highlights: The fruit, shrimp cocktail, and omelet station. I have been a longtime fan of Davids, which is why this was so disappointing. You could only order food from the pre-fixe menu and the hostess informed us of that before we sat down. We ordered a caesar salad, short ribs with shrimp, and a "hot" chocolate brownie with ice cream. The salad was good; no complaints there. The short rib was very fatty. The sauce didn't have a lot of flavor but was extremely salty (I have a strong salt tolerance). The inside of the short rib not covered by the sauce was very tender. It was also a good size short rib. The shrimp was just ok; they were cooked well but had no flavor. Me nor my partner found the short rib/shrimp dish enjoyable. The carrots that came with it were good. The brownie was not warm and it was very dry and tasted stale like it had been sitting out for a week. So, for $99/per person excluding tip, we were extremely disappointed. After dinner, we sat at the bar area and enjoyed the live band. The vibe at the bar was nice and they gave everyone complimentary champagne for the count down. They also had a picture booth. It was a large party and they took our order prior to another tables, but they received their food before us and they had our food all messed up.
