This was my first visit to David's. Went on a Thursday evening for their ladies R&B night. They have food and drink specials from 7pm-9pm. Half prize apps and discounted drinks. When I arrived around 6pm the bar was already packed. I lucked out and grabbed a high top by the bar. It took a while to get service, as there was only one waitress working that side of the bar along with actually being behind the bar. She was doing the best that she could. The plus about this spot is that the food is on point. We ordered wings, and the seafood pasta (can't recall the name) that has lobster, shrimp, and crab meat. Soooooooo good. Overall decent experience. Good music (Thursday night) and vibes, great food, just a bit of a kink with the service. read more

At David's for Brunch with my husband. Was seated, brought water and lemons. My iced coffee was brought while we were at the bar getting food. Didn't see our server David after that. Coffee had sugar and no cream. Flagged another server and asked for a remake with no sugar add cream. Finished our omelet and salad abd ready for another trip to bar. David still had not returned to the floor. Waved another server and asked for a manager. He graciously cleared our plates. Still no coffee. Finally the manager, Brian came to the table. He argued with me and said they don't make iced coffee and Brian was at the bar all thar time making me another iced coffee. Because Brian couldn't hear me and continued to make excuses for David, I told him that he has been unhelpful and to remove this matter to send us another server. And I dismissed him. At an automatic 18% gratuity, my expectation is that I can see my server more than once when I arrive and by see if mean at the very least see him moving about the floor like the other servers. I also dont expect the manager to argue the servers case with me. David's poor service is a clear reflection of poor Brian's poor management. Brian's response was unacceptable. On a high note, we watched William (the server that was assigned after David was removed) provide excellent service to his customers before being assigned and he stood nearby watching his customers which is why it was easy to flag him when David was nowhere in sight. Kudos to William for excellent customer service. He even brought my husband a tall glass for water when David said he didn't have a tall glass and filled instead three 4oz glasses. I am extremely disappointed in the service that we received. I am digusted by my encounter with Brian X10. He is an overt racist covering for David's failed performance. One star for the restaurant because they have a lot of issues to resolve. The food was not exceptional, but our waitress, Nadia was phenomenon. She was the only reason why we didn't walk out. She took great care of us and we adore her beautiful smile. Her smile is contagious. read more

Went here two times in one weekend and had very different experiences. Saturdays are very quiet, no live music, and table service was atrocious. But coming on Sundays is a completely different game. Sat at the bar with the most amazing bartender Kaicee, she was so kind and attentive, always zooming around, so fast. The food is fine, nothing to Rave about. We tried the crab cakes, the steak and eggs, the chicken sandwich and the parmesan pull apart bread. The Pull-A-Part bread came out a little raw so we ended up sending that back but everything else was fine. The bottomless mimosas is a great cell, $15 and a wide variety of juices, strawberry, mango, orange, cranberry, pineapple etc. But Sundays they have an amazing musician who sings live, and the ambiance is on another level, a place you really want to hang out. The service was excellent. Our waitress Nadia was exceptional 5 stars for her. Plus we were celebrating our anniversary she gave us a pleasant surprise. All of her recommendations were excellent. The food the ribs were very good melted in your mouth. The potatoes that came with my husbands meal were under cooked. His steak was cooked the way he asked for. The ambiance was ok they had an event going on. The music was enjoyable. I would go again. The drinks were good. Over the years, David's has changed so much. Went through Several managers, menu changes & brunch upgrades. We are a semi regular here, we come here, at least several times a month, have been here for Sunday brunch, special occasions, and regular lunch or dinner. Our recent visit was for a relaxing date night . Glad to see the staff all dressed up for Halloween. Service was great , & attentive. We ordered shrimp, and burnt ends appetizer , very tasty. For dinner, we ordered ribs and chicken, delicious as well, chicken was not dry at all very moist. If you haven't been to this restaurant , need to know this restaurant is located inside the Live casino, with convenient parkings right outside or you can park at the casino garage parking. read more

We ordered the appetizer tower and it did not disappoint. It was a pleasure getting 4 of the best appetizers David's had to offer. Met a buddy for a Saturday evening drink and a bite to eat. I have only been to David's for Brunch before so this is a Yelpable experience. They had an event so half of the dining area was closed off. We chose to sit at the bar. I ordered some of the deviled eggs sampler as a appetizer. I like the crab topped ones the best and it came with 8 different kinds with two of each. The other kinda were bacon, shrimp, and traditional. The bar tender was very attentive and checked on use frequently. They had a live musician singing the evening . For my main course I had the fish and chips. They were ok but I prefer cat fish. My husband and I attended a wedding reception at this restaurant tonight. It was our first time going there! The staff was very professional and attentive. The menu for the reception started off with a very nice assortment of appetizers. There were sliders, shrimp, cocktail, and some sort of eggplant appetizer. I don't recall the name of it, but it was very good! Appetizers were followed by a very nice salad, and then a chicken and pasta dish. That was very good. The pasta was prepared very well and was not too soft or soggy. The chicken was nice and moist. We thought that was actually the main meal and so we were pleasantly surprised when it was followed by a very well prepared steak with a side of asparagus and mashed potatoes. Just as the chicken and pasta dish, the steak and size were prepared very well. Often times, the food at a wedding is average, at best. My husband and I were very pleased that the food was very good, and the atmosphere was very nice. Well, this was a private event, and the restaurant was closed for the wedding reception, we are looking forward to going back and visiting during normal business hours. read more

We visited Davids, located in the hotel lobby by the Maryland LIVE casino, for Sunday brunch. The brunch consisted of only 8 items including bacon, eggs, shrimp and grits, fruit, salmon, and bagels. In addition, there was an omelet station and a meat carving station. However, for the price of $55 per person, we were very underwhelmed. The restaurant was extremely slow in replacing the pans, which resulted in us having to wait for picked-over items. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience and do not plan on returning ever again. read more

The ambiance was wonderful. I was trying to find a place that I could eat without leaving the hotel area and I just wanted something light. I ended up eating their brunch meal because on the website it was telling you you could have French toast and so on which there was no French toast there's pancakes I hate it wasn't my favorite but I ate it. I also wanted to try their bottomless bloody Mary's because there was a concert that night that I was wanting to go to and I wanted to have a few drinks. On the website it says that you can use Grey goose... The server came back and told me when I was saying something about Grey goose oh that's up charge. The brunch was already $55. The bottomless drink was going to be $20 and then they're going to charge you more money for Grey goose. Which, by the way, nowhere on the website did it state there was an up charge. I didn't really care for the bloody Mary because they had something all over the glass. They should've asked us if it was OK to do that, but they didn't as I said, the food was fine it wasn't what they were representing in the videos or on the website you had slim pickings, but what can you do Vineyard wanting to stay on the grounds and not drive. They charged us a $32 event fee. I am trying to figure that one out since the event was not even going to be until that night I was there at 1 o'clock. There's a six hour difference from the actual event. And then they expected to tip when all was said and done we paid $209 close to $210 for a brunch... There was no steak involved. No seafood involved just eggs, pancakes, and a omelette and when I say eggs because my husband had the eggs, I ate omelette. Our waiter gave us sour milk for our coffee. The first batch he gave me in the creamer. It had something black in it we took and asked him to take it back. The second one you can see kernels of milk. If I ever go back to the hotel I will find somewhere else to eat. I wouldn't mind a price if it was stealing with seafood and steak, but none of that was involved. And I don't wanna hear. Oh well what would you expecting? I was expecting good quality food that's what I was expecting and I wasn't expecting being gouged for event pricing when there was no event going on. I also asked them how they made their bloody Mary's and he's like oh we put V-8 juice in it because I mentioned I like to be eight and he also stated that it's really good. I was at David's for breakfast. The management failed today on so many levels. They had the audacity to schedule 1 server for 25-30 people during the 8am breakfast rush while they hid in the back. The very patient, kind and hardworking server assisted every customer with a smile and kindness Make no mistake the server is not the cause of this failure. I waited an hour and fifteen minutes just to get a breakfast order which I happily left after speaking to one of the managers who failed to act. This situation should have been "all hands on deck". Instead he provided an unacceptable explanation of, "we have not been this busy". All the other 25-30 guests were also waiting long periods for their breakfast orders. This is unacceptable for a 4- Diamond hotel restaurant. When I checked in I was told by the front desk the hotel was almost at capacity. No one at the management level prepared for this. No one. I may never stay or play here again. This is not how you treat your employees or your guests. read more

Located in the heart of the live Casino the first that will catch your eye is the ambiance. It is perfectly lit and the large chandeliers are beautiful. I was disappointed in the food service though and the drink services. Everything we placed an order for we literally had to be reminding out server. The food it self was not the best as I anticipated, the steak was not seasoned and the salmon omelet had giant piece of fish in the middle of the egg. Let's do better guys. David's has been on my list of places to check out when doing a fun, fancy night at Maryland Live Casino. I made a reservation via Open Table for 730pm on a Friday evening because some girlfriends and I were headed to a show in the casino that started at 9pm. Now granted, our seats were reserved, but we still wanted to arrive on time. The reason why I mention the specific times because the service level at David's was so slow. It surprisingly wasn't that crowded, quite a few empty tables, and appeared fully staffed. My 2 friends and I decided to share the Live! Crush Flight which consisted of our choice of 3 crush drinks. We also asked for water which took almost 20 mins to come out. We kept it light for our meals because we wanted to be careful on time, so we ended up ordering appetizers. My friends ordered the corn & crab bisque and chicken tenders and I ordered the cast-iron MD crab dip. I was not pleased at all with the crab dip. It didn't taste fresh, nor had flavor, very orange in color and barely had crab meat. It was bland and pretty much the worst crab dip I've had in quite a while. A high-end restaurant such as David's, I had more expectations of the level of service and food quality. We didn't receive our appetizers until about 830, 30 mins prior to our show. By the time we were done (and I did not complete my meal) we were looking for our waitress to quickly care for the check and be on our way. The only two highlights I would close out with are that the restaurant is beautiful and spacious and they validate parking when doing valet with a reservation. read more

On 12/15/23 I met friends for lunch. The place was nearly vacant and service was slow. I ordered the crabcake appetizer. It wasn't the same it was didn't taste good. I was truly disappointed it was lump crab meat when I first visited the restaurant. I'm not sure what happened. I literally bragged to friends the food was delicious. The waiter informed us a new menu and chef would start in January. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. I think I'll wait a few months before I go back. read more

David's has become my favorite place to dine at Maryland Live Casino. Located inside the new hotel, David's gives you an upscale feel without the upscale price. Pretty as a picture, this restaurant is the perfect start to a cool date night! The food is excellent, having tasted several menu items. Of course I've had the ribeye which is a winner and the shrimp and grits is loaded with juicy shrimp and sausage. The drinks are always made perfect, strong and tasty and the prices aren't over the top like some places. The service is a little spotty thus the one star reduction. On one occasion the hostess had to tend to our needs because our server had to take a room service order to a hotel room. I couldn't believe he had to do that but I was even more surprised that the hostess actually told us.. I burst out laughing. Other than that debacle which was an obvious lack of staffing issue that night, David's is a straight up hit and you can't beat the free valet parking with restaurant validation!!! #dope! read more
