Cucumber mint drink, harissa bowl and seasoned pita chips
Tandra C.

Food was so bomb!! Cucumber mint drink, harissa bowl and seasoned pita chips. The drink and food was very refreshing. Service was decent and the restaurant was clean. I loved it. Wanted to try something different and it hit the spot!!

Came here for a quick lunch. Cava is what I like to call a higher caliber Chipotle. The same assembly line for prep, but the ingredients are a little more upscale, but not by much. Start off with greens/salad, then rice choice, meat/vegetarian protein options, and toppings. They also have dessert options such as cookies and fountain juices, that are just okay. I got the rice/chicken/corn/salsa/cucumber/topped with crazy feta bowl. The staff were pleasant and quick to get the orders out in a decent time. They have ample seating to enjoy your food in store, if you wish. The bowl was ok. It seems that the quality is a bit off now. All in all, a nice choice for lunch/dinner, but not worth going out of my way to purchase.

Garlicky Chicken Shawarma Bowl

Spent $13.60 on this portion of garlicky chicken shawarma bowl. The workers were trying to make 3 of these bowls with one scoop of chicken stating the chicken is still cooking!

The new steak is so good. I get the Create Your Own Bowl, crafted with all my favorite ingredients. I love all the fresh ingredients, hummus and pita bread. Yum!

where are all the ingredients?!

My first experience with this Cava was 3 stars, based on the service walking through the line to create our own bowl we felt very rushed & the quality of the food was lacking- this visit, ordering via the app, wasn't any better, mainly because we felt again the location didn't take the time to make quality bowls. We ordered 4 custom bowls- at first glance, it was a toss up for which bowls were missing ingredients and which bowls just had very skimpy ingredients- for my bowl (half greens/grains) they didn't forget the greens, but basically they did because the service was so minimal- for my husband's bowl they forgot the sauce toppings- again, not impressed with this location- not worth the visit if the food is missing or low quality- we do love Cava, and will make the trip to the Columbia, MD location.

I love this Cava, the food is always great and the service is always welcoming. This is what is in my bowl. Supegreens bowl, Tzatziki, red Hummus, double chicken, Onion and tomato combo, cucumbers and tomato combo, corn, broccoli, alot of olives lol. No dressing for me

Lately I've been feeling the need to unbig my back so I decided I would go to CAVA and get a salad and lay off of the carbs a bit. I did create your own salad option. There were plenty of green base options. I could choose between arugula, romaine, baby spinach, super greens and splendid greens. I went with the splendid greens which consisted of CAVAs mix of crisp chopped greens, romaine, radicchio, escarole, chicory-endive, and cabbage. Harissa honey chicken for my protein. For toppings I had fire roasted corn, tomato cucumber, pickled onions, persian cucumbers, crumbled feta and kalamata olives. For the dressing I went with the hot harissa vinaigrette and garlic dressing. To finish it off, I went with the Tzatziki dip. I enjoyed the salad and it was good and fulfilling.

Today was the day! ;) It was around 1140 so it wasn't busy yet, meaning I was able to order immediately and got my takeout order in about 5 minutes. The counter person was friendly and so polite. I chose a "choose two" with broccoli cheddar soup and the jalapeño turkey crunch sandwich. Both turned out to be excellent choices. I have to say that the soup beats Panera hands down. The broccoli was distinct bites, the flavor deep and rich, and there were nice globs of cheddar cheese. Wow! I've never had a sammie made with a jalapeño roll except those I make at home with bakery rolls. This was just delightful, and the "crunch" is supplied by jalapeño kettle chips. Inspired! Even one half of each was plenty to satisfy my hunger, so I'm getting two meals for just over $14 including tip. I will definitely go back to try other soups & sammies!

At 1:45 an employee working the dining room area asked the name of the order I was waiting on. He went and asked about it and they handed it over to him. The receipt on the bag was 1:37. I guess they don't call out names when an order is ready so my sandwich was just sitting there waiting for someone to ask about it? Anyway- I got my smoky pepper jack turkey sandwich home, opened it up - and there was NO bacon. The sandwich was just okay- I should have just gone a couple doors down to Jersey Mike's. I am annoyed that I tipped at the register when I ordered and in exchange received terrible service and a bland sandwich.

In fairness, the place was busy but that also is typical on a Sunday around noon. We had a party of 5 and had to wait approximately 20-30 minutes to be seated. We received our coffee and waters however there were no spoons in our napkin of silverware so we had to use knives to stir in the creamer and sugar for the coffee. The waitress also brought a drinking cup full of half-n-half to the table for us to use in our coffee. This made quite a mess since pouring from a drinking cup resulted in drips and spillage onto the table. It was busy so we could not get the attention of anyone to ask for spoons after we realized they were not in the napkins. Jokes of course ensued about whether we were to use our fingers to stir our hot coffee. Later, when our entree's arrived, they had put 2 separate orders onto one plate and even though we requested fruit on the side for our french toast, the fruit was on top of the toast. These were all little, irritating things which combined made the dining experience memorable but for the wrong reasons.

You can tell people really like this place. Lots of options on the menu. I went with the classic Eggs Benedict, which here comes with an interesting twist -- they add cheddar cheese. That was new to me. My daughter ordered the Belgian waffle with sausage. They didn't ask patty or link, so we rolled the dice -- it came as links, and she wasted no time eating them. The waffle filled her up quickly. Fresh blueberries on top, crispy on the outside, airy on the inside, and sweet in all the right ways. When my Eggs Benedict arrived, it looked a little small at first and the potatoes barely filled the plate. But don't let that fool you. What a flavor. What a presentation. The hollandaise was perfect -- thick enough that it barely dripped off the muffins. Once the creamy yolk broke and mixed into that sauce, it was game over. The cheddar addition actually works, giving the whole dish another layer of richness. This is top-tier classic Benedict. Coffee was solid, the atmosphere cozy, and the pricing surprised me in a good way. My daughter's meal was $5.99, with only a $0.75 upcharge for juice, which is hard to beat these days. Good service, good food, and a comfortable place to sit down and eat. We'll definitely be back!!!

I wanted a classic so I just got the gyro platter, the Greek fries and the soup. The soup is so good and reminds me of my favorite Greek place back home in chicago, I used to eat this type of soup every weekend with my family. Ingredients are fresh here and quality is always A1. The Greek fries are my favorite and a guilty pleasure. They are so flavorful and have the best texture. The gyro was also very filling and they really don't skimp out here with their toppings. My fiancé and I have supported this local spot for years. It used to be a reliable go-to. But over time, something shifted--and now I know exactly what it is: the cook, Laura. On 11/28, I ordered steak and eggs. What I was served was not just unappetizing--it was dangerous. The steak smelled rancid, oozed a grayish liquid, and had visible discoloration. We flagged it immediately. Today, we returned to follow up and were horrified to learn that Laura had been explicitly told not to use those steaks because they were spoiled--and she served them anyway. Let that sink in. Why wasn't the meat discarded? Why did she knowingly serve it? Is she untrained, negligent, or something worse? And more importantly--why is she still employed? This isn't an isolated incident. Months ago, I stopped in for a quick lunch and became violently ill within the hour. I had to pull over to vomit and missed an important business meeting. I suspected something was off then, and from that point on, I would call ahead to make sure Laura wasn't cooking. Recently, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. That was a mistake. There's a level of disregard here that feels personal. When I asked to speak with her after learning about the spoiled meat, the staff refused and smirked like it was a joke. It's not. This could have led to hospitalization--or worse. This is a public health issue. Laura's actions were reckless, and the restaurant's failure to act is inexcusable. I'm mortified, furious, and deeply disappointed. Willy's was once a place I proudly supported. Now, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Until there's accountability, I won't be back--and I urge others to think twice before risking their health here.

Unfamiliar with the area, I jumped on yelp and found The Farmhouse with its 4.4 star rating. So there we went. The Waugh Chapel area is a giant shopping center. Wegmans, Old Navy, Verizon, etc. The Farmhouse is in a new building near the man road. Their whole thing is farm to fork, with some herbs and greens grown on site and others sourced locally. The service is great! Fast and friendly. Instead of bread or rolls, they warm you up with some country style homemade cornbread. Freshly baked, cast iron skillet, with butter and syrup. Yum! We had the meatloaf and the chicken and chicken and biscuits. The meatloaf was tasty, with homemade mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked fresh green beans. The chicken and biscuits is kind of like a chicken pot pie without the crust. The biscuits are on top so you can decide how much bread you want. The vegetables are nice and fresh, and the chicken is perfect white meat. A++ on both entrees. For dessert we had half-baked, which is an ooey gooey cookie and a brownie in a cast iron skillet topped with ice cream. We liked it, but next time I'll probably have just ice cream because the ice cream was absolutely perfect. Where are you? Stevensville? Baltimore? Solomon's? Alexandria? DC? When we arrived, our table appeared to be ready right at our reservation time, but we still had to wait to be seated. It wasn't a long delay, but it was a bit confusing and felt like a service issue. The ambience is beautiful and well done, and the bathrooms were clean. The food itself was solid across the board, and the chicken and biscuit was actually even better the next day as leftovers. Unfortunately, the service was the biggest drawback. Refills only happened when we asked, and splitting checks for a large group was more difficult than expected. At one point when a correction was needed, a member of our party noticed the server visibly rolling her eyes, which didn't help the experience. Drinks are also served by the can rather than fountain style, which made them feel overpriced without refills. For a place that presents as upscale, the experience shouldn't feel nickel-and-dimed. Overall, nice atmosphere and good food, but the service needs improvement before I'd consider returning.
