Wow! This was my first time eating at Jason's Deli and LOVED EVERYTHING about it! I had a ham and cheese sandwich that was delicious and I didn't have to add any additional sauces or dressings to it! The service was EXCELLENT! We had questions about the menu and some of the staff took the time to talk with us and share their recommendations based on our interests. I also Enjoyed the Ambiance of the restaurant! There was plenty of space to eat for both small and large groups and we even found a place where my group was able to eat together in a cozy part of the restaurant that felt private. The food tasted fresh even down to the chips! What made me feel special as a customer was being treated to FREE ice cream on a cone or in a cup - your choice! Always one of my go to lunch destinations while I am at work. I have the app so I can earn point when I shop here. It does take a while since you earn one point per dollar spent and you need 250 to get a $10 off your purchase. They are always fast which is a plus. The food tastes great. While you wait for your order they will allow you to have some complimentary soft serve ice cream. Great on a hot summer day. Staff is always friendly when I go. It's very convenient to use the app to place your order or do a group order. The drawback is the parking lot. It's a shared lot with several other businesses so not much parking available close by. Came here for lunch. We ordered the "Mix and Match" manager's lunch special, which consists of half of any sandwich, your choice of a cup of soup, fruit, or mac & cheese, and chips. We ordered the half club sandwich with tomato basil soup and plain chips and a Santa Fe chicken sandwich with baked potato soup and bar-b-que chips. The staff and service were good. The ambiance was chill and relaxed in the day we visited. We were seated with our order to be delivered to our table. Jason's Deli also has a make it yourself salad bar as well as free ice cream (on a cone or in a cup). There is plenty of seating. Our order came in no time: both of the soups were good:f resh, hot, and tasty. The club sandwich was good as well with fresh lunch meat sandwiched between toasted white bread with lettuce, tomato, and cheese, in addition to a side of chips. The Santa Fe chicken sandwich was good and fresh as well. We also got an iced tea, which wasn't as sweet as we wanted, but good at any rate. My partner and I like Jason's. The food is good, but we most frequently go for the salad bar. It's getting harder and harder to find a good salad bar these days, and Jason's is great for its consistency, quality and variety of ingredients. Today we each got a salad bar and I got a bowl of the spicy shrimp soup. I didn't think the soup was very spicy, and actually was more salty than spicy. I wouldn't get that soup again. The salad bar, though, was fresh, well stocked and a person came by from time to time to check on the bar and refill items running low. It's a great salad bar at a great price point. And the free ice cream is a real treat at the end of the meal. It seems like a good quality product - nice and creamy, unlike some other places where it's obvious you're getting a not-creamy ice milk product. I was really looking forward to eating here and it's a service is so poor. They are out of baked potatoes and it was only 1 o'clock in the afternoon so prime lunchtime. So anyone that wants potato now has to wait 50 A gentleman at the register takes forever to take one order that has to keep on talking to the kitchen about making sure there are ingredients to make the food for what has been ordered. Just paid $13 for the most disgusting salad ever, supposedly a "southwestern adobe salad". Mostly nothing but iceberg lettuce -- fast food chains do not even use iceberg any more. It was supposed to have black beans and corn what a joke. Maybe 10 miniscule black bean 1/4 the size of a normal black bean. I dont remember any corn in it but I guess there were a few kernels of corn. Also, I threw most of the chicken out. It was over-processed cubes kind of mealy with gristle. In the trash! !!!!! I've been here many times, just forgot to write a review. This is my favorite Deli. I wish it wasn't so far away but it's worth the 25 minute drive. The Staff is friendly and they greet you immediately when you come inside. My food is always prepared right. My favorite items are the Pollo Mexican Baked Potato and the Reuben Sandwich. A clean, simple, no fuss deli. My husband did enjoy his reuben, which is one of the standout menu items. Nice salad bar as well. I've been going to Jason's Deli for years, in various states. But it wasn't until recent years I found Jason's serves gumbo. It doesn't rival even mall gumbo in NOLA, but if you've not had gumbo in a while and need a fix, Jason's gumbo will do. That's what I've treated myself to for some time now. I get half a sandwich and the gumbo. I ordered such yesterday, the gumbo and a turkey wrap. I placed my order online and paid online also. Pickup was easy. I walked in and my order was on a self-serve pickup stand. The food quality was good per the usual, but I realize the prices for so little food are high. I'm sad to report a 1 star review. I really wanted it to be a 4-5 star review but negative circumstances prevailed. Here goes: I walked into Jason's Deli this previous Friday between 1:30pm-2:00pm. The dining room was roughly 60-70% full and there was no line (YAY). I made my order with a wonderful cashier. She told me about the rewards program. She was lively, and she aswered all my questions with ease. I paid. I sat and I waited for my Dine-In Rueben w/ Pastrami with Salt and Vinegar Chips and I sat down. Things went wrong from here... About 11-12 minutes passed. During this 11-12 minutes I observed an elderly couple enter the restaurant (after me) and order dine-in. I also observed a family of 4 enter into the establishment (after me) and order dine-in. Both parties sat down, got drinks. talked, and waited patiently for their food... After 13-15 minutes..., each party recieved their food from the line worker walking out the dine-in orders. I had not recieved my order. At this point, I became quite skeptical that my order was either LOST or something went very wrong... Thankfully after about 15-16 minutes (...btw which is way to long for an single order to complete ...especially not during a lunch or dinner rush i.e. now ...) I recieved my food. I noticed off the bat that there was no "sorry" or "we apologize for the wait" or anything. The line worker dropped the food order off with the expression "please don't shoot the messenger" and walked off quickly. Second, I tasted my chips and they were plain, not salt and vinegar... C'mon guys... the restaurant served 6 other people's food before me on a non-rush hour with no-line and they got my order wrong too (wow). And with no apology. Sheesh. This is not all folks... Sadly I walked to the cashier with my food and told her that I'd like to take my food "to go." I told her that my chips were not what I ordered and that I rather not eat dine-in dissappointed with my order. The cashier was great. She gave me a bag and a to-go container. She informed me that I should have had a pickle with the order as well (wow). She gave me a pickle also (gee thanks). She was kind to the situation. All the while the manager on duty (MOD) was no more than 6 feet away in the employee only section preparing her coffee or tall plastic container drink with sweetener ... or she was on break as well ... and was not engaged in the situation at all. I don't know if she even knew she had a dissatisfied custmer up front at all. I handed over my unused silverware to the cashier and my cup of water and I turned to exit the restaurant when the MOD (Manager) just coincidentally walked up front as i took my second step to leave the place. Folks ... that is not a coincidence... She didn't want to face the situation or she was oblivious to what happened and too busy with her coffee sweetener in the back. I immedately turned 180 degrees knowing she was re-joining the front staff after my 2nd step to leave the place unhappy and I asked her promptly "are you the manager on duty today?" She said "Yes." I told her "your cashier can let you know what happened okay..." and I turned my body back to walk out. As I walked out I glanced back in her direction and she met me eye to eye where I just shook my head in dissappointment at the whole experience that could have been a great dine-in that felt like nobody cares except the cashier on duty... But not even enough to apologize or say sorry for the bad service or offer anything at all to reverse the situation. C'mon guys ... any verbal response would have been better than this ... Never visiting again. On the last note, the pastrami was hard to get through ... May everyone else have great experiences here. Take care y'all. Please do better. read more

This place is clean drom the floor to the ceiling. The staff are helpful and courteous. Dining room is a great size for sit down Dining. One of my favorites is the Pollo Mexicano Potato. Visiting family in Maryland for the holidays. Unfortunately got sick and wanted to order no contact delivery through doordash. I've tried many places in Maryland so I thought I'd give this place a shot. This was my first time trying Jasons deli and I was thoroughly impressed. Ordered the chicken pesto panini with a side of tomato soup. Soup was delish and full of flavor and chunky tomatoes. Sandwich was nice and crispy and paired nicely with the jalapeño ranch. Food Ordering Process- order at the cashier, receive a number for the table, food is delivered to the table, leave your trash at the table. Service - super fast! We got our drinks after placing the order. About a minute or two after we sat down the food was delivered. Ambience - casual, laid-back, cozy. The deli was very spacious and bigger than most other comparable restaurants such as Panera Bread or Corner Bakery. Unlike at Panera there is ample seating and it's a lot quieter. One difference is they had a large salad bar that comparable establishments don't offer. Food - nice variety including: salads, soups, meatless eats, pastas, clubs, paninis, wraps. They also offer half a sandwich with soup, fruit, or one trip to the salad bar. I got the Deli Cowboy which is offered in two sizes, the Original or Lighter Portion. The original is offered with more meat. I got the lighter and it was a decent portion. It was somewhat comparable to the brisket sub at Firehouse Sub but not as good. The one at Jason had a more overpowering BBQ sauce whereas at Firehouse it is more subtle. Still a good sandwich. My hubby got the Hot Corned Beef Sandwich and really enjoyed it. He gave it a solid 8-8.5 out of 10 which is a high rating for him. He said this will be his go to here. We both really enjoyed the deli and it may be one of my favorite new spots. I come here all the time. I order the same thing every time: hot tea, cup of the chicken pot pie w/ puff and salad bar. I usually come during the lunch rush. I'm usually very pleased. Well... not today! This time, I came at about 4:30p. It's slow. As I approach the door, I'm rushed by children of one family. The Dad pretends the kids have manners usually. Smh. This family of seven, SEVEN (three adults & 4 children) solely ordered a few drinks and one salad bar. Then, they all welcomed themselves to the salad bar. The kids eating on the side dishes given only one person actually paid for the one meal. The dirty handed children did not use proper technique so now the salad bar is contaminated with their filth. Parents are ok with it because, why parent your children, let them roam free like animals, you've already taught them to steal. Then, they are climbing in the counter to help themselves to the self serve. What I find interesting is that all staff see this family. They know what they ordered and no one is stopping them or this free meal. Is it possible to no longer allow individuals under 13 access to any of the self serve options. Soda, salad bar, froyo?! Didn't feel super satisfied with the atmosphere of this place, it just didn't offer anything enticing. The menu had some good options on it but the 8 dollar salad bar is where they get you. We got a grilled cheese and tomato soup and a beefeater (French dip sub) with two salad bars for 47 dollars. I mean, in reality, you could make this at home what we got here for about 20 bucks. My go to is and always will be a sandwich with a combination of pastrami and corned beef, enter The New York Yankee. 3/4 pound of pastrami and corned beef on rye bread with melted cheese and spicy mustard... mm mm mm... I can hear the angels going "Ahhh!"... I'm not crazy about the name because I bleed orange and black for my O's and purple and black for my Ravens, that hasn't changed. But this sandwich right here... (moment of silence whilst I chew)... boy, I think I have the meat sweats, lol! And it's so so good! One thing I must say though is that 3/4 pound in Maryland is a great deal more meat than the 3/4 pound in Tampa. Kinda like when you order Shrimp Fried rice and you got about 6 shrimp and a ton of rice, that's not shrimp fried rice, that fried rice with a side order of shrimp.
