Avoid this location of Jersey Mikes!! Unfortunately, I am updating my previous one-star review, again, to a one-star review. Decided to give Jersey Mike's in Elkridge another try. It's been about 3-4 months. Unfortunately it's about as bad as before. #1 reason for one-star review is that I did not receive the sandwich that I ordered. I didn't discover it was wrong until I got home and I didn't feel like driving back over to see if they would make it right. I used the Jersey Mike app to order a Turkey and Provolone sub on a white sub roll. What I received was either a chicken salad or a tuna salad on rosemary parm bread (not sure as I threw it out). I verified on the receipt that I ordered correctly. My order was ready on time this visit, but as with the previous visit, they were very busy and the staff seemed to be flailing around in a rush, and a lot of exasperated customers pissed off at the wait time. Also - no iced tea available... the tea dispensers completely empty. Not sure why this location of Jersey Mike's is so bad. Maybe need a change in management, but either way, I will not give them a third try. Plenty of other places for a quick lunch in the area. If you do order here, check what they put in your bag is correct BEFORE you leave. Not recommended / avoid this location. read more

Jersey Mike's speaks for itself! But the service here will have me coming back to this location time and time again. Everyone is friendly, you are greeted at the door, they're always smiling. The sandwiches are so good. I especially enjoy them on a hot day when standing over the stove to prepare dinner is not ideal. I've been here quite a few times over the last few months and service is consistently pleasant, even if there's a mix-up it is fixed expeditiously and graciously with a smile. read more

Had a craving for a cheesesteak sub & headed right over to a Jersey Mike's location near me (Elkridge). I pre ordered first ( on the app) so that when I get there, it's ready. They're very efficient, when it says, 15 min, it IS READY in 15 minutes! I usually get the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak - grilled fresh to order tender & delicious beef steak with grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños & smothered with aaalll that melted cheese So so yummy! All this in a toasted good quality bread . I've also had their Chipotle Cheese Steak sub before which is also scrumptious - the chipotle Mayo packs a little heat but sure makes the cheesesteak sub taste even better! The Gluten free bread tastes like chalk. I ended up taking out all the filling and putting it on a regular sandwhich bread. All the extras I paid for? It ended up looking like a standard sandwich that I could have made at home. This sandwich was over $20! Total rip-off, but I added an extra star because the flavor, speed and service was good. I come here in between my biweekly appts. I usually get the same thing: regular club sub, extra mayo, Mike's way with extra seasoning. I never finish. The line moves pretty fast. Unlike other places, your sub has a decent amount of meat in it not requiring you to request double meat. No American cheese is offered. They really live the provolone here. In a perfect world, they'd serve corned beef. Depending on your arrival time, the dining room can be really busy. I do wish they served coke products and would switch up their specialty sodas every so often. Many don't know they have three types of bread. Oddly, that's not advertised. read more

Great sub shop that serves both hot and cold. My go to is the #2 Jersey Shore's Fav (provolone, ham, cappacuolo). Today we asked for the oil and vinegar on the side as normally it's so saturated. This way we can control how much is put on and doesn't make the sub soggy if the sub is to go or eaten at a later time. For sides and desserts, they offer chips, brownies, and cookies. They also have fountain sodas and refrigerated individual bottled drinks. You can make it a combo, for a 22 oz drink and a bag of chips, for an additional $2.99. They offer a rewards program and if you join you get a gift on your bday which is a regular sub and a drink. They occasionally also send an email offer for a free bag of chips and drinks with any regular or giant sub. Regarding seating, there are a few 2-seat tables and a few 4-seat tables. During peak times, I'm sure seating is challenging and people would have to have their order to go. There are also a few patio tables in front of the shop. Employees are professional and friendly. Today my family and I had the absolute WORST experience that I have ever had at a Jersey Mike's location. My husband, one year old son, and I recently moved to MD from Hawaii. Back home, we always order the cold California Club that comes with turkey, cheese, avocado, and bacon. Having no idea that this particular sandwich doesn't exist at mainland locations, we ordered it here. The woman who took our order even repeated the sandwiches back to us for confirmation. When we sat down to eat our sandwiches, we opened it up and discovered that they had made both of us hot California Cheesesteak sandwiches. We chalked it up to a simple misunderstanding due to the busy lunch rush. My husband talked to a worker that happened to walk past our table and told him about our sandwiches. He kindly told us that it was no problem, apologized for the miscommunication, and directed us to speak to the woman we presumed was the manager, Anna C. My husband went to speak to Anna, and before he could fully explain the problem with the sandwiches, she rudely told him to stand back in line and that the California Club doesn't exist at this location because they don't have avocado. She also made sarcastic comments about how we must be thinking we are at Jimmy John's and not Jersey Mike's. So he stood at the back of the line and re-ordered the California Club without the avocado. When he finally got to the register, he asked them for the difference in price to be refunded to our card. The manager, Anna C. made her way from the sandwich station to the register to argue with my husband in front of all the customers standing in line. She told him that we would NOT be receiving a refund and I am not exaggerating when I say she YELLED at him, informing him that it was OUR fault for ordering the wrong sandwiches. He told her that the person who took our order repeated the order back to us for confirmation- "California?" so we were under the impression when we paid that we were going to receive the right sandwich. He even showed her a photo that the sandwich exists, it's just not available at this particular location. Despite the obvious misunderstanding, she refused to appropriately compensate us, rudely shoved our wrong (and soggy due to the long wait in line again) sandwiches into the bag and insisted we take them. My husband, obviously upset at this point, asked her to just make the cold California Club without the avocado because that is what we had attempted to order to begin with. We didn't even need the refund at this point, we just wanted the correct sandwiches so that we could eat. She refused again, threatening us to leave or she would call the police. Instead of choosing to be understanding of the obvious miscommunication, the way she spoke to us and handled the situation was demeaning, rude, and aggressive. We reluctantly walked out with the wrong sandwiches. Not only are we out $35 with no sandwiches that we had wanted, I am beyond disappointed. Jersey Mike's used to be my favorite place to eat lunch at. In fact, I even dreamed about the subs when I was pregnant and not able to eat cold deli meat. But after being yelled at by the manager (while holding my child) for an easily fixable situation, I don't think I will ever be returning. read more

The cashier proceeded to fix sandwiches after handling the money at the register which is unacceptable. This is a health hazard. My friend James kept asking me if I had tried Jersey Mike's because it's really good. Well, I finally tried it yesterday. On Wednesday, March 29 they were donating all money to charity, which I figured would be the perfect time to try the place. I had a free advanced movie screening at Arundel Mills that night. So, I figured I would pick this up for an early dinner to eat while I waited in line. I planned to get a medium sandwich, chips, & drink combo since I needed a drink to wash down my food while I will be stranded in the free screening line. I almost always just get water because it's healthier than soda, and I'm either eating in a restaurant, taking to the office, or home. When I walk in, I see the sandwich prices are mostly $6.25 (with a few that are I believe $5.75). To add chips & drink, it's an extra $2.79, which would make the total cost $9 something, which wasn't too terrible for a sub, chips, & drink. I take a minute to decide, and I pick the 'Famous Roast Beef & Provolone'. For one I like roast beef. Second, it was the only one that had an adjective (Famous) before the meat, and since this was my first time trying the place, it would be a good opportunity to try what they are 'famous' for. They sliced my roast beef and put the provolone on, and as they are doing that, I glance at the menu again. Now closer to the menu, I realize the roast beef is $8.25, not $6.25! I would've just gotten turkey or something else had I realized that. It wasn't worth an extra $2 just to get roast beef instead of turkey. Now, it's too late as they have already sliced the roast beef, and there are people behind me. I'm pissed and politely mention this to the sandwich maker. He doesn't respond to that. All I got is lettuce, tomato, & mayo since I don't like onions, peppers, etc. They don't have black olives, which I would've gotten. Then, I got to the cashier, and I say the same thing and that is annoying. I also tell him that I had a $2 off coupon, which I thought was in the car but couldn't find. (This is true before I walked in I looked through the coupon section in my car and couldn't find the Jersey Mike's; maybe, it's at home or thrown away by mistake.) I got the chips since the sandwich wasn't that big and the soda since I would be stranded in the advanced screening line for potentially 45 minutes. The cashier said well it's for charity, which I tell him is good but didn't want to spend that much money on a sub sandwich. I didn't argue with him since I'd look like an asshole for trying to stiff the charity by $2, but I was really annoyed to be spending $11.73 on JUST a medium sub, chips, & a drink. He should've been more apologetic and said I'll give you the $2 off anyway. This makes me not want to come back. I got to the movie and ate in line. The bread was quite tasty, which does make a difference. However, I would've gotten that same bread with the $6.25 turkey. As for the roast beef, it was pretty good but a bit dry. I've had better roast beef like at Bon Fresco on Oakland Mills & Snowden River (see my 5 star review). That one is just under $8 and they have fresh sides other than chips. Even Jimmy John's (also in Columbia & many locations) [See my 4 star review on 7075 Minstrel Way], the roast beef is better to me. I get the sandwich AND chips at JJ for $7. One positive thing about Jersey Mike's was my birthday deal doesn't expire for a year in February 2018. All the other birthday deals I give you a week or two, or sometimes a month, but never a whole year. So, I will be coming back maybe only once more to get my free sandwich, and believe me, I will be ordering from the expensive side of the menu to use my free deal. read more

I want to love this place, I really do! However, three consecutive times in a row we've asked for something on the side and they have always forgotten it as part of our online orders. I always forget to check before I leave, but it's really disheartening when I drive all the way home and I don't have my marinara sauce. Quick & friendly service, & food was pretty decent. I just found the layout a little confusing. Why not have online pickup available right when you walk in so they can get in & out quickly instead of having to go to the back of the room & around the other guests that are there? Then have the walk-in guests/orders go to the back of the counter for placing their orders & come out from the middle?...instead, the walk-in guests order at the middle of the counter & come out near the end. We were reading the menu, & I was all set to walk to the back of the room (beginning of the counter) to place my order, only to find out that was online pickup. Oops. Bottom Line: Delicious quality subs prepared by an efficient staff. The subs at Jersey Mike's are good but what I like most is how efficient, attentive and on the ball the employees are. They are great multi-taskers and clearly motivated. The menu is more varied than I expected. There are many delicious sub options ranging from vegetarian, to tuna to tons of meat. I also like that the subs come in three sizes. When I'm craving a sandwich I like to get the mini which is actually very filling. "Sub in a Tub" is popular for those wanting to skip the soft, white bread and opt for shredded lettuce. For me, this often hits the spot! You can add on chips, cookies and soft drinks. I decided to try this place today. I prefer hot over cold subs & got the famous philly. I'm not big on green peppers and I didn't order it "mikes way" but added mayo. There was no way I could eat the giant size so I stuck with the regular. I think the guy said it was 17 inches or something crazy. He was helpful & patiently waited while I figured out what I wanted. It was pretty good, the cheese tasted like it was melted instead of just placed on top of the grilled steak. Rude!! Horrible customer service!!!!! I went into this location at 8:50pm. Not sure if it's because they close at 9pm or Anna (the person who waited on me, who was VERY aggressive and RUDE!) just didn't want to do my sandwich because they were close to closing and already in the process of cleaning up. I order a #55 (big chicken kahuna) and wanted additional cold toppings on the sandwich (lettuce, tomatoes, extremely light oil & vinegar, etc). I like to see what they are adding and ensure it's the amount I want (it is my sandwich that I am paying for after all). I have ordered the same thing at multiple locations across the country (I live in Los Angeles and travel frequently) with the exact same request - that they add the cold items when the sandwich is done. Anna flat out refused and got an attitude with me. She said she cannot bring chicken and steak to the front area where the cold items are added to sandwiches???? That makes absolutely no sense when all the cold sandwiches with ham, roast beef, chicken etc are made in the exact same area...not to mention the slicer used for meat touches all the meat and has cross contamination (btw I don't eat red meat or pork but I don't complain). Additionally, the grill they cook on is not cleaned after each sandwich and is use for both steak and chicken - which invalidates everything she said. But despite all that it was the extremely rude and aggressive nature in which she spoke to me as a customer - completely inappropriate and uncalled for especially when I never raised my voice or even got aggressive/agitated in response. She said they are individually owned and have different policies from other locations. Well I will take my business elsewhere and not be back to this location ever!! By the way she talked to me I am sure she could care less; but they just lost a customer. I will also be sharing this experience with my family & friends as well. Disappointed at this experience when ending my night and just trying to simply get a sandwich for dinner. Instead I left out. I want this location to have my true star rating to represent all the great visits here. This location always has quality food, service, and a pleasant sammich shop atmosphere. If we're not dining in, I'll use their app which allows for easy customization of the orders and prepay. So, all I have to do is run in, collect my bag of delish and be on my way. Today was a bit of disappointment. I ordered for my wife a turkey wrap on wheat with lettuce, honey mustard and mayo. At home, we discovered a turkey wrap on white with lettuce, mayo, and Mike's Way (which is vinegar, oil, onions, and seasonings). Mike's Way is rather tasty to add to some sammiches but not when you didn't order it. Plus it made the wrap soggy. My order of a Big Kahuna Chicken Cheese Steak in a tub is my default because it's different for a sammich Dixon and healthier. Getting it in a tub drops all the empty calories from the bread. But it wasn't very warm today. It was missing the usual jalapeños and mushrooms but did have bacon added - two strips - as requested. My daughter's fav - Club Sun on white with bacon added was perfect. They also have Mrs Vicks chips (among others) and the Jalapeño chips are just enough of a kick for anyone to enjoy. If you want a good sammich (or just the fixins in a plastic container), JM's is worth a try. In the dozens of times we've visited, this is the first time an order has been wrong that wasn't my error. Terrible service during covid - online order not ready even 15 min past time it was supposed to be ready. Poorly organized pickup (you have to look at each bag so everyone swarms pickup station inside, not safe for social distancing) and would not answer phone for me to ask when order would be ready. I'm happy to wait for an order if there's a safe way to do so and I can make sure that my order was received, but being stuck inside with too many people too close with no way to know if my food is being made... I have been going to this store since they opened. Never again. The manager doubted me. They made our subs wrong and when I called the manager told me that the lady who made the subs has been working there 4 years and that they were made correctly. If I wanted them to remake them then I would have to bring the subs back to the store and wait for them to remake. Downside is they cut the meats right then so if you go at a busy time, you won't be in and out. Restaurant is a little dark, too. I'll definitely eat here again, though. read more

I was not familiar with their menu and I politely asked the man behind the counter what sizes of subs he had and he rolled his eyes and took a sub roll and slammed it on the counter.
