Stumbled upon this place while looking for a deli shop. It was easy to find but you can tell it gets busy. The place is a good size but on the smaller side. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads and soups. As well as pastries and glass bottled drinks. Staff were friendly and helped me decide which sandwich to choose since it was my first time there. I went with the Picante Chicken sandwich which has a good amount of heat from their house made picante sauce, tasted delicious and the bread was soft and fresh. I also got the potato salad as a side. The portion is small but a great sample size for me to determine if I want a bigger size next time, which I will get a bigger size my next visit. Overrall, great first sandwich, awesome service. How have I never reviewed this place????? Been here so many times. Geez I started coming here 15 years ago with work friends. Because it's just that good. My understanding is that all of the baked goods are made from scratch fresh daily in the restaurant. So the breads are great. The various sandwiches and other lunchtime mains are fantastic. Service is great -- the staff is always polite and happy. Definitely not quiet but not loud at all. It is very small with limited and tight tables. Buddy and I sat outside today to eat, surprisingly. Amazing! Ordered the London broil, picante chicken breast sandwich and the clam chowder. The chowder was ok, but I was told I need to try their tomato soup instead. I came across this as I searched my yelp. Read the reviews and I appeared here. I was greeted with a sweet cashier once I entered. There are many sandwich options but the one that stood out was the signage on the counter. I chose the London Broiled Thinly slice steak on Ciabotta. I see why this is a popular choice. Mouth watering delicious!! Its a constant customer flow but not a wait. My sandwich came out hot and toasted quickly. This is not a fancy looking place. Rather a lil unorganized but not that it bothered the food and service. There are some seats inside but I chose to eat in the car. The breads are baked here fresh. This is a great place to go for soups and sandwiches! I've been there a couple of times. I've gotten their London broil, mozzarella, tomatoes and prosciutto sandwiches. They make their rolls on site, so the bread is fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also have gotten just a bowl of soup; and with cand a piece of that great bread. The sandwiches here have been great ... especially the ones in the round bread roll. That bread just has the perfect texture for sandwiches. The outside has a very thin and crispy crust, and the inside soft but isn't too pillowy. It's hard to explain. You just have to try it out. Their corned beef sandwich and london broil served on that roll are so good. Unfortunately, we recently we got a chicken breast sandwich with the baguette, and that did not deliver a good experience (it was excellent in the past). The little chicken, the chicken was dry, the red peppers and onions did not have much flavor. The filling just didn't taste good. I don't know what happened or of this was just a fluke because the chicken sandwiches i had here in the past were great. The saving grace was the baguette was very good and we can see why people just buy the baguette to take home. Anyway, I'm giving this place 4 stars b/c the sandwiches have been excellent, but really i might have to give it 3 due to the poor chicken sandwich, but i'm hoping it was a fluke. read more

Ok the London broil sandwich is fantastic on a French bread baguette. This place is known for it, so I won't waste time telling you about the perfect steak is tender and delicious. What people sleep on is the soup. I had a bowl of the tomato saffron soup which came with the softest mini loaf of bread. Both myself and my toddler finished a bowl and loaf. Saffron is not something I would think of adding to soup which is weird cause I grew up with saffron in everything including ice cream. It is delectable. We came here for lunch one busy weekday in Fall 2024. Bon Fresco does a thriving carryout business at this location. It's small and cramped parking lot made me wonder whether the design is ideally suited for a whole bunch of coming and going; to us it did not matter as our plan was to eat in. We ordered the London Broil "special" and enjoyed it thoroughly. Everything was just about perfect in terms of the food itself: freshness, taste, flavor, size (big without being ridiculous) and price (just over $10). There were a lot of places Bob Fresco could have fallen short but we found nothing, food-wise, to improve upon. Ambience-wise, the tiny and cramped seating area was hot (had to be 80 degrees if not close), cramped and just a little bit dirty. These certainly are areas for improvement and I withheld a star accordingly. read more

I went to Bob Fresco with a few friends one Spring evening before we went to play tennis. I moved to Maryland in March so this is one of my first eating out experiences as a new Maryland resident. It was a cool day so my friends were thinking soup and sandwich. There was a special for the London Broil sandwich and one of my friends recommended it. It was sooo good!! Everything from the fresh made bread to the meat and all that goes on the sandwich paired well together. I thoroughly enjoyed it!! The service was good as well, but not very memorable to be honest. We were there close to their closing time and they weren't rushing us out so that counts for something. The place is a bit small but there are a few tables for customers who want to dine in. It is clean and is located in a nice quiet area in Columbia. I recommend coming here to try the London Broil sandwich. I've yet to go back and try anything else from the menu, but I'm confident they have other great items to satisfy taste buds. read more

Finally made it to Bon Fresco with the hubby after years of meaning to visit. We're so glad we did. Sandwich was bomb. Soup was excellent. And THAT BREAD. My husband literally cannot stop talking about that bread. Bread lovers rejoice! This sandwich place actually bakes their own bread and it is heavenly! The sandwich rolls are like ciabatta rolls except much much tastier. Heated, it has a crusty outside and soft and airy inside. It definitely makes every sandwich so delicious.
