When I saw matcha on the menu, I knew I had to check this place out! There were unique flavors ranging from pistachio matcha (for taste of Dubai ) to honey lavender matcha (if you're needing a sip of relaxation). I enjoyed how fresh and cohesive the flavors were! There's also a variety of pastries offered. These are baked in their Columbia location and brought to Arundel Mills. I was intrigued by the variety of savory treats, some topped with cheese and beef, others with vegetables. I was also delighted to see macaroons, that looked pretty authentic. With all the solid options present, I landed in a pistachio donut! Now, I will say I had a bit higher expectations for the donut. The donut itself was delicious, but I would have appreciated more pistachio throughout the cream in the center or maybe even skipping out on the cream altogether. This is now my go-to tous Les jours, despite it being a bit farther from me than other locations. I tried the Ellicott City location first but it pales in comparison to this location. There's more natural light, the parking lot is easier to enter/exit, and there's no time limit to your visit! Also if you sit by the wall, there are outlets that make this a perfect study spot! The customer service is great and the drinks come out quick, even during the lunch rush. I'm a simple girl so when I see a croquette, it's going on my tray. Today I opted for a kimchi croquette and I was lucky to get the last one. Thankfully, their holiday drinks are still on the menu and the gingerbread latte was delish. I came in to get some pastries and a coffee, and I wasn't disappointed. I got a few different kinds of macarons, but my favorite was the Earl Grey. The macaroons had a soft interior with a thin crust outside that gives it a nice texture. This aesthetically savy cafe is amazing and relaxing. It has the same lay out and feel of the Paris Baguette in Towson, MD. They have a nice size sitting/ table area. Love this cute chain that's been popping up in the Baltimore area! TLJ is a Korean and French inspired bakery cafe. They have trays when you first walk in which you can use to select your pastries - they have donuts, pastries both sweet and savory, and breads. Take them to the counter to pay where you can also order drinks. The inside is cute and welcoming, bright and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful too! Hello yumminess! Each time we come, we try something new. I should have taken photos of what I chose, but I was so hungry. The pastries with little hot dogs were tasty. The mini apple danishes were good, while the rectangular pizza topped with veggies won the day! Because it was a Sunday afternoon, the place was packed. A coworker recommended this place so I went there this morning before heading to work to surprise my team with some sweets. A couple of varieties: Pain au chocolate, strawberry cheese danish, cherry cheese danish, almond croissant, strawberry donut, vanilla donut and apple caramel danish. Before visiting, I reviewed the online menu and discovered that they offer ube-flavored drinks, which made me eager to go there specifically for that. The place is quite large. Upon entering, I was a bit overwhelmed by the bakery section's size and the number of customers inside. Since it was relatively crowded, I got in line and browsed the menu while I waited. However, I did not see any ube-flavored beverages listed, so I had to come up with a quick alternative. I overheard a customer discussing her made-to-order strawberry matcha, which inspired me to try that as a substitute for ube. When I reached the cashier, I ordered the strawberry matcha and decided to get a second drink. I asked the cashier if they had ube drinks as shown online. She looked up at the menu and replied that they did, but when I glanced at it after she looked up, ube was still not specified. I'm unsure what she was looking at, as she did not attempt to point it out. As a newcomer to this place, I finally figured out the flow of ordering and picking up drinks. I walked over to the pickup station, but there was only one of my drinks ready. I informed the male staff member that I ordered two. He looked confused, double-checked the order sheet, and then said, "Oh." He proceeded to prepare the second drink. The first drink took a little while, but he prepared the second one in under two minutes. He called out the order number and slid the drink to the middle of the counter, and that was it. When did customer service stop being a part of the business model? Yes, the business has an appealing aesthetic with features not commonly found in other bakeries. They also offered a wide variety of self-serve bakery items, along with other items in the glass display. However, the first staff member I encountered was neither friendly nor cordial; she gave the impression that she did not want to be there. Her abrupt responses and limited communication conveyed a message of, "I just work here, can I take your order?" Additionally, the barista showed no accountability for failing to prepare the full order. I genuinely wanted to enjoy this experience and was excited to try one of the ube beverages. I don't know what's going on, but I feel like I was racially profiled at this location. I came in one day around 11or so to buy some items. I was the only one browsing at the time. A worker came out and was following and side-eyeing me the entire time. She never asked if I wanted help or needed anything. It also seemed like she was fake wiping the glass sometimes to disguise this behavior. As soon as I walked to the register to purchase, she went to back to the kitchen. Some will try to say oh that's not this, but as a black person, please don't! When you live it, you know. I went back a few weeks later and found the staff very rude. I love tous les jours cakes, but bakery experiences have never been the best, especially when compared to other asian bakeries nearby. Their spinach feta danish was good, but there could've been more filling. Props for them for not charging extra for their alternative milks! I was so happy when I found out Columbia was getting a Tous Les Jours! I've been meaning to come here since they opened and I finally got the chance to visit this last weekend. It's pretty spacious, but with it being a Saturday morning, there weren't many empty tables and seats, but I was lucky to find an empty table in the corner. I've been to a couple of their other locations, so I already knew what I was going to get. I absolutely love their veggie croquette. They have a kimchi and a curry one, but the veggie one is my favorite. I also got the custard and almond pretzel, and this was my first time trying it. It was pretty good! For my drink, I ordered a white coconut chai with oat milk. It was also my first time trying this flavor of chai and I really liked it. I spent a few hours working here while munching on these baked goods. I'll say it was a moderate level of noise, so it was fine working out of here and I was able to get a lot of work done. read more

Came in to pick up some goodies for a friend. I came in on a Sunday evening, a few hours before closing. While the selection wasn't as large as it usually is, they still had common favorites in stock. The chocolate croissant, chocolate covered croissant and almond pastries were good as usual. I really enjoy how buttery and flaky the croissants are. I also had a red bean bun - these are usually one of my favorite items to pick up, but for some reason they tasted a bit off during this visit. When it came to packaging up my order, they packed each pastry in a plastic bag and placed everything together in a paper bag. I found this odd as I usually get a box of all of my pastries - not sure if they just ran out of boxes that evening or if this is what they're doing moving forward. This wasn't great for presentation, but thankfully the quality of the goodies makes up for it. I also had a hot chocolate since it was chilly out. The drink came out warm, instead of hot. Honestly, I'm a regular at TLJ and it never disappoints. I always get the hot tiramisu latte, it's seriously one of the best drinks around. The vibe is super chill, the staff are always friendly, and it's just one of those spots that feels good to hang out in. We love coming here for pastries, cakes, and lattes! My favorite drinks are the ube latte (hot) and all of their matcha lattes. I've been especially loving their new pistachio matcha latte! They never disappoint with their pastries both savory and sweet. Our favorite cake is their mango cloud and chocolate. I would recommend this place to anyone! Wow! What a lovely and unique bakery! There is so much to choose from! Such a variety of bakery items from cakes to croissants, sweet breads and savory treats, and sandwiches. There's something for everyone! There's also a good variety of coffee and other beverages as well. Very well organized and labeled. You pick up a tray and your own set of tongs and make your selections and head to the counter to order your beverage and pay. Staff are friendly and helpful if you need something and ask, but not so forthcoming with greeting guests. Not too big a deal, but it would've been nice to have been greeted. I love the fact that one of my favorite Korean bakery is near by my home. I went there 5 times now. Twice, I said down and chilled. Interior is cozy and cute. Plenty of space to sit down and relax. Staff are excellent and welcoming. I couldn't give 5 stars because one time I went there, the bathroom was not clean. Maybe they are short staffed cuz they just opened but few tables were not wiped clean. Selection of pastries isn't great compare to the one in Ellicott city. Good to see a new location opened here in Columbia. Came in after dinner, dark out but bright inside. Spacious, looks fairly clean, but can use more swiping. Bakery selections were ok, that could be due to the time we came in, later on in the day and they don't put out more items and only trying to sell what's out. Price is about the same as the other locations. Staff were efficient, but no smile, didn't feel very friendly, rather robotically getting through the shift LOL Convenient parkings in the shopping center. I love tous les jours and am so happy to have one in my neighborhood. It was great in the beginning but lately I noticed that the quality has gone down for some of my favorite products. For instance I always used to get the flatties every time, but lately they have been sooo over-baked so that they have a burnt taste, so I can't get them anymore. I also like the salt bread but recently it has been really small and not the best quality. Also the garlic croissant is squished and slightly overcooked. And why don't they put the croquettes in the warming machine?? I still go here regularly but I wish they would pay better attention to quality when baking or I will have to start going to Ellicott City instead. read more

I had the most ridiculous experience at this tlj. I ordered three coffees, but they never gave me a pager. After waiting for a while with my party, I went to check on our drinks. The staff rudely told me they had already called them out n pointed to the counter. The coffee was already lukewarm by then, when I asked for a fresh, hot cup, their response was unbelievable: they told me to bring the cups back so they could 'microwave' them for us. I have never heard of a café offering to microwave cold coffee instead of brewing fresh ones, especially when it was their mistake not to provide a pager I was so speechless that I just told them to forget it. I've been a regular at this cafe ever since they first opened, and it's honestly shocking how much the quality has declined over time. What used to be a place I actually enjoyed visiting has turned into somewhere I now actively avoid. First of all, the pastries are incredibly inconsistent. One day they look one way, the next day they look completely different. The taste changes just as much as the appearance. Sometimes they're dry, sometimes they're overly sweet, and sometimes they just taste stale. For a bakery that's supposed to specialize in pastries, you'd expect at least a basic level of consistency, but that clearly isn't a priority here anymore. While I will say that the employees themselves are generally polite and seem to try their best, it's painfully obvious that the management is doing a terrible job running this place. I've personally seen cockroaches and other pests crawling across the floor more than once, even when the front of the cafe appears clean. That is absolutely unacceptable for any food establishment. A clean-looking floor means nothing if there are still pests running around, and it makes me seriously question what the kitchen situation looks like behind the scenes. Another ongoing issue is that they are constantly sold out of basic items. Every time I come in, there are multiple things missing from the menu. For a bakery of this size, that makes absolutely no sense. If you're running out of products this often, that means whoever is in charge of ordering and inventory simply isn't doing their job properly. Customers shouldn't have to come in hoping something will still be available. Between the declining quality, the pest issue, and the constant lack of inventory, this place has become a huge disappointment. It's really unfortunate because this cafe had a lot of potential when it first opened, but it seems like management has completely let things go. At this point, I won't be coming back, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable bakery. While not terribly far, my friends and I would purposefully plan to pick up cakes from their Ellicott City location and now they're right in town! ...and *wow* with a beautiful, bright, big space!! Tours Les Jours is one of my favorite cozy cafes where I can read books and drink coffee. The service is friendly and has a reasonable speed. They offer a variety of pastries as well as beverages. There's also a huge parking lot, so finding a spot shouldn't be an issue. read more
