Cake/snack selection

Delimanjoo is a hidden gem in Ellicott City - their taiyaki is a must-try! The stand is located inside Lotte Plaza, all the way down left from the entrance. They sell roll cakes, Korean pastries, and snacks, but my go-to since childhood has been their taiyaki - fish-shaped pastries with red bean custard filling. They're always served fresh and hot, which is a plus. The ladies running the stand are sweet as well, and it's pretty grab-and-go. Each fish costs $2.50, which is higher than before, but reasonable. I highly recommend checking this place out! I often find myself craving taiyaki, so I'll certainly be back.

Had a hankering for the fish-bread so decided to try. Very affordable at $2 a piece. Outside is crunchy and inside is filled with red beans. Yummy! Wish they had more you buy more you save kind of a deal. I tried this first in LA and they had value deals.

Bungeoppang, or tayaki, or red bean filled fish cake pastry is the hot item from this little food stall in the Lotte grocery store complex. Hot off the grill, the pastry is crispy on the outside and warm and chewy on the inside. The red bean paste is perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. At $2 a piece, it's a good deal to tie your hunger over until you get home with your groceries. Currently do not have the J shaped ice cream thing, the owner said something to do with covid? Oh well, will just have to come back for it later!

I'm addicted !!! What a find....love this place! Fresh... If you are looking for authentic Asian bakery....this is a must go.... Fish w red bean - Delish- I come here once a week... All the bakery goods are fresh and so yummy... Do your stomach a favor...and come feed your belly

It looks better than what it actually tastes. First off, they have a ton of sample spoons next to the ice cream but get really angry and say no if you ask for a sample. I went ahead and tried it out anyways...come to find the cute little fish cone/bread is actually frozen and hard. They pre-preserve it for their own convenience so I couldnt actually eat it which was sad. I enjoyed the custard in the inside, definitely not worth trying again, especially considering their horrible customer service!

Etta hugs her sister goodbye, opens her front door, and is stunned to be greeted by her friend Steve Trevor and the Wonder Woman, who will soon request access to ingredients from her sister's bakery so that she can cast a spell to grow her arm back, in Kelly Thompson and Hayden Sherman's fourth issue of Absolute Wonder Woman from DC Comics. "Remember all the times I mercilessly teased you about Diana and how she couldn't possibly be all that you were describing?" she confides to Steve. "Vividly." "Yeah, you undersold." "Told you." Across the highway from the Ellicott City, Maryland location of Tous Les Jour, Shilla Bakery might very well also be described as "undersold," but its mocha roll cakes (and other flavors too) and fried twist donuts are both memorable and great for sharing, if you can resist the temptation to hoard them for yourselves.

I went specifically for one of their cream cakes. The bakery also carries a wide selection both sweet vs savory items not seen in typical local bakeries. The displays are well laid out. You grab a basket and select items that are neatly wrapped. Cream filled pastries are smooth in texture and I did not find them overly sweet. There were flavors such as strawberry, mocha, Nutella or white cream to name a few. My favorite is their red bean filled doughnut. I wished I lived closer but maybe it's a good idea I didn't. The birthday cake I went for was a Chocolate Cream...the cake had 3 layers of a light chiffon with buttercream frosting and did not taste overly sweet. They were able to place a Happy Birthday greeting on the spot and packed it in a beautiful box to easily carry home.

I got a sampler of their cake slices. They were remarkably spongy and moist. The flavors varied, but overall went over well. I particularly enjoyed the mango. I was hoping to see samosas laid out beside the cakes and was a bit puzzled that I didn't. Some of their hot food specialties were interesting but I had other plans.

In Nov 2025, we had the Black Forest, which they always decorate for us with a little message for a grown-up's birthday! In Dec, we asked for a custom decoration for a 2-year-old's birthday, which they happily decorated with sprinkles and colorful icing :-) The birthday-child couldn't resist a swipe at the icing :-) We a picture of a cup of tea in their window. They make hot aromatic milky sweet spiced Masala chai black tea to-order. And they make thin tender crumbly short-bread-like jeera cumin cookies, so delightfully flavored. Perfect for our drive to the party! We're see they also have a broader food menu including samosas, chaat, parottas, and more, and handhelds, including wraps, sandwiches, and even burgers! Chicken burgers, mutton burgers, Impossible and other veggie burgers! I hope to try those soon!

People do seem to respect the 90MIN seating window though so you should be able to find a seat. You order and pay at the counter first and then they give you a table number card. This is how they find you to serve your food. I ordered a regular matcha latte, a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on croissant bread and their famous croffle. I loved their matcha latte. It's pre-sweetened so no need to add extra vanilla syrup or anything. This does not taste like a traditional matcha, which in my opinion tastes like dirt. This is a sweeter, dessert like matcha. I didn't care for the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. It was kind of dry and it tasted like something was missing. The croffle was amazing. It has a nutty, pecan like taste to it and it was topped with vanilla gelato and blueberries. I couldn't really taste the maple syrup but it was delicious nonetheless.

I really enjoyed the cappuccino, and I like that they offer agave as a sweetener. That said, I do wish the cappuccino had a bolder coffee flavor. On its own, it leaned a bit too milky for my taste. However, once I added an extra shot, it made a big difference, I got the richer coffee flavor I was looking for along with an extra boost. The temperature was good, but I did notice that even when I requested it extra hot, it came out the same each time, which was a bit puzzling. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. It's a nice spot, and I would definitely come back if I'm in the area.
