Came here 3 days in a row at 730am. The service by the elderly couple was great. They made my lattes quickly. I got a mocha and a lavender latte and both were excellently. The last day I got a drip coffee for 2.40 total. The price of all the drinks was very reasonably and the size of the drinks were a good size. Like the size of a grande but for the price of a tall drink from Starbucks. The place is pretty spacious and has a homely feel. I didn't have time to hang out but it was nice and quiet. This spot is located in a quiet plaza where we take our dogson to the vet. We've seen this spot and haven't tried it until now. [What we been waiting for; who knows!?] As you walk in, you feel as if you're in a little coffee shop in another country. They have nice decor on the walls, soft classical music, and the entire set up was welcoming and inviting. ORDER: Medium Iced Toffee Nut Latte - This is the perfect combination of toffee and nut flavor. It's the perfect amount of sweetness and will leave you refreshed. Small Iced Caramella Latte - I'm not sure what exactly this is but it's caramel and has whipped cream. This was definitely delicious and refreshing. They have a variety of pastries along the counter that I'll have to try next time. [See pictures] The menu entailed sandwiches and other food items. We didn't get to try them but they sounded yummy. Service was good. The owners were welcoming and nice. There's a little coffee station; where you can add extras to your coffee (the usual cream, sugar, straws, etc.). There's a cool bookshelf of books. I suspect customers can grab a book to read while enjoying their drink/breakfast. Now that we've tried it; we'll be coming back often. Casey's is a small Mom & Pop venue that is a hidden gem of sorts in Columbia/Ellicott City. I discovered this cafe by accident while stopping at the nearby supermarket. The two proprietors (husband & wife from Korea) are very warm to their repeat customers, and pretty relaxed with new customers such as myself. Casey's expresso & breakfast choices of a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich are palatable (I think that I paid $6 total), and the seating areas are pretty decent. The cafe radiates a feel of one of those small cafes that you would find at a major airport such as Dulles, DCA, or BWI. There is even a small library that customers can peruse through while enjoying their coffee, which is always pretty good. While I'm all in favor of heading into old towne Ellicott City or further down Columbia Parkway for quality coffee, Casey's is certainly on my radar when it comes to starting my day with a strong brew at a very reasonable price. read more

The Cappuccinos and all Coffees are the best in Columbia, but they have a nasty habit of CLOSING if it's slow. Hence, at least five occasions I've found myself standing there at one to two o'clock, staring at the sign that indicates that he SHOULD be open until four pm. Unacceptable behavior, and no, these aren't emergencies, and no, their phone is merely a recording. Only the owner's time is valuable to him. It's frustrating in that it would be so easy to let us know via their answering machine before leaving early, giving everyone a little notice. I've suggested it to no avail. read more

I used to go here regularly, as I like supporting local businesses over a big chain coffee shop. They are extremely hit or miss, whenever the Korean woman is working I get great food and service; however, the Korean man gives terrible food and customer service! I've noticed when making my sandwiches, he always uses what appears to be old produce that are well past the end of their edible life. I've given him the benefit of the doubt and several second and third chances, yet he systematically gives me old lettuce and tomatoes etc which make the sandwich taste horrible. I witnessed him wipe the knife he was using to make my sandwich off on a piece of plastic that was sticking out of a trash can, he also will forget things from your order so double check before leaving. Three times now I've seen him snack on cucumbers while he was putting them on my sandwich. If the women is working 100% great place, but if it's that man WALK OUT! read more

This place has so much unmet potential! It's a cute shop with coffee and tea on par with Starbucks, but the vibe is really off putting. It's super dark in the store and very limited seating. I got a bagel which was underwhelming, it tasted like something I would buy in the frozen section of a grocery store, very processed and lacking flavor. Let me keep it real with you guys, I was not expecting this one at all. I walk in at about 2 o'clock in the afternoon. As I step through the door I look around and see that no one is there--NOW, listen: any sane person would turn right back around and leave HOWEVER, I saw the light. I go in wanting a coffee (naturally, its their namesake) and take a breif moment before choosing the Iced Americano. Sounds classy. More classy than usual. Perhaps something is in the air. What else was in the air? The sound of my stomach, growling. I'm looking for something light--not too light mind you, but light!--and something moderately healthy. My eyes dart to the BLT. Perfect. "A medium iced americano and a BLT please!" The owner is delighted. He charges me card and politely lets out a "thank you very much!" How quaint. I sit down and am IMMEDIATELY immersed in a delightful eating experience. I look around me and see a vast array of colors spread throughout the different tables and chair. Just behind me (I was sitting in what some would consider the corner of the café) is a shelf chalk-full of books. A reason to come back, as I did not have the time to spend reading such classics as Tom Clancy. But I would very much like that time :) The coffee was superb: Dark, rich and with not too much ice. Casey's Coffee is your typical coffee shop. The usual coffee items fill their menu with nothing creative distinguishing it from other coffee shops. There are a number of pastries and bagel items for you to choose from, but somehow still falls short. The setting is quite nice for doing work outside the office, although I am unsure if they have free wifi. This small little detail may have convinced me to give 4 stars instead of 3. Caseys Coffee is a quiet little coffee shop in the Dorsey Search Village center. In a world where there are too many computers and high-tech gadgets, it is refreshing to see a little shop where you can go and read a good book in peace. The food is very good, although not earth shattering in it's choices. I had the lox and cream cheese bagel which was wonderful. The egg and cheese and bacon or ham sandwiches are made while you wait using real eggs, ham/bacon, and cheese (not the pre-made stuff you see in many fast food places). What is particularly delightful is the fact that it is indeed a neighborhood coffeeshop where everyone knows each other and you always get a friendly smile. This is a wonderful place to get fresh food at a decent price, with a combination of neighborly camaraderie, great books to read (they are not for rent...the sign says), and an opportunity to reconnect with your children without the distraction of gadgets. read more
