I would definitely choose the Aloha cookie over any cookie at Crumbl and it's way cheaper too. I also purchased a maple bacon and German chocolate cupcake, which my husband and I split. Both were delicious, however, we thought the bacon was a bit too smoky. I wanted to try the salted caramel, but it wasn't available. Aside from cupcakes and cookies, they also sell brownies, pies, and prepackaged popcorn. They had sample popcorn available, which I took advantage of. I was freaking out because I forgot to order a cake for a birthday party on the weekend. I knew I wanted it to be customized too so that added to the dilemma. I happened to come across this bakery, which I AM SO GRATEFUL the universe did so. I placed an order through their online form on Wednesday (at 11:30pm - i said i forgot lol!) for a FRIDAY pick up time. I received a reply from the owner Thursday morning at 9am. We had all the details settled by 12pm that day. I went to pick up my cake and was super impressed! Exactly what I wanted. As for taste of the cake - everyone who had a slice raved on how good it was! So, I think I may have found my go to bakery for birthday cakes / other special occasions. An added bonus - the price point wasn't bad. I paid $80 for a cake that feeds 12-15 people. I've heard other places charge $120. I recently reread an old review I wrote about a cake I had years ago for my son, and it reminded me of a more recent experience. I was looking for a bakery near my job to celebrate a coworker's work anniversary and came across Oh, What A Cake. Wanting to support a local business, I decided to place an order with them. The cake I ordered was simple, with a short message written on top. I added the Lifesavers afterward for a personal touch. The frosting was absolutely delicious, but unfortunately, the cake itself was a bit dry, which left me disappointed. I also picked up some cupcakes along with the cake and it was incredibly moist, definitely so much better than the cake, so there's still hope. Some of my coworkers also mentioned the cake being dry and crumbly, though the guest of honor had no complaints. It was disheartening because I'd love to become a regular customer and support them consistently, but no one enjoys a dry, crumbly cake. That said, their cupcakes are excellent, and I'll definitely consider ordering those in the future. One thing I really appreciated was the sampling station which they offer samples of different cake flavors as well as a variety of flavored popcorn, which is a fun and tasty touch. 3.5 stars Finally got to try out this bakery after driving by it several times. I freely admit that I am a little spoiled when it comes to bakeries and cakes. There is so much that goes into the experience for me way before that first bite of cake. When you walk into a bakery, the way it looks, the smell, and the service immediately start setting the tone. I ordered a dozen cupcakes to try out with a couple of friends. Do note that there is a difference in price between "premium" and regular cupcakes ($2.50 vs. $2.75). What is a premium cupcake, you ask? Anything other than chocolate or vanilla. Who knew? The cupcakes are pretty small, barely cresting the wrapper. They are moist, fresh, but for me, the frosting to cake ratio was inadequate. I am a bit particular on this, but Mrs. T and J. think the balance was just fine. Their overall score 7/10. The shop was pretty dark (low lighting, not much in the way of the decor) and seemed quite disorganized. An attendant was assisting a customer with an order, and another customer and a kid were waiting at the register. The lady taking the order looked at me when I walked in, didn't bother saying "hello," "welcome," or "someone would be right with you"--nothing--0/10 on friendliness. The lady who served me was not wearing gloves when she started setting the cupcakes in the crate and when I asked her to put some on. She said she had just used hand sanitizer but thankfully did end up putting on a glove. read more

This was maybe my 3rd or 4th time here in the last 5 years. I've been on a cupcake mission and did my own cupcake crawl. What I learned about these cupcakes is: They are available in 2 sizes (I prefer the larger muffin like size) and they are FILLED (praise him). Not only are they filled, they are filled with the perfect amount and the filling is flavorful. The icing (I'm not a fan of a lot of icing), is delicious and the amount frosted is not too much. The problem is the cake. For whatever reason, it's missing something to give it weight & hold. Does it need more egg maybe? Not only that but, the flavor is lacking. The chocolate tastes watered down. It wasn't chocolatey, it just tastes brown #whomp. The red velvet was good, but again watered down. Both cupcakes fell apart as I ate them. I'm still gonna give them another try because I think it's an easy fix. I think the batter was stretched which is what led to this mayhem. I'll just ask that you all not do that so I can come back and choose you over everyone else. And you are closer to where I live!!! This is a great bakery here in Columbia!!! I called Friday afternoon to inquire about their jumbo cupcakes. Honestly, EVERYTHING they make has always been DELICIOUS The make a few extra large cupcakes with fillings. My favorites are the raspberry filled and lemon filled. My family would get the baked goodies a few times a year growing up. It has never failed to bring a smile to my face. Since my diet change I can no longer eat there but I would for sure recommend this business to others. It is a little bit difficult to find. It isn't particularly on a main road so if you are not actively looking for it, you are going to mis it. The bakery itself is quite small on the inside but it has always been super clean and quite. Now that they are on DoorDash, I can have them delivered and waiting for me on Friday. My only complaint is their limited hours and that I will never be able to get a birthday cake from them. So, let me start by saying the customer service at this place is great! She walked me through the cake ordering process both times that I ordered from here, and reassured me with a few things, even helped pick colors. I ordered marble cake, and it was a pretty good tasting cake. And I feel as though their standard prices are very reasonable, however like most places you will be charged extra for design and fondant (I believe there was around a $25 design fee and $10 for fondant). But, like I said, I've ordered twice and both times there have been slight imperfections in the cakes. This last time, it was the crisp and cleanliness of the cut out letters on the cake board, and the unevenness of the fondant on the cake. I love this place! They got me out of a birthday pinch last year and created an amazing red velvet cake for my fiance. It was moist and the cream cheese frosting was just right. So naturally this year I went straight back to them for this year's birthday cake. I had a Friends themed cake in mind and they brought every.single.thing. I asked for to life. So delicious and exactly what I asked for re: decorations. Also one of the few smaller cakes I could find. I've always wanted to try this bakery out and finally got the chance to do it because it's on DOORDASH. Well, I got 3 cupcakes and loved the strawberry and salted caramel one. The caramel one taste like it has brown sugar in it which made me fall in love. I also got the red velvet but the frosting was gritty and just tasted like whipped sugar (if that makes sense) all in all I am definitely ordering from here again.
