I agree with the first reviewer of this place, "Hidden gem" indeed. I have to say that I give this…read morerestaurant predominately El Salvadoran food.. a 4 1/2 stars but I will round it off to 5 stars for the fact that I am not well-versed in Central American food although I have had it a few handfuls before. From what I DO know and how my taste buds react, this place is legit. Since this business is barely on the radar much less,Yelp's radar... I thought I would hurry and write a review for this Mom n Pop joint in hopes it would help make this restaurant bloom. My whole family and I were on a bike ride along the BWI trail and I was taking in the scenery and this place caught my eye from the back of it's business... I noticed the small sign and read "Christy's Latin Bakery & Café" ...I yelled at my husband ahead of me to make a stop, betting each other that the place might be closed on Memorial Day... he quickly reminded me that if they're truly Latin then they wouldn't care about closing on an American holiday... I concurred and we rode our bikes around the corner. The bakery section is what catches your eye at first when you walk in with a glass closet full of Latin sweet breads and a glass case in the front adorned with Latin desserts. In between both is a wall of Wedding/Birthday cake examples of the possible popular choices. Since we were in a hurry to get home, we picked out a few sweet breads for our girls, flan, and tres leches for later after dinner. Later that day we decided to go back for dinner and glad we did. We ordered an array of goodies, so much that the lady said in Spanish that it might be too much food for just us. Haha! So we took off one papusa off the order. :) We ordered one bean/cheese papusa, chicken/veggie croquete, carne asada tacos, The bean/cheese papusa was very good but not the best I've had but definitely worth trying. The chicken/veggie croquete was not seasoned very well and hardly memorable. The carne asada tacos were good although the seasoning could've been just a tad bit more aggressive. Overall, I had seen most of the customers were Latino and word just needs to get out for the gringos to come out and try something new for this area. Come out, come out, wherever you are!

They also make fresh fruit smoothies. I got a papaya smoothie which was sweet and refreshing. They make everything fresh to order so it is worth a wait. The place is nice and clean, and they play lively Latino music. I like this place a lot and will be back soon!

Ambience is casual, service is pretty quick and it was a visual treat gazing at the lovely looking pastries and cakes. Parking can be cramped as it's a small restaurant located off a small street. I'll be eating in and So far I've ordered a horchata and a carne asada burrito. Looking around they have some Latin snacks available, as well as birthday decorations and such for their cakes. it doesn't look like you get chips and salsa when you dine in. The horchata is creamy, very sweet and has the right balance of cinnamon. The burrito is authentic af. The asada is perfectly cooked. It has the look of a home made, with nothing but love burrito. The red sauce has the right amount of kick . The verde is perfect! A burrito busting out the seams!!! While I was here I noticed someone order hot coffee with cream.( cafe con leche) which is not on the menu. They have specials and there are always people coming in and grabbing the pastries. My waitress was amazing and I can't recommend this place enough.

When I was in Glen Burnie I made a point to swing by early in the morning. As others have pointed out, they are cash only so be prepared in advance (they did accept Venmo). It was challenging to get out of the house at the planned time (read: we have a threenager) and I knew that it would make a difference getting there early. We arrived to a full parking lot and you can imagine my fading excitement as I watched the two remaining chocolate frosted yeast donuts be bagged for the two customers before me in line. Don't get me wrong: Everything else looked great, but if it ain't chocolate I don't want it. I swallowed my pride and asked if there were ANY more of the prized chocolatey treats in the back. The staff took pity on me and FRESHLY DIPPED two for me. They were still warm when I got to the car and tasted what's now my favorite local donut. And that is the story of how Arundel Donuts won my undying loyalty that winter morning.

We were lucky to get one of the last crab dip bagels and crab tamago sando. Everything was delish. Crab Tamago Sando 3.5/5: yummy and tasted like an egg salad sando with old bay seasoning. couldn't rly taste the crab :/ Crab Dip Bagel 4.5/5: this was worth the hype. we had soooo much filling in ours. the crab was warm and the sauce was so creamy and the corn was toasted well. i'll be thinking about this bagel a lot. the only note on that is that the bread part of the bagel was not very wow factor and was kind of tough Fig & Brie 5/5: i liked the crunch and flakiness of the croissant. fig was fresh and complemented the cheese well! I especially enjoyed the Frank roll and the crab dip bagel because the Frank roll's onion jam has a perfect sweetness to it and its croissant bun is beautifully crafted and aesthetically pleasing. Customer service is great. Overall, I'd recommend!
