Vegan carrot cake
Kathleen D.

My partner ordered my birthday cake here and they were extremely communicative and accommodating of my vegan preferences. They gave him free will to customize the flavor, design, and color. When we went to pick it up, they ensured we were happy with the result, and we were even tempted to buy more of the beautiful cupcakes on display. I was glad to see a good amount of vegan options available and will def return to try out more flavors.

For the price and service, this is really top notch. I placed an online order for my friend's birthday for 1/2 dozen gluten free cupcakes and was able to make each one a different flavor! Pickup was fast and the staff is really friendly. The frosting on these was delicious, the size of the cupcakes is great too. Would absolutely order for future events.

Strawberry Milkshake cupcake

I was leaving another business in the area and noticed the Kupcakes & Co sign on the wall. At first I decided not to indulge my sweet tooth today, but I wanted to see what type of cupcakes they had. I entered the shop and saw this lovely display of assorted cupcakes. As I briefly perused the cupcake selection, I saw some of my usual favorites like Red Velvet and Vanilla, but I wanted to think outside the box today and order something different. I immediately zoomed in on the two strawberry selections that were side-by-side. The two interesting selections were Strawberry and Champagne and Strawberry Milkshake. I asked the staff member of the two options which would she recommend. She described how they varied, ultimately summing it up to preference for one with filling versus one without. Based on the description, I opted for two of the Strawberry Milkshake, one for me and one for my daughter. She packaged the cupcakes in an upside down plastic cup that made for a nice presentation. When I got to my car, I had to take a little bite. I opened the cup and was amazed by the smell of strawberry. I then took a bite that incorporated the frosting, cake and filling. Surprisingly, it really tasted like a Strawberry Milkshake. I say that because not all cupcakes live up to the name, but this one did. Wow, it was so good. The light pink filling reminded me of whipped buttercream. The cake was super moist on the inside with the right amount of crunch on the exterior. The little candy pieces on top of the frosting exceeded my expectations, they were creamy, delicious with a melt in your mouth consistency. I have to return at some point to try something else.

I love Kupcakes and Company, and for years, they have been my "go-to" for birthday and special occasion cakes. The staff is friendly and are efficient in managing long lines. The cakes/cupcakes never disappoint, and there are often themed cupcakes (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) Prices are comparable (about $4.50 for Began, Gluten Free, or specialty), and the cupcakes are "normal" sized with an excellent cake to icing ratio.

Stopped by this place. There were soooooo many options! The staff was very helpful. They were even assisting another client with transporting a cake. Strawberry shortcake and apple picking were great. Can't wait to try other items on their menu.

By far my favorite cupcake place in the Baltimore surrounding area. They've made beautiful birthday cakes for my family, and it's a perfect stop-in when you're craving something sweet. They pile on the icing so sweet toothers beware if that's not your thing. The depth of natural flavor of their cakes is hard to match. The daily assortment of cupcake flavors is significant and their customer service is consistently good. From brownies to cookie sandwiches to cake push pops, you'll always find a special treat to share (or to keep for yourself!). It's a small bakery so don't expect to linger around. Order ahead if you can, or else you may find yourself in a line outside (it's worth it - they move fast). Enjoy!

I was so excited to finally get to this spot! Its tough being gluten free and not being able to pick a cupcake at the shop down the road from me. I happened to be in columbia for work today and was looking to see if there was any bakeries nearby when i saw this place and remembered that i wanted to go there, so i went after work. Its a small, quaint and cute shop located in the shopping center right off of 100 at the 103 exit. You have to actually drive past the shopping center and turn into the apartment complex making a sharp right, practical u-turn, on to shopping center drive way. Its in the back of the building. I picked up a lemon drop one as well as a snickerdoodle, birthday cake and strawberry cupcake for later days. They have vegan cupcakes as well and got a few for the kid. Cookies and cream and red velvet. I had the lemon first, a tad sweet, but i really cant complain. Hope to get back there soon, or, at least, trouble someone to get me a birthday cake from here!

Red velvet, snickerdoodle and I believe some kind of cookies and cream

The snickerdoodle cupcake was very tasty and moist. The red velvet's frosting was so delicious, but the cake was dry. The other cupcake wasn't really my taste. I don't know if I would return based on these flavors. The other flavors were basic, so I didn't try those out.

Visited Kupcakes & co for the first time after being invited to a cupcake and wine tasting. We really enjoyed how we got to see behind the register where the cupcakes are assembled and also got a chance to learn a bit about the cupcake flavor selection process while trying some new wines. Would definitely recommend any events like this for a cute way to try out the baked treats, check in on how adorable the bakery is and see how lovely the staff seem (family owned and operated which was definitely a nice treat to see their passion and commitment to their business )

Expectation vs reality

We used Kupcakes & Co. for our wedding cake on August 31. Posted here is a comparison between what I ordered and what was delivered on our wedding day. The coloring was not as promised, and the cake was slanted. The middle tier is a stand that was provided to them weeks in advance of our wedding date. Prior to booking, I sent them this photo, and they assured me they could "100% deliver." We were never informed that our requested design wouldn't turn out as expected. I was never asked if fondant should be used, nor was I informed that the icing would not be white, as shown in the inspiration photo. I inquired three times via email about how to store the cake and was advised that an air-conditioned room would be sufficient. On the day of the wedding, Kupcakes & Co. delivered the cake and placed it directly into the fridge. My coordinator followed the storage recommendations and brought the cake out for the cake cutting. When the cake was brought out, it was slanted, poorly piped, on an unfinished cake board, and the wrong color. The tiers were also not the correct height. When I contacted them afterward, they did offer a partial refund and were apologetic, stating that it appeared the cake was improperly stored. I'm unsure how this could be the case when they delivered it, put it in the fridge, and it remained there until the reception. The "improper storage" remark does not explain the issues with the coloring, leaving it on an unfinished cake board, the random piping around the base of each tier, or that the top tier is too short. I am very disappointed that this is what I had on my wedding day.

I've been wanting to try Kupcakes & Co for a while now and I'm actually quite surprised I haven't been sooner considering how close I live to this bakery. A friend recently invited me over for dinner so I took that as the opportunity to try Kupcakes & Co and bring some dessert. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon sometime around 2 pm. Upon entering the bakery, I was immediately greeted by an employee. He allowed me to browse the offerings and told me to just let him know when I was ready. The bakery is cute and quaint. I decided to go with four cupcakes: snickerdoodle and key lime for me and chocolate and salted caramel for my friend. The cupcakes were packaged up, I paid, and was on my way. I really enjoyed my two cupcakes. The cake was moist and the frosting was great as well. I asked my friend his thoughts on his cupcakes and he said they were "Amazing!" I think that's enough to get me to return. The customer service experience was great as well. I'd also like to note that Kupcakes & Co does different things to give back to the community including having a jar to collect spare change to give to give to local charities and donating products to local food banks.

Get here early! While visiting from Jersey, we wanted some sweet treats for the road. This establishment came up highly recommended on yelp. I can honestly say that I was not disappointed at all. Covid polices There is a limit of 6 patrons in the store at any given time. This is a good number as it helps to enforce social distancing and to help maintain the safety of both the guest and the staff. Some signs notify you that you must wear a mask and were to form a line if they are at capacity. Good They offer a wide range of items. They had cupcakes, push pops, chocolate bombs, cookies, infused cupcakes, cupcake parfait, etc. I got half a dozen cupcakes, chocolate bombs, infused cupcakes. Everything was amazing! I was really happy because inactive just as they were frosting the cupcakes so they made a vanilla salted caramel for me instead of chocolate. I loved everything that I purchased and I will be sure to return on my next visit to Maryland!

A great bakery in Elkridge-- a variety of flavors including gluten free options and flavors rotate somewhat frequently. The service is fast, even when there is a long line. Overall ambiance is very clean. Not enough space to sit inside and eat but still a great establishment!

Surprisingly because it is the number one most popular flavor. The cake was moist but the frosting is way too sweet even for me who has a sweet tooth. Of all the flavors I tried, my top three favorite were the carrot cake, almond cake, and the red velvet. I really love that they have mini cupcakes because I can try more flavors and not have to workout as long to burn off all the calories. I also purchased the peanut butter cookie which comes in a 3-pack for my hubby. He enjoyed them. I tried one and the flavor was good and it was partially soft and partially crunchy. The staff who assisted me with my cupcakes was super friendly and gave me her recommendations on which flavors she liked best and which were the most popular. I will return, hopefully this summer, to try their ice cream or one of their other cookies.

Passing the case with bakery goods in it before going to the register to order probably was not the best. Alas! I was pulled away to order actual brunch food. I had ordered biscuit and gravy and girlfriend ordered farmers table. We also order beignets. Cant pass those up when available. All three were delicious! Beignets were done just right and got the "puff" when biting in to them. Had to make a stop by the bakery side to get croissants for the week. They did not disappoint. The service was nice and friendly. Both the food side and bakery side. The co-owner was there and got to spend some time speaking with him. He was very friendly! The place was very clean and dishes were carted away quickly. Lots of light, even on a rainy day, gave a very bright ambiance. Matched the personality of the employees.

I studied French in high school and have over 1400 day French streak on Duolingo so the name intrigued me. We made a takeout order at the register. Store layout seemed easy to navigate. Staff was very patient with us as we tried to figure out our order and answered our questions about the menu. I ordered some beignets and an "savory breakfast croissant" meal with egg and cheddar. My fiancé ordered some coffee and fried rice. All of this as a takeout order. The food was taking a while (which is fine because I expected home cooked quality meal but it seemed really slow in the kitchen. Possibly understaffed but wait wasn't outrageous. While we waited, I took a look around the cafe. I enjoyed looking at all the different art - I saw a piece highlighting a local artist which I found thoughtful. We looked at the bakery glass display on right hand side of the cafe and I discussed with the employee working about their recommendations and inquired about some of the inspiration behind the business. They were very knowledgeable about different tastes and other products they could offer such a King Cake which I would love to check out another time. I ordered a vanilla chocolate cupcake and my fiancé ordered a Tiramisu cake. They were packaged nicely in a paper bag - the cupcake they placed in a sturdy cupcake box which I appreciated. They made sure it all fit nice and securely in the bag for the car ride home. They also had a company logo on the taekout bag - very nice! We got our food and went home. My fiancé discovered they gave a huge portion size with his meal - which justifies the price we paid. He was very excited about it. We tried the beignets and those were really good. I opened my sandwich - they wrapped it in tin foil so it was nice and warm. The croissant part seemed really nice but the egg and cheese part was really bad. After a couple bites I realized I was forcing myself to try and finish the rest of it but it wasn't good. I gave my fiancé the rest of the sandwich and after sitting with the food, I had a stomach ache (I strongly think it was the sandwich) so I didn't want to touch the cupcake for a while. My fiancé remarked as well that the sandwich did not taste right - honestly the last time I had an egg sandwich that made me feel like that was a cheap breakfast sandwich from Dunkin Donuts that made me never want to order food from them ever again. But this version the croissant at least seemed nice and presentation was nice. My fiancé said his dish was fine but nothing extraordinary. The next day after letting my stomach process, I tried the cupcake and while I did enjoy the cupcake it really wasn't anything special. I enjoyed it but wasn't anything superb. Presentation was nice but again, isnt something I would rave about. So overall, the experience here was fine but I did not like the breakfast sandwich. Service was phenomenal and seemed like they really wanted to share their culture with the community. i was interested in going back to try a King Cake from them but based on this one experience, this isn't going to be a "go-to" spot we'd recommend. I think food and baked goods (other than the foul sandwich) was good, but nothing to rave about.

Champagne & Cupcakes has a food truck and stops by events, has a set time they sell during the weekends and takes special orders.
