I ordered a 4 pack of cupcakes for my husband's birthday two weeks ago. I orders a cosmic brownie, strawberry funnel cake, key lime pie and a banana toffee. While the cupcakes were good, they were not spectacular and I found that two of the four did not accurately meet the description listed online. Two said they had a flavored filling inside the cupcake when they did not. My husband really enjoyed the strawberry funnel cake one as it had strawberry filling, strawberry in the cake batter and has flavorful toppings. This cupcake was 1.00 extra as it was their premium option. The key lime pie was disappointing as the only lime flavor was the drizzle on top, nothing incorporated into the cupcake itself. While I appreciate the beautiful presentation of these cupcakes and those from other similar bakeries, I just find that none of them stand out in flavor beyond what you can purchase at the store and bake at home. I also order the "pupcakes" for my dog and he really enjoyed them. They were carrot cake with a frosting and a tiny milk bone on top. They presented beautifully and smelled delicious. I almost ate one myself! read more

SOFTEST CUPCAKE EVER!!! Omgggg it's been awhile since I've had a cupcake this soft at a decent price with a speciality flavor. Absolutely checks all the boxes AND the service was amazing. Loved the selection of regular and different ice cream flavors. Will absolutely. One back when I'm in the area. Oh and as someone that doesn't care to too much frosting the dollop on the middle was perfect read more

I saw this place on Instagram and figured I'd stop by since they are down the street from Arundel Mills Mall. We walked in and were greeted. There was a small line with two individuals working. There is a good assortment of cupcakes and they have a small assortment of macaroons. The cupcakes are $4.25 and they give the allusion of a deal with 4 for $17. We ended up ordering the birthday cake and banana crème cupcakes as well and 3 snickerdoodles. The cupcakes are a good size and moist. The snickerdoodles when warm were GREAT. Nice and soft. I'd return if I were in the area. Prices are comparable. I'd like to try the cupcake milkshake. read more

I was like a little girl in an ice cream shop... quite literally! This shop has all that your sweet taste buds could crave. Ice cream, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, macaroons... and plus, the flavors are so unique! I ordered their red velvet cheesecake ice cream, and wow, three of my favorite desserts all together in one?! It was literally sweet perfection. It had red velvet cake crumbs and cheesecake pieces mixed in. I also got the strawberry tres leches, and omg, it was delicious! They have other flavored tres leches and I will be back to try them all! The portions were so large and were also a decent price! Definitely more affordable than other popular ice cream shops. There are two sizes offered for the ice cream: small, which was one scoop, and medium, which was two scoops. Each scoop was so huge! They were definitely generous in the amount of ice cream they gave. As you can probably tell by now, I'm really ecstatic about this new dessert shop. I love unique concepts and extremely enamored by the variety of desserts and creativity of flavors! read more

Came here after seeing a video of this shop going viral. I thought they were new to the area, but this is actually their 5th location, so kudos to them! We went to try everything, but we decided to go with cupcakes and a pushpop. We order 2 everything lemon cupcakes 2 blueberry cheesecake cupcakes (not a fan of these) 2 hot fudge sundae cupcakes 1 cannoli cupcake 1 Hershey cream pie cupcake 3 strawberry crunch cupcakes ( these were soooo good withe the surprise in the middle) 1 birthday cake cupcake + 1 red velvet cake pushpop (yummy) Everything was soooo moist. We enjoyed all of the cupcakes except the blueberry cheesecake it just wasn't for our taste buds. Our family favorites were the strawberry crunch and everything lemon. The cake pushpop was personally for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was so pleasant, quick and didn't rush any of our decision. The shop was really cute inside. You can enter from the back or the front. They are located by the five guys down the street from Arundel mills mall. read more

First time trying this bakery! I stopped in on Saturday to get cupcakes for my husband's birthday on Monday. It was the only day I could pick up something without him seeing so I took a gamble on the cupcakes staying fresh. They stayed so well in the fridge and were moist and flavorful so I can't imagine how they taste day of! I had the banana toffee and my husband had the birthday cake. The banana toffee was one of the best cupcakes I've ever had! read more

Cute little shop, much smaller when compared to to the Rockville location. But same quality cakes. Sweet and tasty, with a large variety of selections, including doggy treats. They were busy with line s out of the door when we were there. Efficient service, hard working servers. Super convenient location. read more

We stumbled upon this lil cupcake shop completely by accident. Most storefront bakeries are closed on Sundays, but my husband and I found this hidden gem on a whim. The reviews were promising, so we decided to pick up a dozen mixed cupcakes and a slice of butter cake to celebrate his birthday. The cupcakes were moist and full of flavor--our dinner party guests loved them. Not a single disappointing flavor and certainly not one complaint. We'll definitely be back. 4.5 stars read more

I went on a Saturday afternoon and got 4 cupcakes-Wedding Cake, Strawberry Crunch, Maple Pecan French Toast, and Caramel Brownie Cheesecake. 1 was good, 1 was just OK, and the last 2 I threw away. The Wedding Cake cupcake had a nice Almond flavor. The balance between cake and frosting was good. It was fresh and topped with cute sugar sprinkles. The Maple Pecan French Toast was OK. Not good enough for a trip back, but I did eat about 3/4 of it. It was decorated with lil french toast bits on top. The french toast bits and the drizzle were good. The cake flavor was pretty bland and it was a little on the dry side. The name held so much promise, but the cupcake did not live up to it. The remaining 2 were not good at all! The Strawberry Crunch, which is a fave flavor of mine, was very dry. When I peeled the cake liner back it came right off the cake. If it had any moistness to it, the paper would have held onto the cake a little. It tasted like the cupcake may have been from the day before and sat in the display case overnight. Weird though, cause the frosting tasted fresher than the cake. There was also the teeniest tiniest dot of strawberry jam on the inside (less than the circumference of a dime) but that did very little to help. I wanted to like this one so much, but into the trash it went with the quickness. Finally, the last and worst of the 4, the Caramel Brownie Cheesecake. The cake was so dry it crumbled and fell apart when I bit into it. The cream cheese whipped frosting was dense, but somewhat dried out. The whole dollop of frosting on top fell off in 1 piece as I bit into it. Neither the frosting or the cake had much flavor at all. The only thing I ate and somewhat enjoyed from this one was the mini cheesecake piece used to decorate the top. I wouldn't wanna chance getting another cupcake as unenjoyable as this one so I don't plan to go back. A few positives- the young lady who took my order was courteous, the shop was clean, the display was nice, and there was convenient parking right out front. Also, the cupcakes are bigger than average and price was fair. read more

Overall, disappointing. The prices are high for what's presented as gourmet, but the taste and quality didn't quite live up to that expectation. The presentation is cute and the flavor ideas are creative, but I'd probably wait a while before returning. read more

Last Sunday was my first time visiting. I saw a video post on social media and wanted to try it out. They sell cupcakes, icecream, cake jars, cheesecakes, etc. They have a small indoor seating area. There is no outside seating. I ordered the Blueberry cupcake and banana pudding. Both were good. The customer service was good. The decor was cute. read more

New sweet shop in the neighborhood! They have a variety of hard ice cream flavors, cupcakes, slices of cake, and cookies. I ordered the cupcake of the day (~$5) which was a chocolate caramel cupcake. The base was a nice, moist chocolate and I really liked the caramel frosting. The viscous caramel was a nice change of pace from a typical buttercream frosting. I got it to go but it looked like there were a couple tables in the back. I will definitely be back to try the ice cream. read more

Tried this place out when it was warm and was OK for a sweet treat. I got the oreo tres leches cake because it sounded delicious but I was a little underwhelmed because the cream tasted like grocery store bought icing. Ice cream is good though and they do have lots of options for desserts. There is a little bit of seating as well. read more

Wow! What a great addition to the neighborhood! The ice cream was amazing. And the snickerdoodle cookie was my favorite. All the staff were very friendly during the grand opening. I should have taken a picture! Sorry yelpers, I will do better next time. Please believe me when I say there will be a next time. My favorite cupcake hands down was the blue berry cheese cake, I had half of that and wished that had been my whole...next time. I had the strawberry as well it was really good. I would have that flavor again. I also split a pinacolada with my hubby. That one was just ok for me, this a cute and very solid place. Would definitely reccomend. read more

The cupcakes were delicious and not overly sweet. The frosting that was used was light and creamy like I like it. Normally I just wipe off the frosting, this time I actually ate it. Definitely a keeper. The women were very friendly and warm. You could tell they take pride in their shop and I could taste the love in the cupcakes. I found them on the TGTG app. What a treasure! read more

I stopped by Lil Cakes to pick up some cupcakes as gifts for both my mailman and the sanitation workers who serve our community, and I'm so glad I did. They have such a great variety of options to choose from, and I love that they also offer adorable mini cake jars. What really impressed me was their military discount -- a thoughtful gesture that I truly appreciated. Excellent treats, wonderful service, and a business that clearly values its customers. So all the cupcakes taste the exact same - the frosting is different. Maybe I was expecting more.

What a gem! I swung by over the weekend to get cupcakes for a cookout, and was very impressed by the creativity and quality of their cupcakes. (Their cannoli flavor features a tiny cannoli on top, how delightful is that?) I ended up ordering a dozen different flavors. More than just being fun to look at, they were also delicious. They were incredibly moist and fluffy, and were promptly demolished by the other guests. 10/10 would order again. read more

You know how you would get a crush on someone in middle or high school and that's all you could think about? That's how it is for me and this place. I've been there twice and I'm looking for reasons to go back. Had their Better than Hostess, Strawberry Crunch, & a bite of the caramel cupcake. Phenomenal, all of them. The cake push ups are out of this world. My kid also had the chocolate birthday cake ice cream and said it's among the best he's ever had. I tried them for the first time at Halaal food festival in Anne Arundel county. These cupcakes were better than any other cake I've tried. Very moist, not too sweet, and hits that sweet tooth in the right spot! I didn't have time to go back and try the ice cream like I wanted to ...but I'm pretty sure it's just as unique as their cupcakes! Definitely worth a try! I will be visiting them again for sure! read more
