This spot cranks out the biggest most delicious sandwiches and the price is unbeatable. You have to stop by for lunch if you are nearby. My go to is the belly buster sub. You can't beat it. The service is always impeccable and fast.

An all time Catonsville classic! The staff are very friendly and efficient, there is enough room for a party of 4 at their booths and they have several of them in their dining room. I usually order a jaw breaker, governors club, shrimp salad sub, cheese steak, mother clucker or Eddie Muenster's Revenge all of which are good. Their weekend soup is crab soup, both classic and creamy variety, the cream of crab can vary in quality but when it's good, it's one of the best in Maryland.

As a self-proclaimed sandwich connoisseur, I was excited to try Taneytown Deli after reading so many great reviews. When I arrived, the lady at the counter was friendly and helpful, and it was a promising sign to see so many people coming in to pick up to-go orders as I browsed the menu. I decided on a turkey and ham club with bacon, expecting something spectacular. While the sandwich was decent, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. It was a basic club, but I think the flavor of the meats just wasn't to my taste. On the bright side, I got a parking spot right out front, which was convenient, though I can imagine parking being tricky during busier times. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I'd likely explore other options on the menu before rushing back.

Taneytown is hand downs the best sandwich place! I've been here for over 10 years now and never once was I disappointed. The service was quick and the food is always delicious. Definitely recommend everyone to come here to try these two signature sandwich!

Woah! Can't believe I hadn't been here before. The menu is massive and the line appears a little chaotic, but the staff knows what they're doing. We ordered quickly and got our food fast enough. I got the Jawbreaker and they weren't kidding - it was huge and so good. I'm definitely coming back to try out their other stuff.

Always great food here fresh, hot, and delicious. I tried The Jawbreaker and it was so delicious paired with a pickle and chips, it makes the perfect lunch. Great customer service and they offer both dine in or carry out options. I recommend this establishment.

Fast, friendly service with decent sandwiches. I ordered the Reuben because it's kind of my measure of a sandwich shop and my favorite deli sandwich. Unfortunately, by the time I got outside to eat it, it was too soggy. I would have preferred that they slice the meat and heat the separated slices on the grill before stacking. That would draw out more moisture before it made it to the sandwich. The sandwich was tasty and large, though. So, if I was in the area, I'd think about going back but I would make any special strips.

Found this place on my way home I work. The food was good a quick bite. They do have do have platters and more, the also serve lunch as well. They have dine in seating if you want to sit in, it's nice but not too big. The service was fast and friendly. Stop by to check them out.

Best deli around! This place got some big recommends from friends that used to live in Catonsville. We stopped by when we were in the area to pick up lunch to go. The are really strict on COVID safety precautions, so only 2 people in at a time and then you wait outside and they will bring your order out. I really appreciated their due diligence about making sure all customers have a safe experience. I mean, I couldn't go here for my first time and not order the jawbreaker...and neither should you. That sandy is BANGIN! I don't want to get too in the weeds about all of this, but even just the way it was layered impressed me. Some bites I could only get some of the sandwich and I was thinking of wow I'm glad they put the coleslaw here and the tomato here and the that there etc etc. Anyways, this place is awesome. And affordable. With an impressive soda selection, too! I am already thinking of reasons to head to Catonsville so I can get lunch here again.

Love this place. It's a Catonsville classic. The food is tasty and the service is quick. It's a regular sandwich shop that is a community staple. Must try!!

Scittino's has seating to enjoy your pizza in store or outside. Our order was ready in no time. We opted to take ours to go. The pizza was fresh with a great yeasty crust. Just note, this is a legit country store, offering random canned items, dried goods, toys, collectibles, drinks, snacks, and even hot food. We saw a patron come in, looking for charcoal, and there was a bag hiding behind the front door! We stopped by, as we had heard about Mr. Jay's famous burgers - we ordered one to share, open to any toppings he recommended - ours came with fresh Romaine lettuce, sliced onions, a hot pepper spread, sliced fresh jalapenos, cheese, and mayo, all nestled in a locally baked bread. This was a simple, but a tasty burger! The freshly-ground beef is picked up every morning, from the slaughterhouse that is across the street; I don't really want to think about that all too much, but just know that what you're getting is some fresh proteins! Mr. Jay also grows his own peppers and such, so you'll taste the freshness! There are a few comfortable chairs around the store, so you can definitely just sit and enjoy your food, or take it to go - we opted to dine-in, and we almost fell asleep since we were that cozy and relaxed! HA! Mr. Jay is also known as the Mayor of Oella, so be sure to sit and listen to his stories - he's so kind, personable, and has a lot of history to share! I saw a published photo book of his, which I found super cool; we also received the town's community calendar and a sampling of a neighbor's homemade brownie! Be sure to stop by to grab a meal - we had heard that he makes amazing omelets, so we'd love to try that next time! I love that they bother to stack the store filled with various treats and specialty items that you don't often see elsewhere, as you would expect in a deli. It's cute, it's cosy, it's fun, and the food has always been rather good. Not Italian Market good, not Canal Street good, but Howard County good. It is not a full service restaurant - it's counter order. They seem to have become extremely popular for phone and 3rd party delivery orders. Other reviews mention learning of them on social media - and it seems they have been collaborating with local "influencers" for mentions. Do I think the world need "influencers" ? No, I do not, but it seems to be working for Eataliano but they unfortunately don't seem to know how to manage the volume they have created. Today I went with my entire family who just wanted some pickup food to eat while we drove around in the rain. They are sooooo slow to decide, and I am not plus I was starving so I hopped in an put in my solo order for a cheesesteak while the rest talked in the van figuring out what they wanted. That one cheesesteak too over a half hour. A HALF HOUR with me standing their waiting. It seems like they were firing phone orders before the orders of people in the store, and I watched multiple customers walk upon learning the wait time. Noone in the shop was moving with any sense of urgency and seemed completely unbothered by the wait times - one homie literally went out front to water flowers lol. By the time the rest of my family had their orders ready to place, we had already decided we weren't going to order them there. It was awkward, but I took my one single cheesesteak back into the van and we drove to Waterloos for the other 3. Waterloos had them ready in 8 minutes. To top that off, my sub wasn't wrapped properly and one half of the steak was upside down in the paper making a terrible mess, and there weren't even any napkins in the bag. They have their point of sale guilt-tip machine defaulting to 25%, with literally no wait staff. I've never more in my life wanted my tip money back, and my view of Eataliano has been forever diminished. It will probably be quite a while before I go back quite frankly. If you're going to have the bollocks to request tips for counter service, and 25% tips at that, you had better deliver exceptional service and Eataliano absolutely did not. I
