Made an order and when I contacted them, the person answering the phone was quick, rude and obviously could care less about customer service. I'm not from the area was not aware of the closing time and before I could even try to discuss it with her, she made it very clear she could care less about my business. They closed at 2 and I wasn't able to get there until a little after- I asked if they could refund and was told "nope", asked if they could leave it outside and was told "nope", asked to speak w a manager and was told "nope". Food is good, plentiful servings, fresh and made to order. Love the Turkey Reuben but was feeling roast beef with Swiss today. This is an excellent off the beaten path stop that always feels like a good choice! Especially happy to spend less than $10 for a delicious sandwich. Only problem is finding a table at lunchtime. Shoutout to our local community heroes! When I'm in the area for doctor appointments and hospital visits, I am so blessed to know that this venue is here. It have been going for years and they are consistently great! I love my classics, a Rueben on marbled rye and deli mustard. Today was a fun day here, because I got to try a new variation. They were out of marbled rye bread today, so the deli boss suggested a piece of pumpernickel and a piece of rye. Bravo! Great combo! Tasty solution and the hot corned beef was so tender and flavorful! I savored every bite. A crispy pickle spear and a refreshing cold soda paired perfectly. And I had a slice of their decadent pecan pie for dessFull and satisfied! Hubby had a corned beef and pastrami with the same magic bread combo. I am blessed with the love that fills this venue! Stopped in recently to try it for the first time. It's classic deli fare. The staff was welcoming, fast, and attentive, giving great suggestions for sandwiches. Got a Reuben, Steak + Cheese, and Big Ben (turkey + ham version). All sandwiches were very good and we loved getting a pickle spear with each. It was packed with people, a nice mixture of those who were in the medical offices and people like us who came to grab a nice meal. Tables and counters were clean. We'll be back soon. read more

Frantically looking for a place for sandwiches to bring to a farm, I came across Charter Deli on Yelp. As everyone has said, it's in the bottom of an office building; I thought I was lost at first. On a Saturday around 11:30, we were the only two in the store; however, a couple people came in for takeout. Currently they do have indoor seating available. The menu is classic deli. My son had the kids Turkey sandwich on wheat. I added cheese to that for him. I had the Turkey Reuben. Both were packed well and intact when we got to our destination. Visited this location today and wow. I spoke with an associate by the name of "Jay" and the customer interaction was warm, welcoming, positive, friendly, and refreshing to be 100% honest. My 4 person order came out faster than anticipated and the food was great as well. I'm definitely returning to this location when I have more time to try different things on the menu. Excellent place to grab a bite to eat. It's convenient, fairly priced, and is a small business which I love to support. Absolutely terrible food! Charged me for food my parents didn't even have delivered to them. I used this deli with Uber Eats and will Never order from them again. Had Uber Eats deliver to my fathers hospital room, my dad said he's sorry I spent so much money on he and my mothers lunch $42 and they threw it in the trash. We just moved to the area and had heard great thing about this place so we were very excited to give it a try. However, our first visit was not impressive and disappointing. The layout was confusing and cramped trying to get all the way back to the order counter. Then standing in line just to pay took much longer than it should have. Once we were finally able just to pay for our order it was another long wait just to get our sandwiches. In total from the time we order to the time we left it was about 20 minutes - not what I expected from a deli. We took our order to go and I was extremely upset when I got home to find my grilled chicken under cooked, still pink and inedible. I understand the wait time was due to cooking the chicken but I would expect my food to be completely cooked at the same token. So I came into this deli this morning after therapy like I do most times I have therapy three times a week. This was becoming one of my favorite spots. However today was a miss. I got a veggie burger, three bags of chips, and a pecan pie. When the man at the counter rung me up he said "yay!! The card didn't decline" I am not sure what that was supposed to mean or why it was said. Not sure if it was because I am black but my card has never been declined before and especially not at this establishment. I always pay in cash but today I used my card and received a rude confusing comment. Secondly I ordered a veggie burger with, lettuce, Mayo, tomato, onion, mustard, and cheese. My sandwich was missing the onion and tomato. Maybe next time the man answering the phone should focus more on taking down the proper order verses making snarky comments. read more

I was so excited to drive here anticipating the "Big Ben Club" sandwich. I was a little disappointed however, as the club was little more than a few slices of turkey, little bits of bacon, shredded lettuce and two slices of tomatos. Cheese does not come with it and I noticed on the menu later that they charge extra for cheese on all their sandwiches which I think is odd. The deli itself is very clean and the employees could not have been nicer. But the club was so disappointing and did not look or taste like a proper turkey club. The price is around $7, and I would pay more for a more substantial club with cheese on it. Also, it was missing the mayo. I got a slice of the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake for $3. It was very good, albeit a little stale. If I were in the area, I would stop by again, but I would not drive here specifically. read more

Dropped by here this am to try their breakfast sandwich and maybe a muffin. The place is buried within a big building on Charter, just so you know (took me a few minutes to figure this out, lol). The customer service was fine, the guy behind the counter was nice and patient with me on this, my first time, deciding what I wanted. The place is nice, a relaxing decor, quiet, good place to read a paper or gather with a few friends for coffee. And with that written... I really wasn't impressed with the sausage and egg on toast sandwich I ordered... the quality of both the egg and sausage just were "meh". I even tried the chocolate chip muffin (brought in from an outside vendor) and the chocolate chip muffin only had chips on the top.... no chips anywhere within the muffin. lol. All of this and a can of coke for $8? Nah, I'll skip it in the future. If you're looking for a quick breakfast that is prepped and heated up in a microwave, this is your place. Never in my life have I LITERALLY been in the middle of eating and had a waiter tell me I need to leave. I've been coming here for 10+ years and I typically order my food and take it with me. Today my mother and I decided to eat in the restaurant - we were immediately greeted by a disgruntled young woman. No smile. Not welcoming at all. My mom comments on how nice the renovations are and she just blankly stared at us. No conversation skills, whatsoever. Then I ask her about the ingredients in the veggie burger, she tells me she doesn't know. I ask to see it and she says they're individually packaged, so no. I ask could I possibly taste a piece, she says no. So I ask "how am I supposed to know what I'm purchasing if she cannot or will not provide any info?" She then pulls the veggie burgers out of the fridge to show me and guess what? Not individually packaged and she previously stated. Then when we go to pay she asks my mother and I if we're together or separate. This would not have happened if my mother and I were the same race (I'm Black, my mother is white). We get our food and begin to eat. At 3:03pm we are told by a young man "we close at 3 so I can wrap up what you have left" and walks away before we can respond. Wow. If patrons are to be out of the building at 3pm on the dot it might be best to mention you don't take sit-in orders after a certain time, no? And of course when we left, no "goodbye", "thank you" or "have a nice day" from either employee. Outrageous. read more

I literally have been coming here 1-2 times a week since moving here and won't stop! First thing I tried was the Big Ben and it was so good that I stuck with it my first 10 or so visits. Then I eventually branched out and tried other sandwiches and I'm honestly impressed every time! Idk how a tuna sandwich can be that good but trust me, theirs is. The place is clean and spacious, and there are a lot of sandwich options (breads, toppings, meats, chips ,etc) to choose from. I got the Josepi on a soft roll, which is corned beef, turkey and salami. There was definitely a good amount of meat, and good for the price. I'm not a deli sandwich connoisseur, but I thought the sandwich itself was good and had good ratio of meat to bread and veggies. Unfortunately, the red skin potato salad was not very good.
