I had a great experience here at Mezeh. The build you own bowl is very convenient and everything tasted really fresh. It was very flavorful and well seasoned and I love the the topping options! Staff were friendly and patient. The place was well organized too. Def a solid spot esp if you're craving for something quick but still healthy and filing. I'll be back

10.25.25 They held their grand opening on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in the Long Gate Shopping Center, which also features Kohl's, Safeway, Target, and Old Navy. My husband and I visited that Saturday around 11:15 a.m. He was worried it might be crowded given the grand opening weekend, but to our surprise, we were the only customers there. My husband ordered a build-your-own bowl, and I chose the kids' kebab pita tray. I don't typically eat Mediterranean food--it's not usually my first choice when dining out--but I really enjoyed my meal. It was flavorful, satisfying, and felt healthy and nourishing. My husband also liked his meal and said he'd definitely come back. The restaurant offers indoor seating, including counter spots, as well as patio seating. They also accept mobile orders and have a "falafel lane" pick-up window, which I assume functions like a drive-thru. Staff were friendly and welcoming. While writing this review, I just realized that my order was supposed to be served with an apple juice box. Despite this minor oversight, I would certainly return if I'm already in the shopping center.

Haha! Some fun naming there drive-thru, where you order at the window not at a menu-sign

Shopping on a Mon late-morning (Nov 2025), I glanced across the parking lot and saw a new mediterranean Mezeh where a fried chicken place used to be! You can use the drive-through window, where you order right at the window. There's also indoor dining and an umbrella-ed patio. I went to their website, because i was in a drive-thru mood. The front page of the general menu has several categories of bowls and some wraps, including some kids' plates, plus a build-your-own section. $12 to $16 pita-wraps include chicken or falafel, or lamb gyro, and oh boy, Shawarmas! Beef or "classic chicken"! Also combos for those for a few dollars more. I went for the classic shawarma: lightly spiced tender chicken chunks, fresh crunchy wild-like greens, generous hummus, pickled onions, and sauce, wrapped in fresh pita. The sandwich bag looked narrow, but that wrap was enormous! Stuffed to bursting! Deliciously fresh, dripping with lightly spicy harissa and tzaziki sauces. I added creamy sesame-tahini to the offered tangy yogurt-tzaziki because i was so happy to see tahini available :-) I loved that the shawarma was wrapped in a large real-bread pita instead of a flour-tortilla. This was a very tasty, very generous, very juicy wrap! It says spicy, and it's mild and lasting. Perfect for me, but be sure to add more spicy-sauce to get more heat. Pro-tip: Be ready for some messiness! I was eating in my car, so i planned out the placement of the foil-wrap and napkins, to contain all of the yummy juices. And i did well! Until i decided to take some home and tried to get it back in the narrow bag. Darned if i didnt wear some sauces home... The sandwich included a foil wrap, so it was still warm when i got home, and it took a lot to save some for others to taste :-) This classic chicken shawarma was a very fresh, well-planned, delicious pita wrap. And the drive-thru staff was quick and very welcoming!

Overall: fast casual fresh healthy and delicious Mediterranean food with kind service and unique drinks This place just opened last week, so it's super clean. You could tell the employees were still learning the menu, but they were super kind and the food was delicious. We've been going to other Mezeh's for years so we were stoked to get one locally. I've never had anything bad here. I've tried most of the meats and toppings and love them all. Everything is so fresh and flavorful. I always feel full and happy when I'm done. They have some super cool drinks too. They aren't too sweet at all which is super rare to find. I really enjoyed the blueberry cilantro kale carrot and the cucumber mint.

summary: not necessarily perfect, but they just opened, so aside from a couple expected hiccups, a solid experience. Mezeh is a chain with a newly opened store in the Long Gate shopping area. For those unfamiliar, it's pretty similar to CAVA as far as dining experiences go with a few more elevated options available (also at a slightly more premium prices depending on what you order). Aside from a couple of execution hiccups (e.g. wait times and a slightly underdone pita bread), it was still a solid entree. They gave so much food for my greens & grains bowl that I could split it into two separate meals. The venue itself is newly renovated, so it's beautiful, clean, and modern. Solid spot and hope it sticks around for a while!

Wow! This place is awesome. I think I like it better than Cava. So many options and unlimited toppings. The bowls are definitely bigger and the choices are more numerous. I ordered the steak and it was juicy and delicious. The sauces are wonderful and there are so many veggie options as well. Great place! I will be back.

They're finally OPEN! Yesterday was Mezeh's first opening day and they provided patrons win a free bowl along with a drivk purchase! Mezeh's restaurant here in Ellicott City has an ideal location! Remember the old KFC next to Carrabba's? Yup, they're gone and Mezeh has swooped on providing mediterranean liquid gold. They offer bowls and wraps along with sides such as hummus, tzatziki, and feta dip as well as falafel, rice, salads, and other mediterranean accompaniments. I definitely see myself coming back here multiple times for lunch and dinner.

Although the restaurant was chilly, it was popular. I enjoy fresh goodness in a bowl. It did take a white, which allowed for great conversation.

We got a to go order and it was just okay. Everyone ordered a build your own bowl. They were sizable and everyone's ordered was right. I felt like the proteins were a bit stingy. However, I do feel like they are working like a well oiled machine when they just recently opened. They cared about wait time, all the ingredients were ready to build the bowls, and service was great. I'll give it another try, but I'm not sure it will become one of my consistent places.

After that, they went from a small coffee shop window to a full kitchen. They have sandwiches, pizza, breakfasts, and coffee of all kinds. It has so much promise, but sadly I find it to be a let down. Every time I'm here the coffee and food is just average. My sandwich sounded so good, but the bacon was not crisp, couldn't taste the jam in it, and just seemed like the turkey sandwich I pack for my lunches for work. The biggest benefit of this place is the outdoor seating. On a nice day, it is the best place to hang out with a half decent cup of specialty coffee.

I don't think I've ever said this before, but there was way too much cheese on the pizza. You couldn't even pick it up without the cheese falling off. The cheese was about four times thicker than the actual crust was underneath the pizza. If they redid their pizzas and put less cheese on, it, added some seasoning to the sauce or on top of the pizza. It would definitely be a hit. However, the pizzas we got were not and that's why I'm giving this place three stars.. the pizza which was OK would've gotten two stars.

I not only recommend Cozy Café, I shout from the rooftops to go here now!…read more Whenever I have company or family coming into town, old Ellicott and Cozy Café specifically are my first thoughts. One time my partner was standing outside with one of our doggos and I was inside ordering us coffee/breakfast. The owner came up to me and told me that we can bring our dog in. I couldn't figure out how he even knew that they were my people or how he saw them because they weren't standing near windows or doors. But that just shows how much they pay attention to their customers. When I found out that they had coffee flights after I already had been going there for months, I about about lost it. You can choose iced or hot and they come with a variety of flavors. They even top it off with different pastries! Those pastries go with the flavors. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Cozy Café. This is a staple in my house and it should be a staple in yours!

It took a while for the flight to be prepared because I think they're a little bit shortstaffed on a Monday morning, but they had a lot of comfortable places to sit and wait. The corn beef sandwich came out good and I mentioned it was simple because it's literally just corn beef with some white bread and some cheese, but it was actually pretty tasty for breakfast. The coffee flight came out and it's on a large paddle and it looked really delicious. I have to say the regular flavored lattes and the croissant weren't my favorite choices, but as I started moving down the paddleboard towards flavored lattes and the Blondi bar, it was pretty good. My favorite latte was the butter beer and my favorite pastry actually turned out to be the Blondie brownie bar. The inside has enough seating for about 50 people and it's really cutely decorated. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the mood for a coffee after a day of shopping in Ellicott city.

Finally, we got a piece of harissa on our way out and it was decent (just a little too cold for my liking). Our waitress was nice and attentive. The ambiance is cute. I arrived a little bit after they opened, so the place was empty. The cafe was still empty and the cashier was patient and friendly. She let me look at the menu while she finished setting up in the back. She also helped with recommendations, since I was indecisive. Ended up with the Island Green smoothie and Cali Breakfast Flatbread. The flatbread was a little tough to eat, but the filling was good. The smoothie was very sweet. Overall a good experience and will come back to try other dishes/smoothies.

I asked for a refund and the guy told me I had to call corporate (this has happened to me before but I thought they might've updated their website and processes). I call corporate just for them to tell me they'll send a email to the manager of that store to request one and they will get it with 15 min (doesn't really help if the manager isn't there which is why I couldn't get a refund right away in the first place). A day goes by and I haven't heard anything so I call this morning, 8/14 and ask to speak with the manager. Once again he is not there. I ask if there was any supervisor or duty and the lady tells me no. At this point I'm annoyed so I ask if there is only one person in the store designated to give refunds and she replies yes. I ask for someone's contact information and then she literally passed the phone to someone else and they both begin giggling. The girl who answered had to gather her composure and I could hear them both just continuing to laugh. She tells me the girl had to deal with something and had to go. How unprofessional is that? The new lady on the phone is now telling me that I have to call the Bethesda store to speak with the manager, who is Iglicio, if I want to get in contact with him. I call and he's not there just to get a lady to simply say, "Hello." I was taken aback and had to check if I had the right number. When I asked if this was Tropical Smoothie, with an attitude she goes, "Uh, yeah." Who are you all hiring?! This is highly unacceptable to me. Corporate can't tell me when I'm gonna receive a refund because they don't have contact with the stores. They can only send request. What is the point of corporate, then? And I should not have to track someone down just to receive a refund when the site wasn't update. I would've never ordered and gone through this AGAIN. I am highly disappointed in Tropical Smoothie and livid you employ people who think it's okay to pass phones and then laugh while customers are asking for refunds and to speak to a manager. Please know that you have loss a customer and I will be advising everyone I know to never order from any of your establishment again. This experience has been frustrating, the customer service has been horrible, and it makes no sense you all don't have a central way to give customers refunds. Highly disappointed.
