Delicious sauces and always well prepared. The egg white noodles are very good and a high protein low-cal way to enjoy a stir-fry. All the sauces are good. Make your own salad options are very wide also. Baby spinach, chicken, olives, feta, cukes, etc. The selection of veg and dressing is very good and the freshness is perfect. The dessert options are very tasty. Key lime cheese cake topped with graham cracker strudel, mini chocolate chips with real whipped cream is divine. Like an abundance of places now, you walk in, place your order on a touchscreen for either a stir fry bowl on noodles or rice, or a salad, and they make it fresh and bring the order to your table. Plenty of tables to be had at lunch time, and the restaurant was clean and bright. The pros: everyone was super friendly and plenty of touchscreens were available to place your order. If you did not need to modify your order, it was very easy to use. The cons: if you DID want to modify your order, the options did not seem very clear. I finally gave up and took my stir fry 'as is'. The food came out quickly, but unfortunately was quite, quite bland. I tried to spice it up with a variety of sauce packets, but none of those helped to make the food taste great. Also, the skimpy portion of tasteless tiny shrimp was certainly not enough to make up even the smallest portion of protein, so if that's what you're after, I recommend trying the chicken or steak. The staff is incredibly friendly, and if you visit often enough, they'll recognize you and warmly greet you each time. Food: The Chesapeake crab bowl is absolutely fantastic! As a Marylander, I truly hope they never take it off the menu. I liked the concept of premade options as it was my first time and no one really offered to assist. We tried the garlic butter shrimp and red coconut curry for our entrees, and focaccia. It was good but I felt like a few ingredients were missing. There were no snow peas or green onion in sight. I did add broccoli and Parmesan which I would recommend. I did think the bowl would be full for $15. Meanwhile, with double protein and veggies added for a price, the curry bowl was full. I've tried their OG Cobb Salad bowl. Their food is good- cooked well, lots of variety in their add-ons, and mildly flavored. I especially enjoyed their Spicy Garlic sauce. Their desserts stood out to me because I think having brownies clashes with the assumed branding here. I think they could benefit more on expanding their sauce options, maybe exploring more natural low sugar drinks, or exploring more nutritious sweet treats. It was a Saturday and I had it taste for something not too heavy but filling. I instantly thought why not get honeygrow. To my surprise, there was a location in Columbia, which I was closest to at the time. The inside was pretty clean and spacious with plenty of seating for groups of 2 to 4 people. They had about five self serve kiosk where you can place your order there. You have the option of choosing carryout or dine in. I decided to try the seasonal Chesapeake crab and added shrimp with extra sauce. I also added a side of the sesame garlic because I love that sauce. Our food came out in about 15 minutes and the staff brought it over to our table. I noticed before I started eating my bowl that the kitchen forgot to add my crab. The staff were very apologetic about the mistake and quickly fixed my order. However, just as an FYI, if you do choose carryout to maybe check your order before leaving the store. Now the food was absolutely delicious! The noodles inside of that old bay butter sauce (I think that was the sauce lol) were absolutely delicious. The sauce had a little bit of a kick to it, but not too spicy; and the chopped peppers and onions added a nice touch. Now I would definitely recommend you adding either extra crab or shrimp because the amount of crab that comes on the dish is more of a garnish if that makes sense. So it's not really a lot of crab. Before leaving, I decided I wanted to try the dessert which they call their honey bar. I also chose the seasonal dessert which was strawberry shortcake. That shortcake was so freaking good. The whipped cream was cool and fresh and the cake had a nice sweet taste to it. There was some sort of lemon custard at the bottom mixed in with the strawberries which really set it off. Lots of "bowls". Make your choice and then customize however you want. We were both happy with our selections. And pretty much everything is in the pretty healthy side, but tastes good (yeah you can have it both ways). Our food came to us quickly (grab your receipt and then have a seat; they'll bring your food to you). The waitstaff was all smiling the entire time we were there. I stopped into Honeygrow after I'd browsed in several stores in the same plaza, and I really only went in to see what Honeygrow is about and check out their menu. But I was so taken by the space, I decided I'd order something. It was very cute, bright and airy inside, with inviting looking seats and decor. That said, I had already eaten so I knew I didn't want to order a meal, though the various bowl options I saw on the menu were intriguing. I ended up building my own dessert bowl, which was pretty cool. The whole order process is through a screen/tablet situation. I was able to choose each piece of food that went into my dessert bowl, and then pay. In about 5 minutes, my name was called and I retrieved the bowl. It was a bit smaller than I anticipated for the price, BUT, the ingredients were good quality and I enjoyed it very much. A nice staff member came and cleared my table and I was good to go. The two ladies that were doing the food upfront said nothing. I really don't like that. It is unprofessional. The salad was fresh and crisp. It's quite noisy in here so bring noise canceling headphones if you plan to work during your lunch break. Expect to wait at least 10 minutes or more. Patience is key at this place. It's a "design your own" bowl type of interface that feels modern (there is a small tech learning curve) and is a welcome addition to the Columbia area. This location freshly opened in the Columbia Crossing shopping center and is much like other honeygrow locations (which is a good thing). There are multiple kiosks that you can order from where you can make your own bowl are pick between a handful of preset options. Note: those who aren't so accustomed to tech interfaces may have some difficulty with the kiosk, but there are staff members that are more than willing to help. The ingredients they use are typically fresh and tasty. I will say, don't make the same mistake I did where when you are making a bowl, if you select a different base, it will override the default base that it comes with. e.g. if you want veggies AND noodles, make sure it shows that on the screen because it will delete your first option if you're not paying attention (this was likely my own user error). The location is nice. Has decent amount of seating and a pretty big outdoor patio seating area as well. I'd totally recommend for a quick, healthy, and delicious meal. read more

Delicious fresh ingredients. I work in Columbia and was looking for a healthy option for lunch. I have been wanting to try out honey Grove for a little while and decided today would be the day. I tried to call to place a carryout order but I only got a general recording that said to place the order online. It was easy to login to their website and place a order after creating an account after placing the order. It gave me a confirmation email with the estimated pick up time. When I arrived, the restaurant was clean and orderly. I went straight to the counter and the young man behind brought my order right out to me. A short drive back to work. I opened up my order. Decided it looked great. Had a wonderful presentation. It was very delicious as well. The shrimp were cooked properly and the lettuce was fresh. They give you a generous portion so it kept me full for the day. I finished it all off and didn't even leave a single bite because it was so good. So far I love this new spot in town. I feel like if I'm grabbing a quick bite out I can somewhat make better choices here! So far I've had a really filling salad, the stir fry, and the key lime cheesecake. Service is easy enough ordering from the screens available and you have the option of ordering with a cashier as well. Staff seem pretty attentive if you need help or have questions. My wife and I tried Honeygrow for lunch today - Wednesday. When we arrived around 1pm it was quite busy, there was a short line to use the touch pad ordering devices (however when we left it had slowed down dramatically). I tried the spicy garlic bowl with chicken which sets you back $12.31....with fountain drink $15 (and of course you are prompted to leave a moderate tip, annoying). My wife tried the coconut curry. While we waited we noticed how filthy the place was, lots of food on the floor and a spill on the chair/floor next to us with a caution sign placed (why not clean it up?). Our food arrived in about 12-15 minutes, not bad considering how packed they were. The bowls are not terribly big, but probably fine for most people for lunch. I found the egg white noodles in the garlic bowl to be quite tough, maybe that is their nature or maybe they were undercooked. Not too much chicken either. The sauce was ok, a little bland, it would have helped to have a bottle of siracha on the table. My wife enjoyed the coconut curry bowl but I found it be somewhat bland as well. Overall, to each their own, I'm sure Honeygrow will do quite well, they do have fresh and healthy options. However it will compete for the $15 lunch crowd and in my opinion with so many options nearby, there are better places to go. read more

My husband and I were excited that the honeygrow in Columbia finally opened so we ordered takeout using the honeygrow online ordering system and had no problems. After picking up the food and driving 25 min home we realized we received the wrong order. The receipt on the outside of the to go bag was correct but the order tickets on the noodle boxes are incorrect despite it saying my name! I received wheat noodles and I absolutely cannot eat wheat because I have an allergy to wheat. The orders we got are completely different from what we purchased (see photo). This is extremely dangerous and could potentially be life threatening to those with FOOD ALLERGIES not to mention very inconvenient because we don't live close by. This is the best Honeygrow location in Maryland. Rockville was my go-to when I worked nearby there, but this location tops that. It's clean and new which is a plus, as well as being a delicious healthy option in the area for lunch. They're super generous with the proteins (shoutout for the shrimp, which is devained - this is not the case at other locations)! And the sauce? They don't skimp; it's mixed perfectly into every bite where I don't have to pay for extra. Plus, the staff here is awesome--always so kind and welcoming.
