Stopped here because we were in the area and were craving Vietnamese food. My girlfriend ordered pho Tai and I got the combination platter. Pho Tai was a disappointment, the "rare" beef was cut into very small pieces so it was fully cooked when it arrived. The meat portion is small. Broth was okay, nothing special (see picture). My rice dish (3 meat combo) was solid. Overall, pretty disappointed.
Oh Pho!!!! Jokes aside Pho La Cay is a good restaurant worthy of multiple visits. There is plenty of seating to accommodate you and your guests. The food was tasty especially the mixed combination with fried rice noodles. The fried noodle gives a a nice texture and flavor element to the dish that I enjoyed. The banh mi sandwich was good tho it's wasn't as stuffed as I've received from other Pho restaurants. I did add the fried egg to over medium that paired nicely once the runny yolk was integrating itself. The pork was seasoned nicely and it was cooked just right. The Pad Thai and beef Pho were consistent with that you'd expect it to be. I didn't try the summer rolls but the chicken was crispy and juicy. The seasoning did stop just shy of the outer layer of the skin but it was hot and fresh out the fryer. I did enjoy the ambiance and warm vibe of the restaurant. Overall 3.7 out of 5
Yum ! The food was so good! Although the drinks arrived after the entrees, the staff was moving the entire time. One waiter and 2 bussers/waiters served the whole floor. The kitchen was ON IT! All food for each table came out at the same time! The decor was cute and the sound was average. The TVs showed me more than I could imagine about the preparation of Vietnamese cuisine. I recommend this restaurant.

Overall my partner and I only spent 30 minutes there. Portions are large and filling. The main dishes were both tasty. However, the summer roll & peanut sauce appetizer didn't quite hit the mark for me. Too much shredded lettuce and not enough noodle. Overall this is a very decent place to satisfy a craving for Vietnamese food. The place is spacious with a nice interior. Very clean. Nice casual atmosphere.

Finally a great Vietnamese restaurant in Columbia- friendly staff; takes 15 min for food to arrive so not super-fast like other pho places. Bright and airy and easy parking. We had the BB, BC and M8 noodle soups- fresh mint and cabbage slightly wilted. Soups were hot and meats plentiful and very tasty.
Accepts cash and credit card. Tons of free parking. If you are familiar with Mi La Cay in Silver Spring, then the menu is very similar. Also similar recipe. We normally order the with pho noodle soup, crispy spring roll, grilled pork bahi mi and their pad thai: The crispy spring roll is good, but fairly small. The pork bahi mi was delicious. Wished the bread was a bit larger. The pad Thai was good, but it was a bit runny with tons of sauce. Their pho soup was the highlight of the meal. Good flavor and tons of ingredients. Overall, this place is worth giving it a try. Their soups are good. Maybe skip on the rolls here.

Pho La Cay always has quality broth. The broth is good on its own without having to add anything to it, but I like adding chili for that extra kick! I got the regular meatballs pho and I enjoy it every time I'm here. They're not a boba spot, but have a couple options on the menu if you're craving it- it's decent for what it is. Columbia is fortunate to have this location. They can be busy on some nights, but the quality of service is still great overall. Clean restaurant, easy parking, and reasonable prices.
I remember this place used to be The Noodles Corner or company. How did I not know that a pho place opened here several years ago? The owner used to work at Pho Dat Tan off of Snowden. They are so so nice. The food is great too. They do have broader menu unlike typical Vietnamese restaurants.
This place has never failed me ever. Been coming here for years with friends and family, and it's always nice seeing the same workers who are just as efficient, accommodating and kind. Food comes out in less than 15 minutes, even on a busy day. The portions are great and not bad for the price. The bún bò huế could be a little better, but that's my only complaint about the entirety of this restaurant.

Pho La Cay is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Columbia because they consistently deliver delicious cuisine that never disappoints! You can't go wrong with any of the entrees! The menu features classic Vietnamese staples like pho, banh mi, and a unique twist with their crispy Maryland chicken. The pho has an aromatic broth that complements the tender slices of beef and fresh herbs. Notably, the broth here is a bit sweeter than at other pho places, but this unique touch adds to its tastiness. The crispy Maryland chicken is a signature must-order dish! The chicken skin was very crunchy and the meat was juicy and well-seasoned! Personally, I like my banh mi smeared with pate and Vietnamese butter for that decadent taste. However, when I tried their grilled beef banh mi, I enjoyed how light it was and how you could truly taste the savory marinade of the beef. The restaurant had a warm ambiance and the staff were very attentive. We did have to specifically ask for cilantro, in addition to the basil, lime, jalapeño, and bean sprouts that came on the side for pho. They were very quick and accommodating, most importantly we did not feel rushed and could enjoy our meal with satisfaction. I would highly recommend Pho La Cay for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Vietnamese cuisine in a cozy and friendly setting!
Oh yeah... What's not to like? Family run, awesome Pho and one of my favorite dishes of all time, quail! Not since the days of visiting the long-closed Vietnamese Restaurant on Doyers St in Manhattan have I had those little Game birds prepared this unbelievably well. Fried to perfection, crispy skin and a killer dipping sauce. If I wasn't such a fool for Pho, I would have ordered three portions and been quite happy. But the Pho was excellent as well! How I envy those living close to this gem! I have to wait until I'm in the market again! read more
Pho broth feels watered down. Not a lot of meat compared to the ratio of noodles. No chili oil on the side. The Maryland chicken was pretty mid, not seasoned enough and needs the sauce thing. Not much reedeming qualities for this place other than its in a nice convenient location in this shopping center with Shuyi and Tour Le Jour. Oh and I like the tomato rice but its nothing too crazy. And the servers were too busy watching TV or playing around on their phone to check in on us or other several tables. Would like to see them improve. read more

Fair food but the broth is a bit sweet and the meat slices a bit thick. Supposedly the most authentic in the area but we still prefer Pho75 in Rockville. Service was fast and cordial. The atmosphere was modern and clean. read more

This is our go to restaurant for Vietnamese food although disappointed to find out they are closed on mondays! The soup broth for pho is impeccable and I love their summer rolls and spring rolls -tried the beef wrapped in grape leaves and a little pricey but I did enjoy the flavor- their small pho is generous and good enough for me but husband and daughter more satisfied with large size - ambience is fair and service friendly ! read more
I know this place has pho in the name, but I keep coming back here for the GR2. The service is really quick even during a busy dinner time and the food is consistently awesome. My family also enjoys the curry vermicelli which is also fire. I've had their banh mi as well and was impressed. The ambiance is casual and open seating. Waiters are always sweet and helpful. On a cold day after completing a work requirement, I was really in the mood for some hot pho! I was in the Columbia area because you know, work requirement, and decided to search Yelp to see what was nearby for options. Insert Pho La Cay! I walked in, was seated immediately and able to place my order. The food came out pretty quickly and piping hot! I ordered the summer rolls and chicken pho. I will say I was not a fan of the summer rolls. They included a piece of pork which really wasn't my steam. It also (the pork) tasted underdone for my liking so I removed it. The pho was excellent! It gave me that warm cozy at home comfort meal feeling! I would definitely return and the price was good. With appetizer and pho (large bowl to be exact) my bill came to $21. I added a $10 tip on top of it. Would definitely return whenever I'm in the area. read more

Overall- good food and okay service We frequent Pho La Cay. We almost always get the beef pho and the flat stir fried rice noodles (MX3). Both are delicious. Every time we get MX3 it comes out looking different- always delicious but not quite sure why it's different. We also like the beef in grape leaves appetizer. The papaya salad is good- very spicy. Service is just okay and ambiance is very casual. My two year old really loves the soup and noodles here. read more

At first when they open, was good, 3 month or so later? Yeah don't even try. Has to be one of the worst vietnamese food i have ever tried. Size of food, way off (all noodles but no meat), food didnt have any meat at all when order the special pho and Bun Bo Hue, i don't want to keep complaining, but over all, really disappointed. I really try to like this place. And customer services is not there either. read more
PLC is a Vietnamese restaurant that is located in Baltimore MD. The food is awesome the service is just as good. There are tables for small and large groups. Huge windows in the store front allow brilliant lighting into the main foyer. Wait staff is attentive and can offer menu options based on preference. I never made any adult beverages on the menu but I believe they offer beer wine and soft drinks. read more

Always the best when it comes to pho and BB. We don't really get the appetizers here, however their pho and bun bo hue is the best. They also have the steamed pork buns near the register that are great warmed up. Great service/people and food. read more

Pho La Cay is always a treat to visit and the staff has always been super kind. They have a pretty standard menu as far as Vietnamese cuisine goes (albeit, I am not Vietnamese, so don't quote me if they're missing your favorite dish). We ordered the: Flat rice noodles (MX3) - there's an option to get this with or without sauce. We get it with sauce and it's normally cooked with a little crisp to give it a little extra flavor. Well-balanced and a go-to item whenever we go. The pho (I got the P3) is good although if I were to offer a little critique, the broth tends to be on the lighter side whereas I would love if it had a little more depth/body to it. The rice noodles also tend to be a little lackluster and cold/sticky. The papaya salad w/ shrimp: has a bit of a kick. I'm normally pretty good with spice. I would say this is an above average type of spice. It has good flavor, but is refreshing at the same time thanks to the papaya. A good "extra" item to cut some of the flavors from the other dishes you may have ordered. Honestly one of the things I enjoy the most about eating here is that the restaurant is unfortunately not as popular as some of its neighbors, so we're able to get great, fast service every time. I think it's underrated and if you're in the neighborhood and find yourself on a waiting list - don't hesitate to try out Pho La Cay. read more

We came here because it was close by to Costco and we were looking for something warm to eat. The restaurant is kind of in a deadish looking plaza, but there is plenty of parking right out front. I ordered my usual at any pho restaurant that offers: the Bún Bò Huế! I must say their soup is especially salty, but I really like it! I do have to drink a ton of water afterwards though. My husband ordered a Viet sandwich along with some pho bowl. We thought the pho bowl was an additional $4 add-on, but became a whole separate pho bowl order? So I guess we misunderstood the menu on the add-ons for their sandwiches. Overall it was a great experience and customer service is amazing here!! Will definitely be back for more! read more

Is the pho noodle soup gluten free?
Yes, pho noodles are made of rice. They are rice noodles. So they are gluten free. You can google the question to verify that if you'd like. Hope it helps and that you get to enjoy a nice bowl of pho on a cold day! :)
Do they have vegetarian/vegan options?
They have tofu summer rolls, a vegan broth if you want pho, and tofu bahn mi (sandwich ) in spicy lemongrass or plain. There may be more but these are the things I've ordered.
