    Red Monster Roll with jalapeno

A group and I can't here after a nice workout close by. It's a lot smaller on the inside then pictures show and I was surprised. There was maybe about a total of eight tables. I was a little skeptical with ordering sushi from such a small establishment but seeing I'll try something limited in the area we decided to stay and give it a try. The order salad, calamari, and miso soup for appetizers. Rolls that were ordered ranged from the Red Monster Roll to salmon rolls. Service was nice and we were given cinnamon tea at the end by one of the chefs. We were surprised to find it cold but somehow it definitely worked. I'm even thinking about incorporating cold cinnamon tea as a summer drink.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! It has a small yet intimate dining area. I enjoyed the lunch special with a friend. There were plenty of lunch options to choose from. The service was quick and courteous. I look forward to eating here again soon.

Sushi is always good, great polite and professional service with a casual atmosphere and ambience................................

This is the sushi we got. Look like someone ate out of it or the chef cannot even cut the raw fish. If the chef cannot cut the fish, I would not trust them preparing the food. I don't want food poisoning.

small restaurant but great food and great hospitality! Would come again. wished they had more individual nigiri options but they do have sushi+nigiri dinner sets

Lunch Special: 2 rolls (California Roll and Salmon Avocado Roll) and 5 piece nigiri (eel, crab salad, salmon, red snapper, tuna)

Awesome Lunch Specials that are also available on Saturdays! They have various options for 2 or 3 rolls for $9.50 and $13.50 or combos of rolls and your choice of nigiri for $13.50 and they all come with miso soup! I got the 2 rolls and 5 piece nigiri for $13.50. I ordered California Roll and Salmon Avocado Roll and 5 piece nigiri: eel, crab salad, salmon, red snapper, tuna. Overall, good sushi for the price and definitely recommend it for an affordable sushi option! Ordering online and pick up was quick and easy, they were also offering 10% off for online orders through the website.

Our first time here and we will definitely be back! We loved it! The service was great - even with the COVID setbacks. Pricing wasn't bad either! Gyoza was warm and had a nice crunch. The Yaki Maki roll and Crab Cake Tempura rolls were our favorite! We will definitely order these again. We always order a California roll as a safety net, and I personally love the Maryland (sometimes known as Baltimore) roll. This wasn't our favorite California roll ever, but it was decent. The Yummy Yummy roll was ok. Perhaps it would be better dine-in. Spicy mayo is an additional $50 and very good! We were able to place the order and pay through the Yelp app - gratuity included! We also saved 10% with the code that can be found in their updates! Overall a great spot! Highly recommend!

This place was a little tough to find. It's in the Harris Teeter shopping center, by the subway. I met a friend here. I ordered the spicy kimchi ramen and the GaZa roll. The ramen noodles were a bit over cooked, but they bring you a heaping bowl. The GaZa roll was supposed to be tuna and it was white fish. They also bring a dish of edamame as their "bread" basket. Service was good. Price for 1 ramen and 1 sushi roll was $29.

I'm not usually a delivery kinda gal - I like to either dine in or pick up myself, but it was the middle of a workday between meetings and couldn't make the time. Wanted to support a new biz and saw tons of love for Sushi Nari on Yelp and GrubHub, so decided to go for it! Their ordering system was easy to navigate, with descriptions of the rolls included and modifications (like extra cream cheese, avocado) available. I was hoping to snag a lunch special, i.e. 2 rolls for $xyz, but saw that they only have these for direct orders on their website for takeout only. I opted for two traditional rolls (Spicy Tuna and Philly) and a specialty house roll (Crunch Spicy Salmon) because what can I say? I'm an equal opportunity foodie. Delivery arrived on time and packaged neatly. First bite and I was impressed! The rice is sticky, soft and fluffy, so there was a lot of 'volume' in every bite. It made the traditional rolls feel enough, which is usually not the norm at sushi restaurants. The salmon inside the spicy salmon roll was really fresh as well. Lots of crunch for sure. Would definitely consider ordering again, but directly from the biz for pickup. Sushi is definitely a high cost meal already, plus the added delivery fees really sent it over the top.

Nice tiny place. Maybe 8 tables. Good lunch specials. Will come back when I am in the area.

How does the lunch special work on Saturdays? It states it runs Saturdays 12-3pm (per their online ordering app) but they're not open until 3pm on Saturdays? 🧐 🤔?

Dine-in are not available until 3 pm on Saturday but take out or delivery order from Doordash, Uber Eat and Grabhub are available.

Sushi rolls were all great and fresh. Yellow tail hibachi I was just a little different on the flavor , but it was very fresh and presented in a beautiful way. I also got Wago beef rice. Rice was great, very flavorful. but I was not a fan of the beef - It was couple huge pieces. Rea tender. Not your typical way of beef in fried rice. Yet fresh and good. I would come and try other dishes.

Takumi Japanese Bistro and Bar…read more My first visit to this welcome addition to our local mall. The restaurant blends modern and traditional Japanese design and occupies the former space where a coffee shop once stood. There is ample free parking outside, though Friday evenings in this part of Columbia are notoriously busy. Food -- Thoughtfully presented, visually appealing, and made with fresh ingredients. Seafood Miso Soup -- A large bowl filled with whole fresh clams, scallops, shrimp, and green onion. A very generous portion--so much so that she brought some home to enjoy later. Salmon Skin Salad -- Pieces of salmon skin ranging from crispy to slightly chewy, mixed with cucumber, fish roe, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. A delicious combination. Signature Maki - "Maryland" Roll -- Beautifully presented with blue crab, shishito peppers (mild and slightly sweet), Old Bay-torched salmon, spicy mayo, and rice pearls. Both friends quickly devoured theirs. Prices felt somewhat higher than typical mall fare, but the freshness of the ingredients and attention to detail made it worthwhile. The entire staff we encountered were engaging and genuinely seemed happy to be there for their guests. A big nod to management for making hospitality an important part of the dining experience. One minor suggestion: the attractive menus could use periodic checks, as a few pages appeared a bit worn. I would happily recommend a visit--perhaps on a less hectic day so you can enjoy the décor and food at a more relaxed pace. There is also an outdoor patio that will be especially appealing once the warmer weather returns.

I am a lover of tuna and regardless of the roll I order, specialty or regular tuna, they are all delicious. My family and I came in for dinner to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival, I was shocked to see how packed it was, but that was telling of how good their food is. There were a lot of birthdays being celebrated that evening, and it was a Wednesday. They had a private room available, but there is a food minimum and you have to take your shoes off (floor table set up). Though we were offered the option, we decided to just sit in the main area since we were coming with a few older family members and didn't want them to struggle to put shoes back on later and they prefer sitting in chairs. They have sushi, teriyaki, platters and combination dishes. We all had something different, ordering from the combination options, teriyaki and some sushi on the side. Since we all ordered a special, it came with miso soup and salad. The food was brought out in a staggered manner - three out of the five of us got our food before the others, and they almost finished half of their dish before ours even came out. I had the beef teriyaki and I was shocked to see that it was a large piece of beef, and we were given knives to cut it up. I am used to the meats being already cut up, so this was different. The food was still good though! I will say that I wish there were more broccoli, than bean sprouts accompanying the meat - the dish was still delicious though! The chunk of meat was so large that I actually had leftovers to bring home as a second meal. The sushi was impressive. Not only was the selection so large and I wanted to order every single one of the special rolls (but I didn't because my eyes tend to be bigger than my stomach), they use all fresh ingredients. The shumai was unimpressive, but because everything else was good, I didn't really mind it. I feel like my rice bowl was not full, as most restaurants pack the rice into the bowl; whereas I felt like there were air pockets in mine so there was a little less. To my surprise, they had a decent dessert menu: several ice cream options, variety of mochi and a few cake selections. Because they knew we were celebrating a birthday, they surprised us with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream, topped with different cookies to share! It came out with a sparkler, and the employees singing along to a soundtrack played on the speakers. This really made my sister feel so special, and as I said before, it seemed like most of the larger parties there were also celebrating a birthday that evening. Delicious food, friendly service, easy parking and fun atmosphere!

Solid meal, friendly service, with a few nitpicks. details: We went on a pretty quiet Monday afternoon to grab a sushi (and more) dinner. There were hardly any people for context. There's a bar (by the sushi making station), tables, and booths to sit. Plenty of seating. The ambiance is kind of modern with familiar touches of an Asian/Japanese dining experience. There's TVs everywhere, which I assume would be playing sports/news (but there weren't any games happening at that time). That's where my nitpick actually is. I don't think they monitor this very closely and so there were a few explicit songs and videos playing at the time we were there. It wasn't anything hardcore or anything, but something to be cognizant about if you're going with little ones. The food was solid. Things did take a little longer than what I expected considering how quiet the place was when we were there. However, things did taste fresh and made to order, so I'm guessing/assuming the time went to make things fresh which is definitely nice. All the food we ordered was well balanced with flavor and cooked well. The sushi menu felt a bit more on the Americanized side for me. e.g. there's lots of rolls with cream cheese and mayo type of sauces. But, what we did order was very tasty. Positive experience all around and I would recommend checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for some Japanese cuisine.
