I got everything for take out. Order took about 20min. Prices are good and food quality is good. Crazy salmon roll: 5/5 I'd get this again and again. This might be my order every time I get something from here. Quality is good and fish pieces are big. Scallop fried rice: 5/5 comes with a white sauce on the side. I'm not sure what it is but it makes the dish taste better. I would get this again. Many scallop pieces and good portion size. Steak hibachi: 4/5 I probably wouldn't get this again. Steak was a bit chewy and just okay overall.

Best sushi I've had had in long time. I happened to come here because it was near an event I had to work and wanted to eat something light. I had such an amazing experience I would drive the 30 mins to come back. Plenty of parking. Came on a Saturday at 6ish and service was fast and food came out just as fast. They did give me a complimentary soup and a small version of one of their appetizers. I don't know why I got this complimentary gift of goodness, maybe cause I was by myself sitting at sushi bar or maybe cause I ordered shrimp shims I and they didn't have any. Either way I'm grateful because I got to try the Sushi Q and it was delicious. I also ordered the Hollywood and absolutely delightful and the chef sauce was just the right amount of spicy. I will be back and bring more customers! Ok just when I asked for the check they gave me a complimentary pound cake! Delicious. Highly recommend this place not because I got the complimentary things but because the people are friendly, the food is amazing and service is quick.

What a lovely place ! Great food , great Ambience , Great Service. All Checks ! They have Hugeeeeeeeeeeeeee sushi rolls menu priced pretty well. We ordered Vegetable tempura followed by bunch of Vegetarian Sushi rolls - Garden Roll , Mango Avocado , Sweet Potato tempura and Peanut Avocado. Freebies always make you happy ! They gave us with FREE soup and FREE Appetizer (Some imitation crab with soy sauce and yum yum sauce ) and a FREE cheesecake at the end as dessert. Lots of freebies. Everything we ate was really good ! and we could be regular at this restaurant.

Met up with a date here for an early dinner. It was pretty empty but all the staff were very friendly. We ordered our own rolls - I got the Black Dragon and a Tuna Mango roll. Shortly after ordering, we were brought complimentary miso soup and some fried crab app to share. It was really nice to receive them! Then our rolls came out. I loved mine. The ingredients were fresh and were both tasty. When we were finished and about to pay, they brought us some complimentary cake as well. It was dense and lightly sweet but really good. It was so nice they provided some complimentary items which I really appreciated. Definitely great service here and I will be visiting again!

I just moved to the area and saw this place, I love sushi!!!! So I definitely had to give it a try, the service was great from the time I walked in, I ordered two different sushi rolls and they were so good and very filling, they also gave me a complimentary appetizer I thought that was nice, I definitely planned on going back to try more sushi!!!

Loved this sushi place! They start by giving you a free appetizer which includes some shrimp tempura and mushroom soup. All of the rolls we ordered were fantastic, including the Naruto roll (my favorite), Christmas tree roll, and 151 Fire (which comes with a little fire in the display). Service was efficient and friendly. There is lots of seating in the restaurant (a mix of chairs and booths) so you could certainly go with a small or larger group.

Came in for a fairly late dinner. Food came out fairly quickly. Our server was nice. The seaweed salad was ok. Could of been a bit cooler for my liking. We got the lover roll which was good. Well assembled. I'd get it again. We got a spicy tuna which is a classic and was good. We also got a spider roll which I was not a fan of. Didn't like the white - I'm assuming regular mayo - sauce on top. Also the roll was kind of hard to eat. But I would come back

This was a very surprising find for me. Not a huge sushi person personally, but I found myself here with a couple of friends on Memorial Day. The menu does say no lunch specials on Holidays but the staff had no issue with it, which was great. The lunch specials involve 3 rolls for about $15, and includes a miso soup and a small salad, which in all, is quite worth in comparision to sushi restaurants in the area. The meal itself was surprisingly delightful. All three rolls tasted fresh and it was filling for a solid lunch. A big fan of the mango tuna (although I definately love Mangos on a general basis). There are alot of options to select from in terms of sushi rolls and non of my friends were upset about their selections either. In general we were all plesently surprised. The restaurant is nothing posh, not the greatest vibe, but the bathroom is well kept. They also have guava candies by the cashier station on your way out, which as a nice little last touch. Also for the vegetarians, there are a few selections of vegetarian rolls. The staff was also nice enough to provide another soup selection for my vegetarian friends, which was great to see, given that we have seen conflict before in a few other places. Did enjoy my time here, and I look forward to coming back for more sushi when I get the chance.

In honesty, when I decided I wanted sushi, we had another eatery in mind, but they didn't open until 4pm, so we had to pivot. Having positive experiences at varying Sushi Q locations, we decided to give this particular location a try (as it was long the way-and their menu didn't seem to change much from the other locations)- though this particular visit, I wasn't able to order my typical go-to-favorites, as I had to adjust for pregnancy. Scanning the menu, looking for rolls like those I had wanted from the other in-mind eatery-I instantly realized it was a positive thing our original place was closed, as Sushi Q had such an expansive variety of cooked/non-raw specialty rolls, beyond my expectations. It wasn't all 'shrimp or crab tempuras' but way more dynamic ingredients, like cooked fishes-lobster-fresh crab rolls-spider crab-and more! We tried: (all very decent sizes-well stuffed rolls-at comparable prices based on 'specialty' of ingredients) Maryland Roll-(5stars)- fried softshell crab, large amounts of shredded fresh crab, covered in thick avocado pieces- the roll was very filling (in a positive way) The shredded crab & avocado gave a freshness to the fried element of the softshell crab Winter Roll-(4stars)-fried tuna, fried shrimp, and jalapenos- though many fried elements, the flavor pairing from both types of meat with the heat of the raw jalapeno was delectable Spicy Girl Roll-(4 stars) smoked salmon, crab, and a house spicy mayo-I LOVED the heartiness of the chunks of proteins on top of the roll- and the flavor profile from the blend-but the mayo made the roll a heavier (glad I was splitting with hubby- I would not be able to do a whole roll on its own & pair w.other foods at the same meal) Ginger Scallop Shrimp Roll (4.5stars)-unique flavor! The fresh ginger & crunchies were a wow pop-the ginger gave a lightness, while the scallop & shrimp gave a hearty satisfying yum, I did not want to share the roll with hubby haha We will definitely end up back at Sushi Q, as while selecting our rolls for this visit, I created a very a long want-to-try future list, though we will end up back at our original location, just because of travel ease- but as I said we've always had positive experiences from the varying locations- the menus don't seem to change drastically, and I've had friendly staff interactions at each- we've also gotten a free basic roll at each location as a thank you for our larger order (this visit I have no idea what it was-shrimp tempura, crab, cucumbers, and a spicy mayo-but it was a delicious add on I'm glad I got the chance to try out)

Great sushi! Came in on a weekday around lunch time and it was pretty busy, but we were able to get a table fairly quickly. They have reasonably priced lunch specials that include soup and salad. We got a sashimi special and another specials with 3 rolls. We ended up sharing the 2 specials and this is definitely the move imo-- you get so much more variety and still get to have the pricing of a lunch special. Our sushi took a little while to come out, but they served us a complimentary appetizer in the mean time (I'm assuming to appease us lol). I believe it was the sushi Q appetizer since it was like a deep fried crab stick smothered in sauce. The sushi tasted fresh and was a good portion size. I'm not usually a big fan of spicy tuna because of the texture, but this one was really flavorful and ended up being one of my favorites of the selection. I'd recommend this place and would definitely come here for the lunch special again.

Solid meal, friendly service, with a few nitpicks. details: We went on a pretty quiet Monday afternoon to grab a sushi (and more) dinner. There were hardly any people for context. There's a bar (by the sushi making station), tables, and booths to sit. Plenty of seating. The ambiance is kind of modern with familiar touches of an Asian/Japanese dining experience. There's TVs everywhere, which I assume would be playing sports/news (but there weren't any games happening at that time). That's where my nitpick actually is. I don't think they monitor this very closely and so there were a few explicit songs and videos playing at the time we were there. It wasn't anything hardcore or anything, but something to be cognizant about if you're going with little ones. The food was solid. Things did take a little longer than what I expected considering how quiet the place was when we were there. However, things did taste fresh and made to order, so I'm guessing/assuming the time went to make things fresh which is definitely nice. All the food we ordered was well balanced with flavor and cooked well. The sushi menu felt a bit more on the Americanized side for me. e.g. there's lots of rolls with cream cheese and mayo type of sauces. But, what we did order was very tasty. Positive experience all around and I would recommend checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for some Japanese cuisine.

My go-to sushi place in columbia!…read more Food: 5/5 I cannot rave more about the freshness of the sushi here. I am a lover of tuna and regardless of the roll I order, specialty or regular tuna, they are all delicious. My family and I came in for dinner to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival, I was shocked to see how packed it was, but that was telling of how good their food is. There were a lot of birthdays being celebrated that evening, and it was a Wednesday. They had a private room available, but there is a food minimum and you have to take your shoes off (floor table set up). Though we were offered the option, we decided to just sit in the main area since we were coming with a few older family members and didn't want them to struggle to put shoes back on later and they prefer sitting in chairs. They have sushi, teriyaki, platters and combination dishes. We all had something different, ordering from the combination options, teriyaki and some sushi on the side. Since we all ordered a special, it came with miso soup and salad. The food was brought out in a staggered manner - three out of the five of us got our food before the others, and they almost finished half of their dish before ours even came out. I had the beef teriyaki and I was shocked to see that it was a large piece of beef, and we were given knives to cut it up. I am used to the meats being already cut up, so this was different. The food was still good though! I will say that I wish there were more broccoli, than bean sprouts accompanying the meat - the dish was still delicious though! The chunk of meat was so large that I actually had leftovers to bring home as a second meal. The sushi was impressive. Not only was the selection so large and I wanted to order every single one of the special rolls (but I didn't because my eyes tend to be bigger than my stomach), they use all fresh ingredients. The shumai was unimpressive, but because everything else was good, I didn't really mind it. I feel like my rice bowl was not full, as most restaurants pack the rice into the bowl; whereas I felt like there were air pockets in mine so there was a little less. To my surprise, they had a decent dessert menu: several ice cream options, variety of mochi and a few cake selections. Because they knew we were celebrating a birthday, they surprised us with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream, topped with different cookies to share! It came out with a sparkler, and the employees singing along to a soundtrack played on the speakers. This really made my sister feel so special, and as I said before, it seemed like most of the larger parties there were also celebrating a birthday that evening. Delicious food, friendly service, easy parking and fun atmosphere!

The restaurant blends modern and traditional Japanese design and occupies the former space where a coffee shop once stood. There is ample free parking outside, though Friday evenings in this part of Columbia are notoriously busy. Food -- Thoughtfully presented, visually appealing, and made with fresh ingredients. Seafood Miso Soup -- A large bowl filled with whole fresh clams, scallops, shrimp, and green onion. A very generous portion--so much so that she brought some home to enjoy later. Salmon Skin Salad -- Pieces of salmon skin ranging from crispy to slightly chewy, mixed with cucumber, fish roe, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. A delicious combination. Signature Maki - "Maryland" Roll -- Beautifully presented with blue crab, shishito peppers (mild and slightly sweet), Old Bay-torched salmon, spicy mayo, and rice pearls. Both friends quickly devoured theirs. Prices felt somewhat higher than typical mall fare, but the freshness of the ingredients and attention to detail made it worthwhile. The entire staff we encountered were engaging and genuinely seemed happy to be there for their guests. A big nod to management for making hospitality an important part of the dining experience. One minor suggestion: the attractive menus could use periodic checks, as a few pages appeared a bit worn. I would happily recommend a visit--perhaps on a less hectic day so you can enjoy the décor and food at a more relaxed pace. There is also an outdoor patio that will be especially appealing once the warmer weather returns.

Even the 4th of July roll grew on us after adjusting some ingredients, proving some dishes had potential with small tweaks. The edamame was as expected good and slightly salted. And the beef negimaki the rubbery texture was off putting for some of our group as a preference.
