hot and sour soup (takeout put into our own bowls)

My family loves this place. We most often order sushi (maki), specifically the salmon-avacodo/alaska and spicy-tuna rolls. We almost always get take out. Sandy, the lady who works at the front is very friendly. She recognizes us now when we call and asks how things are going. In our experience, the food is always very good and the price is reasonable for the area and time. I will warn that the wait for picking up the food has been long at times in the past and has been longer than we were told. This has been frustrating when it happened, but now I usually come a little later than she says, and I don't remember waiting in years. I'm not a sushi connoisseur or snob, but in my opinion the salmon avacado roll is essentially the same as other sushi restaurants in the area and they have one of my favorite spicy tuna rolls. (We have ordered other rolls in the past although I don't remember them well. We really decided these other two are our favorites at all sushi places.) Other things we have ordered include moo shu, lo mein, hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, fried rice, seaweed salad, various fried chicken dishes, and others. We've enjoyed all of it that I can remember. I included some pictures of the salmon-avacado and spicy tuna rolls. My kids love it too.

1/2 way gravy was bland needed help

Tried this place today after seeing the review for the egg foo young. Well let me say he doesn't know egg foo young!! It was bland needed seasoning and was lacking a lot! I came home and added salt to the gravy and 5 spice cause that was the best egg foo young I had it was well seasoned. I so remembered this ! But this one trash! Needed too much help.

a bowl of fried rice with shrimp and vegetables

I am a regular at this restaurant often for lunch or dinner. The owners make a special dish for me. The food is delicious and fresh. Also the portions are a great amount. You should definitely try this rest!!!

    Shrimp Lo Main, extra shrimp

I have been going here for years. One of the best places in Columbia to get Chinese food from. They are very friendly and take pride in getting to know there customers. The chicken fried rice and shrimp lo main are two of my faves

Excellent local chinese resturaunt. they have not been overrun with the make everything sweet trend. The service is acceptable and the food quite consistent. We always have leftovers. Of course, who can say its authentic, unless we understand authenthic Americanized Chinese food, with sushi to start. i guesss this is really Americans Japanese Cinese fusion, especially if that makes it easier to accept. Anyway, we enjoy it. Eat well, tip well.

    Bad general tso chicken.

Good Chinese food. I like the orange beef with fried rice lunch special. It's a little spicy but I like it that way!

Terrible service and food. The General Tso's chicken is bland with no crust. Owner waitress is rude. Made me feel like I was bothering her.

Hot damn, this place is amazing! Usually lots of people do the Japanese grill, which is very…read moresimilar to Korean BBQ grilling where it's communal. But since it was just me, I opted for seating at the bar. There are 2 bars at this location--one at the drink bar and one at the sushi bar. The drinks are VERY good, and the bartenders are very receptive to your orders and all. Ambiance was good--not too dark, just right. Very chic. I ordered a LOT. Several pieces of sushi, chicken karage (which I saw people post pics of, and that's what convinced me to check it out.), Japanese curry, and some other sashimi and little burgers. They were all fantastic! The chicken karage was the big hit--so delicious you can taste it thru the pictures. The curry wasn't spicy at all, but seeing as it's Japanese style, it's more on the savory and tasty side, not on the spicy side. Overall very delicious. The wagyu sashimi was VERY long (that's what she said), so eating one piece whole isn't recommended. Chew it, then swallow. The mini burgers were everything you love about Japanese takes on purpose burgers. Done perfectly, with that amazing bbq grill taste, too. The sushi was fresh and tasted amazing. My only gripe is that their ordering system is odd; you can only order so many pieces of food per order number. There are order limits, but it's setup such that the kitchen doesn't get overwhelmed. That being said, your orders usually come out pretty quickly. I highly recommend this place!

My second time here…read more I do really like this area of Columbia and realize that I want to hang out here more often. When you arrive at the restaurant, the hostess greets you and ask if you have a reservation. Both times I've been here, it wasn't too busy but it was during the week. Service is really good. They're always very helpful in explaining the menu. We went with the AYCE Master option. The Legend option with the Wagyu looks appealing but I can't justify spending $88 a person. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem spending the money, since most of it goes to alcohol when we're having dinner anyways, but it was a really nice experience. This would be a place I would bring friends from out of town who want to have an experience similar what you would find NYC or Vegas. We had a really good time, especially on $10 margaritas and all you can eat meat. The presentation is really wonderful and I love the thought behind the presentation when it comes out. The Wagyu Fried Rice and Curry is one of the bests I've ever had. And the scallops with butter on the grill were awesome. Definitely a favorite. I will add the the iPad that you order with will start a timer for 90 minutes, and you can only put in an order every ten minutes which was annoying, so I did feel a bit of pressure with ordering. The time limit is to control time spent which makes sense if it was busy. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the wet mop smell we had during dinner, but don't know if it is because it was hot out and the AC was not blasting high enough with all the grills going off, so it was kind of hot and sticky during dinner. I may come back next time to check out Happy Hour next time! Vibes are actually pretty cool. Service is great.
