1/2 way gravy was bland needed help

Tried this place today after seeing the review for the egg foo young. Well let me say he doesn't know egg foo young!! It was bland needed seasoning and was lacking a lot! I came home and added salt to the gravy and 5 spice cause that was the best egg foo young I had it was well seasoned. I so remembered this ! But this one trash! Needed too much help.

a bowl of fried rice with shrimp and vegetables

I am a regular at this restaurant often for lunch or dinner. The owners make a special dish for me. The food is delicious and fresh. Also the portions are a great amount. You should definitely try this rest!!!

Shrimp Lo Main, extra shrimp

I have been going here for years. One of the best places in Columbia to get Chinese food from. They are very friendly and take pride in getting to know there customers. The chicken fried rice and shrimp lo main are two of my faves

Excellent local chinese resturaunt. they have not been overrun with the make everything sweet trend. The service is acceptable and the food quite consistent. We always have leftovers. Of course, who can say its authentic, unless we understand authenthic Americanized Chinese food, with sushi to start. i guesss this is really Americans Japanese Cinese fusion, especially if that makes it easier to accept. Anyway, we enjoy it. Eat well, tip well.

Bad general tso chicken.

Good Chinese food. I like the orange beef with fried rice lunch special. It's a little spicy but I like it that way!

Terrible service and food. The General Tso's chicken is bland with no crust. Owner waitress is rude. Made me feel like I was bothering her.

You can immediately taste the difference - everything is freshly made and flavorful. My favorite dim sum dish is the shrimp rice noodle rolls and these were a standout here -- the noodles were thin but still soft, with a smooth texture that wasn't sticky or gummy. My next favorite is the pineapple custard bun and these were yummy -- the top had that nice, thick, crunchy crust you want (like a cookie) with a rich custard inside! They also had bubble tea and fruit teas, which are a nice and refreshing addition to dim sum! They have ample free parking and their entryway lives up to its name - really transports you to an ancient Chinese manor! The space is also large and open, with many different sections - would be great for hosting events, family gatherings, or big group meals while still having some privacy. Service was warm and attentive even during their soft opening, and the whole experience feels like a big step up for Hunan Manor. The owners also stopped by to check in to get feedback. If you're a dim sum lover or curious about the revamped menu, this is definitely worth a visit - Columbia finally has a standout dim sum brunch and Chinese spot!

The spice levels for the sichuan pepper-centric dishes were the star but never overpowering or too spicy. And surprisingly, the pricing for each of the dishes were so low compared to the experience I was getting. Like I kept thinking how can this product be this good but this cheap? We ordered the N2 12 Hour Stewed Pork Noodles and the Beef Noodle Soup with Chili Oil on the side. I would highly recommend all 4 things we tried as they were the perfect combination for the winter weather. The noodles were thick, chewy, and bouncy and very fresh with none of them sticking or losing its firm texture. The flavors of each dish was distinct but not overpowering and the meat quality was excellent and plentiful. The restaurant is next to a high quality boba store as well so it doesn't hurt to double dip (which we did). We waited 20-30 minutes to get seated since it was super busy with one waiter handling all the tables so they didn't check in often unless we asked which is totally fine. This is a great modern casual dinner spot for a date and even takeout. I will definitely be back many times as this is a staple I really enjoy.
