    While in Hanover, a desperate craving for sushi led me to Tomo Asian Cuisine, which just happened to be the closest sushi restaurant to where I was running errands. The funny thing: I did not order a traditional sushi meal. Fortunately, I stopped by Tomo right around lunchtime on a Saturday, which meant lunch specials. For my dining pleasure, I went with a Chicken Teriyaki Box (about 15 bucks), which comes your main protein, rice, small salad, California roll (4 pieces), and gyoza (2 pieces). Actually, I think a miso soup was included in the special. Overall, I thought my meal was great, especially for the price and portion size. Although I went with a lunch combo, I thought the regular (non lunch items) prices were pretty standard compared to other Japanese places in the area. Food aside, I had a nice dining experience because the service was welcoming, prompt, and friendly. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious and clean. Also, being in a medium to large shopping center provides a perfect opportunity to combine sushi therapy with retail therapy. Additionally, there is plenty of FREE parking in the shopping center, which makes life a little sweeter. Since I live a bit away from this location, I probably would visit Tomo again only if I'm in the immediate area. That said, it's nice to have a decent sushi option (ok, so I really didn't order sushi) just in case I happen to be in Arundel Mills...for whatever reason.

    Ample parking. Lots of tables never crowded .... Food fresh. The ambiance is subpar. They could use some more something. Ran more like a carry out than an actual nice restaurant to sit down in. I don't know what it is ....waitress was nice prices fair.... Sushi rolls divine.

    I love, love, love sushi and sashimi. Visited many restaurants in different parts of the country, and I cannot recommend Tomo at all. My gripes: Perhaps I am not as versed as I think I am in sashimi, but I have never ever seen sashimi served alongside cubes of cheese. I am not a fan. The sashimi platter was served with cubes of salmon and tuna, accompanied by rice and cheese cubes. Umm, what? Additionally, the tuna didn't seem fresh at all -- it was a bit hard on the outside, but mushy on the inside -- as if it was sitting out. The sushi I ordered was not the greatest either. Spicy tuna with avocado, topped with crab. Sounds decent, right? NOT. It was garnished with this weird tasting sauce that did not complement it at all. Service was great. The waitress was friendly and attentive. That's where the one star comes from. Will not visit again.

    Food is so fresh and savory from Unagi don, Crazy Tuna Roll, and Panang Curry. Everything tastes so good! Place was neat and organized so as the service. The staff were fast in assisting all the tables.

    Delicious and fresh! The service was outstanding--attentive and friendly throughout. Everything we tried tasted incredibly fresh. This spot is perfect for either lunch or dinner. Highly recommend!

    I got the Singapore noodles and they're delicious to me. It comes w beef, chicken, and shrimp. I get it without beef. They are spicy so if you don't want spicy, make sure to let them know. Otherwise it is flavorful and I add soy sauce and it is a 10/10.

    Came here service was OK. Food was good, crab raccoon was pretty good. Ambience was chill. Wasn't too many people in here. Thought it might've been nasty but it wasn't bad. Actually, I would come back. Pretty quiet overall solid sushi place.

    Sunday, 10/6/24: Per usual, when there's a BWI departure on the agenda, undoubtedly, a trip to Tomo's is included. We ate light this time because we ain't even hungry ATP. I'm tired of driving, tired of crying (happy tears), tired of eating (I've eaten more this weekend than I have all month!) but making memories with my children will NEVER get old! Tomo's is a staple because they have never disappointed us. It's never crowded and our orders are always beautiful and delicious. Our hot saki, steamed gyoza, spicy tuna, Sunshine, salmon avocado and Baltimore rolls were PERFECT. LOL ... doesn't sound like we ate light but, trust me, we most def had leftovers to take home.

    So I love sushi and I was looking for a nice sushi place close to my house and I'm so happy I stopped in for a bite. Conveniently located on the outside of Arundel Mills. Nice, clean establishment with a welcoming vibe. I was greeted with a smile and seated immediately. Our server was very nice and courteous. The food was affordable and the house wines were excellent. If you enjoy a sweet wine, I recommend the Plum Wine. So good I had to buy a bottle to go. The Scorpion King sushi was delicious and the portions were amazing. I couldn't eat it all, I had to take it home and it warmed up nicely the next day for leftovers. If you are looking for an affordable sushi night out, I highly recommend. Enjoy!

    If you live in the local area, this place is a no-frills sushi place with pretty quick service and pretty presentation. My partner and I like to go here mid-week for dinner when we don't feel like cooking. All of the seats are wooden booth seating, which I really like. The waiters are professional and attentive, but don't circle back too often. The sushi we order doesn't have too much rice packed on like other places. On our most recent trip, I got the unagi don and he got the pork katsu curry. We will be back!

    Though they have indoor dining, I placed a phone takeout order for this trip. This was my first visit. The male staff person who took the order was friendly, professional and patient. After taking the order, he projected a pickup time of 15 minutes. Since I had never been there, I arrived early and waited inside. This afforded an opportunity to see the interior of the restaurant. It is a smaller scale eat-in dining establishment located within a retail location along with a variety of other businesses. The restaurant had a nice ambiance with a clean appearance. As for seating, there was booth, individual tables, as well as some seats at the bar. The menu is standard but features many options from which to choose; it features everything from sushi to kitchen entrees and then some. They offer takeout and dine-in lunch and dinner options. The location is open for business daily with parking that is open and ample. I ordered California rolls and Shrimp Tempura, which were both good. The sushi was fresh and neatly packaged. The Thai tea was refreshing and a little sweet but still tasty. I would definitely order everything again. Additionally, the menu is so vast that I would try some other menu items. I was really impressed with the customer service. The same person who took the order, handed me the order , thanked me for visiting and told me to have a good night. Overall, it was a good experience.

    Hmmm let's just say I was left wanting more... this was Red Parrot before and they had flavor when they first launched then fell off throughout the years... Tomo seemed to have picked up where they left off. No flavor, very bland food IMO. We got the bento meals and it seems the food has been through a lot. Not enthused not even for a quick snack. No bar yet waiting on license so no real reason to venture back here. Nice water pitcher though

    Great sushi and good service The entrance was a little hard to find but once we made our way in we were seated immediately. We tried several appetizers and they were all great. Sushi was fresh and delicious. The green tea was good and hot and plentiful. Seemed like a great takeout spot as well as they were busy with order pickup throughout our time there.

This was borderline for me. Very tasty teriyaki sauce, etc., but the strips of chicken were dry to being almost inedible for me. I'm picky that way ;) My DGD enjoyed her ramen and DD liked the Pink Lady roll. Out the door with tip, just over $57 and that's a bit ouchy for me but we all have leftovers, so it works out to $28 per meal, I guess that's not bad. I would like to try some other menu items, and DD said she wants to take DGD there for lunch sometime. So it seems we will be back.

The driver arrived about 30 minutes after the food was supposedly ready, then had to wait another 15 minutes because the order still wasn't finished. She mentioned they were busy, which I understood. I asked through the driver for extra soy sauce to be added to the bag, and the restaurant immediately called me. Somehow there was a miscommunication, and they thought I was asking for free potsticker entree. I was not. I simply wanted extra soy sauce. They said they don't offer potsticker sauce, so I asked to substitute it for spicy mayo instead. Just a kind accommodation. What disappointed me most was the customer service and the treatment of the doordash driver---everything far as principle... I've ordered from other locations before, and they were far more polite and accommodating than this Hanover location. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION AS LONG AS The general manager, Alex, is still employed here. He comes across as sarcastic, passive-aggressive, and dismissive during our conversation. Even when the driver offered to pay for the extra sauce, he still refused. All this over 99 cents!?! At that point, it wasn't even about the $0.99 sauce anymore -- it was the attitude. A little kindness and professionalism go a long way, especially when a customer has already spent over $40 on an order. The food quality was also below average this time. Chicken was overly spicy, and the coleslaw was dry and seemed to have little to no mayo. I called about the quality, the Manger did not care and refused to give the district number. I've been recovering from recent health issues and honestly did not have the energy for this level of unnecessary stress over something so small. Policies are fine, but there's no reason to treat people poorly while enforcing them. I've escalated the issue to corporate. THIS SHOULD NOT BE NORMALIZE and a known REP of this location. its a huge inconvenience. It costs nothing to be kind. I will not order from here till professional changes been made. I reported this incident to Better business bureau. Look forward to hearing back from corporate
