This is such an adorable spot! I love that it's open so late, and it was super crowded even at 9:45 pm - we had to wait a bit to be seated, so you may want a reservation if you have a group. The banchan is great (love the pickled radishes) and we loved their new dish, the cheesy spicy gratin. It came out hot and bubbling! The spicy sauce, cheese, veggies, and crispy rice were all so good together. I need to come back for the fried chicken and omu-rice I saw the person next to me order! Portions are large and the menu is great. The decorations are so cute too! Definitely recommend going here.
Was craving tofu soup while in the area and Kong Pocha popped up first on the List. It was busy on a Friday night, but we managed to snag 1 of the 2 empty tables. To start we had the fried shumai, which was just okay. Our tofu came out shortly after. Both the seafood and pork were quite good. Generous amounts of tofu and each had a slightly kick with the cooked jalapenos. They both had a good amount of seafood or pork - definitely comforting and tasty. Will definitely be back to try other menu items! Service was attentive and pleasant. By the time we left (just a little afterwards 7pm), there was a wait. The restaurant isn't that big, but has a decent amount of tables. Parking is available in the lot just outside the restaurant, but you may have to circle a few times before finding a spot.
New fav spot for Korean fried chicken! My daughter and I came and we enjoyed everything we had. The bones less chicken was a huge hit and we loved that it also has French fries and salad. I had a bulgogi bibimbap in a hot stone bowl that was also good. The spicy sauce that came on the side really made it extra good. We enjoyed the steamed dumplings and sauce. Super cute decor and friendly staff.
I think this place is great vibes. It's open late, and honestly an amazing place to come for some late night drinking and snacks. The service is also awesome; the servers are super nice and attentive; they refilled the banchan as soon as they saw that we were finished. The banchan was probably my favorite part; the soft tofu was a nice balance of sweet and spicy. The picked radish and the kimchi were also fresh, crispy, and yummy. We got the bulgogi, sweet and spicy chicken, and the kongbination. I think of the entrees, the bulgogi was my favorite. The ratio of meat to veggies was good; the meat was tender and had that classic sweet bulgogi flavor. The sweet and spicy chicken was interesting. We didn't know it was going to come with salad and fires (this could be a pro or con depending on who you are). The chicken itself was cooked pretty good; it was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The sauce on top is Mae Ploy sweet and spicy sauce (the stuff you dip your spring rolls in at Thai restaurants). I think this really threw me off. it wasn't bad, but I think I was expecting some kind of gochujang/ gochugaru based sweet and spicy sauce. Again, the Mae Ploy sauce did throw we off a lot. The Kongbination was okay; it was the bulgogi, the sweet and spicy chicken, and spicy pork. Two of the three things we already ordered on its own (this was our fault) so the pork was the only new thing. Overall, nothing really wowed me. That being said, I will definitely be coming here again. The vibes are great. I definitely want to come back and try different things on their menu. I also definitely will be getting drinks too next time.
I've only gotten to eat here once and the food is little pricier than typical Korean pub IMO, the portion and quality of food you get is worth it. The staff are super friendly,and the place is hip and cozy. We tried Rose ddukbokgi which was flavorful but not spicy. I wish they have regular ddukbokgi though. Fried chicken was battered and fried perfectly. It is a great place to grab a late night snack and few drinks.

I LOVE KONG POCHA!!! They're open late so it's a great spot to just have a late night dinner or a spot to talk and chat with a friend with while eating delicious authentic Korean food! The inside feels like you're inside a cool night club and the staff is beyond nice! I absolutely love coming here. I got carrots one night and was so sad that I was leaving lol The restrooms are clean, the prices are reasonable, the patrons are huge so if you get a whole chicken, expect to share it with someone. Overall this place is a 10/5 for me and I recommend them without a doubt.
Food and service were top notch. The chicken was so crispy and honestly some of the best Kim chi I've ever had. The corn pancake was amazing. Portions are huge. The only complaint is they are not in my home town but I will definitely be back when I'm in the area next year
Got the KONGPINATION bowl. Hit the spot, no complaints. Good amount of portions, perfect for one hungry adult but I couldnt finish it in one sitting. Easy Korean comfort food. Nice place to be. Packed with people socializing on a Friday night. Missed to take a few pics of the ambiance but trust me you'd enjoy your Chimek (치맥) here after work.
Amazing gem of a restaurant! Fantastic food, huge portions, and super efficient staff. Every dish was delicious, and seasoned to perfection. The garlic chicken was crispy on the outside, and hot and juicy on the inside. The stew was warm and had the perfect amount of spice. Our friends had nothing but compliments for their dishes as well! For a non-alc option, definitely recommend the peach tea!
Their chicken platter with fries and salad seems like a classic, but was not a fan. Fries were soggy and the chicken batter was crunchy not crispy, thick and heavy. Rice cakes were underwhelming. The sauce was good but thin and didnt coat the ricecakes well so itself a bit bland. Now their brisket on the other hand was phenomenal. The vibes are perfect with staple pocha food, but in terms of good food I'd go another place, especially with many options a bit north. Maybe should've tried their udon which a lot of people seem to recommend.
Big portions and great service. Such a nice space to just hang and talk. The food is always a good touch too. Not too spicy and way more than you would expect to be getting.

My family and I had an outstanding dinner at Kong Pocha. We visited on a Sunday evening around 7 PM and didn't have to wait at all. We were seated immediately in a booth that comfortably fit our party of seven. The atmosphere was relaxed, quiet, and welcoming, which made it easy to enjoy dinner and conversation. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. We ordered our drinks, and they were at the table in what felt like less than 30 seconds. It honestly seemed like our server turned around after taking the order and another staff member was already coming around the corner with our drinks. I ordered the whole bone in soy garlic fried chicken, which came with a fresh salad. The chicken was everything Korean fried chicken should be. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The soy garlic glaze was absolutely incredible. It had the perfect balance of sweet and savory while still letting the crunch of the chicken come through. The rest of our table ordered two curry chicken rice bowls, a spicy chicken rice bowl, pork soft tofu soup, the Kongbination, plus edamame and fried dumplings to share. Every dish that came to the table looked photo worthy. The presentation was outstanding, and the food tasted every bit as good as it looked. One thing that really stood out was the portion sizes. Kong Pocha definitely doesn't skimp on food. Every plate and bowl was generously portioned, and almost everyone left with leftovers to enjoy the next day. The only small downside was the beer prices. Around $11 for a Sapporo and $7 for an Asahi felt a little high, but honestly, the quality of the food, the generous portions, and the overall experience more than made up for it. Parking was easy during our visit. The shopping center has a decent sized lot, although I could see it getting a little tight if all of the neighboring businesses were busy. It wasn't an issue for us. Whether you're a longtime fan of Korean food or trying it for the first time, Kong Pocha is a great choice. It's perfect for families, groups, date nights, or anyone looking for authentic Korean food with generous portions and excellent service. We came here on Labor Day 2026, and unfortunately, this was not our best experience. We have been here before, which makes this visit especially disappointing. I ordered the fried chicken, which came with fries. The person helping is said in response that the menu says it comes with fries. It does not for say that for that particular menu item. I have a potato allergy, so I obviously could not eat the fries. My husband had no problem with them, so we took them and I simply ordered something else. I also ordered dumplings, but later realized I could not eat those either because they were fried in the same oil. We did not make a big deal about any of this or give our waitress a hard time. We simply moved on and ordered other food. Unfortunately, the bigger issue was the quality of the food we actually received. The steamed egg was burnt. They brought out a replacement, but that one tasted burnt as well, so I asked for it to be removed from the check. My husband felt that the meat in the dumplings tasted old, and the rice had a sour taste to it. My beef bulgogi had very little beef and an overwhelming amount of onions and filler. We still paid our bill and left a proper, generous tip. Before leaving, I spoke with the person at the register (who was also our waitress) and politely mentioned that something seemed off with the food. I even suggested that they might want to speak with someone in the kitchen about it. What really upset me was the response I received. Instead of acknowledging the concerns about the food, the waitress became defensive and said, "Maybe next time you should tell someone about your allergy." That comment was completely unnecessary. If there had been a problem involving my allergy, I would have addressed it directly. We didn't complain about the chicken or fries--we simply didn't eat what I couldn't have and ordered something else. Our concern was the quality and taste of the food we did order. We were polite. We were kind. We paid our bill. We left a generous tip. We weren't looking for anything for free or trying to cause a scene. We simply wanted to let the restaurant know that the food did not seem right. Unfortunately, we walked away feeling dismissed rather than heard. I've eaten here before and wanted to like this visit, but this time it was disappointing from both the food and service perspectives. We will not encourage others to go there either. I came in as a hungry Korean and left as a hungry Korean. Hopefully the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because I would hate for a place I've enjoyed before to continue going in this direction. read more

This place is a hidden gem! Everything we ordered was delicious, the service was fast, and our food came out in a timely manner. The portions are generous, so you definitely get a good amount of food for what you pay. I'm taking off one star because they automatically added a 20% service charge for a party of just four. I could understand if we were a larger group, like six or more, but for a table of four it felt unnecessary. read more

6.21.25 Delicious Korean cuisine with fast and friendly service. Highly recommend the kongbination as you get three types of meat: beef, chicken, and pork. You can add curry for an extra $1 or cheese for an extra $2. I added the cheese which was melted on the rice. So yummy!! Notes: -Use QR code at the table to view menu. I was unaware and was waiting for my server to bring one until I asked him. -They are closed on Tuesdays and open daily at 4pm and stay open until 1:30-2a.m. depending on day. read more
We came through on Sunday night with a party of four after long time staking this place and reading reviews. The decor is cozy and intimate. Love the interior, our waiter was very friendly and the portions were HUGE (in a good way)! Be mindful that some items are meant to be shared amongst the table. It's not a bad thing, but if you want a meal for just yourself, I would recommend asking your waiter how big your order is. Food was very delicious and left there very full and satisfied read more

TLDR: Fans of Kong Pocha in Baltimore will be thrilled to find the same Korean comfort food now in Columbia. No KBBQ, but the fried chicken and tteokbokki are great. Cozy space, friendly service, generous portion. Perfect for a casual group meal with soju and beer. As longtime regulars at Kong Pocha's original spot in Baltimore's small single street Koreatown, we were ecstatic when they opened a second location in Columbia. While this new spot is smaller, a dozen or so four-top tables, it still maintains the Kong Pocha vibe from the original. The Columbia location skips the Korean BBQ grills, but they've kept most of the other menu with some new items. We ordered our usual favorites, the traditional Korean fried chicken, regular tteokbokki, mandu fried dumplings and the corn cheese. We also tried their new seafood cream udon dish which was creamy, peppery and full of seafood. Everything came out fast, piping hot, and in generous portions. Service was excellent like Kong is known for, attentive and super friendly. This is the kind of place you come to with a few friends, order a table full of dishes to share, and take shots of soju with a Terra beer chaser. All in all, Kong Pocha is a fantastic addition to the Columbia food scene, offering a similar experience of Baltimore's Koreatown right here in Howard County. We'll definitely be back! read more

When we heard Kong Pocha was opening in Columbia, we had to go! We love the Baltimore location, and this one is just as good! The food: fresh, delicious and huge portions for the price. You'll definitely get your moneys worth and have leftovers. Staff: super attentive and quick. Location: parking can be a bit crowded, but the space itself has a decent seating area and we saw a lot of pick up orders. Can't wait to be back! read more

The food is to die for. Soo good!!! Service they are so friendly. Tried to communicate with Deaf couple. It was so sweet. The ambiance it is a bit dark but they were so sweet they turn up the light for us Friendly and fast. I'd recommend this. Quiet too!! Even better. read more
Good bar food style Korean food. Their corn cheese is very flavorful and the rose tteokbokkk is cooked well (chewy rice cake and flavorful sauce) although not completely traditional in flavor, it's very spicy! The whole fried chicken is pricy but big portion. The recommend sauce on the side (got sweet and soy) but that meant the chicken was pretty bland without dipping it. Would return to try some other dishes but note that their prices are a bit steep. Plenty of seating and staff is polite and service is pretty quick read more

This place was fantastic. Came here with some friends so we could try multiple dishes. Loved the Mala Seafood Cream Udon and Corn Pancake. The Cream Udon has a deep umami flavor and the noodles had the right texture. They loaded the dish with a lot of seafood too. The Corn Pancake might not look like much, but it was sweet, tasty with both a crunchy and chewy texture. We tried the Tofu Kimchi, a dish with big cuts of steamed tofu and a kimchi pork stir fry. The stir fry was good, but the aforementioned dishes blew us out of the park, that this one took the backseat. Lastly, we tried the Clam Soup. It would have been very refreshing after all the heavy food, but the jalapenos that they used were SUPER spicy. We ended up adding more water to our bowls just to be able to tolerate it. Otherwise, great flavor. The spot is located in a small shopping strip with limited parking, especially on a busy night. The entrance is funny because they put some sort of decal on the door to make it look like the doors in a historical drama. Inside is a bit dim - think pub lighting. The walls are plastered with fun posters and random korean pop art. There are a few tables, but it can get full quickly. We got there at 5 and seated right away, but then they started a waitlist. Reservations are not available at this time. Service was great. Although they only had 2 people taking orders and running food, 1 person in the kitchen, they were pretty efficient and all with a welcoming attitude. Looking forward to coming back to try their chicken. Oh, and don't forget to try some Korean alcohol with your meal. I recommend Makgeoli (a fermented rice wine drink), or some Soju. read more
Smaller sized restaurant with decent parking lot size. Food was tasty and service was good. What we ordered: - seafood pancake : so good! Loved the batter/ texture and the flavor was great! 5/5 - bibimbap (beef bulgogi) : not bad 3/5 - mala seafood udon : overall flavor was good, but the only issue I had was that it would leave a severely tingly feeling on my tongue as an aftertaste that would go away after ~5mins. (Friend said it could be Szechuan peppers?) 3/5 would be higher without that tingly feeling. read more

Unfortunately I did not get to dine here this time after waiting five minutes to get a parking spot entered into the establishment it was small & quaint smelled wonderful and the food I saw on the table looked wonderful however it was an hour wait so we left. Will be trying again on another night that's not a Saturday will call before I go to see if it's a wait read more
I was excited to try this restaurant. I heard a lot of good things about their Baltimore location. It lived up to the hype. The food was amazing, and the service was great. The restaurant was also very relaxed. I'm happy that we finally have a legit Korean bar/restaurant in Columbia. I'd definitely comeback again. read more

More importantly the food was great for korean bar/street food classics, not quite the place you come for a kbbq or a full traditional korean menu this place does the bar/street food classics right. They are open on the later side so nice to stop but for some late night eats and drinks. Got the corn pancake, seafood mala udon and boneless chicken. The corn pancake was heavenly, so chessy sweet that perfect blend of sweet and savory with a crispy taste. The seafood Mala udon had plenty of seafood and the right amount of heat. The boneless chicken was crispy and juicy and the soy garlic sauce was amazing. Comes with plenty of fries and a side salad. Overall this spot is great for simple korean bar/street food classics, god drinks. the prices here were reasonable and the vibe was chill. I've been wanting to try this place out for a while so decided to stop by with my daughter who's really into tteokbokki these days. We stopped by for early dinner and were seated right away. When you walk in, it's a bit dark and has restaurant bar feel. We ordered the rose tteokbokki and boneless butter chicken. The food came out at a reasonable time and the presentation was great. However, I can't say we loved the food. It was decent but my daughter didn't like the tteokbokki because it tasted too cheesy and not the typical tteokbokki she's used to. And the butter chicken really wasn't our thing with the sweet flavor and the breading was too thick and hard at times. But the service was excellent with them checking on us frequently to make sure we were ok. Also, I thought it was a bit pricey for what we got - $18 for tteokbokki and $27 for boneless butter chicken. I'll probably give this place another try and order something different but was sad that my daughter's first restaurant tteokbokki experience was a disappointment for her. read more

My first thought on this restaurant was why are the chicken wings so expensive but once I got my meal it made perfect sense. You get enough chicken to feed at least 2 if not 3 ppl. Wings were super crunchy and packed with flavor! Highly recommend 10/10 read more

I was looking for a late night meal after a night of tennis. Everywhere else seemed close so I yelped to see which restaurants were open. This place popped up and I could tell the food would be good since it was quite packed at 10:30pm. The food didn't disappoint. I got the fried chicken that also came with chicken chunks. Coupled with the sauces. I'll definitely be back. read more
