I'm so impressed! All aspects of this restaurant were met with incredible detail, from the dishware to the cozy modern interior to the food. We got the katsu don, katsu with curry udon, and bossam (off the chef's special menu). Everything was delicious and creative. I have never had bossam so uniquely made with pickled lettuce wrapping, cucumber, and a garlic paste spread atop the pork belly pieces. Each table has a screen for self-order, but an in-person staff member is always available as well. Excellent all around!

Probably the most delicious katsu curry I've had around here! Food: 5/5 please try one of their dishes containing katsu. I got the tonkatsu with my curry udon, and my husband got chicken katsu curry. Both were delicious, and not too heavy on the sodium. It tastes like they must make their own curry in house instead of using those pre-made cubes at the grocery stores. Service: 5/5 the servers are there to deliver the food and bring water/napkins/utensils to the table. There is a tablet at the table where you order everything and request the check when you are ready. Everyone was very kind and pleasant to interact with, and it was very easy to navigate the tablet. Ambiance: the place appears like the average asian cafe, however the music was matching a nighttime asian bar vibe. We went around 7pm so this works for the evening, but I wonder what it is like during the daytime.

Food here is surprisingly good! I was a little wary looking at how big their menu was, but my family and I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. The pork tonkatsu and hamburg steak were our favorites, but the curry was yummy too. Formerly known as Kare Bar, the restaurant has been revamped to include more Korean menus items (including anju). The interior looks pretty much the same as before, except that it's a bit trendier. Few people know about the change from Kare Bar to Jumak right now, so it's easy to get a table when you walk in. I imagine it'll start to get busier with time though.

I've been here at least five times and dream and salivate of the food. im its biggest fan. and the menu is so big?? and the servers are so sweet and hella attentive. you will not be abandoned. FOOD BREAKDOWN - the chicken katsu is the crunchiest and non greasy thing ever!! if you get it with no curry, you have a chance of keeping it crispier. - the flatbread where you can drizzle honey yourself...me, my boyfriend, and my friends DREAM about this. combination of sweet (but not too sweet) and savoury with almonds topped off. - kimchi stew (has pork) is spicy and i love how they have hella vegetables like beansprouts in it. the spicy makes it challenging and i like a challenge #meow. - soba noodles were refreshing. hella toppings. love it, never miss. and it's pretty now i feel prettier. if you see me Jumak, please know i (alexis le) love your food and the vibes and you.

Tried this new spot out for dinner today. The ambiance was cozy!! Service was good and waitress made good recommendations for us, as the menu was rather large. The apps were all so delicious! Honorable mention for the Tori Karaage. Definitely get in here and try this place out

This place replaced the old Kare Bar that use to be here, but they seemed to incorporate most of the old menu and decor. They added plenty of korean staples like tteboki and jigae. I had the tonkotsu and it was perfectly crisp, and came with plenty of sides. Service was impeccable, everything came out fast and we were checked up on often. Would go again 10/10

Went to eat there for the first time. Soups, appetizers, and entrees were delicious and would order again. Ordered all items the waitress recommended and we were not disappointed. Highly recommend the restaurant for any occasion.

Yummy food and a nice place to grab a late meal with friends. Prices are a bit high, but the friendly service, atmosphere, and presentation make it a solid spot.

Amazing food, quick service, and a warm, inviting ambiance made for a perfect dining experience.

We tried out a combo meal of 6 with ribeye, sirloin, mainly beef. The servers also grilled and cut all the meats for us which is nice. All side dishes are pretty standard like most other Korean restaurants. A delicious bowl of steam eggs came with the meal, wish they would at least offer two bowls for a party of 6 and surprisingly no rice came with the combo. We had to add an extra order of steak and seafood pancake since no one was really full with the combo. I would say this place is for those who have high expectations of fresh & premium meats. You will not be stuff or over indulged because it can be quite pricey. Our bill with tips & taxes was about $55 per person. It's a bit pricey for lunch and I wasn't even full. If you never been to this restaurant before, I recommend that you try it out at least once but I don't think we will be back here anytime soon.

The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly and checked in on us often to make sure we didn't need anything. The food was delicious and fresh. Would definitely recommend if you're in the mood for some traditional Korean soups/dishes. Details: They are located in the route 40 shopping center area near HoneyPig/EC Diner and the venue is a pretty modest sized location. There's still a decent amount of seating (standard table and chairs) with small-ish bathrooms. The menu items range from like mid 10s to mid 20s on average depending on what kind of protein you're ordering. The portion sizes are pretty generous. I think my favorite menu item we tried was the snowflake dumpling. Very aesthetically pleasing, but also tasty and crispy. The banchan (side dishes) were fresh. As far as the flavors go, I was happy with all the entrees. The dishes had the depth of flavors you hope for when you eat soup like these. The meats were also tender and well cooked too. Overall positive experience!

Not bad by any means, but not quite what I was hoping for in terms of depth of flavor. That said, it's still probably one of the better Korean spots in the neighborhood. The space itself is really small and definitely gets busy, so be prepared for a bit of a wait or tight seating. Prices are also on the higher side (around $20 per dish), which adds to the expectations. I will say, the service was warm and friendly, which I appreciated. Overall, if you're not making Korean food at home, this is likely your best local option; but I might stick to my own bone broth next time

Given the various Korean restaurants in the area, I must say that this place is a great spot for family, friends and group gatherings. The food here is very fresh and the staff are very friendly. We ordered various dishes from their LA Galbi, Bossam, Fish and tofu soup combo, seafood pancake, spicy pork and their rice cake soup. The LA Galbi was the best we had in town. Tons of flavor and the meat was juicy and meaty. The Bossam was delicious. Pork was tender and comes with sides to help you bring out the flavor of the dish. Definitely ask for their bean sauce and slices of jalapeño and fresh raw garlic. The fish and tofu soup is really good and can be shared with others. Fish was fresh and flaky. The seafood pancake was thick and has tons of seafood and comes with a nice dipping sauce. The spicy pork was plenty and has tons of flavor. Not too spicy. The rice cake soup was surprisingly good. Tons of flavor with slices of rice cake, eggs and pieces of beef. Great for sharing especially with young kids. Overall, this place is great to check out if you are in the area. Comes hungry and you will be satisfied. Cheers!

The pork belly was not as flavorful but comes with sauces. Some the meat was dry for this dish. 4. Beef bulgogi (no pictured) -- honestly paled in comparison of the other dishes and had the driest meat. I wouldn't get it again tbh

My Korean friend even said some of the dishes remind him of his mom's cooking, which I think is a very high compliment :) Since it's so affordable and a buffet, don't expect anything intricate or outstanding. I found that some of the sushi was not savory/flavorful enough. And I wish there were some dessert options. But overall, I do like this place!
