    a red food truck

Stumbled upon this food truck nestled in the parking lot behind an ice cream place. Good BBQ, friendly staff - just a bit expensive. If you're driving through this area & are hungry, I would recommend the brisket.

Great bark! Not enough bite. The brisket was cooked well. It was tender and most and fell apart in my fingers. It was clear that they took their time cooking it. The flavor was good and somewhat smoky but wasn't consistently through all the meat. Don't get me wrong. The first bite was delicious. I just wanted my eyes to roll back in my head throughout the meal and that just didn't happen. The pulled pork was nothing to write Yelp about. Well, I take that back. After I ate most of it, I tried it with the spicy sauce and it was pretty good. I'm going with five stars for now because I would go back and will go back--partly to relive that first bite and partly to see if it was a fluke. Update: I'm hedging on four stars. I went back to try the brisket and had the same reaction. Well-cooked but the flavor was hit or miss. If I find a better place in Maryland, I'll drop a star.

Very great experience both with the food & service! First timers checking this place out the other day and we were not disappointed. The price point is great and we all know BBQ can get pretty expensive. I loved the creations their menu featured. I had the "Rick" which was brisket and smoked Turkey together on a sandwich. It had pickles and a little mustard. Very good. We also had the baked beans and the Mac and cheese for sides. Both were great and I loved how creative the beans were and the hugs chunks of meat it included. My husband had the plain brisket sandwich as well as the brisket chili and he enjoyed them both. We were able to sample a few items which was so kind of the employees/owners which helped us decide what we'd be having. We will most certainly be retuning! Thank you!!

We were looking for something to eat fast to take back home while out running errands in Catonsville. We're not familiar with the area, but found this food truck through Google. We were pleased to find there were no customers on a Saturday afternoon around 12:30 so we ordered and were given our sandwiches with barely any wait time. The sandwiches are incredible. I ordered the Brisket and it's excellent. Moist, flavorful, smoky, and the sandwich was pretty large. I was expecting a smaller sandwich since it's what I've experienced from other food trucks in the past. The sauces were OK, we got sweet and hot to try, they were nothing to write home about. I'm knocking a star off for the Cole Slaw. I agree with another Yelper, the portions are very small. I think for the price, they should be larger. I wish it wasn't almost, sweet tasting, and could have used salt. Maybe it's just a different style of cole slaw than what I'm used to? I just wasn't impressed? Will I return? Oh absolutely. The quality of meat in our sandwiches alone, AND for a reasonable price, is enough to keep coming back. I recommend if you're in the mood for a smoked BBQ sandwich!

The beef was incredibly tender, juicy, and far surpassed what I've had at Canopy Pit Beef in Ellicott City. It's a no-frills setup: cash only, picnic tables only, and no indoor seating, but the quick, friendly service more than makes up for it. I just wish they were closer... though maybe it's better that they're not. Highly recommend.

We arrived shortly before closing. Upon entering, the place is really small and the ambiance was filled with a smokey scent and can be a bit claustrophobic when filled to capacity. There is off street parking available on the lot behind the store. There were tables and benches in front of the store to sit and eat your food. NOTE: THIS IS A CASH ONLY BUSINESS. We were greeted by a pleasant man and placed our order behind clear plexiglass: a "super" (extra meat) pit beef, a pit turkey, and an order of fries. They also had pit ham, gravy and you could get the sandwich as a sub. We watched as they prepared the order through the plexiglass, cutting the meat on deli cutting machines and weighing each meat order. We asked if the fries were hot and were told they were "always" hot as we watched them take fries they were previously fried and "double fry" them for crispiness. They had a list of sauces available to add on the sandwich or on the side. We got the "tiger" sauce (horseradish and mayo) and bbq sauces on the side. Our order was ready in no time and the sandwiches: the pit beef sandwich was piled high with thin slices of well cooked although a bit dry (don't know if it was because it was the end of the day and we arrived close to closing), pit beef with a great smokey flavor. I added the bbq sauce (which was sweet and a bit vinegary, which I liked) on the meat and it added the perfect sweet balance to the savory smokiness of the meat. We wanted to try the tiger sauce (combo of mayo and horseradish) but were afraid as it seemed like this sauce was sitting out on the counter and with the mayo, we didn't want an upset stomach. The bun was fresh and I really enjoyed this sandwich. The pit turkey had thin slices (this meat seemed to be similar to the turkey you can get from the deli) on a fresh roll. The meat was not dry and this sandwich was good as well. The fries were best eaten as soon as we got them and they were hot, crispy, and fresh. All in all, we enjoyed our food and would come back again to grab a couple of sandwiches and try the gravy option.

Shrimp were good no wow factor, wings were good just plain but would have been better if they had a sauce and the burnt ends had more of a smoked bbq flavor which was different than usual but very tender and tasty. It was served with mixed vegetables and coleslaw. Veggies were ok and seasoned and coleslaw was to be desired. Not burnt ends is an entree on the menu. For entrees: crispy chicken sandwich with fries and chicken Mishkaki. Can I say, wow the portion required stretch pants! The sandwich; meat to bun is 20% more chicken than bread. It was seasoned and fried to perfection. The fries are in house cut and seasoned well too. The chicken Mishkaki is dish never tried before but reminds you of Nazan Halal's chicken with more of a rich tomato stew flavor with peppers, onions. It was about 8 to 10 skinless thin thighs seasoned and fork tenderness served in its own plate, then another plate with rice and the fixings. Think of a fajita sizzling plate and side plate of the fixings, same as this dish. I would definitely visit again! I almost didn't though, once you dig past social media, you'll see a mix of good and bad reviews, and for a split second that gave me pause. Glad I ignored that feeling. We came on a Saturday around noon for lunch with the family. Addy's sits on the edge of a larger shopping center, nothing flashy, but easy enough to find. When you walk in, the counter is right there and the dining area is pretty small, maybe 8-10 tables total. We were greeted right away by the woman at the register, let her know we were dining in, and she handed us menus to take to our table. I had seen reviews mentioning clutter or stacked plates inside, but that wasn't the case at all during our visit. Everything was clean and in order. They had some jazz playing over the speakers, which gave the place a chill, quiet-to-moderate vibe. Lighting was average, not dim, not bright. Seating is a mix of booths and tables with chairs. I started in a chair, then slid over to the booth side of the table for more leg room. I was never uncomfortable either way. There was one person waiting on food when we arrived. We ordered at the counter and had our food in about 8 minutes, which felt quick. The same woman who took our order also brought the food out, smiled, and checked on us after. No complaints at all on service. It wasn't busy while we were there, but on our way out there was a line of about six people, so it clearly picked up. What we ordered: * Brisket Quesadilla - Shredded brisket with melted cheese in a tortilla, served with sour cream and salsa. The brisket was tender, well-seasoned, and had a light smokiness that came through nicely. * Beef Ribs - Fall-off-the-bone, smoky, saucy beef ribs with fries and cornbread. The cornbread came drizzled with honey, which honestly threw me off at first. I was like, this is either about to be really bad or really good, and it was definitely the latter. Almost cake-like, moist, and flavorful. I usually skip cornbread at BBQ spots, but this one hit. I can see how someone might feel the rib portion is a little light for the price, but not enough to stop me from ordering it again. * Mixed Mishkaki (Beef & Shrimp) - This might've been the standout. East African-style kebabs in a sweet and spicy marinade, served with rice and salad. The beef was insanely tender, I could've cut it with a cheap plastic fork. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, mixed with peppers and onions. It came out sizzling on a hot plate, fajita-style, which surprised us in the best way. Best bang for your buck for sure. This plate could feed two regular people... or one big back. I'm big back...lol * Cajun Chicken Tenders - I usually expect cajun to be dry-rubbed, but these were saucy, and still really good. Definitely coming back to try other flavors. Price-wise, meals range roughly from $9.99 to $24.99, and overall I thought the value was solid for what you get. Maybe some room for debate on the beef ribs, but everything else made up for it easily. Honestly, there wasn't anything on the menu I didn't want to try, and I don't even feel like I've found my go-to item yet, which is a good problem to have. As for the negative reviews I saw beforehand? I don't know. Maybe wrong day, wrong time, or they caught the place during a rough moment. Our experience was smooth, the food was fire, and the restaurant was well kept. Out of a few spots I've tried because of social media hype, this one was probably the most accurate to the hype. It made a big impression on both my wife and me. I live about 40 minutes away, and I'll definitely be back to dine-in or takeout, though I'd probably dine in so the food's hot. Great spot for a lunch date or grabbing takeout. If you've been on the fence like I was, go check it out.

I'd definitely recommend the classic honey garlic/soy garlic wings if you haven't had Korean fried chicken before. The galbi wings were disappointing. The sauce felt off, artificial almost? I could tell that they were going for a more Smokey flavor, though. It's a little pricy, with the small order of wings (8) being about $16-17 ish depending on what flavor you get. In other locations of this chain, they usually have some pickled radish banchan, but this location didn't. The service has gotten worse over time from what I've experienced. They've always had a bit of a longer wait time (20-35 mins), so I don't recommend ordering if you're super hungry and need food instantly. The workers have gotten a bit more rude; we had been waiting for our order for 45-50 mins at this point, and we asked if the order went through, because with the order taking that long, we weren't sure. I totally understand that the World Cup Final was playing on the big screen and they were a little busier than usual, but they gave my friend the most disgusted look when they asked how our order was doing. The worker retorted a sharp "can't you wait?" with an eye roll. I felt really bad at first for bothering them but it was also pretty rude of them to respond that way. It took about 10 more minutes to get our order. Not worth the almost hour long wait.

Upon entering, I thought it was an interesting setup because I assumed that this spot was a restaurant/(dive)bar. Turns out it is a restaurant in a liquor store...or maybe it's a liquor store in a restaurant. I'll admit that this misunderstanding was on me. Someone suggested the restaurant, and I did not do any follow-up research. Although the restaurant is connected to a liquor store, you cannot consume alcohol inside. But, I guess that was not a deal breaker because I was more interested in some good ol' BBQ. At the counter, I started to look over the menu because there were quite a lot of interesting items. They have a long list of various BBQ/meat items and a bunch of sides. For my dining pleasure, I went with the two meat (general BBQ and sausage), two sides combo (greens and mac n cheese), which was about 18 bucks. The price for the amount of food wasn't too bad. To be frank the food was not what I expected. Ok, the food was not horrible, but I think that I might have set my expectations too high. Normally, when I think of Texas BBQ, I think of meat that is slowly cooked so that it's very tender. The meat here seemed like it was cooked on a grill and mixed with BBQ sauce immediately prior to serving. To me, the meat was a bit tougher than what I have normally experienced in most BBQ restaurants. Perhaps, the restaurant was having a bit of an off day during our visit.

I originally wanted to check out another spot, but it wasn't convenient location wise. My friend suggested this one instead. He was the driver so I said it was fine without thinking much of it. Realized later this isn't actually the pit beef I read about and wanted, but it's a decent spot for a meat sando. All our meals came with a soup which was yummy. Kinda like chicken noodle / dumpling soup. That was actually my fav thing here. The pit beef was more like a roast beef sandwich which was fine. I actually enjoyed the brisket more. Whether in a sandwich or on its own, the meat is juicy and tender, and a perfect vessel for their in-house BBQ sauce. While I did like the textures of their other meats, some of Canopy's dishes could use some extra seasonings, especially their ribs. You can fix it yourself with some added salt and sauce, but it does feel like something is missing when you bite into them as they are. Tons of free parking. Accepts both cash and credit card…read more We decided to check out this food court and see if it's similar to the usual other food court. Definitely is family friendly, but see more younger kids going here which is fine. They have tons of food options from subs, fried chicken, ramen, bubble tea and Korean hot dogs. Much more options to list, but it's not too bad. We ordered their ramen, chicken teriyaki bowl and their pork belly buns. The ramen was a bit bland and the pork buns were not worth it as the pork was very thin and was the same pork size as the one that comes in the ramen. Their teriyaki bowl was the star dish as it was flavorful and tasty. We also ordered their soy garlic fried chicken. Although expensive, it was very tasty. Would I recommend this place, yes. But skip the pork belly buns and their ramen. I heard the subs are good here and may try other dishes here next time. The staff is friendly here. Tons of tables here if you decide to dine in.
