#22 Fried Spring Rolls
Scott M.

Pho Saigon Pho Saigon is one of those places that reminds you why simple food done right is unbeatable. From the moment you walk in, the staff is welcoming, attentive, and genuinely happy to have you there. Be aware they can get busy and you might have to wait for a table. The pho is outstanding--rich, deeply flavored broth that's clearly been simmered with care, perfectly cooked noodles, and generous portions of tender meat. Everything tastes fresh, balanced, and comforting without being heavy. The herbs and add-ins come out crisp and vibrant, letting you customize every bowl exactly how you like it. Portions are hearty, prices are fair, and service is quick without ever feeling rushed. Whether you're stopping in for a casual lunch or a cozy dinner, Pho Saigon consistently delivers quality and comfort in every bite. If you're anywhere near Catonsville and craving authentic, satisfying Vietnamese food, this place is an easy must-visit. I'll absolutely be back

I have tried countless Vietnamese restaurants over the years in many different cities, so far this is one the most authentic and best one. The soup base of pho is really savory and flavorful. I love how their broth is hot and not lukewarm like typical pho places. Spring rolls are freshly made there and cooked perfectly. Grilled pork, crispy pork and Banh mi are also dish you need to try. Service is always quick. You might find their quickness little rude but that's just how they are. It gets really busy so getting there at 11am for lunch is recommended.

Still my absolute favorite spot to get Pho! No other location has broth that tastes as good as this one! The prices are great for the portions, and the staff is quick with service. It's always pretty busy when we visit too!

If you're looking for great pho, look no further. I have been to Pho Saigon twice - once for takeout and once to dine in - and both times were quite delicious. Each time I have ordered #20 (Pho Tom with spicy broth) along with spring rolls. After my second visit, I wouldn't bother with the spring rolls again but the pho doesn't disappoint. The spicy broth is perfect for me and I don't fancy myself to have a high tolerance for spicy food. That said, one sip and my mother nearly gagged so proceed with caution if you're wary. The owner/manager (I assume) is friendly and efficient but some of the other staff a little less so. For example, when a young woman brought us the bill and carry out containers, she didn't utter a word and seemed annoyed. Other than that, you can expect your food to come out quickly and be worth the price. Go and enjoy.

This place always hits the spot!! My bf and I love coming here. They can get pretty busy around dinnertime but the tables clear up quickly so the wait isn't too bad. We usually both get pho and share the summer rolls (highly recommend!!). The food comes out quickly, but the last time we came I think they were busy and something happened with our order so we didn't get it for a long time, but once they realized, they apologized and even gave us each a Thai tea for the trouble which was so nice. FYI they do give a cash discount! Will definitely be back for my next pho craving!

I was really blown away by the quality of the pho at Pho Saigon during a recent stop in Catonsville for lunch. The place was busy but not too crowded. I was with a small group and we ordered a good variety of dishes including their pho with brisket and fatty flank steak, spring rolls, ban xeo, bun cha, vegetarian bun bo hue, and lemon grass chicken with fried rice. I tried the pho, spring rolls and ban xeo. The pho was incredibly flavorful and the meat was succulent and tender - I didn't even need to add hoisin or Sriracha. The spring rolls were filled with minced chicken instead of the pork and shrimp I'm used to but were nonetheless delicious and wrapped in the traditional rice paper. I wished the ban xeo was crispier and filled with less bean sprouts. I also wished they served green lettuce instead of iceberg with the ban xeo, but that's a relatively minor issue. Overall, the service was great, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. I can't wait to stop by again next time I'm In the area.

After tried countless Vietnamese restaurants over the years, so far this is one the most authentic one. They have an extensive menu which included Vietnamese cuisine from both the north and the south regions. The soup base of pho it's a very savory. Banh hoi is delicious. Summer rolls are fresh made. Portions are generous especially on the vegetables that come with the dishes. Looking forward to return and try more items on the menu. Service was wonderful , friendly, attentive, and very helpful. I wasn't sure how to properly eat the crispy pork banh hoi we ordered at first , so asked for a bit help , and the gentlemen patiently guide me through the process . It was such a wonderful experience . The color theme of the restaurant is very vibrant. Inside is very clean so are the tables and chairs. This restaurant is located in a large strip mall which offers ample parking . Convenient location, close to other shops and major supermarkets. Highly recommend by IG@WineDinenVacay

For suuuure my fav spot for viet food in Ellicott City! I always get the taro smoothie :) I've tried a variety of dishes and it's always great. If you are curious and want to try a new dish on the menu, go ahead, they never miss! The food comes out super fast and the staff are very nice.

CARRY OUT ONLY REVIEW! Came here for some pho. Ordered and paid online the Bun Bo Hue, a spicy beef and pork noodle soup with sliced Vietnamese ham, beef brisket, pig's knuckle (yes, you read that right), and a pork blood cube (you read that right too!) The order was ready by the time I arrived. Upon entering I gave my order info and pickup was a breeze (the staff were pleasant). When I arrived home and unpacked my order, they had it compartmentalized: broth in a reusable container; noodles and meat in a reusable bowl; the accompaniments: (shredded red and green cabbage, jalapeño slices, lime wedges, bean sprouts , and lemongrass along with small packets of hoisin sauce, hot sauce and hot pepper oil), in a plastic bag. I assembled my bowl minus the pork blood cube, I haven't advanced to that level of pho eating yet, and dug right in. The broth was tasty, but a bit greasy. The beef brisket was tender along with the ham, but the pork knuckle, which I was really excited about, was a bit tough. The noodles had bite, which I like. I added a bit of the hot pepper oil and let me warn you, go easy on that stuff! The little bit I added was just enough for me to "feel the fire", but still enjoy my pho. All in all, it was a decent bowl of pho, but I won't be rushing back here when there are SO many other pho places that are better.

Ask the Community - Pho Saigon

I called multiple times yesterday at 7pm and got no answer, so I went there to find that they are closed. Are they closed temporarily or do they have certain times opened?

They were apparently on a hiatus for a bit, but they're back open (except on Tuesdays) for dine in or takeout.

Is anyone sure if this place is still open? I have tried calling and no one ever picks up. And is the number on Yelp the correct number?

Since the location I typically grab my broth from crushed my heart when they told me they no longer sold broth when I tried to pick some up on my way home Friday, I had to find an alternative. Not being able to leave the house today, I was fortunate my mother wanted to bring me something to help me feel better. I instantly remembered Man Vs Pho and ran to Yelp first to look at recommendations as well as pictures. I then went to their website to check out the menu and was pleased to find they offered the broth by itself in a 32 oz container of either beef, chicken or vegetable and I quickly added it to my list. I was expecting my mother to call me when she got there but the next thing I knew, she was telling me to open the door. I love she didn't have a problem with ordering and she informed me that it was nice inside and she jokingly rubbed the Buddhas belly and head for good luck. She did say they didn't have any takeout menus at the counter to take with her since she was curious about the food and wanted to try some also. They also didn't put one in the bag either. The broth definitely did is job. I almost passed out after drinking about 75% of it. Steaming hot and burnt my tongue just as wonderful as I could have asked for. It was a little bit on the salty side so I did have to hydrate myself throughout and also why I couldn't finish all of it. The death of the flavor wasn't as intense as others I've tried but I would have to try their beef broth to actually compare it to others. They really came through in the clutch and I'm so glad for that. There's definitely on my list to try again so that I can see if I have a new Pho spot.

Man vs Pho, although tiny is size, packs a flavor punch in their dishes. They offer a variety of phos or if you'd rather create you own concoction you can do that as well. There are ban mi sandwiches at a great price for $7.99, appetizers, and even some cold coffee drinks with jelly pieces. With only two seats at a tiny counter-like table I figured the 30-minute drive back home was probably best to really enjoy my food. I ordered the Garlic Butter Chicken Pho, since I've never seen that as a pho option before, and the Chicken Spring Rolls. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed when I opened my bag to smell all of the deliciousness. Everything came packaged so nicely in their containers and the portion sizes were very generous. You're definitely able to get two portions of pho with the rice noodles they give you. The broth alone was so flavorful and comforting and the garlic butter chicken was a great choice for the protein. The chicken spring rolls are a must! Juicy, flavorful, and appetizing with a tasty little dipping sauce on the side. Needless to say, I'm literally thinking about my next trip to Man vs Pho as I write this review.

I haven't been feeling well for a couple days and all I wanted was broth. I went to work today and decided to grab some on my way home. I called in the order over the phone and was told it would only take 2 to 3 minutes. By the time I had arrived there it was, sitting on the bar. I walked in and headed towards the back like the sign suggested to do for food pickup. I was greeted by a gentleman and he quickly asked if I had the broth and I said yes. I paid and was out of there in less than 2 minutes. Now sitting in my car sipping my broth awaiting for my belly to feel better.
