Delightful dishes full of color, and flavor! We stopped in for a late lunch and it was busy. Staff is friendly and efficient. Our food came out quickly. We trod the Pad See are with shrimp and it was buttery, creamy and the perfect balance of flavor. I ate it all! We had the Pad Khing with pork which was perfection! We also tried the Matsaman Curry with shrimp and squid. Again the flavor was amazing and delicious. There is not much ambience but the restaurant is clean and simple. This place is definitely a repeat over and over because it is just really good authentic dishes.

I stopped by here a couple of Fridays ago with my wife for dinner. We were at Arundel Mills around dinner time when I searched Yelp for a place to eat, and Little Spice came up. I pulled up their website and placed an order through what ended up being Deemenu. I was given a 25-minute pickup time, and when I arrived around that time, our food was ready. Since I had ordered takeout, I didn't get to see much of the restaurant, but it looked fairly nice with plenty of seating. For my dinner that evening, I went with the eggplants with basil sauce and chose chicken as my protein, while my wife went with her usual pad Thai and also selected chicken. The menu described mine as sautéed eggplants, carrots, onions, bell peppers, basil leaves, and fresh Thai chili in authentic Thai basil sauce. My wife's dish was described as a famous Thai noodle dish, stir-fried with eggs, sweet radish, red onions, ground roasted peanuts, and bean sprouts in traditional sauce, sprinkled with scallions. My dinner was really good. The eggplant was tender, and the sauce had a strong basil flavor that I really enjoyed. I also liked adding my rice to the extra sauce, as it soaked up a lot of the flavor. As much as I enjoyed my meal, my wife was somewhat disappointed by the lack of flavor in hers. I took a couple of bites and had to agree with her assessment. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. While my wife's meal was disappointing, I thought mine was bursting with flavor and very enjoyable.

Little Spice is a great place to grab lunch or dinner. The prices are fair and the portions, decent. If you come for Lunch, they offer a free appetizer of one crispy spring roll. I like the wide rice noodles dishes and you can't go wrong with the pad thai. The curries are good, but I can't remember which one is better over the other (red vs green vs panang). Make sure to get the Thai Iced Tea with cream. It's not too sweet. The restaurant is located on a small strip with other restaurants and businesses. Plenty of parking. Even though there is usually one person serving and running the food, she does it well and in a timely manner. If you want someone to wait on you at all times, you will not get that here.

Nice setting, plenty of seating and neat decor. No complaints on the service. Food is cooked well but honestly nothing to write home about. Wish the tom yum soup portion was larger and more flavorful. Skillet beef stir fry was fine but too saucy/thick for my tastes. Good for a nearby craving but I'd rather go somewhere else for a more authentic flavor.

Solid Thai food with generous portions! Came here hungry with a couple of friends so we decided to order a couple dishes so we can taste a bit of everything (spoiler: we in fact did not finish everything and had delicious leftovers to bring home). We ordered the green papaya salad, little spice cashew nuts with chicken, pad Thai with tofu, yellow curry with chicken, and drunken noodles with tofu. All dishes were super good but my favorites were definitely the green papaya salad and the cashew nuts with chicken. The green papaya salad was crisp and fresh. It was good starter to start off with for our meal. The cashew nuts with chicken kind of tasted like a healthier sweet and sour chicken to me and the breading on the chicken was a good breading to chicken ratio. For dessert, we ordered the mango sticky rice which is a seasonal item. The mango was nice and sweet and the sweet sticky rice complimented it well. Always a classic dessert when at a Thai restaurant. Service was great too. Our server was really nice and knowledgeable. She did warn us beforehand that we may have ordered way too much but honestly it was nice to try a bit of everything and not worry about cooking another meal the next day. Ambiance is pretty standard, nothing that really stands out but it is clean. If you're in the area, definitely come try!

The ambience was very calm, clean and tables were well spaced from each other. The service was pleasant. My partner got the Chicken Pad Thai, the sauce and noodles were absolutely amazing, the chicken was a bit dry but the sauce helped with that. I got the Jungle Curry with shrimp, the broth style sauce was amazing the seasoning and herbs blended very well with the coconut milk. All the veggies in the dish were delicious too! For desert we got the Thai Custard with Sweet Sticky Rice, the custard was so smooth and the rice "syrup" was very tasty. We also got a scoop of Mango Ice Cream which was good too.

Came back for dinner, and got the happy calamari for our appetizer and a drunken noodle and a pad see ew. The calamari was great, thin batter and delicious with the sweet chili sauce that comes with it. The drunken noodle and pad see ew are great serving sizes at a good price, but I found it too salty. My husband loved it though, so might just be my taste buds. I'll stick to pad Thai or a curry next time!

Both times that I've been here, I have not been disappointed. The restaurant is clean and easy to find. The first time we just had to walk over from our hotel and the 2nd time we drove. My coworker who has a Thai wife stated that this was good Thai food; not as good as he can get from home but good. I ordered the same food both times. I had spring rolls and then chicken pad Thai. The spring rolls were great and for some reason didn't cause me any issues being gluten free. I might have just lucked out so be careful if you are gluten free and order them. The pad Thai portion is huge. I was not able to finish the dish either time. You are able to customize the level of spice in your main dish. You are able to taste the flavors beyond spice regardless of the level of spice. Our waitress kept our drinks full. She made sure to keep track of our orders and did not have a problem giving us separate checks. I highly recommend this Thai restaurant and I know that if I'm back in the area, I will definitely be back.

Really was just disappointed here - the food was kind of bland & you couldn't customize spice levels which was unfortunate. Also the service was meh - we were standing around for about 5 minutes before finally be noticed to get helped. I don't think I would come here again. It's a very underwhelming place.

TAKEOUT REVIEW: This was an OK Thai takeout experience. It was a high 3* experience, however, worthy of a 4*. This could have been a solid 4* experience considering the portions and the food presentation, however, the flavor was considerably lacking for Thai cuisine. This visit very well could have been a day when the cooks were not at their best, however, I do recognize that some South Asian restaurants in the DMV modify traditional recipes to accommodate the palates of locals who simply do not appreciate the region's intense flavor and spice. Most disappointing was the Seafood Combination Fried Rice which was surprisingly on the sweet side. The cook had to know they were being liberal with the sugar. It is not uncommon to use sugar in fried rice to balance the savory, however, there was an imbalance here which was disappointing because the rice was cooked perfectly and the portion was massive. The other food was simply bland, but again, cooked well from a presentation and texture perspective. I will visit again when in the area to give them another try to which I hope for a more authentic Thai experience. Give them a try.

Little Spice is a clean, cozy and friendly neighborhood Thai restaurant perfect for a quiet dinner or small groups. The waitstaff is friendly and professional. Water was topped off often and we were checked up on frequently. The food is excellent. Portions are very big and quality is high. The tofu pad Thai had hints of sweet, salty and sour without having any of the flavors too overpowering. My companions also liked their dishes (green curry and drunken noodles with pork). Prices are very reasonable, especially with the amount of food I've is getting.

I ordered the following items on Uber Eats: - Curry Puffs - Vegan Nuggets - Salt & Pepper Tofu - Black Pepper Ban Mein w/ Thick Noodles The portion sizes for the main dishes (Salt & Pepper Tofu and Ban Mein) were generous, about 2-3 servings and shareable. Which is pretty amazing considering the Ban Mein was $10 (on Uber Eats). I made sure to try a mix of dishes that both featured and didn't include meat substitutes...I was WOW'd by all of the food! As a meat eater, the vegan beef in the Ban Mein was very well seasoned and the flavor indiscernible from real meat. I was especially shocked by how much I enjoyed the vegan nuggets. They had a slightly nutty flavor (likely due to the oil) and a great texture. The salt & pepper tofu and curry puffs were standard, but good. Overall, the food at this restaurant runs a little spicier than usual American Chinese spots.
