E 13. Pad See-ew Noodle with chicken Mango Sticky Rice
Kristin G.

This is second time giving the food a try, I LOVE thai but I went a few years ago and the pad Thai was gross so I just continued to go for beverages like iced coffee, thai tea and mango sticky rice. The pad see ew was actually really good! My only complaint is they used regular broccoli and not Chinese broccoli and portion size was fairly small. The mango sticky rice is always good and consistent! People working here were friendly, greeting me when I went to pick up my order . It's a nice restaurant which is great for casual lunch or dinner.

My husband and I have ordered from Thai Heaven Restaurant on several occasions, most recently this past Saturday. There are not many Thai restaurants (that I know of) in the immediate area, so they are our go-to when we are in the mood for the cuisine. The food is always consistently and the prices are comparable to other Thai restaurants. The staff at Thai Heaven is friendly, when I place my order online, it is ready within the time frame provided. I have only enjoyed carry-out from here, but if you're looking to dine-in, there is seating inside. The venue is very quaint. Parking is not that great and Frederick road gets quite busy, but Thai Heaven is worth the trip.

Quite a small place. Wife placed the order for pickup at 5:15. Was not ready. There were 2 couples eating there. Also we're drivers for door dash and Uber eats waiting to pickup. So a lot of business is done through delivery. So we ended up waiting probably 20 more minutes because they were getting the delivery orders done. While waiting, i paid for the food and just stood there waiting. So after everyone else left, I stood there quietly waiting and then she inexplicably brought out the food, dropped it on the table and walked away. Well, that seemed a bit less than friendly. Granted there were only two people running this restaurant (so it seems to me) but it wasn't like they were too busy to be at least be courteous. When we got home to eat, I found the portions to be a bit on the small size. It tasted good, which makes it to 3 stars. But if the service was better, it would have been a good tasting experience for me.

They had a large group when we arrived so they were very busy tonight but it was well worth the wait. Their flavors are fabulous from the curry to the chef's special sauce to the Kaprow. Service is always with a smile and the Thai Iced Tea is refreshing and well-balanced. We started tonight with Thai iced tea and the fish cake appetizer. The fish cakes have their red curry sauce incorporated into the cakes and the dipping sauce was perfect. I couldn't keep my fork out of son's street style noodles and he kept mooching from my crispy chicken. Both dishes were delicious. We took home a red curry with chicken and mango sticky rice which we enjoyed later. We have not found any inkling of disappointment within the walls that hasn't been eliminated by the friendly service and quality of the food. Definite gem just a few miles from UMBC campus. See you again soon!

Food was so good and the staff were beyond sweet! Super kind and friendly and I loved chatting with them! The Thai tea is incredible and if you don't finish, they'll pour it into a to-go cup for you. Menu was great and well-priced; I would absolutely recommend this restaurant!! It's a little tucked away gem

Thai Heaven was okay. Came here for a girls night. Wanted real Thai food without having to drive all the way to the city. The place was empty lol. Maybe that should have been a sign? Typically it would have been but there were SO many to go orders. Carry out, door dash, grub hub etc. That plus it was a Monday night. Anyway, nice menu list. I don't believe they serve alcoholic beverages. I didn't see a bar nor cocktail menu. I didn't bother asking. My friend got some type of fried rice. It had raisins in it. Karen, is that you back there cooking the meals? Lol my friend didn't mind the raisins. I didn't know that was a thing. I unfortunately ordered the drunken noodles which were supposed to be spicy. Spicy they were not. I pretended to like my food but overall I was underwhelmed lol. I also got some crab Rangoon which was nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice place but just not for me. Sad face.

Good food, modest decor, quick service at this established Catonsville spot in a sleepy strip mall at the corner of Paradise and Frederick roads. My coworker knew and liked this place, so we went for a quick lunch break from work. We both got the cheaper Drunken Noodle lunch special--hers gluten- and soy-free with shrimp; mine regular with medium spicy chicken. Tasty!

I've been here a million times so I don't know how I haven't written a review yet! Parking isn't great for the Fells Point location, there is some street parking nearby, but most of it is paid. It can be a task to find a parking spot that isn't too far away. Be prepared to walk a block or two! Their service is very friendly, and you are able to place orders in person or online through their website. If you are in a rush, I would definitely recommend placing an online order and picking it up. Since everything is made to order, it can take 10-20 mins if you're placing an order in person. Their storefront is pretty small as well, not much seating if you're looking to eat there. Also, if it is around lunch or dinner time, it can get pretty packed and loud in there. Definitely more of a takeout spot. You genuinely can't go wrong with anything on the menu, however, my favorites are the Neighborhood bird bowl, the tofu nuggets, crab rangoon egg roll, and the ramen broccoli. Prices are a bit hefty, but portions are sizeable and typically shareable. I'll be back again and again!

We ordered the Neighborhood Bird, Fried Shrimp, and Fried Broccoli, and everything was absolutely amazing, as usual! The Neighborhood Bird was delicious--the bun was perfectly steamed and fluffy, while the chicken was so well seasoned, crispy on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside. The fried shrimp were huge (seriously, about four bites each!), with a light, crispy batter and fresh herbs on top. And the fried broccoli is always a favorite of mine. It's incredibly flavorful and perfectly crispy. A special shoutout to Jesus, the manager, who was incredibly sweet and made my mom's birthday lunch even more special by treating us to peach yuzu juice. It was so refreshing and paired perfectly with our meal. We really appreciated the thoughtful gesture and wonderful hospitality. We had such a great lunch and a memorable birthday celebration. Another go-to, the tempura broccoli, was fried in a very-light crispy batter, and flavored with a light house-made vinegar sauce. Our go-to spicy tofu BRAH "bowl" lit us up with soft-centered baked tofu cubes in a medium-spicy sauce with the flavors of fresh herbs, garlic, and shallots, over a bed of tender long-grain white jasmine rice and with a pretty mango/papaya shredded-carrot slaw. The long rippled-noodles were tender, smothered in a spicy savory brown sauce that also pushed the envelope of my admittedly somewhat wimpy heat tolerance :-j We got the huge lightly-battered crispy flavorful shrimp, over white rice, garnished with sliced pickled red onions and pickled cucumber circles over tender fluffy jasmine rice. We are always happy with the staff at this Ekiben location, with hot flavorful generous on-time take-out. (Aug 2026).

Particularly Shelby - our server for the evening. She is kind, funny, playful, knowledgeable, quirky, attentive, and conscientious. What this translates to is Shelby elevated our dining experience, and we are thankful to have crossed her path. I rarely compliment or review the front of the house. Restaurateurs - When your servers think a bouillabaisse is a cream soup, it's your fault - do better. So back to Shelby. Saltwater has became our favorite. We've been coming here for months, and they've never disappointed us. There is a wide menu selection. Portions are generous. Everything is always so fresh. I can tell they only use high-quality ingredients. We are really impressed with the quality. The presentation of some dishes is spectacular! There are three dinning rooms with plenty of seating. But service is fast, even on a busy night. One night we and our friends couldn't get comfortable, so the manager, Jonathan, personally handled our seating changing our tables 3 times to ensure we have a good dinning experience. That kind of courtesy stood out to us. So this place ticks all the boxes: great food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and fair prices. It's rare to find a restaurant that excels in every area. Carryout can also be a little slow at times since the hostesses are usually busy running around, so even when the food is ready there can still be a wait.

I ordered the fried chicken, which came with fries. The person helping is said in response that the menu says it comes with fries. It does not for say that for that particular menu item. I have a potato allergy, so I obviously could not eat the fries. My husband had no problem with them, so we took them and I simply ordered something else. I also ordered dumplings, but later realized I could not eat those either because they were fried in the same oil. We did not make a big deal about any of this or give our waitress a hard time. We simply moved on and ordered other food. Unfortunately, the bigger issue was the quality of the food we actually received. The steamed egg was burnt. They brought out a replacement, but that one tasted burnt as well, so I asked for it to be removed from the check. My husband felt that the meat in the dumplings tasted old, and the rice had a sour taste to it. My beef bulgogi had very little beef and an overwhelming amount of onions and filler. We still paid our bill and left a proper, generous tip. Before leaving, I spoke with the person at the register (who was also our waitress) and politely mentioned that something seemed off with the food. I even suggested that they might want to speak with someone in the kitchen about it. What really upset me was the response I received. Instead of acknowledging the concerns about the food, the waitress became defensive and said, "Maybe next time you should tell someone about your allergy." That comment was completely unnecessary. If there had been a problem involving my allergy, I would have addressed it directly. We didn't complain about the chicken or fries--we simply didn't eat what I couldn't have and ordered something else. Our concern was the quality and taste of the food we did order. We were polite. We were kind. We paid our bill. We left a generous tip. We weren't looking for anything for free or trying to cause a scene. We simply wanted to let the restaurant know that the food did not seem right. Unfortunately, we walked away feeling dismissed rather than heard. I've eaten here before and wanted to like this visit, but this time it was disappointing from both the food and service perspectives. We will not encourage others to go there either. I came in as a hungry Korean and left as a hungry Korean. Hopefully the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because I would hate for a place I've enjoyed before to continue going in this direction.

In other words, plan on 20 minutes if you don't order ahead and take advantage of the picnic tables available to other diners. I chose the chive dumplings as an appetizer. The garlic-flavored squares were savory with a custard-like consistency--not as heavy as a stuffed dumpling. I ate a couple of them before the main dish, letting most of the squares soak in the sweet soy sauce. I then finished them on the drive home. I regretted that decision, as they would have made a perfect next morning snack. My main dish was eggplant with chicken. After I ordered, the woman in the truck was thoughtful enough to suggest "medium" heat. I could have handled hot, I'm guessing, but medium is a reasonable starting point for most non-Thai customers. The vegetables in the eggplant dish were near perfect. I was at a favorite 5-star restaurant 2 weeks ago where half-cooked carrots dominated the dish. Grace's takes the time to properly cook all the vegetables. The eggplant did not dominate the dish, but complemented the chicken in texture and taste. The dish arrived with a large container of rice to soak up the brown sauce. You might guess I'd order the same dish again, but I'd be tempted to try one of Grace's other 12-plus dishes. The person in the truck responds by saying oh I am sorry we close at 7 pm. I look at my watch and I am the only person in line. I wished someone inside the food truck would have told me that important piece of information. I would not have spent my time looking at the menu and I would have just driven back home after my hair appointment. So I said okay. I wasn't upset, just annoyed, frustrated, and disappointed and called my significant other back to let him know we aren't having Thai for dinner. I was looking forward to having pad thai and to trying the food since Nomstastic raved on Instagram about their food was the best I stopped by the hair salon again to let my hair stylist know their hours.
