    Vegetable Spring Rolls

GRACE'S THAI KITCHEN Important Details: entrees are roughly 14$ across the board (beef or shrimp more); restaurant is a food truck - but plenty of seating; they close at 2pm then reopen at 330pm GOOD: Nearly everything - friendly service, authentic taste, good portions, attractive for a truck, and seating is plentiful BAD: Not terrible, but was expecting slightly better prices from a truck and the lunch hour (dinner and lunch prices are the same) Grace's Thai Kitchen is a new player and wonderful addition to the Baltimore suburbs (Catonsville). It's nestled in the back of a parking lot - welcoming, fun presentation and seating to eat on the spot. The proprietors were very friendly. I ordered a small spread to try a few things - panang curry, drunken noodle, spring rolls and a Thai ice coffee. Everything was delicious - coffee was properly sweet, spring rolls crispy with little grease, we'll cooked noodles, and the curry sauce was savory. I would recommend (unless super sensitive tongue) go with spicy. I requested medium and added some cayenne later. Drink the coffee fast - the ice waters it quickly. They have good hours (until 8pm) and you can order ahead via their website to avoid any wait. I only waited 10 minutes. I heartedly recommend this new addition to Catonsville.

Excellent Pad See Ew from this Thai Food Truck. Very pleased (and surprised) to have this in Catonsville. Will be back soon!

    Beef Pad Thai

Grace's Thai Kitchen is a food truck that promises a burst of authentic Thai Flavors. We had a great experience with their curries last time and we came back to try the other part of their menu. We tried their new Basil Eggplant dish, Beef Pad Thai, and Tom Kha Gai which is a Thai coconut chicken soup. The amounts were more than enough to split for two meals, all flavorful with a little kick. Will definitely be back.

The chicken was small chunks of tender juicy chicken. The peanut sauce was flavorful and just a little chunky. The menu says it's made with fish sauce, but it was not a fishy flavor, more a savory "umami" flavor. The bright scallions and subtle scrambled eggs were mixed into the sauce. The fresh crunchy bean sprouts were on the side. You could get it with tofu or shrimp. Their "Catfish Three Flavors" are battered deep-fried chunks of sweet fresh catfish. They stir-fried them in a small amount of medium spicy sweet-and-sour with light levels of garlic and chili. There was a light sprinkling of scallion and cilantro. The flavoring was light, and quite tasty. You can get it spicier. This place is easy to get to, just look closely at the map because this is not the main grocery-store building in the Lotte Plaza strip-mall on US-40 Baltimore National Pike at Ridge Road. You can also enter from an exit on US-29. Thai Aroma is across the lot from the grocery, in a smaller long building with a tire company. There's plenty of parking right out front.

Very elegant presentation for everything. The menus, the decor, the venue and high ceilings, the private rooms. Their menu had half to full page detailed photos and descriptions of almost every dish. And they had a large menu to accommodate to whatever you are craving. Their food was so good. Everything was seasoned just right to my liking. The spice levels for the sichuan pepper-centric dishes were the star but never overpowering or too spicy. And surprisingly, the pricing for each of the dishes were so low compared to the experience I was getting. Like I kept thinking how can this product be this good but this cheap? My aunt had ordered for us so I wasn't sure what she had ordered but everything was delicious. I finally met the owner, although I did not get her name. Our waiter was good and the food came quick since we were all hungry. Since it was my aunt's birthday, the owner gave her a gift which was so nice! My aunt enjoyed the tea cups and will put it to good use. I really love the jasmine tea and probably had a whole pot to myself. It was a cold day so hot tea was nice to start before we ate. I have been to Tea Horse many times and the food does not disappoint. I like the bar area and noticed the liquor selection was high end. I normally don't drink when I eat Chinese food but in case you want top shelf liquor, they have it.

Since the location I typically grab my broth from crushed my heart when they told me they no longer sold broth when I tried to pick some up on my way home Friday, I had to find an alternative. Not being able to leave the house today, I was fortunate my mother wanted to bring me something to help me feel better. I instantly remembered Man Vs Pho and ran to Yelp first to look at recommendations as well as pictures. I then went to their website to check out the menu and was pleased to find they offered the broth by itself in a 32 oz container of either beef, chicken or vegetable and I quickly added it to my list. I was expecting my mother to call me when she got there but the next thing I knew, she was telling me to open the door. I love she didn't have a problem with ordering and she informed me that it was nice inside and she jokingly rubbed the Buddhas belly and head for good luck. She did say they didn't have any takeout menus at the counter to take with her since she was curious about the food and wanted to try some also. They also didn't put one in the bag either. The broth definitely did is job. I almost passed out after drinking about 75% of it. Steaming hot and burnt my tongue just as wonderful as I could have asked for. It was a little bit on the salty side so I did have to hydrate myself throughout and also why I couldn't finish all of it. The death of the flavor wasn't as intense as others I've tried but I would have to try their beef broth to actually compare it to others. They really came through in the clutch and I'm so glad for that. There's definitely on my list to try again so that I can see if I have a new Pho spot.

I had originally made the nice lady very nervous with my request and she tried to convince me to try the dish that was advertised with the glass noodles, but i assured her that it would be fine as i normally eat noodles without soup. One of the highlights is the handmade noodles, which you can customize in thickness, from delicate angel hair to something as hearty as fettuccine. The menu has plenty of variety beyond soups, including dumplings, spring rolls, stir-fried noodles, and oil-tossed noodle dishes. I also tried the braised intestines on the side; while they were well-prepared, the texture wasn't quite for me--I'd probably enjoy them more if they were fried. Ordering is convenient, whether you prefer doing it in person, through the app, or at the kiosk. The space has a good number of tables for dining in, and there's even a piano if you know how to play. Overall, it's been a consistently enjoyable spot for lunch.

We tried to go at 9 and 10 on weekends but they were closed. This weekend we got there at 11 on Sunday and they seemed to be just opening. I've been stoked to try this place because I love Burmese food, but it didn't hit for us. Our donuts were soggy. They tasted underdone. The green curry was watery, but spicy. It was a big portion, but almost no chicken. I was most excited for the tea leaf salad, but I think there must have been something that got lost in translation because what we got was most definitely not a tea leaf salad. I was so sad when I opened the take out in the car. It was also slow. We ordered, grocery shopped, and when we came back it still wasn't ready yet.

If there was a 3.5 star option, I feel like that would be the most accurate representation here. The place itself is located on the wall of the Lotte in Catonsville and it looks like a small family-run establishment. Service was kind, but admittedly a bit of a language barrier which may have affected some of the ordering process. In total, we ordered the tea leaf salad, a curry dish, seafood noodles, and the asian doughnuts. While I was hoping for fresh, vibrant dishes, my expectations fell a bit short where some of the proteins felt a bit tough and other ingredients felt a bit soggy. The flavor profile was good (one of those places where spicy means spicy), but it did lean a bit on the seafoody/fishy side. I still think it warrants checking out because it's not often that there's Burmese cuisine available.
