My in-laws are regulars here, so my review does not reflect what they think because they love this place. There are limited kosher restaurant options (especially for Asian cuisine), so the fact that they have a place they love and can enjoy together is great. Objectively for anyone else who is NOT kosher - I do not recommend this place at all. Prices are astronomical for Thai and Chinese food - I've never heard of a $25 General Tsos Chicken (every other Chinese entree is $25). The thai entrees are $18-29 each...$23 for a pad thai is ridiculous. Even their appetizers for hot wings is like $16...or $18 for 8 steamed dumplings. If the food was exquisite, that could maybe excuse the price but it wasn't. I got the drunken noodles and it was not authentic at all. Did not use the flat wide rice noodles, not spicy at all, and just the sauce was wrong. The pad thai tasted acceptable. The only good food I have had there was their sushi rolls. I got a Ben's roll which was actually really delicious, but steeply priced at $18. I suppose there has to be a bit of an up-charge to maintain everything kosher, but still, these prices for the food quality was not it. Ambiance - nice lighting inside, but quiet. Service was okay the 3 times I've been, but slow at times. My father-in-law got his soup comped for his birthday I believe, so that was nice at least. read more

We were pretty shocked by the prices of the meals. We ended up getting sushi instead as those prices seems a bit more reasonable. What we got: Black pepper tuna maki - why'd you give it four stars 3.5* decent. Sweet potato roll - 3.5* I liked this more than the tuna but not enough to give it 4 stars. After a day in the Baltimore area with my fiancé and best friend on Veteran's Day we concluded by stopping here for kosher Asian food and to go shopping at 7 Mile Market. I remember several years ago my parents and I went to their predecessor restaurant which was called Unami. We came in and the staff was very friendly and service was great and attentive throughout the meal. This contrasts with service often from kosher restaurants being subpar due to lack of competition. One thing the staff makes you aware of is many find spicy to be too spicy for them which is not surprising for the mostly Ashkenazi (Central and Eastern European) Jewish customer base, but the spice levels are similar or even lower than most Asian restaurants. We started with soups which were the Thai Chicken Noodle, Subgum Wonton, and Wonton all which were very delicious.Then we shared two sushi rolls, the Godzilla Roll and Rainbow Roll. The sushi was some of the best we've had and the portions were very generous. My fiancé and I shared both the Drunken Noodles and Orange Chicken which we loved and had some to take home for lunch. Our friend ordered the Pad Thai. We were all very impressed and would love to take family and friends sometime. I look forward to coming back sometime we are back in the area. This review is specifically for their online ordering and pick up as I did not dine in! I was in the mood for Thai cuisine when I was in the area and found this place on Yelp with good reviews. I ordered the Thai Lunch Special online which included my choice of a Thai entree, a side, and rice. Naturally I went for the pad Thai with a spring roll and white rice. The meal itself was $12 which is a bargain. It took about 20 minutes for my food to be ready for pick up. Finding the restaurant was a little difficult as it is in a strip mall that can be accessed by two opposing parking lots. But I found the place nonetheless! The pick up process was really easy. I just walked in and the host asked for my name and gave me my bag of food. The food itself was decent. Defiantly good portions for the money I spent but I honestly was not "wowed" by the taste. The spring roll was tasty and classic. The rice was extremely oily because it was next to the pad Thai. The bottom of the rice was literally soaked in orange grease. Not very appealing. The pad Thai hit the flavor profile I was looking for, however it was basically all rice noodle and a few pieces of chicken. I'm used to pad Thai coming with a lot of bamboo chutes and chives. I found very little of these ingredients in this dish. Overall I enjoyed the food because I got a lot of it for a good price. Randomly in this area and wanted to get thai so we decided to try this restaurant. This was a great find from start to finish and would definitely go back again if in the area. We had a party of 4 for lunch and decided to all get lunch specials but different ones so we could try different things. We tried the sesame chicken, drunken noodles, sweet and sour chicken and lo mein noodles. All lunch specials came with an egg roll or soup and white rice. We tried the egg drop soup, beef eggroll and another soup and all were great. Our entrees were good portions especially for lunch and our favorite was the sweet and sour chicken. Our waitress was helpful and got anything we needed. One thing to note is that they add an 18% gratuity to the check before you even pay. We weren't able to be seated because the restaurant was closing in 30 minutes and we didn't realize it so we ordered takeout instead. First off- what kind of Thai place doesn't have Thai iced tea? Second- the food was so bland. I got the pad Thai and it had no flavor. I cut up some of my own limes at home to use in hopes of creating some kind of flavor. It didn't work. It was so dry that I opted to toss it and cook something else. We also ordered the drunken noodles. It is kosher and they have Thai as well as sushi n Chinese. I ordered drunken noodles with chicken and Thai chicken noodle soup, (I asked for extra spicy and basil for dn) . The soup was outstanding, extremely tasty and the bonus was it came with bamboo shoots which I love. The noodles were cooked just right which I appreciate!! Drunken noodles were bussin bussin, with extra basil and the spice level was on point. Usually when I ask for extra hot n spicy, it rarely is ( most places). We were the first to arrive, and seated in the back next to a window. It was a cool and windy night, and we were chilled while waiting to the others to arrive. I mentioned the indoor temperature to our server, while ordering a glass of hot green tea, and she said she would see what she could do. When the other 2 couples arrived, fortified with my green tea, it did feel warmer. The other 4 ordered drinks and seemed pleased with their alcohol, and we all ordered dinner. One couple split a large portion of curry, my wife and I split pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles. I also ordered a very good beef wonton. The other couple split an appetizer of fried wontons, she ordered Pad Thai, and he ordered lettuce wraps. So, how good was the food? Despite nice portion sizes, all of the food was completely consumed. compliments on the taste, and we made another reservation for this Wednesday to introduce other friends to Taam Thai. Rip off. For a sit down it was $65 for 2 dishes + 20% gratuity added to the bill for the short face-ring girl is sitting on her phone. It was a classy place but not really worth it, food is pretty basic. Go to David Chu's everything there is good, classy, authentic, and affordable. Have you ever walked into a restaurant that was only 15-20% Full?...like only 5 couples out of the 100 plus seats and they immediately seat you in the back near the bathroom at a cramped table. My fiancé and I were in the plaza to go shopping and figured we'd stop for lunch somewhere nearby. We poked our heads into Taam Thai to see if it would be a good spot and decided to get a table. It was quiet; just one other group eating lunch around 1pm on a Sunday. We were kindly seated and our waitress came to check on us immediately. We both ordered a lunch special (entree, egg roll/soup and rice). My fiancé got the Pad Thai and I got the General Gao's. We both got a veggie egg roll on the side. Food was PHENOMENAL. When visiting Baltimore my children, grandchildren and I visited this restaurant and we were favorably impressed. They had a small bar with limited selections and a large selection of Thai and Chinese offerings. Food was freshly prepared and quite tasty, they offer indoor and outdoor dining the ambiance is inviting and prices seemed reasonable. I would recommend giving Taam Thai a try. read more

Just tried their food for the first time. This is a welcome addition to the local kosher constellation of restaurants. The food is good, the staff is friendly, and in good weather there is a nice outdoor seating area. There are two aspects of this restaurant, though, that diners should be aware of in advance. First, you will be asked to select white or fried rice, and told (if you ask) that the meals come with rice, only to discover that you have been charged an additional amount for rice. And, second, you will be automatically charged an 18% gratuity on non-carry out orders without being informed of this in advance, and then presented with a bill that includes space for a tip and suggested tipping amounts, implying to those who fail to look carefully that the total listed on the bill did not already include a tip.
