    Orange Chicken

After a day in the Baltimore area with my fiancé and best friend on Veteran's Day we concluded by stopping here for kosher Asian food and to go shopping at 7 Mile Market. I remember several years ago my parents and I went to their predecessor restaurant which was called Unami. We came in and the staff was very friendly and service was great and attentive throughout the meal. This contrasts with service often from kosher restaurants being subpar due to lack of competition. One thing the staff makes you aware of is many find spicy to be too spicy for them which is not surprising for the mostly Ashkenazi (Central and Eastern European) Jewish customer base, but the spice levels are similar or even lower than most Asian restaurants. We started with soups which were the Thai Chicken Noodle, Subgum Wonton, and Wonton all which were very delicious. Then we shared two sushi rolls, the Godzilla Roll and Rainbow Roll. The sushi was some of the best we've had and the portions were very generous. My fiancé and I shared both the Drunken Noodles and Orange Chicken which we loved and had some to take home for lunch. Our friend ordered the Pad Thai. We were all very impressed and would love to take family and friends sometime. I look forward to coming back sometime we are back in the area. I only wish DC or Montgomery County had a place like this.

Ran into this place as I was driving by decided to check it out. Food actually is really good. This was a lunch special for $18. Which is a lot of food. Edamame was an extra six dollars, which is not bad.

This review is specifically for their online ordering and pick up as I did not dine in! I was in the mood for Thai cuisine when I was in the area and found this place on Yelp with good reviews. I ordered the Thai Lunch Special online which included my choice of a Thai entree, a side, and rice. Naturally I went for the pad Thai with a spring roll and white rice. The meal itself was $12 which is a bargain. It took about 20 minutes for my food to be ready for pick up. Finding the restaurant was a little difficult as it is in a strip mall that can be accessed by two opposing parking lots. But I found the place nonetheless! The pick up process was really easy. I just walked in and the host asked for my name and gave me my bag of food. The food itself was decent. Defiantly good portions for the money I spent but I honestly was not "wowed" by the taste. The spring roll was tasty and classic. The rice was extremely oily because it was next to the pad Thai. The bottom of the rice was literally soaked in orange grease. Not very appealing. The pad Thai hit the flavor profile I was looking for, however it was basically all rice noodle and a few pieces of chicken. I'm used to pad Thai coming with a lot of bamboo chutes and chives. I found very little of these ingredients in this dish. Overall I enjoyed the food because I got a lot of it for a good price. I would come back here again to try out their other dishes and dine in for the service experience. And that's the truth

Randomly in this area and wanted to get thai so we decided to try this restaurant. This was a great find from start to finish and would definitely go back again if in the area. We had a party of 4 for lunch and decided to all get lunch specials but different ones so we could try different things. We tried the sesame chicken, drunken noodles, sweet and sour chicken and lo mein noodles. All lunch specials came with an egg roll or soup and white rice. We tried the egg drop soup, beef eggroll and another soup and all were great. Our entrees were good portions especially for lunch and our favorite was the sweet and sour chicken. Our waitress was helpful and got anything we needed. One thing to note is that they add an 18% gratuity to the check before you even pay. Overall our meal was great and we would definitely go again!Small restaurant but it seemed like they did a lot of take out.

Basel fried rice with a few sprigs of Basel... underwhelming!!

Who ever heard of kosher Thai. I hadn't. Had a terrific lunch with my son-in-law there. Food was delicious and service grand. I'll be back.

We ordered 3 appetizers, shrimp cakes, spring rolls and happy Tofu. The shrimp cakes were delish, kind of like shrimp toast without the toast. I would get them again! The spring rolls were good. And my friend who had the tofu said it was good. There were plenty of vegetarian options which was great because one of us is a vegetarian. For my meal I ordered FLAT NOODLES WITH LIGHT SOY SAUCE (PAD SEE EW) Flat rice noodles sautéed with eggs, broccoli, carrots in light soy sauce and added shrimp. It was delicious and I have enough for dinner tonight too. (Love leftovers) I also ordered hot jasmine tea. They didn't have the mango sticky rice for dessert but they did have Thai Custard with Sweet Sticky Rice which was good but I prefer the Mango sticky rice. Would definitely go back.

The food was good! They had great portion sizes and had good overall flavor! Got the chicken satay and it was cooked perfectly and had good flavor! The chicken was tender and not dry at all, I was impressed, usually it can be a little dry and lack that flavor but it was a solid choice for an appetizer! Four good size sticks of chicken with some dipping sauces! 4.5/5 I got thier basil fried rice with beef and pork. Wow the portion size was impressive with a good amount of meat! They didn't skimp on the protein! The flavor was good, but if I'm honest I wish it had more of a kick to it. It had two symbols but had no spice at all, kinda disappointed in that tbh. But decent flavor besides that, the meat, was tender enough to enjoy and wasn't too bad. Overall I'd say a solid 3.5/5 could've had more flavor and a little more tenderness of the meat but still solid choice! Sorry no pictures this time around

I got the main dish I wanted, but I wanted other things that were sold out and it made no sense. I haven't seen that anywhere else. Probably 50% of the menu was sold out including my mango with sticky rice dessert. That should be a staple! Anyway I got the Crystal Thai Seafood and it was really good and flavorful and not spicy as requested. Lots of shrimp, calamari, mussels and a few scallops. It was good but again pretty small for the price. I might try again in the future but only if the majority of the items aren't sold out. That, frankly is the reason for the lower rating.

It was on a weekday evening and it was not too crowded so I was easy to find a parking space in the shared lot. It was located in a Strip mall type of center. It is very small inside but cozy. A very nice hostess/waitress seated us and took our drink orders. They do not have a liquor license so only nonalcoholic beverages. Looks like all of their sodas are in cans so they do run out. My daughter wanted a Sprite, but Since they did not have any, she had to settle for a ginger ale. I ordered a lemonade. For my daughter's meal she ordered the scallop fried rice. She also ordered some of these shrimp spring rolls. They were delicious light and crispy. I like the fact that they did not have a lot of oil on them. Overall, it was not a bad option for Thai food in the area. My daughter enjoyed it, but still prefers the other place more. The service was good, although it was a little bit slow. It looks like they don't have a lot of employees working since our hostess was also our waitress. I may or may not come back again.

We entered shortly after 4 PM, which is when they open. There was no one downstairs when we entered, so we walked upstairs. When we walked upstairs, we asked the man at the bar if we could be seated because there was no one downstairs. He looked a bit flustered at first, but still ended up seating us in the same spot. I sat before near the window, which is exactly what I wanted. He immediately brought us ice, water and menus. He pointed to the specials on the menu, and gave us some time to look. We were the only people in the restaurant. Within a few minutes, he came and took our orders. Then, we waited.... For like 25 or so minutes... for the appetizer. And honestly, when they brought the duck rolls out, I was super disappointed. These were not the duck rolls I remember. These were tiny, underfilled, mostly full of the wrapper themselves, and lacking flavor. Additionally, when I placed my initial order, I asked for all of the condiments/sauces to be brought out. I asked the server again when the rolls came out, and he didn't bring them out until I asked a third time when the entrées came out. When the entrées did come out (ga tiem and crab fried rice), they left a lot to be desired. Ga tiem: bland. And to make it so bad, the vegetables served with it, were not cooked in the sauce as they normally are. They were served on the side and we're not cooked all the way. I can't really eat broccoli, so I swapped it for green beans, but I could pretty much snap the green beans in half because they were still so undercooked. Crabmeat fried rice: the fact that they cut up like three full scallion stems, barely cooked them, and tucked them under/at the base of the rice is crazy. They weren't even cooked long enough to release flavor. Also, to be in Baltimore, the amount of crab was a little embarrassing. Definitely should have been more. Overall, the rice wasn't very flavorful. Thai tea: good! Not too sweet, not too milky. You want to know what really made me mad? I asked for soy sauce, and they brought those super cheap packages that just look like black water that the cheap Chinese restaurants provide you when you get carry out. Those packets literally taste like nothing. I have been to very few Asian restaurants in my life that provide that type of soy sauce, especially when you dine in. It doesn't taste like soy sauce at all. I was incredibly disappointed. And considering the fact that I had to ask for these sauces three times, I was even more disappointed. We spent about $62 on the items above. Would I say I got my moneys worth? No would I say that I enjoyed this visit as much as I enjoyed the last? Absolutely not.
