Stopped in right before closing and they were so nice to let us order and eat there. We got pad Thai and enjoyed it as well as the spring rolls. They didn't taste frozen and were so fresh! I'll be back
Came here after a day at the Maryland science center. It's a short walk away, so I was super excited to visit a place I previously enjoyed. We entered shortly after 4 PM, which is when they open. There was no one downstairs when we entered, so we walked upstairs. When we walked upstairs, we asked the man at the bar if we could be seated because there was no one downstairs. He looked a bit flustered at first, but still ended up seating us in the same spot. I sat before near the window, which is exactly what I wanted. He immediately brought us ice, water and menus. He pointed to the specials on the menu, and gave us some time to look. We were the only people in the restaurant. Within a few minutes, he came and took our orders. Then, we waited.... For like 25 or so minutes... for the appetizer. And honestly, when they brought the duck rolls out, I was super disappointed. These were not the duck rolls I remember. These were tiny, underfilled, mostly full of the wrapper themselves, and lacking flavor. Additionally, when I placed my initial order, I asked for all of the condiments/sauces to be brought out. I asked the server again when the rolls came out, and he didn't bring them out until I asked a third time when the entrées came out. When the entrées did come out (ga tiem and crab fried rice), they left a lot to be desired. Ga tiem: bland. And to make it so bad, the vegetables served with it, were not cooked in the sauce as they normally are. They were served on the side and we're not cooked all the way. I can't really eat broccoli, so I swapped it for green beans, but I could pretty much snap the green beans in half because they were still so undercooked. Crabmeat fried rice: the fact that they cut up like three full scallion stems, barely cooked them, and tucked them under/at the base of the rice is crazy. They weren't even cooked long enough to release flavor. Also, to be in Baltimore, the amount of crab was a little embarrassing. Definitely should have been more. Overall, the rice wasn't very flavorful. Thai tea: good! Not too sweet, not too milky. You want to know what really made me mad? I asked for soy sauce, and they brought those super cheap packages that just look like black water that the cheap Chinese restaurants provide you when you get carry out. Those packets literally taste like nothing. I have been to very few Asian restaurants in my life that provide that type of soy sauce, especially when you dine in. It doesn't taste like soy sauce at all. I was incredibly disappointed. And considering the fact that I had to ask for these sauces three times, I was even more disappointed. We spent about $62 on the items above. Would I say I got my moneys worth? No would I say that I enjoyed this visit as much as I enjoyed the last? Absolutely not.
This restaurant had a very authentic Thai theme, the decorations brought back memories, the food was amazing, very clean restaurant, amazing service, staff was so friendly smiles that would brighten a cloudy day, my kid loved the fried chicken. I love the spicy beef and the wife enjoyed the pad Thai. You cannot go wrong with this place, definitely coming back again.
Looking at this restaurant online, I thought the food could go either way. Based on the decor, I thought maybe it would be a real hidden gem. In February, their decorated Christmas tree was still lit on the second floor, which my eight-year-old daughter thought was funny. However, the food was average. The green curry with chicken didn't come with a lot off food. The chicken itself was a little rubber-y and nothing tasted fresh. My daughter's pumpkin dish was meh. The service was good, though.
I really really want to love the food here but I don't think I can give it 5 stars. The ambiance is so good. It's very cute, very intimate and the Christmas decorations were still up which was a vibe. Our server was so nice and friendly and timely. We sat by the window on the second floor and it was such a nice, cozy spot. We ordered the garden roll, pad Thai with chicken and green curry with tofu and veggies as well as a hot tea. The tea was perfect on a cold January night but the perfection kind of stops there. The garden roll was just a wrapped up salad. The peanut sauce was tasty but so sweet. I think there was one sliver of tofu in the whole roll. It was my fault for not reading the description but I expected noodles and less GREENS. The pad Thai was pretty standard but also very sweet. The green curry was nice and spicy but again, so so sweet. I loved the veggies in it though and love how piping hot it was, plus the white rice was a good consistency. Overall an enjoyable meal but just too sweet for me to return here if I'm craving Thai.
As someone who's not from this town, I was surprised to find a great thai spot. Not only is the place in a cute brockstone building with fun decor but the food is great too. Service is quick and friendly and very attentive. Must get is the chive pancakes! Never had pancakes like this before as it was full of flavor and a wonderful chewy texture from the rice flour. Another great find for the city and would come again!
Food was delicious! Service was slow but they were slammed with take out/delivery orders so we were understanding. The red curry (a pumpkin curry) was spicy and super flavorful. The pad woon sen on the other hand was not spicy at all and super tasty. The taro Thai custard was a unique blend and was a great way to end our meal!
Officially found my new favorite Thai spot in town! Be More Thai is the perfect date spot with a cute and unique decor, delectable food and excellent service. We ordered chicken sautay, pad see ew and green curry-- all which were flavored to perfection and devoured in an instant. Our server, Dara, was so friendly and attentive to our needs. We absolutely loved this Thai restaurant and can't wait to go back!
Absolutely insane, one of the best Thai food I've had, comparable to Thailand itself. Great, accommodating service too. + Gai Yang ($9.95 for 3 skewers): pricier, but sweet, tender chicken well worth it. (8.6/10) + Chicken Tamarind ($16.95): fried chicken coated in a sweet chili-like sauce (tamarind) with some broccoli and carrots and a bowl of rice (8.7/10) + Pineapple Fried Rice ($19.95): gorgeous, dark yellow color mixed with plump shrimp, chicken, onions, raisins, and cashews (8.7/10) + Panang Salmon ($22.95): great curry sauce flavor!! (8.8/10) + Pork Belly Bowl ($20.95): shredded pork belly was on the leaner side. Enjoyed the traditional pairing with egg, boiled veggies and preserved cabbage (7/10)
I Yelped "Asian restaurants" in Baltimore's awesome Federal Hill district. Seeing multiple positive reviews, I decided to give it a try. So glad I did! $17.95 for a three-course lunch. Delicious. The Tom Yum soup was flavorful and lemongrass forward - not bland. Worth the short walk from "Be More's" Inner Harbor. Recommended!
Great ambiance with Asian inspired decor. Staff was friendly and food came out fast. The plum wine was very sweet, would be good over ice or seltzer water. I had the pineapple fried rice, added basil to it (extra $2) and asked for it to be spicy. It had a mild curry flavor and lots of big pineapple chunks as well as a good amount of shrimp and chicken. The bangkok street ka pow was good and on the sweeter side. Fried egg was crispy but not a lot of minced chicken. Overall, had a good experience there for lunch.
I have thought about what I should say in this review considering my own brother raved me to about this place. Let's start with the positive. The decor and ambience was nice. The server was friendly and nice as well. Food didn't take long to be served. Negative unfortunately for me was every food thing we tried. Chive pancakes were small square blocks which were bland and oil soaked. The duck over rice I got can use a complete rehaul. The mushrooms in it were not remotely edible. My bf tried it and had a bad taste in his mouth the rest of the evening. I tried to doctor it up with condiments but that did not help. He got a pad pumpkin which was bland. The pumpkin had an odd texture. If you don't want ice or want less ice in your drink it costs money?? What in the heck is this weird rule?? Never encountered this anywhere in my life. I was so sad and disappointed. I really wanted to like this place and thought about whether I should write a review or not. But I feel like they need to know not one food item we tried that night was good. How it all cost $65 for 2 people I don't know. I did overhear the place is under new management so now wondering if the menu or recipes have changed? I do not think we will be returning here.

We had a great experience at Be More Thai Restaurant and will definitely be back! I really liked the atmosphere, especially the upstairs dining area--it had a nice, comfortable vibe. We tried the spring rolls, green curry with tofu, Pad Ka Pow, and mango sticky rice, and thoroughly enjoyed everything. The food was flavorful, fresh, and definitely hit the spot. The Thai tea was also good, although it was a little too sweet for my taste. One suggestion would be to ask customers how sweet they would like it, if possible. The wait staff was very attentive and responsive throughout our meal, which made the experience even better. Overall, great food, great service, and a really enjoyable atmosphere. We'll definitely be going back! read more

This was a late night stop in, and they were nice to seat us 40.mins before closing. I grabbed the curry puffs which was stuffed with pumpkin and more with a cucumber dipping sauce, 10/10. I have been going here for a few years and always enjoy a quiet meal, and the food I am always pleased with. Stop in and check them out. read more

Thank you for your review.
Let's make this easy for you...The food, service and ambiance are all 5 stars. I love this restaurant because it's perfect for any occasion: birthday, lunch meeting, date night, whatever you are looking for the staff will go above and beyond to make your experience a delight. The food here is prepared and served with love. I've had the same waiter 4 times and she not only recognized me but also encouraged me to try something new each time. By the end of each meal I'm satisfied with each of her suggestions. Today, my server suggested the tofu soup. For extra protein I asked for chicken to be added. The clear broth is balanced and soothed my soul. It's the perfect way to start your meal leaving you wanting more. The Pad Kee Mao has flat noodles tossed in a delicious savory sauce. I am always looking for some extra spice so my server brought over extra pepper flakes, fish sauce, pickled peppers and other seasonings to adjust the flavor to my palate. I suggest tasking the dish first before adding any of the extras. It can get really spicy if you're not careful. The dish is perfect as it was but if you want a drunken noodle spice, add extra pickled peppers and fish sauce to punch up the flavor. I can't wait to go back. read more

This place is high quality! I ordered Chicken satay and kao soi and OMG, my mouth and belly were more than satisfied with a burst of flavor and deliciousness. Ambience: small venue with an intimate feel. We sat on the second floor and we really enjoyed the setup. Service: amazing! Our server told us about the restaurant, their process. For sourcing Thai ingredients, and made PERFECT recommendations for us as first timers. Quality: 15/10. The chicken satay- y'all, get this for an appetizer. Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The kao soi was delicious with a little spice. Long story short, I ate so much that I was gonna burst. Everything was delicious and I see why this place previously had great reviews. read more
I've been dying to come to Be More Thai for forever based on the Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint! It was a Monday night and it was pretty quiet inside with only a few other people dining in. The inside is really cute with a few tables downstairs and a few more upstairs. We ordered the pineapple fried rice and the chicken pad thai. Everything was delicious! The serving sizes were huge and just enough for the two of us to share and still have leftovers. The pineapple fried rice was probably the favorite from the night. It wasn't too sweet or too spicy but had a perfect blend of flavors. There was some type of spice in there that I couldn't place that made it absolutely incredible. Curry, maybe? It comes with a good amount of chicken and shrimp too which were perfectly cooked. The pad thai was some of the best I've ever had - very flavorful with plenty of toppings. The menu is a bit overwhelming, especially if you're dining in. They handed us each four or five different menus which almost made my head explode. Some of the items on the menu are not described in great detail so if you aren't very familiar with Thai cuisine, you might feel a bit confused. For example, I actually didn't realize that Thai iced tea came with milk already mixed in. I assumed if it had milk, it would be listed as "Thai milk tea" or something like that. Lo and behold, I was wrong and had to send the Thai iced tea back since I can't drink milk. I felt pretty stupid having made this error. If you are a Thai food novice, maybe do some Googling while you're perusing the menu so you don't make the same mistake as me. Overall, it was a great meal. I will 100% be back for that pineapple fried rice and can't wait to try more from the menu. read more

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that our dishes don’t live up…
Great Thai place in Fed Hill. The restaurant is skinny since it seems like a converted row home. They do most of their seating on the 2nd floor, but there are a few tables available on the 1st floor if stairs would be an issue. The 2nd floor is decorated with flowers and string lights and there's music playing over speakers. Some great ambience! The place is small so they can likely only fit 1 or 2 larger parties. I thought the food was good! I had the pad see ew which had great stir fry flavor and I really enjoyed the consistency of the noodles. Tom yum soup was good. Pad Thai was good but a slightly different flavor than I'm used to; maybe a little too sweet. Overall, nice Thai place. Prices are pretty comparable to other Fed Hill restaurants. I'll be back to try other dishes. read more

Wow I cannot say enough about how good this spot is! My friends and I stumbled upon it and I'm so glad that we did. I had the be more fried rice with steak, so good! So much flavor, big portion, everything tasted very fresh. I also a Thai iced tea (amazing) and had the mango sticky rice for dessert (also delicious - see picture!). There is such a large selection, it was hard to pick but I can't wait to come back again and try more options. read more

Such a cute little spot! Staff was great, and quick. Thai iced tea was good, just the basic. All of our food, for a group of 6, came out within 15 minutes and was hot and delicious. The entrees with a little pepper drawn next to it were definitely spicy with a kick, but great. Highly recommend the curry puffs. Will be back here if ever in the area. This is definitely a cute date location, nice and intimidate and private. read more

this place was so cute! our original dinner place was closing soon and this place was open till 10 so we tried it out - the portions are small but we were both full at the end. my friend got the massaman curry and i got the chicken satay (appetizer) because i had eaten a bit earlier, the chicken was so yummy and the dips were great for it. the highlight was 100% the dessert, we got buo loy and mango sticky rice and they were so good and perfectly warm, not too sweet. the servers were so nice and attentive even tho we came in at like 9 and left when they closed. definitely would recommend and come back here for a date read more

Really enjoyed the food here. My wife and I came cause we were craving Thai and we ended up ordering duck rolls, pork belly, and khao suey. The duck roll was crispy and full of flavor, and the pork belly was fried perfectly. The khao suey had good flavor and broth amount, and really helped give the meal some juice. We also got the mango sticky rice and it was divine. Now parking is a little tough so just try your best to find a good spot. The inside is also very cozy and cute. Our hostess was nice as well. My sister, Farah (also reviewed it) had a different experience where it was not the best (she came after I recommend it to her) but she ordered different things. Regardless, my wife and I recommend this spot. read more

This Thai spot is a hidden gem! Went here on a whim while in Baltimore and the Yelp reviews definitely did not disappoint. From the moment you step in, you are transformed into a tranquil, cozy place, and welcomed with a warm smile. We came at around 8:30pm and it was not packed at the time. We were led upstairs and seated at one of the bigger tables by the window. The decor in this place is so cute! The room is dimly lit and noise levels are low, so it'd be a good spot for non-chaotic talking. The food, however, is the true star of the show. Each dish we ordered is so flavorful. Standouts for me are the Tom Kha (very sour, which I like), the Kra Pow (which has a good hint of spice), and the Sticky Mango Rice (we ordered three and wanted more!) The service is very friendly and attentive. Would love to visit this place again when in Baltimore. read more
